Isolated. It's the only word that adequately describes the island that looks like a windswept iceberg. But there is something special about this island of ice and rock.
You see, this island is home to thousands of dragons. From big and small, they all call this place home with a single human. He sits atop the king of dragons. Who is none other than the Bewilderbeast, a calm and benevolent creature? But the man sitting atop the king's head where he meditated Is the one who keeps a watch over the sanctuary and the entire archipelago.
At first glance, he looks like any other Viking, clad in leather and plate armor with animal fur. He also keeps a red sash with a white skull that hangs from his hip. He also wears a mask crafted to look like the king of dragons. It sits firmly on his face, allowing his long auburn hair to flow freely behind it.
But the most striking thing about him is his tail tied around his waist. His meditation broke when he felt the king's rumble and stir beneath him. "What is wrong, my lord?" He asked, " I sense something, no, someone powerful, don't you, Hiccup?" The king's voice rumbled deeply in response.
" Yes, I do, but it's faint. I just thought it was another one of those outsider's spaceships' looking for me again. What was his name again, Cabba? But it's far more powerful." "Hmm, a power like this exceeds even the other three titan dragons. Who or whatever this spirit is, it cannot be left alone; go and find it."
"Yes, your grace." Hiccup flew toward the sanctuary entrance and out into the cold northern weather. As he passed in the direction of the power signature, he started to note the lack of other life forms.
Humans, plants, and dragons all had a distinct aura he could see, but the closer he got, the less he seemed to be present or alive. 'Wait, there are no human-inhabited islands this way. There is only... Hiccup's heart began to race, and his sweat dropped '... The green death hive.'
Hiccup raced to the hive, fearing for the worst. The green death came to inhabit the hive after Hiccup and Toothless killed the red end when he was fifteen; that was six years ago. The Green death was more than just another dragon; he became like a friend to him.
As he reached the entrance to Helheim's gate, Hiccup became more worried 'what the hell, I just sensed two spirits here. Now there's only one ... and it's fading; I must hurry.'
But it was too late; his worst fear had come to reality. The Green death lay outside the volcano, blood seeping from his wounds. Hiccup hovered above one of the dragons' eyes " What the hell happened?"
The Green death shakingly raised his head with pleading and pain-filled eyes. "Forgive me. I could not stop him." The Green Death's voice rumbled his bones with panic. " Stop who? Who did this to you?" "I do not know he came and tried to destroy my nest and kin. I tried to stop him. But I could not save anyone." Hiccup began channeling his power into the dragon, but nothing worked; his wounds wouldn't heal.
"Go... leave me." Hiccup only began to channel more power into him. "But if I leave, you'll die." " I have done all that I can do. Forgive me." Hiccup stopped channeling his power and gravitated back to face him" I... I'm...I'm sorry." Hiccup choked out these words. The Green death merely looked at him with acceptance in his eyes. "Go...boy...avenge us."
With those final words, The Green death closed his eyes and passed away. But Hiccup couldn't mourn the end of one of his mentors. He had to avenge this murder, focusing on any power signal, and then he found it.
"There you are." Hiccup raced towered the new signature, but there were three of them now; the Green Death said there was only one who attacked him. 'This doesn't make sense; who would be trying to kill the alphas? The northern alliance was defeated.'
Hiccup arrived at Nepenthe Island, and he could smell the ash and smoke from around him. he could only sense a dozen life forms around him. A faint cry came from the distance "H-He-Help." Hiccup recognized that voice. It was Mik, the current ruler of the island, who appeared to be stuck under a sizeable burnt tree. " Help me, guardian. please."
Hiccup rushed to his side and lifted the piece of debris off him. "Mik, what happened?" " It was a nightmare one moment, it was peaceful, and the next, the Foreverwing and the Purple Death began to fight this cat creature; they didn't stand a chance. He turned them to ashes." "Impossible".
But just like the Green Death, he was too late. " What did the cat look like? Did you get a good look at him.?" Mik closed his eyes, trying to remember while fighting back the pain caused by the burns on his body.
" H-He was purple, stood up like a human, and wore red pants. He dressed like some Egyptian Nobel." Hiccup dragged Mik, as he was explaining everything, from the forest onto the beach and began to heal him. " Guardian, I beg of you, some of my people are still stuck in the forest; help them." Hiccup looked in the direction of the forest. He may have lost his eyes, but he can still see the silhouettes by their aura.
