4 thousand years ago a group of people thought that they are too good to be human, and so they called themselves the orokin. The old orokin view everything that isn't orokin as inferior. The old orokin then made a substance called kuva, it makes the user ageless and able to transfer their consciousness to other people if certain conditions are met. They also made the two factions, the grineer for hard labor, and the corpus for finances. Then they realized that the solar system doesn't give enough resources anymore, so they decided to expand. They found a new solar system, they called it the tau system. And so they sent a colony ship called the zariman ten zero, it's complete with the latest tech that can adapt independently.
The jump to the tau system didn't end well. Someone sabotaged the environmental systems and it completely threw the zariman off course. Everyone on the ship became mad, twisted by the void. Everyone But the children, somehow, someway, made a deal with the void. The exact details of this deal are still unknown, but it gave the children great powers. And thus, the Tenno are born. While everyone including the adaptive tech is corrupted by the void, the children banded together. And after a couple of months, the zariman miraculously came back from the void and it also brought the Tenno children.
The orokins hated the Tenno, they called them "void demons" and then a couple of years after that the adaptive technology that are on board the ship became sentient and attacked the orokins in the solar system, this event is called the old war. The orokins are losing because every piece of technology thrown at sentients is easily nullified and turned against them. So they had to resort to more biological weapons. Warframes, the first models of these Warframes are warriors infected by a special breed of the infestation called the helminth. It didn't turn out well because they turn insane because of the infestation. But then the orokins saw that the Tenno can somehow someway subdue the infestation madness.
The Warframe, the body, the Tenno, the soul. It was a miracle, and the orokins won the war with the sentients. But just because they won doesn't mean they are safe. Because one Archimedean of the orokin took care of the Tenno children, she saw them as her children. And yet the orokins saw this as a traitorous act and killed her with the jade light. An execution weapon that can kill even the immortal orokins.
The Tenno were mad, their adoptive mother died at the hands of the orokin. So when they won the war with the sentients, the Tenno gathered the orokins on the same spot and killed them using an experimental handheld jade light. The Tenno betrayal benefited the solar system, the grineer slaves made an empire, and the corpus became an interplanetary corporation. and the Tenno took the orokin name and claim it as theirs and built an empire with it, and thus the new orokins are born.
Lead by the first king Excalibur prime, they destroyed earth because it has been too polluted and from the depths of the void they pulled a new planet similar to earth, the three factions made an agreement to conceal the three factions from the new earth's population and let the new earth progress with little orokin influence. And the first king also made an elite squad, he called them "bishamo" as a tribute for the late dax soldiers that died in the war. With the bishamo created Excalibur prime bestowed upon them the incarnon weapons, ceremony weapons corrupted by the void and with it a new power emerges. All was well until...
Manhattan, 20:00, the year 2137
Artyom woke up in the streets of new york city. he looks around, confused and hungover, his golden hair flailing through the air. so he wondered the neon streets until he found something to do. He looks around and saw some vulgar ads and he wondered who would fall for those corporate bait. He got bored and he decided to head into Homebase Lua. After a brief call with onkko he gets permission to extract, and a parallax ship was dispatched to get him, he then headed to a discreet location as the parallax engages its cloaking mechanism, he gets inside the ship and he travelled to Homebase Lua
At Homebase Lua he was greeted with a nyx warfarme to cure his hangover, the nyx warframe then inform him that his presence is requested by the king, artyom thanked the nyx and traveled to the castle, a giant castle of gold and full of life on top of the cold, lifeless, grey surface of lua, he steps into the castle and bowed before the king.
"Bishamo vauban, at your service, your majesty"
"Ah, baruuk, great timing, I have something to discuss with you, Follow me". As Artyom followed the golden king, he wondered what made his king uneasy
"Gauss, god damn it how many times do I have to tell you to call me vauban"
"And how many times do I have to tell you to call me Atlas?"
"Oh... Forgot about that"
*Sigh* "anyway, I have some terrible news, it's time I talk to you about void rot"
"Void rot?"
