Mike is going to make sure Will has the best time, all that Mike's focusing on is Will. Making Will happy is what will make him happy, nothing matters more to him than Will.
"Mike! Will's here!" Mrs. Wheeler yelled to her son from downstairs.
Mike jumped off his bed, almost falling down from the sudden movement, but how could he hold all his excitement in? He rushed down the stairs as he slid a little to the spot next to his mom. He smiled at Ms. Byers and most importantly Will.
"Hi Will!" Mike grabbed Will's hand and pulled him into a comfortable hug. Will smiled as he wrapped his arms around Mike. "Hi Mike." Mike pulled away from the warm gesture. "Come on! You said we could do a puzzle when you came!" Will chuckled. "Yeah, I have it in my backpack." Mike smiled and grabbed Will's hand and pulled him upstairs.
Mrs. Wheeler laughed at her son. "I'm really sorry he didn't say hi to you, he's just so excited for this sleepover with Will." Ms. Byers laughed as well. "No I understand, Will has been asking me over and over when it was time for me to drop him off." Mrs. Wheeler smiled at that. "I hope they stay this close for as long as they can, it's not that easy to find someone like how they found each other." Ms. Byers smiled at Mrs. Wheeler "Me too." Ms. Byers said her goodbyes after leaving Will's things with Mrs. Wheeler.
Will toed off his shoes after he walked into Mike's room, since Mike was wearing his socks he might as well walk around in his too. "Okay! What did you bring?" Mike hopped onto his bed and crossed his legs as he looked at Will with adoring eyes. Will flushed slightly as he unzipped his backpack and pulled out a puzzle.
A few minutes later found them completing a 700 piece puzzle of the ocean. "Mike, do you have a piece that matches this?" Will showed Mike the couple of pieces he already put together. "Oh yeah, look." Mike slid his own pieces he put together and combined them with Will's. "We make a great team." Mike smiled at Will. Will smiled back. "Yeah."
"Boys! Dinner!" Mike and Will just had finished the puzzle before they jumped up and started rushing downstairs. "I made meatloaf for y'all." Mike took his seat and scooted another chair out for Will to sit. "Thank you, Mrs. Wheeler." Will smiled as he sat down next to Mike. "Your welcome, honey." She walked over to the table and rubbed his head a little before serving them their food.
Will took a bite of his meatloaf and smiled. "This is really good, Mrs. Wheeler!" Mike rolled his eyes. "Aw come on! Your mom makes it better!" Mrs. Wheeler playfully gasped dramatically. "Unbelievable, Michael! You treat your own mother that way?!" She put her arm over her forehead dramatically, smiling as she saw the two boys laughing. "Mom I'm sorry I didn't mean it!" Mike smiled at his mom. She smiled back, but continues on with her dramatic little show.
"You wound me, Michael." Mike laughed as Will thought of something. "I think your meatloaf is amazing Mrs. Wheeler!" Mrs. Wheeler smile widened. "Then I guess that makes you my favorite boy out of all Mike's friends, but don't tell them." Mrs. Wheeler winked at them playfully and left the two boys with teary eyes from laughing to hard.
After Mike and Will finished their food Mike came up with a fun idea. "Ooh! I have a fun idea we can do!" Will watched Mike with a curious look as Mike got up quickly. "Come on!" Mike ran upstairs. "Oh!" Will rushed and followed Mike hurriedly.
"Mom!" Mike opened Mrs. Wheeler's bedroom door. "Yes, Mike? Is something wrong?" Mike smiled. "Nope! I just wanted to ask if me and Will can make muffins?" Will beamed at that idea from behind Mike. "Hm, I don't know you really did hurt me earlier." Will laughed as Mike whined with a small smile. "Moomm!" Mike dragged out the word with the same whiny tone. "Please! I'm sorry!" Mrs. Wheeler acted like she was thinking about it when she already knew the answer.
"Okay, fine." She smiled as Mike practically brighted. "Okay! Thank you mom!" Mike kissed his mom on the cheek and rushed back downstairs with Will. Mrs. Wheeler smiled, these we're always going to be her and Ms. Byers boys.
"Okay, so the box says..." Will trailed off as he scanned the back of the box of muffin mix. "Ah! One cup of water, two eggs, a table spoon of cooking oil, half a table spoon of sugar, and pour the mix in. Ooh! We also have an option to put chocolate chips in the mix after!" Will smiled brightly at Mike. Mike smiled back before filling up the measuring cup with water.
Will grabbed a bowl and let Mike pour the water inside. "What's next after the water?" Will grabbed the box and looked over it again. "Two eggs, I'll grab them." Will handed Mike the box as he opened the fridge and grabbed the carten of eggs. "Here I'll hold the bowl in place so it doesn't spill." Will took two eggs out of the carten carefully.
Mike held the bowl as Will cracked one egg on the edge and hoverd it over the bowl and broke the egg shell. "Wow, you need to teach me how to do that without making a mess everywhere." Will chuckled as he cracked the other one on the edge of the bowl and let the yolk spill into the bowl.
"Okay, now a table spoon of cooking oil." Mike opened the cabinet and reached up for the cooking oil. "Ugh, I can't grab it." Mike looked over Will. "Will?" Will looked up from the box. "Yeah?" Mike flushed slightly. "Can you get the cooking oil?" Will laughed softly. "Yeah."
Will climbed up on the counter and stood up and grabbed the cooking oil and handed it down to Mike. Mike put it down and helped Will get down safely. "Here's the table spoon." Will opened the cooking oil as Mike held the spoon over the bowl. Will poured the cooking oil carefully and stopped once the table spoon was full.
Mike dumped the cooking oil in the bowl as Will closed up the bottle and put it to the side to put it back later. "Okay, now what?" Mike grabbed the box. "Half a table spoon of sugar!" Mike put the box down and whined as he saw the sugar up where the cooking oil was. "Want me to get it?" Mike smiled shyly. "Please?" Will laughed as he climbed up the counter again.
Will handed the sugar down to Mike and Mike put it down and helped Will down again. "Thank you." Will smiled. "Your welcome." Mike smiled back. "Okay now we need to pour half inside the table spoon." Mike opened the sugar. "I can pour it if you keep the table spoon steady." Will grabbed the table spoon and put it over the bowl. "Of course."
Mike poured the perfect amount of sugar into the table spoon. "Perfect!" Will dumped it into the bowl. "Alright!" Mike pulled the mix out of the box and poured it into the bowl.
