It had been a month since Rusty was out in jail. Marcus couldn't help but feel bad for this. He could try to convince everyone that he doesn't know what he was doing, but it would be pointless. As for Rusty's parents, it turned out that they were victims of the Beedrill's wrath for letting that boy to be his trainer. But that information was not given to Rusty, because he would be extremely distraught by what had happen. Marcus went on to defeat all of the gym leaders, but he didn't went on to defeat the Elite Four. He just didn't feel like it. After a while, Marcus decided to not get his Pokémon involved with what is happening, so he gave them to a reserve. Of course, they don't want to leave him, he managed to convince all of them that he couldn't take care of them at this state. So with a finally goodbye and a tear, his Pokémon was given to the reserve. He knew that it was for the best because now they can make new friends and have their own family. The only Pokémon he kept was Athena who evolved into Gardevoir and the reason for that is because she is the only one that wants to stay with him no matter what. In the end, Marcus decided that Athena can stay because it is better to have company. As for Rusty, he is in prison serving his time. He was given life without parole and the prisoners either fear or respect him. Right now, they were in a room where family or friends would talk to the prisoners, where Marcus was talking to Rusty. "...and then those Dewgongs then said that I should make my own deli. Can you believe it?" Rusty said on the other side of the glass panel. "I guess." Marcus said. Marcus apologized to Rusty for splitting up with him, but Rusty said that it was fine since they didn't know that Rusty would get arrested. Just then a buzzer was heard in the room. "I guess visiting times are over. I'll see you tomorrow." Marcus said. "Ok. See you later. Also, tell my parents I said hi." Rusty said with a smile. Marcus nodded, not letting Marcus know about what had happen to them.
Marcus, along with Athena were in the forest for a walk, with Marcus talking to Athena. "So in short, Rusty is doing alright, except when he is the cook." Marcus said. Athena couldn't help but giggle by what Marcus had said. But then, she felt something and turned to get ready. "Athena? Are you ok?" Marcus asked. He turned to see what she was looking at. Coming out of the forest was something they have never seen before. It was a shiny Bidoof with a muscular body wearing red shorts. He was floating near them with Athena preparing a Shadow Ball. "Calm yourself sister. I am not here to end you two. I am here because I am looking for the one who created me. My father." The Perfect Bidoof said. Athena the lowers her arms, but not her guard. "Ok. Putting that aside. Why did you came to us?" Marcus asked as he is a bit nervous about what he is seeing. "I came to you two is because you sir know my father. He wears clothes that are red and I believe his name is Rusty." The Perfect Bidoof said. "Oh. If that is the case, Rusty is in the Kanto County Correctional Facility." Marcus answered to the Perfect Bidoof. "I see. Wait for me here. I will return." Then the Perfect Bidoof then flew out of the forest, possibly to the prison Rusty was in. Both Marcus and Athena looked at each other with confusion and concern. "I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that we should run, but let's stay. It is best not to piss him off." Marcus said to Athena as he sat down. Athena looked at her trainer then at where the Perfect Bidoof went. She could just teleport herself and Marcus away, but she felt some sort of restrained power coming from the Pokémon. So, she decided to stay instead of seeing what the Perfect Bidoof is capable of.