"Yeah, it's a disease of some sort, it already existed since 2 thousand years ago. But it's a disease that weakens our connection with the void and that's also the reason why a Tenno nowadays are limited to using 3 or 4 frames"
"And why did you bring me here? Why didn't you bring a limbo?"
"I talked to my butler Charles, he's a limbo and he already gave me some insight and he told me I should talk to someone who specializes in chemistry and biology because he told me it has so something to do with the void and how it interacts with the human body, and I look for you because-"
"I have lavos yeah, let's cut to the chase, how bad is it?"
"Last generation, generation 57, only has 30 people out of 213 that can only wield 2 warframes. our generation, has 60 out of 200. Generation 59, the ones we're teaching right now has 150 out of 250."
"By the unum, we might not survive until generation 60"
"Yeah, so what do you think?"
"I need to research this further, we must prevent extinction"
"Agreed, but I have more news."
"Ugh, what now?"
"A new Warframe has been discovered, or maybe... Rediscovered. A protea Warframe was fighting the corpus when an unidentified railjack interfered and strangely, the ship captain knew this railjack, so the protea was given out orders to search the files of this railjack and what she found was that this strange railjack was missing since the old war"
"OLD WAR? Are you sure the files aren't fake?"
"Oh, I know it's not fake, because the protea then boarded the railjack and what she found was a warframe, it was called sevagoth. The Warframe spoke and wished for death, and the protea then granted the Warframe's last wish. but what happens next surprised me, you see... She took control of the sevagoth Warframe, and she became the first female Tenno that uses a male Warframe since a thousand years ago"
"Unbelievable, first voidrot and now an old warframe rediscovered"
"And I'm promoting her to a bishamo"
"YOU WHAT? Is this why you brought me here? To tell me a new bishamo is going to get recruited and I need to train her?"
"Uhm... Not really, the railjack was coated in void energy and those void energy opened a rift in time and space and I need you and a limbo to fix it"
*Sigh* "alright, I'll get ready, and I'm taking sevagoth with me, she's the one that started this mess and also a trial for her to get an incarnon weapon"
"Of course, she's in district 12 floor 5"
"Thanks"
And artyom left and heads into the elevator. As he descends lower into Lua's core he wondered what sevagoth would look like, as he wanders the district, he decided to take a break and go sightseeing, the white Walls, the golden decorations, and the twinkle of ayatans certainly amuse him, and it also amuses the guest beside him
"I take it you're bishamo vauban?"
"And you must be bishamo sevagoth"
The woman behind Sevagoth is quite the beauty, she has short hair as beautiful as snow, with a fierce look in her eyes, certainly not as fierce and crazy as one of his colleagues Garuda prime, but fierce nonetheless, and her winter-themed outfit certainly fits her
"May I ask why you're here?"
"Oh I'm here to pick you up for a mission, that strange railjack you encountered carries a lot of void energy and it made a rift in time and space and we're tasked to guard it till a limbo made it with the appropriate equipment to close it. nice scarf by the way where did you ge-"
"That's shadow don't touch it, and the name of the railjack is tempastarii "
"Shadow?"
"My Warframe power, I can summon him and help us in battle"
"God damn what a creative name, get ready cause we're leaving in an hour"
"Affirmative sir"
An hour has gone by and both tenno are departing with their liset landing craft. As they traveled to space, sevagoth wondered, why is it such a big deal? Void storms usually happen and they seem to not care. So she asks her senior
"Sir, forgive me for asking, but... Why are we doing this? Usually, missions like these are optional, but why did the king directly order us?"
"Ah, you see sev, the rift appeared right on the surface of the earth, that in itself is a problem, but the thing that worries the higher-ups is that it's a rift, a portal, not a storm. anything can come out of that rift, worst case scenario a meteorite will fall unto earth and nyxes will have a hard time doing damage control on the masses on earth"
"I see, what's the difference between a rift and a storm sir?"