" I'll help as many as possible, but when I get back, I need you to tell me where this cat went too." Hiccup reached behind him and gave him his canteen. Mik shakingly took it and drank the cool water until it was empty. "You have my word, old friend," he said breathlessly, handing it back to him.
Hiccup flew to the village and already could tell things were as bad as he thought. The town itself was engulfed in fire. Villagers ran around trying to put them out. He wasted no time helping them by saving those stuck under debris and burning buildings. As soon as the last man was saved, Hiccup joined the people in the center of the village. "It's the guardian." "Where were you?" "He helped us" "Thank you." Everyone began to surround him.
Thankfully Mik began to limp toward him, supported by one of the village healers. "Thank you, guardian." "Do you know where the cat went?" Mik looked at Hiccup with suspicious eyes. "Yes, but what will you do if you find him." He let out a low growl. "I'm going to kill him." Mik nodded
"He flew towards the North, the Shivering Shores. But be warned, whoever this… being is, it's someone far more powerful than the Alpha's." "I will take precaution against this foe. Take care of your people, Mik." "Good luck Guardian. May the All-Father give you strength against this new enemy." Hiccup flew away in the direction of the Shivering shores hoping it would not be too late to stop this menace for good.
As he flew over the cold Northern Sea, Hiccup reached down a griped the sash that flapped in the wind. 'Toothless, I promise, bud, I won't let their deaths be in vain.' Hiccup felt the same energy spike as before, but it wasn't coming from the Shivering Shores; it was closer… "The Sanctuary."
Hiccup wasn't too late this time, stopping between this being of immense power and the sanctuary. "Stop, monster." The creature turned to look at Hiccup with uninterested eyes. "Huh, and just who the hell are you?" "That's none of your concern. What is my concern is knowing what you are doing here?"
"That is something you may not understand, boy, seeing how primitive life here is here on earth." Hiccup growled behind his mask. "Oh, try me." "Hmm, well, if you insist. My name is Champa, the god of destruction for universe 6. I am here to see if there is a being on this backwater planet that can help me challenge my brother for bragging rights for having the strongest fighter. But all I have been able to find are a few fire-breathing lizards and a pathetic little village." Hiccups, blood began to boil.
"You-you killed them all for a stupid bet. You will pay for that in your blood."
Hiccup became enveloped in a yellow aura; his brown hair and tail became gold. Hiccup teleported, reappeared in front of Champa, and sucker-punched him in the gut, quickly knocking the wind out of him. "Humph pushover." Champa grabbed Hiccup's wrist, keeping him in place. Taken back by this, Hiccup noticed Champa began to chuckle. "Ha ha ha ha ah." "What the hell is so funny." Champa looked up at him with a grin "Your fast, kid, but you sting like a nat." Champa raised his hand and flicked Hiccup sending him flying and crashing through waves.
"Grrr, what the hell was that." Hiccup jumped back to his feet, shocked that a creature had so much power. Champa reappeared above him with his hands behind his back, still smirking. "What did you think going Super Saiyan would make a difference? What part of the god of destruction do you not understand?" Hiccup smirked behind his mask and looked back up at him. "Well then. I guess there's no point in holding back." Hiccup began to focus his power to complete his transformation.
"RRRRAAAAAAA" As Hiccup transformed, his body became slightly bulkier with his increased muscle mass, and the hair that initially reached his neck grew to get his back. "Hmm, so there is another Saiyan who can achieve Super Saiyan three. I guess Caulifla is going to have a run for her money."
The two fighters do nothing but stare at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. The noise of the ocean crashing into the sea stack became drowned out by the intense focus. Slowly Hiccup took his stance. Champa raised his hand and beckoned for him to start.
He launched himself at Champa in a flash, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks. Champa then caught both of Hiccup's fists, both shaking as he tried to get them free. "Not bad, kid, but don't think I'll let you land another hit on me." Hiccup chuckled. "What's so funny." Champa's question was answered by an upper kick to the chin and another, and he double-kicked him in the chest, sending him flying into a sea stack.
"Grr alight, now I'm mad." Hiccup and Champa began to fight with such force and speed that the only thing that could be seen were sparks of light in the sky when the two met. Champa threw a punch, but Hiccup dodged and got him in a headlock. "If you are a god, then you won't mind sharing some of your energy." Hiccup's hands began to glow a green hue "Siphon."