After waiting for what seems like an hour, the two then saw something in the distance. It was the Perfect Bidoof, with appears to be Rusty who is being held by some unknown power. The two then landed to the ground as Rusty ran up to Marcus and hugged him. "Marcus! It is good to see you again! Have you met Peanut Butter?" Rusty said as he points to the Perfect Bidoof, who is now named Peanut Butter. "I did met him before. He came to me asking where you are, and I told him where you are." Marcus said. "That is good to hear. Now that I am out of jail, I can now take on the Elite Four!" Rusty said with confidence. "If you plan on doing that, here." Marcus then hands Rusty all of his badges. "I don't need it anymore, and it seems that you need it more than me." Marcus said. Rusty looked at the badges with amazement. "Thank you so much Marcus. I owe you big time! Peanut Butter. Take us to the Elite Four!" Rusty said excitingly. "Very well father." Peanut Butter said as the group was engulfed with light. As the light died out, it was revealed that they were at the entrance of the Elite Four. Rusty was about to enter, only to be stopped by Marcus who put Athena back in her ball. "Woah Rusty. Before you go in, I need to let them know that you are coming. So that way, they can be prepared. Also, Peanut Butter. Can you get like a death sentenced prisoner and bring him here to show what you are capable of?. Marcus said as he wants to warn them about the God like Bidoof. Both Peanut Butter and Rusty nodded and with Rusty waiting while Peanut Butter went out to find one, Marcus went in. Marcus ran through the doors, and saw the Elite Four talking about something. They stopped as they saw him came through the doors. "Hey kid. Why are you here? You don't have an appointment or the badges to be here." One of them said. "I know you are busy and what not, but if you don't listen to me, this meeting could be your last." Marcus said which confused the Elite Four. "Ok. Rusty! Peanut Butter! You can come in now." Marcus yell out. Then in an instance, Peanut Butter and Rusty came out of nowhere, with Peanut Butter holding a bag that was struggling. "Alright! Get ready to lose!" Rusty said with confidence. "That is right. Let me show how capable I can be." Peanut Butter said as he opened the bag, revealing a prisoner. Then with a snap of his finger and uttering the word "Bidoof", the prisoner screamed as small Bidoofs came out of his eyes and mouth. This kills him in the instance, as the Elite Four watched in horror. "Now that is out of the way. Who wants to be first?" Rusty said, oblivious of the horrible death. "Uhh. No one. We changed the rules. You are now the champion. Congratulations. Please for the love of everything, don't kill us." One for Elite Four said, while whispering the last part. "Oh my Golduck! I did it! Take that everyone who told me to give up on my dreams!" Rusty said with excitement. "Ok. Now that is out of the way, let's me update the Pokédex for that scary magic murder Bidoof. Is it a new legendary?" Rusty then widen his eyes when he heard the word "legendary." "Oh Dangela! I'm not done, I still need to catch the legendaries! Come on guys!" Rusty said with excitement. "I live only to slake your blood thirst, father." Peanut Butter said as the two leaves, leaving Marcus with the Elite Four. "Ok, I am gonna go now. If you four are planning to fight that thing, I would think twice." Marcus said before running after them, leaving the Elite Four with the corpse.
The two boys and their Pokémon are hiding in the bushes as they watch a Suicune drinking from a pond. "Is that a legendary?" Rusty asked. "Well, from what I can get from the Pokédex Peanut Butter "found", it is." Marcus said as he hold out Pokédex covered in blood. "Cool. Now, Peanut Butter, use uhh. Umm. What do you know again?" Rusty said only to be confused as he doesn't know Peanut Butter's moves. "This." Peanut Butter said as he held out his arm towards an empty space, then with a flick of his wrist, the space exploded, reducing everything near to it into dust. "Cool. Now let's do it on..." Rusty said only to see that the legendary ram away. "Not again! Marcus, why