"Storms are void energy getting out of control from something like slowing down after light speed traveling, and rifts are a gateway to other places in the universe"
"what do you think will come out of that rift sir?"
"Nothing, except the occasional meteorites like I said earlier. Listen, we just gotta wait for the limbo, don't worry about it"
Canada, 22:27, the year 2137, local supermarket
Our heroes emerge from the gates of heaven known as a supermarket, hands full, plastic bags galore, and destroying a donut in their mouths
"no signs of activities?"
"No sir, the coast is clear and no civilians on site, damn this is some good donut"
"Alright let's get to the car, don't want to arouse suspicions with a space ship"
And so our heroes walk towards their noble steed, hands full of treasures like a pirate after a good plundering when suddenly
*Beep beep beep*
"uh oh, sir, activity on the rift"
"WHAT? Is it the rift itself or something outside the rift?"
"ITS THE RIFT SIR"
"LISET. NOW!"
They rushed towards the woods with their liset, their device beeping loudly as they approach, but alas, they were too late. the device stopped beeping which means something, or someone emerged from the rift
"I didn't hear any explosions, how about you sev?"
"Nothing on my end, maybe it's a false alarm?"
"Either way, we still need to investigate, let's walk there, the trees are making it hard to see in the liset"
Our heroes, worried and nervous, steadily approaches the site. Best case scenario it's a false alarm, worst case scenario it's a meteorite, but what they found there surprised both of them
"What the hell is that?"
"What do you mean si-"
"Sshhhhhh, keep it quiet, look."
"Humans?"
"Not exactly, look at their heads and rear"
What they found were 12 humanoid creatures with horns, tails and ears of an animal. Are they hostile? Friendly? They don't know what to do, so they report it to Homebase Lua.
"Onkko, onkko, come in, it's an emergency"
"Quill onkko primary, how can I help you today tenno?"
"We encountered a problem, connect us to queen valkyr prime and king Atlas prime"
"Affirmative"
...
"Valkyr here, what's the problem vauban?"
"Uh yeah, there's a situation at the rift that we're supposed to guard, something came out of it, not a meteorite but humanoids, they look human, and yet they have features a human shouldn't have"
"What do you mean?"
"Some have horns, some have tails, some have horns AND tails, some have cat ears, and what looks to be... Horse ears"
"vauban, please do NOT waste my time on jok-"
"With all due respect ma'am, I am not joking, I'll send you the picture"
And so artyom sent a picture of the aliens, 6 males, 6 females, all of them have exotic features
"By the unum, what is that?"
"We don't know ma'am, but I was hoping for an order on what to do now ma'am"
"Alright, vauban and sevagoth, you will wait for the limbo to come and you shall find out if they are an enemy or an ally, prioritize friendly approach"
"Affirmative ma'am"
*Connection closed*
"I think one of them saw me"-sevagoth
"YEP, THEY SAW YOU, MOVE. I'll take the 6 on the right, and you take the 6 on the left"
Our heroes are spotted, and our golden train vauban threw a tether coil and it brought 6 enemies to him, looks like his enemies are a man with a horn on his head, a man with a messed up white tuxedo and messy hair, a man who dual wields an antenna and a sword, a man with a rhinoceros beetle inspired armor, a blonde woman with a hammer as a weapon, and beside her is a woman with a huge chainsaw. not great odds for artyom
And Sevagoth isn't too lucky either, because she's facing a medic that summons a monster from her spine, a knight woman that looks like she has horse ears, a woman dressed in black and red that carries explosives, a woman with horns that carries a shield, man with snow leopard's ears and tail and a man dressed in red and uses a plier and wrench as a weapon
"Let's talk this out, like civilized men"-artyom said calmly