He began to steal Champa's energy but was shocked by the potency. He loosened his grip on Champa. "What the hell is this?" Champa broke Hiccup's grip and headbutted him away. "Do you believe me now?" Hiccup looked down at his hands. "This power is stronger than anything I have ever felt. It's incredible."
Champa grinned wickedly. "That is the power of the gods?"
Hiccup clenched both fists and looked back at him. "You may be a god, but that doesn't change what I said." Champa's grin turned back into a scowl as he continued. "You will pay in blood." Hiccup powered up again. "Heh, it's your funeral, kid."
They met again in a flurry of attacks. Hiccup through a punch to his face, and Champa blocked it and kneed Hiccup in the stomach. Hiccup recovered and did a front flip kick to the back of his head and brought both hands down on Champa's back, sending him into the ocean. "RRRAAAHHHH, I hate water; you'll pay for that." Champa flew at Hiccup with such speed that he didn't have time to react and instead was met with an uppercut to the chin, leaving him dazed. Champa grabbed both of Hiccup's ankles and began to spin like a top. "Take this."
Champa let go sending Hiccup flying with such speed and force that he crashed through sea stacks and pillars of ice unimpeded. He only stopped when he crashed through the roof of the sanctuary. Hiccup's apprentice Mimir came to his side and helped lift him. Hiccup groaned as he tried to stand up. "Master, what happened to you." Mimir was a young man who became Hiccup's apprentice after he saved the earth from the galactic invaders years ago. Mimir now helps save dragons when he is not training with Hiccup.
If Hiccup could see himself, he would sympathize with his worry. His armor was damaged, and in some parts, his skin was bare from the damage. His super Saiyan three form had dispersed. 'This fight isn't looking good. All right, new plan.'
"Mimir. I need you to take cloud jumper and escort all dragons to the hidden world."
"What? But master, I thought the sanctuary was impenetrable. Who could be strong enough to be a threat to the dragons." Boom…Boom…Boom. The duo had to steady themselves as they felt the island shake beneath them. They both looked up through an opening that had just been blown open to reveal Champa grinning like he had found a lost toy. Hiccup spoke without looking away. "A fat cat." "Grr, what did you just call me?"
Champa raised his hand and charged his next attack, "Haki," Champa launched a ball of purple and black energy at them. "Particle spear" A beam of white light shot from Hiccup's hand, and both attaches meet, creating a small explosion. They were in a stalemate, but the haki was slowly inching its way toward Hiccup and Mimir. Hiccup quickly became super Saiyan again and turned to his apprentice.
"Mimir, quickly take the dragons to safety now." "But master..." Hiccup turned his head to look at his apprentice. "No objection, NOW." Mimir looked shocked at the man; he considered him almost like a father figure. "Yes, master." Champa looked down, annoyed. "Your stubborn; I'll give you that. But just give up already." Hiccup stood his ground and felt the weight of the attack slowly getting closer as if he was trying to push a boulder up a river.
The ball closed the distance to where it was about a foot away from him. "It looks like this is it." Champa remained above, becoming bored, waiting for him to be destroyed. "Would you die already? It was stupid of you to pick a fight with a god like me. The least you can do is lie down and die with humility." Hiccup was beginning to think he was right. 'Do you hear me, my child?' The king of dragons began to speak to him telepathically.
'My lord, why are you speaking to me? Have you warned your flock?' 'I have my son but listen to me; do not believe him. You can still win.' 'But my lord, he is too powerful. I won't be able to last against him much longer.' The king growled at Hiccup's excuse. 'Maybe, but that should not stop you. Did the enemy's strength stop you from avenging the night fury, your brother? Did your opponent's strength stop you from saving the earth from the invaders? Time and again, you have faced an appointment beyond your limits, and each time, you have returned from battle victories. This time is no different; fight my son. For yourself, your apprentice, your friends, and those you have sworn to protect dragon and human.'
'If you fight, you can win because you are a warrior, a guardian; YOU ARE THE ALPHA.'
"RRRAAAAAA" Hiccup became enveloped in a yellow aura again. Still, this time it was more powerful and caused the entire roof of the cave to collapse around him stopped channeling his particle spear and took the ball of pure energy in his hands. "This might kill me, but it's worth a shot. Siphon" Hiccup began to channel the attack into his own hands. "I-I- Impossible. You should already be dead."