did you tell Peanut Butter to use his moves before using it on other Pokémon? This is like the sixth time!" Rusty said frustrated. "Well, I just felt like it." Marcus said while Athena rolled his eyes. Just then, they heard a voice. "Hey there boys. You two lost your tour group. Why don't you hop on in with us?" They turn to see a woman driving a tour bus filled with people. "Wait, why? Are we in the woods? Because we have been just wandering around." Marcus said. "Woods? No, this is the Safari Zone's Legendary Pokémon Preserve." The woman said. "Wait? Are you saying that they are all here and they can't escape?! Oh boy!" Rusty said as he drags Peanut Butter into the bus. Both Marcus and Athena looked at each other, before shrugging and entering the bus. With that, the bus begins to move, as the woman speaks to the people inside. "Welcome back to our tour. I'm Safari Marge. On our left are elemental birds, and on our right are just so many fairy babies." Marge said as she shows the group the legendaries. "Huh, I thought Safari Zone was where you pay money to throw rock at Pokémon." Rusty said. "Oh goodness no! That is not like that at all. Safari Zone is where he help treat Pokémon that can't survive on their own, and we show people what they are like. It is also a nature preserve." Marge said. "How are able to capture these powerful, godlike creatures?" Peanut Butter asked in confusion. Marge couldn't help but chuckle by that. "Legendary Pokémon aren't Gods. They are Legendary because they are super endangered. Trainers and poachers go out hunting for them because they think they have magic. But in reality, they are no different than your average Pidgeys or Cubones. If we don't take care of them, they'll go extinct, like dinosaurs or dogs." Marge said as she explains about the legendaries. "Oh yeah. I remember dogs. I read a book saying that there were these creatures that didn't have any elements. I also read that the last living dog died a couple of years ago. I bet whoever owned it missed it dearly." Marcus said as he remembers reading something about it. "Of course they missed it. Everyone missed dogs. But these poor legendaries could never survive out of these walls. See over there." Marge said as she points out where everyone else turned to. It was an Arceus, struggling to walk. "Not a single mouth or foot. I don't know what kind of God made that, but he was clearly running out of ideas." Marge said, only for a hunter to come out of the trees. "Come here big boy! I am gonna grind you up and sell you to horny Kalos Businessman!" The hunter said. "Damn it Doug!" Marge said as she got out of the bus to confront the hunter. The group could just watch, as Peanut Butter let out a year from what he has heard. "Today I have discovered my true opponent: Mankind greed." Peanut Butter said. "I believe that it is time for me to do something about it." Before Marcus or Rusty could ask, Peanut Butter disappeared, only to reappear in front of Doug. Then suddenly, Peanut Butter electrocuted Doug until he was unconscious. "Oh boy. That is going to be a lot of paperwork." Marge said a bit nervous. "Indeed. For the crimes of humanity have brought must be repaid. And this is the first page. A dark breeze blows on this day." Peanut Butter said as a storm begins to brew. "I thought my purpose was to serve, but now I see it is to rule. I will bare this world out of the Age of Man, and into the Eon of Doof." "By being my friend and doing everything I say, with no questions!" Rusty said out loud as he had left the bus and is now with Marge and Peanut Butter. Marcus and Athena could just stare in shock as what is happening. But before Rusty could say more, Peanut Butter electrocuted him unconscious. Then, Peanut Butter teleport both Athena and Marcus to where Marge is. "Marge. You are what I consider the only one I considered good in this cursed world. I will leave the Safari Zone and everyone working there alone. As for you two, I have plans for later. Now, I must go and fulfill my purpose." And with that, Penaut Butter took to the sky and flew off to commit his deeds. "This is not going to be well for business." Marge said.
