Rude awakening

When Cap wakes up, the feeling is familiar. A bruised face, numb limbs, pain... and the soft sounds of his best friend rummaging next to him. Taking care of his wounds. Or is he? "Wake up!", demands a rough voice. Steve blinks. Has trouble focusing. He feels that his hands are tied. Standing over him is Bucky, with a fierce expression on his face. And a knife in his hand. Steve's heart beats faster. As he tries to evaluate the situation, he realizes that his feet are also tied together with his belt. He's lying on his side on the hard forest floor.

Bucky's figure is eerily lit by a small fire. Steve's swollen eyes restlessly dart back and forth. And then he gasps as his former best friend kneels down beside him, the knife close to his face. He automatically flinches, and realizes his restraints are bound to a tree above him. He can hardly turn or move. He catches his friend's eyes again. He looks back with a mixture of wrath and wonder. Cap knows he has to be careful, then he might have a chance to reach him. He holds back from addressing him by name again at last second. He might get through this way, but if his confused memories startles Bucks, his aggression might turn back on him.

So instead he asks calmly: "Okay? What can I do for you?" A brief moment the Winter Soldier looks unsure, but then he demands firm: "I need more data on you! Tell me what I need to know, then I'll spare you!" Steve cautiously nods and slowly replies: "Okay, that sounds good. Ask away, I'll answer." "What's my mission?", the Winter Soldier wants to know. Cap takes a deep breath. He mustn't make a mistakes now, otherwise he's done for. He tries to sound convincing when he explains: "I don't know about your mission, I didn't give you the order." For a moment his friend looks impassively. Then he smacks him across the face, startling him, and hisses: "You're lying!" Steve tries to remain calm, but the Winter Soldier warns him: "If you won't tell me what I want to know, I will torture you!"

Cap tries another approach: "Okay, okay, but I can only tell you, what I know, and I know that you don't want this! I know, NO LISTEN TO ME!", he pleads, as his opponent is closing in with the knife again, "Hydra gave you the mission, but you don't belong to them, you fought them! Your name is Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, you were born in 1917, we grew up together, I'm your best friend..." He got talking faster and faster, noticing the conflict behind his buddy's eyes, but the Soldier grabs his throat with his metal arm and scoffs: "I don't care for your lies, I want my mission...", but now Cap interrupts him, gasping: "You've seen me lying, I'm telling the truth!" But the Winter Soldier turns away and continues to squeeze.

Steve gets scared and tries to struggle free, but gets beaten and yelled at: "What are you hiding from me?" "Nothing! I have nothing to hide, please believe me Bucky!", Steve pleads, but the Winter Soldier growls at him, and begins to pat him down. In one of the small, covered pockets of his uniform he finds two packs of ketchup. He stares at them stupefied, and Steve is also puzzled at first, until he remembers how him, Falcon and Widow quickly got a bite to eat on their way.

They just went to the nearest fast food place and took something to go. There was too much ketchup sauce, and Steve, who had been brought up not to be wasteful, had simply pocketed the sachets instead of throwing them away. He had completely forgotten that he still had them on him. His old comrade stares at the red plastic bags and gets a strange look that Steve can't interpret. Then he starts to mumbles: "Blood is fine... blood will do, if we have nothing else... if we need to punish you..."

A shiver runs down Cap's spine, he tries to stammer: "Why, it's just ketch...", but the Winter Soldier covers his mouth with his metal hand. He squeezes a bit too rough, making Steve bite his lip and hurt. Cap's tormentor looks him in the eye and growls: "Don't scream. You'll scream soon enough." Steve stares back dumbfounded, and remains silent at first when Bucky takes his hand away again, but when his captor suddenly pulls down his pants, he squeaks in shock: "Hey! What are you doing?"

Bucks flips him onto his stomach, goes to sit on his legs, and starts spanking him. Steve flinches at first, and it's not pleasant, but the pain is bearable. He's had to endure worse things back in school. So bewildered, he squeals in between beatings: "Why are you doing that? Why, jiek, are you spanking me?", and he tries to turn around as much as possible. The Winter Soldier rests his hand on Steve's bottom, and grins at him. Cap smiles back uncertain, hoping it may be just a stupid prank, and that his buddy remembers him. But when the other whispers suggestively: "I have to punish you for being naughty!", Steve's smile fades and realization sets in.

Slowly, and he doesn't want to believe it, but an evil thought creeps into his skull and makes him tremble. The Winter Soldier raises his metal hand, holding the knife and ketchup, and murmurs again: "Blood is good... Blood will do if we have to punish you..." "No please!", Steve yells alarmed, but Bucks just takes the blade to cut open the packets. Then he casually throws it forward, where it gets stuck in the tree just above Cap's shackles. He stares back and forth between Bucks and the knife, utterly confused. And then shrieks as he feels the Winter Soldier spreading the ketchup on his butt.

It's gross and makes him feel sick, dirty and ashamed. And he's frightened. Very frightened of the thought forming louder and clearer in his head. An idea. A bad memory. Stories he heard. He feels his eyes water. Turns to look at the man sitting on his legs, touching him this way. Who now opens his pants with his ketchup-smeared hand. "Oh God no!", Steve cries out and starts to beg: "Bucky, no, don't do this, please! Please, you're not like that, you can't do that, you wouldn't!" 'At least not when you're in your right mind.', he suddenly thinks, and feels like something is suffocating him.

In the dim glow of the fire the ketchup looks like blood on the metal arm. A sight Steve recognizes. He wants to suppress it, feels how he is standing close to an abyss from which there will be no escape. He tries to wriggle as his tormentor leans down, but his steel fist presses him into the forest floor, causing him to gasp helpless: "No please... please Bucky, don't! No!" Then the Winter Soldier lies flat on top of him, clamps his metal hand over his mouth, making him taste the ketchup sauce, and whispers with dark malice: "If you struggle, it's just more fun for us! So fight back as much as you can!" Then he penetrates him with one thrust.