There was a giant flash of light that caused Champa to look away. Boom. Champa looked back, and he felt his sweat drop. There was a small crater from the explosion, but Hiccup was still there, and he was standing in a stock pose, feeling the newfound power rushing through his body. "I'm starting to like this god power you have. Mind if I try it out."
Hiccup floated up, smirking behind his mask. "What's wrong; cat got your tongue?" Champa growled, "How dare you mock me; die." Champa fired another blast at Hiccup, who raised his hand again "particle spear." His attack canceled out the shot, just grazing Champa's check. If he was mad before then, he was furious now. "How dare you…. How dare you" Champa became engulfed in a purple aura, his eyes practically popping out of his head. "Oh, are you mad? … Good." Champa gritted his teeth and was so angry his voice began to crack "I was going to kill you quickly, but now I'm going to enjoy making you suffer." Hiccup took a fighting stance. "I'd like to see you try." Champa took his view, and again the fighters met.
Hiccup blocked a punch and landed a spinning back kick to Champa's gut. He retaliated by nailing Hiccup with a jab and left hook, grabbed his wrist, spun, and threw him into an iceberg. Hiccup got back up and met him with an elbow to Champa's gut, followed by a trip and a down word heal kick. They both looked at each other, panting and scuffed up, but both knew only one thing. Only one of them is going to walk away. It's all or nothing.
The fight was so powerful that it could be seen across the archipelago from Caldera Cay, Nepenthe, BogBurgler island, New Berk, and even Berserker Island. Dagur and Mala stood on a cliff edge. Dagur gulped in fear. "Hiccup." Mik and his people trying to tend to each other's wounds and injuries, felt the earth shake, and the ocean began to ripple dramatically. Mik whispered, "Hiccup." Heather stood outside her house on Berzerker island, finding it a tad more challenging to move with her swollen belly. She felt a spike in power signature and the baby moved as if in response to it she placed a hand on her stomach and looked to the horizon. "Oh no, Hiccup." Camicazi on BogBurgler island looked out and saw the same lights, but even from so far away, could feel the two power signatures clashing together." It can't be; Hiccup."
Hiccup and Champa stopped fighting to take their breaths. Being used to constant fighting, Hiccup was fairing far better than his opponent. Champa was so out of breath that he was holding himself up with his hands on his knees, and his breath turned to steam and began to cloud his vision. " Grrr, that's it. I have had enough. I'm going to turn this archipelago into an underwater crater." The sky behind him began to fill with purple orbs, all emitting a powerful and chaotic energy. "You may have been able to absorb one Haki, but what are you going to do about a hundred." 'Crap, wait, I have an idea.' Hiccup gathered energy in his palm in the form of a lighting ball. He threw it at Champa, missing him entirely and disappearing into the dark and cloudy sky. "Ha, you missed what were you even trying to do?" Hiccup smirked behind his mask. "Not hit you." "What"
Hiccup raised both arms, and the sky above began to roar with thunder and belch lighting in all directions. "laugh all you want, but I will show you the power of dragons by the techniques they taught me, and I'll start right now. Rolling thunder." Hiccup thew his hands down, and streams of lightning came down and struck the orbs causing them to expand. One after another, the spheres began to explode in an array of lights that covered the night sky.
Champa had to cover his eyes from the sheer brightness of the explosions. Only to look back when it was over to see a clear sky. "Wah-h-how did you do that." "Simple your Haki is powerful, but its power is its weakness. You overloaded them to the point where all I needed was to add a little more energy, and they would explode like the stomach of a gluttonous emperor." Champa began to tremble with anger. "How dare you." Before Champa could fire off another attack, Hiccup used another ability taught to him by the skrills. "Lighting warp." Using a bolt of lightning to close in on Champa, Hiccup blocked his hand he raised his own.
Channeling his own power, Hiccup's hand glowed green "Wyvern blades." He did the same with his other hand, cutting an x over Champa's chest and, using lightning warp, teleported past him before he exploded. When the smoke cleared, Champa remained, but he looked shocked and physically weak. "What was that attack?" Hiccup turned around. "The wyvern blades are my ability; I learned from the Timberjack dragons." Champa could tell he was smiling behind that mask. "Will you just sit still and die." Champa raised his hand again to attack, and Hiccup stood ready to counter it. Before either of them could shoot, a beam of light shot just in front of Champa, missing his nose by a few inches. "What the hell." They both looked to where the attack came from. It was Mimr with Cloudjumper and the king of dragons, and now that he was spotted and attacked failed, he looked up with fear.