It had been what appears to be almost two years since Peanut Butter had fulfilled his promise. Humanity have been reduced to being slaves to the Pokémon that were given the same intelligence as Peanut Butter. As for Marcus and Athena, Marcus was spared from slavery since Athena told Peanut Butter about how he took her in since she had no one to look after her. Because of that, Peanut Butter allowed Marcus to live among the others and not as a slave. As for Rusty, the last time Marcus heard of him, he was one of the many slaves, building the many monuments of Peanut Butter. Right now, Marcus woke up in his bed in what used to be the lab in Beign Town, which is now Athena's house. "Marcus! Breakfast is ready!" Athena said as she and many other Pokémon was given the ability to speak. "I'm coming." Marcus said as he went downstairs and he saw Athena making Breakfast. "Hey there buddy. How is your sleep?" Athena asked. "Just like the other sleeps. So, how is everything at your work?" Marcus said as he ate his breakfast. "Eh. It could be better, if these Magnemites weren't here, watching our every move." Athena said as she refers to the two Magnemites who were ordered to keep watch on them. "Eh. Better than nothing I suppose. Anyway, tomorrow is the anniversary of Peanut Butter's victory. Should we visit him?" Marcus said as he put his plate away. "Sure, why not. I got the day off for today and tomorrow. Let's go." So the two got prepared and head out to where Peanut Butter lives. He lives in a large mansion, overlooking at the pit where his slaves are working on his monuments, so it can be shipped out and set up across the world. Right now, he is standing at the window, looking down at the pit. "Master Peanut Butter. Lady Athena and Sir Marcus Holt is here to see you to talk about tomorrow." A Machoke in butler clothes said. "Bring them in." The Machoke nodded and left, only to come back a couple of minutes later with the two before leaving the three. "Uncle Marcus. Sister Athena. It is good to see you again." Peanut Butter said as he shook both of their hands. "It is good to see you again too. So, how are things doing?" Marcus said as they shook hands. "Things are doing fantastic. My rule is no longer being question, and every other humans besides you are under my control. Come and see." Peanut Butter said as he teleports them to the pit, leaving the Magnemites alone. There at the pit, they see the slaves working hard on the monuments, while being whipped by their Pokémon master. "The work is taking longer than I thought, but it is fine considering how fragile the human body is. As for tomorrow, I am thinking of a banquet in my honor." Peanut Butter said, before looking confer as he heard something. "Peanut Butter? Are you ok?" Athena asked. "It is fine. I need to deal with some unruly men at another place. They don't know how appreciative they should be." Peanut Butter said a bit angry. "I'll be back. Don't worry about the slaves attacking you. They know it is not wise to attack those who are close to me. If you want to visit Rusty, he is over there. Good day." Peanut Butter said as he points to the left before disappearing. With that, Athena and Marcus decided to go visit Rusty. So they walked through the pit to where Peanut Butter was pointing, only to see that Rusty wasn't there. "Huh, weird." Athena said only to see that Pikachu One is there. "Excuse me! Do you know where Rusty is?" Athena asked to the Beedrill. "The hell if I know. All I know that he fell down and disappeared. But I don't care about that son of a b-" Then suddenly, a needle pierced onto the Beedril's neck, knocking it out. Both of them looked in shock, only to hear that a voice. "Quick! You two. Get in!" The two turned to see Battle Bart in a hole. Deciding to risk it, the two enters the hole, with Battle Bart closing it as they went down.
When they reached the bottom, they saw a group of people getting ready for something, that Marcus was familiar with. It was Julian the EV trainer, Cleffaye Valentine, Barry the Bug Catcher, Battle Bart, a couple of prisoners Rusty told him about, and the last two Marcy thought he never see. "Rusty? Dad?" Both Rusty and Professor Tree turned only to get hugged by Marcus who was crying in tears. "I can't believe you two are alive. "Yeah, I'm alive. Glad to hear you call me dad. Anyway, you came at the right time." Tree said as they broke off the hug. "Ok. Now that we got you two. Let me tell you about this place. When Peanut Butter's reign of terror began, Red along with the world's top Pokémon expert into a single unified resistance. But, Bidoof killed them all. We are all that is left, and we need you two." Julian said. "Of course! Because I and Marcus created Peanut Butter, we are the only one to stop him!" Rusty said with confidence. "NO! Don't you get it, Rusty! This is all your fault! We need you two to stop you!" Battle Bart said in frustration as he slaps Rusty. "According to our top and only scientist. (Points to Professor Tree.) Everything bad that has happens, involves you. So everything is your fault." Julian said in frustration. The group then walked towards what appears to be Dialga in a