Chapter one Inside The Box

Darkness. Stale, Dusty air. The Sound of Metal Grinding against Metal. She couldn't see around her. Her Senses were going insane. She was shaking uncontrollably and did not know how to stop. Suddenly there was a loud alarm and when she looked up, she saw red up ahead. The box sped up and when she thought that she would crash forward she was jerked forward when the box halted. There was a hissing sound and the red lid lifted and there was a bright light that nearly blinded her. She saw heads coming into view. Boys. She screamed and went and hid behind one of the crates that was behind her.

Three boys jumped down into the box.
"Hey greenie, whispered a voice. I looked around the box and my eyes went wide. Standing in front of her was the cutest boys she ever saw. At least that she could remember.
"Holy shuck, said the boy with blonde hair. "It's a girl!"
"Everything is going to be okay, said a dark-skinned boy with short-cropped hair and face clean-shaven. "Do you remember your name. Anything at all?"
She thought and thought and when she came up blank she started to whimper.
"I can't remember, why can't I remember, she whispered. She started to cry when she felt arms around her. All three had come to console her.
"It is going to be okay, said a boy with light brown hair and the greenest eyes she ever saw. "My name is Gally these two shanks are Alby and Newt. We all were like you. We came up in the box, no memory, nothing. But you will remember your name. It will come to you. It always does. Now how about we get you out of here. I'm sure the Gladers would love to meet their new sister."

She Nods and then hears some voices up top.

"A girl." "Wow, I wonder why they sent a girl" "She's Probably bloody Gorgeous,"

She smiles and lets out a giggle.

"Watch out Shanks, yelled Gally. "She Can hear you. And she likes what she hears apparently."

"Well get her up here shanks so we can see her, yelled a voice.

"Hold your horses Zart, yelled Gally. "Throw down the shucking rope."

Suddenly A rope is thrown down and it hit her on the head.

"Jesus guys yelled Newt. "Watch where you throw that you idiots. It hit the Greenie in the head."

All of a sudden, a name pops into her head. Shelby. Shelby. Shelby.

"SHELBY, she yells laughing. "My names Shelby. I Remember my name.'

Shelby wraps her hands around newts neck. When she pulls away, she does something that she didn't even think twice about. She plants a kiss right on his lips. She felt him tense for just a second before wrapping his arms around her waist kissing her back.

"Damn, you lucky shank, said Alby,

"What, yelled the boy they called Zart from above.

"She's Kissing Newt, yelled Alby.

"Damn it newt, he yelled. "Didn't even give us a chance you shank."

"Shelby don't do it, yelled a voice. "We Love You!

"Shut it Winston, yelled Alby. "She gets to choose who she kisses or doesn't kiss."

Shelby breaks apart from newt and when she looks up, she sees boys looking at her with awe.

"There's plenty of me to go around boys, yelled Shelby. "But if you so much as try and force yourself on me without asking ill chop your dicks off."

Shelby looks back at the three boys in the box with her.

"Okay, she said. "Get me the fuck out of this fucking box."

"LANGUAGE yelled a chorus of voices from inside and outside the box.

Shelby giggled. Alby takes the rope and wraps it around her waist. When he was done, he steps up close and whispered in her ear. "I'll be waiting patiently for my chance at a piece of you." This sends a shiver down her back. "Okay let her up now, yelled Alby. She feels the tug of the rope and she gets pulled up towards the bright lights.