"I don't have time for this, die." Champa pointed his finger at him and fired a beam. "Stop." Hiccup cried out. Mimir was petrified; he couldn't move. As he braced for his inevitable death. The king of dragons turned broadside to shield him. It worked, but the beam pierced the king's heart "NOOO." Hiccup warped to them, knowing it was too late. "No, you can't die too." The king looked at Hiccup with tiered eyes. "Take courage, my son. I have done all I can do for you and my subjects. Promise me you will avenge us."
"I promise my lord I will stop him even if we both die." With his last breath, the king chuckled and smiled before closing his eyes. This can't be happening; what is happening?" Mimir began to tremble and stare in shock at what just happened; the king of dragons, the second most powerful being on the planet, was killed by a simple lift of his finger.
"Mimir." Hiccup remained motionless, his body still facing the deceased Bewilderbiest. "Y-yes, master." "How many dragons are left in the sanctuary?" "A hundred at least." "Take Cloudjumper, do what I told you before, and get the dragons to the hidden world NOW." Mimir hurried back to his feet, mounted a cloud jumper, and raced back into the sanctuary.
Champa remained floating above. After catching his breath, he summarized he might as well take this opportunity and wipe all these low-class creatures off the face of this resurrected planet. Champa gathered a small ball into his hands and lifted them until the ball became the size of a glacier. "This will do the trick. It's been nice, but now you have overstayed your existence. Sphere of Destruction."
"Master behind you." Hiccup was focused on getting the other dragons out of harm's way that he almost forgot about his enemy. 'Let's see if the second time works as well as the first." "I know, Mimir. I will take care of it now. Do as I say."
Hiccup stopped the attack like last time, but its sheer power made it impossible to absorb. 'Damn it, come on, come on.' But even with Hiccup's power boost, it was still futile. 'Well then, plan B.' while pushing on the Sphere of Destruction, Hiccup let go with one hand and aimed it at the actuary. He created a dome around it, leaving Mimir and all remaining dragons inside safe from the attack. 'If I die, at least they won't pay for it.'
As the sphere began to weigh heavier, Hiccup started to feel weak, making it impossible for him to keep it at bay. More and more, the sphere inched closer to him. Hiccup remained, but then his hand started to become absorbed. "AAAAAAGHHHHH" The pain was immeasurable; he had never experienced anything like it.
'Hiccup, do you hear me?' "My lord is that you, but you died." 'Yes, I am, but listen to me, my child. You will die here unless we help you.' "Wait? WE?"
'Yes, we, the other alphas, are with me. We will give you our power so you can finally defeat this menace. Are you ready?' The sphere by now had made its way up to Hiccup's shoulder. "Yes, I'm ready. Do it now."
From Champa's few, he stood there smiling, waiting for the entire island to be placed with nothing. "What the hell." There was a giant flash of white so bright it left him blinded for a moment. When he regained his sight, his heart dropped. Instead of being turned to ashes, Hiccup remained, but now he was beyond what Champa could think of. Hiccup had lost all his armor, and his upper body was bare, revealing numerous scars and tattoos around his body, non-more prevalent than the burn scar on his back. Hiccup's right arm had been vaporized to his shoulder, where blood seeped through the open wound. His mask remained on his face, but a portion had been damaged, revealing the right eye. It was dark and dull, a faint scar running across his face, haunted as to how he lost his sight. But Hiccup left Champa shocked because of the pure white hair that replaced his spiked golden main.
"No, that's impossible. There's no way a weakling like you could have achieved perfect ultra-insisting on his first try."
Hiccup remained silent and rebutted Champa by elbowing him in the gut and delivering an axe kick to the back of his head. 'Impossible how can someone move so fast?' Hiccup stretched his arm out again. "Wyvern blade." Hiccup used a lighting warp to teleport behind him and cleaved up his back, spun to slice down Champa's chest, leaving him stunned long enough for him to explode again. Champa recovered and fired a barrage of energy blasts " This is not happening. I am a god; people like you are supposed to bow before me."