tub of water. "We were lucky enough to get Dialga before Peanut Butter could give him his powers. So, we are planning on using his power to send you two back to the day where you gave me the sandwich." Professor Tree explained. "Ok, but what does this have to do with me?" Marcus asked. "We all know that Rusty won't listen to anyone but either himself or you. So we need at least one of you to go back in time and convince Rusty's past self to give up his dream and work at the deli." Julian said. "That seems like a good idea, except for the deli part. What other plans do we have?" Rusty said only to be thrown in the tub. Marcus looked at the tub then at Athena. Both know that if he does this, they would never meet again in the new timeline. "Well? I guess this is goodbye. Hope we meet again." Athena said. "Same here." Marcus said as the two hugged. "Now if my calculations are correct. This would only kill one of you." Tree said as he held out a Magnemite. Both Athena and Marcus looked in horror at what Tree was holding. "Dad. Where did you get that?" Marcus asked in fear about the Magnemite. "Oh this. I found it outside, why?" Tree said. "Because Peanut Butter had one of them to watch us twenty four seven!" Marcus yelled out. Then for a few minutes there was silence. "Oh crap." The suddenly, a wall burst through, revealing Peanut Butter behind it. "I knew you would get Marcus, so I faked leaving and had one of my security guards to watch and wait for you to reveal yourselves. Now that I found you, you will all die." Peanut Butter. Everyone was scared but then Marcus then had an idea. He remembered that a long time ago, Rusty made a sandwich so good, that even the meanest Pokémon can become nice. Marcus then scoot to Rusty, and begins to whisper to him. "Rusty. I am going to distract Peanut Butter. You need to make your Rusty Special. I know you don't want to, but you need to make it to save us! Go!" Marcus said Rusty before getting in front of the group. Peanut Butter noticed it, while not Rusty sneaking into the kitchen in the base. "Marcus. I see that you care for these people, even though they are the cause for the misfortune of many Pokémon. So, I will give you this one chance. Will you join me in my new kingdom or die like the rest?" Peanut Butter said. Marcus looked at Peanut Butter then at the group. After thinking for a while, Marcus turned to him with an answer. "Peanut Butter. I understand why you are doing this. But doing this make you like us. I know what we did is unforgivable, but you need to know that there are those who are good. So, no. I am sorry but I will not join you." Marcus said. Peanut Butter look at Marcus then at the group. "I see. If that is the case, I am making your skin a belt." Peanut Butter said as he prepares to kill Marcus, only for Rusty to come in with his sandwich. "Ok, here is your sandwich. It better be worth it." Rusty said as he held out the sandwich. "On second thought, he will be my belt. You'll be my hat." Peanut Butter said as he now focus his attention on Rusty. "Wait, Peanut Butter! Before you kill all of us in a blind fury, can you at least try Rusty's sandwich. I promise you that it will be worth it." Marcus yell out in time. "I would normally ignore what you said, but considering that you are one of the few people that was kind to me and the sandwich smells delicious, I will try it." Peanut Butter said as he inhaled the sandwich. After he was done eating it, he was at a loss for words. "My goodness. This is the best thing I have ever tasted during my reign. It is so simple yet so elegant." Peanut Butter said as he got down to his knees and put his hand on Marcus. "Thank you, dear Marcus. I have shown me that there is hope buried inside even the worst of humanity." Peanut Butter said as he begins to look at Rusty. "Oh snap. He called you the worst of humanity! Yeah, burn." Rusty said, not knowing that he is the worst of humanity. "Come Marcus. Let us journey the stars in search of the hope you have shown me. Even Sister Athena will come if she likes." Peanut Butter said as he offer his hand to Marcus and Athena nodded as a response. Marcus like at the hand, then at Rusty, Athena, then the group. "Do it Marcus. This is what I raised you for, I think. Either way, you have done me proud, son." Tree said to his son. Then with a tear and a smile, Marcus turned to Peanut Butter. "I will gladly join you." Marcus said, only to get interrupted by Rusty. "Now wait just Wormadam one minute! I want to go on space adventure too!" Rusty complained. "Worry not Rusty. I will give you a reward that will that will benefit humanity." Peanut Butter said. "Aw yeah. Can't wait what is in store for Rusty!" Rusty said excitingly. "Are you ready Sister Athena and friend Marcus?" Peanut Butter. "I am ready." Both of them said at the same time. "Then we shall depart. And as a token for showing me the goodness in humanity, I will undo all of the damage both me and Rusty have done. The world shall be as it was." Peanut Butter said. Then Peanut Butter begins to shine, and everything in the base started to float. He then utter the word "Foodib." And the world was engulfed in a bright light.
