"Where did Cat Noir go?" asked Fury as everyone looked around for him.
"He wouldn't just… leave," said Ladybug as she noticed Plagg flying toward them with the ring in his small hands.
"I'm sorry, Ladybug," said Plagg.
"But Cat Noir said he can't do this anymore," he said while handing over the ring before vanishing into it.
"Okay, what is going on here?" asked a shocked Myst.
"I don't know, but I'll find him and ask Cat right now," said Ladybug as she clutched the ring in her hand. However, before she could move the wind began to pick up again while forming a small twister on top of a building.
"Oh, I'm afraid that you won't be able to do that," said Hawkmoth as he appeared from the twister.
"You came to face us by yourself instead of sending an Akuma?" asked Ladybug. As she put her attention on the supervillain, she sent the ring into the Miraculous Box through her yo-yo which still hung on her side.
"Who said I was alone?" asked Hawkmoth with a wicked grin. A laser then shot the four, knocking them to the ground below but they luckily phased through it.
"Ugh, did anyone get the number for that truck?" asked Fury while they came back to the surface. Even though they didn't hit the ground, the laser hit them hard enough that they still took damage.
"Not the time for jokes, bro," said Myst.
"Who are they?" asked Ladybug as she noticed a large version of Madcap with thicker armor covered in spikes and Skullivar who had turned into a large green skeleton monster without any robes to hide behind.
"Meet Megacap and Skull Master, my new associates," said Hawkmoth.
"You can Akumatize more than one person again?" asked Ladybug.
"Oh, I can do much more now," said Hawkmoth as his wings opened up at the same time the eyes started to glow.
"Whoa," said Alya as she and the others noticed the light before they and everyone else that saw it started to be Akumatized.
"I can make an unstoppable army of Akumas without the need of a single butterfly, just how long can you four heroes hold out against a city of villains?" asked Hawkmoth.