Hiccup began to teleport toward him, closing the distance while effortlessly dodging the barrage. When he was close enough to Champa, He grabbed him by the throat. "Siphon." Champa began to feel his power draining from his body, and he felt weak. Hiccup charged a purple ball from his mask while holding Champa in place. "Plasma blast." Hiccup shot him point blank, sending Champa flying back.
"I won't lose to a malnourished monkey like you." Champa charged at Hiccup with a punch. He blocked it, but Champa was able to land a right hook. Titan and God traded blows with each other, but as time passed, both began to reach the end of their ropes. Their attacks seemed to turn sluggish compared to how they first started.
Hiccup hits Champa with a fury of kicks to the gut, chest, and face, finished with a particle spear to his back, sending him crashing down into the destroyed sanctuary. Champa remained motionless, but Hiccup knew he wasn't dead. Hiccup bald his fist as it became enveloped in purple, blue glow. "This will be my last attack. We will be judged together. Wrath of Odin." As Hiccup dove down with incredible speed, he emitted a night fury's cry.
Champa groaned and opened his eyes too late to see Hiccup enveloped in purple aura racing toward him. "I can't move." Hiccup crashed into him with such force that time slowed down, and a crater formed under them, cracking like a spider web. Champa's eyes rolled into the back of his head, and Hiccup could feel the bones in his arm crack under the sheer pressure from the punch. After that, Hiccup stood towering over him. He could see the aura around Champa slowly diminishing, and when it finally dispersed, Hiccup knew Champa was dead. "It's over." Hiccup took a large breath before sighing and falling beside Champa. Hiccups' power dissipated when his body hit the ground from complete exhaustion. "I won, but at what cost?"
Hiccup lay motionless for a few moments to catch his breath. But slowly, with much effort, he rose to his feet, his body crying out in pain from the trauma he endured. He got out of the creator and made his way towards the sanctuary. Years of residing here enabled him to navigate this place even when blind or in ruin.
Hiccup could feel his life fading away, the pain slowly starting to numb his senses. As he reached the main chamber of the sanctuary, he could sense no other life forms around; his efforts were successful in buying time to evacuate. As he walked, his mind began to flash visions of the people who had come to mean something in his life. "Dagur, Heather, Cami, Mik, Atali, Mother, My lord, Mimir, Toothless."
Hiccup finally stopped at a ledge overlooking the main chamber. Hiccup removed his mask and gave a weak smile as he sat down on the spot where he became the sanctuary's guardian and where he made peace with the tribes to stop hunting dragons.
As Hiccup lay there and began to drift unconscious, he felt his body being levitated. Before losing consciousness, he whispered, "Finally, Valhalla."
This was odd Hiccup always thought that when you die, you meet Odin, Freya, and even everyone you loved. He didn't expect to wake up on a marble floor looking up to see a breathtakingly beautiful woman looking down at him, smiling. She had blue skin and white hair, and a ring or halo hung from her neck, but her clothes were far from anything Hiccup knew of; then again, Hiccup didn't know what the fashion trend was anymore.
'Wait, I can see.' "Rise and shine, Hiccup" Hiccup was so shocked he jumped to his feet and immediately got in a fighting stance. "What the hell? Is this Valhalla? Where are the Halls, the rainbow bridge, and the Valkyries." The woman giggled while watching Hiccup have a mini freakout.
"They are not her because you are not dead." Hiccup stopped and turned back to look at the woman with a perplexed look. "If I'm not in Valhalla, then where am I?" "You're in the palace of the Omni king, young Hiccup. I found you after your fight with Champa and brought you here after healing your wounds, of course."
If she didn't have his attention before, she does now. "Wait, you heard me, but I was dead. I felt myself draw my last breath." "Yes, you did; however, I managed to bring you back by the last second. I also took the liberty of returning your eyes and lost arm."
'Well, at least that answers that question.' "Okay then, May I ask who you are because surely you wouldn't go through the trouble of bringing me back to life just to kill me again?" A male voice spoke up from behind the women, "I believe I can answer that question for you, young Hiccup."
The women moved to reveal a much shorter man with the same skin color, but his attire was different. He wore a blue shirt and pants with a red belt with an odd-looking buckle. But the most striking thing was his halo; It hovered above his head instead of around his neck.