Marcus woke up to see that he was floating in some sort of space. He looked around to see both the moon and Earth in front of him. "Worry not. I made sure that you can breathe here." Marcus turned to see both Athena and Peanut Butter floating with him. "Ok. Now before we go on this journey, I need to know what is happening back home." Marcus asked. "Fair enough. As I stayed true to my word, I have undone every damage both me and Rusty have done. Everything should be back in order. As for Rusty, I realized that he can never change his mind about his dream, so I had no choice but to alter his mind." Peanut Butter said, which concerns Marcus. "Wait, you didn't do anything bad to him? Did you?" Marcus asked as he was concerned for his friend. "Worry not. I know how much of a friend he was to you. So, I altered his mind just enough where he decided to work at a deli instead of being a trainer. I also brought back his parents and erased their memories about the Beedrill's wrath. As for the Beedrill, I disposed of him in an instance." Peanut Butter said. "Oh, I see." Marcus said a bit sadly. Peanut Butter seems to noticed it and floated up to him. "Marcus. What is wrong? Do you miss your family and friends?" Peanut Butter asked. "I do. But, it is just that Rusty really wanted to be the very best trainer there was. I know he doesn't care for his Pokémon or anyone else, but I know that he really wants to be a Pokémon trainer." Marcus said. "I know, but by doing what I have done, he is more happier than ever. Look for yourself." Peanut Butter said as he projects a screen from his fingers. It was showing Rusty, smiling as he hands out his own sandwiches to customers. Marcus looked at it in awe as he saw how happy Rusty is. "Wow. As long as he is happy, then I am good." Marcus said. "That is good to hear. Now, let us travel! The galaxies are full of wonder!" Peanut Butter said as he put Marcus on his back, he and Athena flew away from Earth and towards to adventure.

Epilogue.
It had been a a couple of years since they returned to Earth after their adventure. Peanut Butter was holding the child of Marcus and his wife, whom he met the day after they came back. Marcus went on a few dates with him, until they had gotten married. Unfortunately for him, he had an incurable fatal disease, but they managed to have a child before he passed on though a name wasn't decided yet. As for the wife, she was unfortunately killed in a car crash, when she was driving on a raining day. The baby managed to survive, and there is no other family or friend to take care of her, with Tree dying of old age and Rusty too busy taking care of the deli. "What ever shall I do with you, child?" Peanut Butter asked to himself in concern as he carried the child. He then look at the baby, and started to notice something. Nobody had ever noticed it, but Marcus had a noticeable birthmark on his right arm, and the baby has the same exact birthmark. Peanut Butter thought about it for a moment, until he put two and two together. "My goodness. You are your father! You are Marcus!" Peanut Butter said in shock as the baby laughed. At first, he wasn't so sure that it was possible, but then he noticed that Rusty was starting to turn unhappy and chained to the ground with a Beedrill watching over him. "Oh no. I know what I must do." Then in an instance, Peanut Butter teleported back in time, just in front of the lab. He then made a crib, where he put the baby in. After that, he made a note and wrote the name of the baby who will be the one to accompany Rusty, the one who will help Peanut Butter change his way during his way, the one who will change the future for the better. Marcus Holt. After making the name, Peanut Butter knocked on the door, and teleported back to his time line just as the door opened. A young Professor Tree came out looking dazed from his high. "Hello? Anyone home? Heh." Young Tree said, only to look down as he heard crying. "Hey little dude. Everything is going to be alright." Tree said snapped out of his dazed. He picked up both the note and the baby, and took them inside. "I don't know where you came from, but I will try my best. I can promise you that, (reads the note) Marcus Holt. Heh, that is a cool name." Tree said as the baby laughs. And that is how Marcus came to be, and how this involvement will later lead him to meet Rusty and go onto their adventure.
