It was yet another beautiful day at Third Street School, though for some kids, it was rather a bit of a boring day.
"Ugh, this whomps! There's nothing to do around here!" Spinelli said as she kicked some dirt.
"I don't think I've ever been this bored!" Vince said.
"Yo LaSalle! One V One me on the basketball court! Loser has to do something embarrassing after!" Lawson said. "Be back guys, I got someone's butt to whoop!" Vince said as he cracked his neck.
"Well at least someone gets to have fun around here" Spinelli said, disappointed. "Hey girly."
"Excuse me guys, but I have to pound some sense into this idiot. COME HERE YOU!" Spinelli chased after the kid who called her "girly".
"That's our Spinelli!" TJ said. "Kind of surprising how he didn't know not to call her the G word." Gus said.
"It's playground rules one-o-one technically. Never call a tomboy 'girly' or such feminine names like that." Gretchen added.
"Hey Gretchen!" Hank the janitor came up towards the group. "I got a few extra hard math problems that might actually challenge you, wanna give it a try?" Hank asked.
"If you shall excuse me guys, I have something fun to do now." Gretchen went with Hank.
"You know Gretch, nothing will stop her from solving a math problem!" TJ said.
"Hey Gus, I was wondering if you could help me out with something?" Cornchip Girl asked. "See you later guys, Cornchip needs my help."
"I've always wondered whether there's something between the two." Mikey said. "You know Mikey, I really wonder whether there is or what." TJ shrugged.
"Yo Plumpburger, I got some rice krispies for ya! Also, I got some sodas from the vending machines." Kurst said as she soon walked up to Mikey. "Sorry TJ, but I think I should check this out."
"It's fine Mikey, you can go." TJ smiled at his friend. Mikey smiled back.
Now, it was just TJ, all alone with pretty much nothing to do. "Man this whomps! When am I gonna get to do something fun?" TJ complained.
Over with Ashley A, she was bored out of her skull. Her three other friends didn't show up for school today, which was extremely rare for them.
"Ugh, great. Ditch me today huh, today?! What am I supposed to even do right now? And without them, I can't imagine the kind of sick pranks Detweiler and his friends would do! Ugh.. the fashion Gods must be testing me." Ashley A complained.
She got out of the Ashley clubhouse, and saw that TJ was also alone.
"Huh, now this day just got weirder."
"GET THE HECK OVER HERE YOU RAT!" Spinelli raced in front of Ashley, still chasing the kid. "And by weirder, I mean more or less normal weird." Ashley A lowered her eyelids.
"Should I go talk to Detweiler or what?" Ashley A thought.
She only sighed as she headed towards TJ.
"Hello Detweiler." Ashley A said as she gave a small smile. "Uh, Hey Ashley. Why are you here? Do you need something or what?" TJ seemed rather confused.
"Oh well, I saw that you were lonely and well, I figured why not go up to you, since I basically have nobody too." She replied.
"Wait, are you saying the other Ashleys didn't show up?" TJ sounded surprised. "Yup."
"Well a kid could always use some company so I guess.. why not." TJ shrugged.
Later, the two were in the Ashley clubhouse so no one could see the two together, or they'd get the wrong idea.
"I've seen this place before but, not exactly of my taste y'know."
"Well of course, we're both obviously different." Ashley A replied. "Yeah that's true." TJ replied.
"Hey what's this?" TJ saw a random jewel lying on the ground. "That! This is something rather private of mine alright?" Ashley A snatched the jewel from his hand. "Could've just said so you know.."
Meanwhile, Spinelli dusted off her hands after she finally caught the kid who called her the G word.
"That 'oughta teach him! Now- wait where's Teej? And where are the others?" Spinelli then looked around.
Lawson came out of the boys room as his pants were wet, making him look like he wet himself. "Hey! Lawson wet himself!" A kid yelled as the others started laughing.
"I'll get you for this LaSalle!" Lawson growled at Vince who was laughing.
"Typical. Now where are the others?"
Gus came back with Cornchip Girl, as he came from helping her with part of the homework from yesterday. Mikey also came back after drinking the soda and eating the rice krispies.
"There are those three, now where's Gretch? Eh, probably doing some hard math problems." Spinelli said.
Surely enough, Gretchen came out after doing an extensive few math problems.
"How'd I guess.. but where's Teej?"
"Ok ok, so, why do people tell actors to break a leg?"
"Mmmm, actually I have no idea." Ashley A replied. "Because every play has a cast!" TJ finished his joke.
Ashley A bursted into laughter. "Ok that was actually a good one! I always knew you were funny, but that was really funny!"
"Oh yeah, do you find this funny?" TJ then started to tickle her, making her laugh even more.
"Yo, you guys. Any of you seen TJ? I don't see him anywhere." Spinelli said as she approached her friends.
"I think we were all busy to even know he was gone." Gretchen said. "Well it's not like he could've gone anywhere else either. He has to be around here somewhere." Vince said.
As the five of them were looking for their friend, TJ was having rather a fun time with Ashley A, despite their rivalry from time to time.
Ashley A soon composed herself shortly after Teej stopped tickling her. "Y'know Detweiler, I never knew you could be this fun! I don't even know why we even have our little feud from time to time."
"Like always, I'm the fun guy!" TJ replied.
"So uh TJ, I wanna ask something, you're free to say no but.. Do you.. wanna go to Kelso's after school?" Ashley A asked nervously. TJ was rather surprised. "Well uh, I guess why not. After all, you're not such a bad girl to hang out with!" TJ replied with a smile.
"Alright great!"
Later, TJ exited the Ashley clubhouse as he soon met up with his friends.
"There you are! Had us worried for a minute there! Where you've been?" Spinelli asked
"Oh I was just hanging out with someone special.." TJ answered, leaving his friends confused.
Little did Ashley A and TJ know, it'd be the start of something wild.
And that'll do it for this first chapter! See you in the next!