"Please allow me to introduce myself as well as my daughter. I am the Grand Priest, servant of the Omni King Grand Zeno. This is my daughter Vadose, an angel and a teacher to the former god of destruction whom you know as Champa." Hiccup looked at her and smiled. "If your father speaks this highly of you, then you must be incredible." This compliment elicited a giggle and a blush from her and a chuckle from the Grand Priest. "No, Hiccup, she is a literal angel." "ohhhh, that makes sense… I think."
"Anyway, Hiccup, I had Vadose bring you here because of your battle with Champa." Hiccup's eyes narrowed, and he tightened his fists. "So, you brought me here to put me on trial?" The question sounded more like a threat, but the Grand Priest continued to smile at him and speak?
"Yes, and after being shown what had transpired, I have concluded that you, Hiccup are innocent. However, I'm sure you understand what you have done cannot go without consequence." Hiccup bowed his head; growing up, he learned that actions have consequences, justified or not. "Yes, sir, I understand; what is my punishment?"
"That is not for me to decide; instead, Grand Zeno himself will decide. Come with me."
In the blink of an eye, they teleported to what Hiccup could see was the throne room, and atop it sat a slight purple and blue creature with clothes that emphasized his position more. " Is this him the one who beat up Champa?" "Yes, your grace this if Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third." The Grand priest responded casually. Hiccup flinched at hearing his full name. He stopped using his full name after he went to Berk as a child to try and convince the people that dragons weren't evil. Instead, he barely escaped with his life and only a few dragons, including Toothless.
"Come here, please" Zeno gestured for Hiccup to come forward, and he did with apparent reluctance. "Y-Yes, Grand Zeno." "Tell me why you fought Champa." Hiccup gulped loudly and began to retell all of what had happened. He told the truth with no embellishments from beginning to end. From leaving and finding all the Alphas killed to his battle with Champa.
When he was done, Hiccup hung his head low in shame. Having to kill was never something he took pride in. Frankly, he did his best to find the most peaceful option, but this time like others, he was left with no choice. "That is my story Grand Zeno; believe me, he left me no choice. Not after killing my friends."
Grand Zeno remained expression, "Your right; Champa shouldn't have done that. He was bad, awful indeed." After hearing Zeno agree with him, Hiccup let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "But with Champa dead, Grand Zeno, who will take his place as God of Destruction for Universe six?" Zeno looked from the Grand Priest to Hiccup. "You will."
"What? Me, why me." Zeno perked up with child-like enthusiasm. "Because you killed a God, and even if a god is bad, there are consequences. So as punishment, Hiccup, you will be the new God of Destruction. Rules are rules." Zeno raised his hands, and immeasurable power began to flow through his body. When he looked down, he found his clothes had been replaced with the same ones Champa had but with some changes. Instead of red and black, the color was now green and black, but instead of circles on his sash, they were replaced with the different strike class and sharp class dragons like the night fury, the Skrill, and the timberjack.
Hiccup admired himself. "Sweet, an upgrade." The Grand Priest interrupted Hiccups musing, "Now, Hiccup, if you don't mind, Vadose and I will discuss your training. In the meantime, we will send you to the planet you will be staying for the time being. You remember Fuwa don't you?" Hiccup smiled. "Yes, I remember him; he trained me some time ago." "Excellent, now off you go." Like how they arrived, Hiccup was teleported to Fuwa's planet, where he was happy to finally see an old friend.
As soon as Hiccup arrived, he was greeted by the sight of a beautiful landscape; it reminded him of the archipelago. "Hiccup, is that you? It's been too long." He turned around to meet Fuwa, a short, green-skinned man with white hair done in a pineapple hair doo. Hiccup crossed his arms and raised his nose up at him. "That's Lord destroyer to you, Fuwa." Both men said nothing before chuckling before Fuwa continued, "My apologies, Hiccup, but I didn't think becoming a destroyer would mean we could no longer exchange pleasantries?" Hiccup rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "No, it doesn't, old friend, But I'm surprised you already know."
"Don't worry; Vados already told me everything while you were unconscious." Hiccup smiled before he took on a much more somber tone. He turned around and looked down at his reflection before looking ahead. "Fuwa, do you think I have what it takes to be a destroyer?" Fuwa looked at him before walking up and standing next to him. He placed a hand on his shoulder. "To be honest, Hiccup, I do. Since I and the other Kai's trained you, I believed you had the power to become great. You standing here further proves that I was correct in my belief."
