Chapter 8: Scream for me

Hinata blearily opened his eyes and found himself wrapped in the arms of his newly minted mate Kageyama. He was still asleep and possessively clutching the flame-haired omega. It all felt surreal but almost as if it were something he needed to do. His mind had been in a haze from the moment he let his lips crash into Kageyama's. Now he felt changed as if a locked door had been opened on his instincts. His focus seemed to remain on his mates but he knew once their bond was complete changes would arise. Hinata smiled softly and burrowed deeper into the embrace feeling so alive. It was strangely comforting knowing he belonged to someone, even if it was at first a little concerning to enjoy such thoughts. It was different sure but if he were, to be honest, he fell for Kageyama from the first moment he met the alpha. Despite the aggressive nature he had and the awkward cadence the alpha had when speaking with others, there was no doubt that Hinata wanted the alpha. It just took a while to admit that to himself.

It did lose some of its flair knowing he would not be pregnant with his mate's children. It was almost disconcerting for them to need everything put on hold but Hinata had dreams to accomplish and a life he didn't need to regret.

Time flashed by him in a blur till he was before Suga and Daichi's new home just as bit near the university the two would be attending. Asahi was working on his internship for a fashion program already and had left after the school year ended to pursue his own dream. Noya was going to be watched over still from their second bond pack that consisted of Suga, Daichi, and their older mates who were still attending university.

Nishinoya was not allowed to leave school living arrangements until he graduated, the omega had one year left. A knock at the door sounded and Daichi opened the door with plates of food handing them over to the omegas before kissing Suga openly and even giving an enthusiastic kiss to Noya. He eyed Hinata teasingly who flustered in embarrassment and got a hair ruffle instead of a kiss and it still warmed his beating heart.

It was nice and great to just gush about his mates to others who shared his perspective. It was a bond not even Yamaguchi could truly grasp. It was just nice to be open about it all, even though it was a bit embarrassing for them to admit.

Hinata's attention was drawn back to Suga and Noya who had changed the topic to the point of Hinata's upcoming date. Finally, Hinata let his own smirk color his lips. Why do you ask? Because he had the most spec-fucking-tacular outfit picked for the date.

When he showed Suga and Noya pictures of the outfit the giggles and squeals even drew a concerned Daichi to the room.

He too was shown the outfit and the hungry gaze in his eyes when aimed at Hinata made the redhead know the outfit was perfect.