Hiccup was glad to hear that "Thank you, Fuwa. But I must ask do you know why Champa came to my planet?" Fuwa hummed in thought. "My guess would be because of the previous tournament of power. I guess that after restoring the earth, he hoped to find a powerful being. Much like Beerus with Goku and Vegeta in universe 7." Hiccup started to think about what kind of person Champa was. After all, this wouldn't be the first time he fought someone who could have been a friend.
"Fuwa, what was Champa like?" this caught him off guard. "Well, from what I could understand. Champa was one of the strongest of the gods. Granted, he acted like a spoiled child sometimes, but he was capable of respect and admiration."
"Hmm," Hiccup looked back down at his reflection before concluding his own mind. Turning to look at him, "Fuwa, are you capable of teleporting us back to the sanctuary?" Now Fuwa was confused. "Uh, yes, I can. What exactly do you intend, my lord?" "I have one last thing left to do."
Hiccup and Fuwa teleported back to the sanctuary… or at least what's left of it. "My word, what happened here?" Hiccup had a sad expression on his face and could only look forward. "This is where Champa and I fought and where he died." Hiccup and Fuwa finally stopped at a deep creator that was currently Champas' final resting place. When Hiccup slid down next to him to finally get a good look at him.
Champa was a feline humanoid with the same attire Hiccup was wearing, only giving more credence to Hiccup that Champa had been replaced. 'This might be too good for you. But I won't let even a god die without showing some respect.' Hiccup picked up Champa and took him to the shoreline before finding an old ship Hiccup used to transport injured dragons and shipwrecked Vikings to safety. Hiccup set him down on the deck, placed his hands on his stomach, and slid his hand over Champa's face, closing his eyes before pushing the ship out to sea.
Hiccup and Fuwa stood on an ice ledge, waiting for the ship to get far enough out to sea. "Are you sure this is the right thing to do, Lord Hiccup?" Hiccup looked at Fuwa "Yes. As you said, he may have had his faults, but he was capable of admiration and respect. He may have killed my king and mentors, but he was still a god. Not even a god should pass without a proper burial." Fuwa was surprised but smiled. "Very well, my friend. Do what you think is best."
Hiccup smiled and turned back to the sea; he raised his hand and fired a plasma blast. The ship immediately became engulfed in flames filling the air with sweat and the bitter smell of wood and saltwater. As the vessel drifted further out, a beam of light broke through the clouds and landed on the ship. It looked like Champa rose to the sky. His spirit slowly rose from the fire and smoke, but it stopped and made its way two Fuwa and Hiccup. The ghost stopped a few feet away, looking at Hiccup before smirking. "Hmph not bad for a monkey."
From a reflective pool in the palace of Grand Zeno, Vados smiled at the scene before her. " Well, Vadose, I must say I'm surprised I guess you were right about this one." "Thank you, father. Do I have your permission to make him the new god of destruction?" The Grand Priest sighed. "Yes, you have my permission. It also seems like I have no choice seeing as Grand Zeno seems to have taken a liking to him. Seeing as he wants to learn how to train a dragon himself." Vadose smiled at hearing this. She had a hope Hiccup was a good candidate but seeing him give Champa a burial only proves her right.
"Now that it's over, may I go to him to begin his training, father?" The Grand Preast smiled at his daughter. "Yes, my daughter, you may go; good luck."
Vadose teleported to Fuwa's planet, where she found them both eating; well, Hiccup was eating. Fuwa looked like he had lost his appetite at seeing Hiccup devour the dishes in front of him. "How are you, my lord?" Hiccup looked up to see Vadose as poised as ever, swallowing a mouthful of roasted yak. "I'm good, Vados, thank you." "That's wonderful. Will you please follow me?"
Hiccup followed Vadose to a pond outside of Fuwas home. "What is it, Vadose? Is there something you need from me?" Vadose only continued to smile at Hiccup before reaching from behind her to give him something. "Wait, that's my mask." Vadose nodded. "Yes, I found it before I healed and took you to Grand Zeno; what do you think?" Hiccup admired the mask that was given to him by the defenders of the wing years ago. The mask really does look like the king of dragons. "I don't know what to say, Vadose; thank you."
"Don't mention it, my lord, but are you ready to begin your work as the new god of destruction for our universe?" Hiccup continued to look at the mask one more time. "Yes, Yes I am." Hiccup put it back on and looked at Vadose
"Well, my lord, welcome to godhood."