But they got off on bad terms as the bettle man lunges at him with his hammer, artyom dodges and hits him with a photon strike but the man didn't budge, like a immovable object. So artyom must hit him with an unstoppable force as he swaps his vauban Warframe into baruuk as the blonde woman and the chainsaw woman tries to hit him with a fearsome hammer and saw but our hero casted elude and the hammer and saw just phased through him, the man with the tuxedo launched a projectile towards him and elude negates it, his restraint meter is dwindling and then the one with the antenna put his antenna in the air and it slows our hero down and that made an opening which the horned dude exploits by hitting his head with his sword, and because elude only covers the body he took the hit straight on, his shield and restraint is dwindling fast as he is hit multiple times with a sword, 50%, 30%, 10%, 0%, his shields are down, and so does his restraint meter, and so he casts serene storm and with the power of the wind he kicks the ground and lifts his enemies into the air as he punches the one with antenna till he's knocked out cold, he then saw the chainsaw lady swinging her chainsaw at him and he destroys it with his punch
Meanwhile, sevagoth is having a hard time taking care of her share of enemies, a black and green monster that is as strong as shadow, a constant blinding light from the knight, the explosives and the wind that is as sharp as a razor blade from the leopard man is giving her a hard time, but the sound of a chainsaw being broken to pieces certainly brought the fight to a hold
feeling that artyom has done enough, he picks up the unconscious antenna man and brought him to his enemies and he states
"We are not enemies. no more violence. We surrender" as he puts his hand in the air. And sevagoth seems to be in disbelief, why is he surrendering? They hit the tenno first, but artyom's hand gesture said that she should trust him, and so she did. She put her hand in the air, and the other group also surrenders.
"Good, it seems we have a mutual agreement, here's antenna boy". And artyom passed him to the one with bettle armor, and artyom then apologized for breaking the chainsaw. Then the medic with the monster spoke
"We apologize for suddenly attacking, we thought that you were hostile"
"And we apologize for hitting antenna boy, speaking of him, is he alright?"
The one with horns and shield spoke "operator Elysium is fine, I have Rhine lab approved medical equipment"
"Rhine lab? Oh right where are my manners, I am vauban, bishamo of generation 58 of the orokin race, and this is sevagoth, also a bishamo, a pleasure to meet you"
The medic spoke "my name is kal'tsit, pleasure to meet you too, vauban. And if I were to ask, where are we?"
"We are currently on Canada, planet Earth, and while we're at it I suppose I should break the news. You are not on your home planet right now, the rift behind you is the cause of that, I suppose you can go back through the rift"
"I wouldn't suggest that tenno"-a Warframe with a tophat said from the bushes
"AH LIMBO, where have you been?"
"Busy theorizing on how I should close the rift"
"What do you mean they shouldn't travel through the rift?"
"If I were to explain it, it'd be like fighting a current in a river, and that river has a timer. if that timer runs out, you'll be floating in space, with everyone not knowing where you are, and your death will be gruesome"
"Is there any other way of getting to our original world?"-kal'tsit
"Unfortunately, no, for now at least. And we'll escort you to Homebase Lua. We can't arouse suspicions because of... Your ears"
"HEY, WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR EARS?!" the one with the broken chainsaw asked
"Well, we don't have that on this planet, and signs of extraterrestrial life will disturb the peace of this world, so we must bring you to Homebase Lua" artyom states
"HEY, WE AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE WITH You-" as she said that she immediately collapsed to the ground and that made the other members of their group panic, is she dying? artyom thought
"HEY YOU TIN SUIT HELP US OUT HERE, SHE'S DYING, HER DEFIBRILLATORS ARE MALFUNCTIONING"-the horned female shouted, and the tenno transport them all to a liset while limbo stayed behind to close the rift. It was a dash towards Lua, and when they arrived a Trinity kept her alive, Trinity said her so called "defibrillators" malfunctioned from the rift teleportation.
"You all should stay here in the medical ward, keeping an eye out on your friend" artyom said
"Elite Operator blaze"
"You shouldn't move much miss blaze, your heart is in a bad state"
"Hey uh... Vauban? Sorry for earlier"
"Don't worry about it. now offworlders, please rest up, tomorrow we must present you to our king and queen and show them that you aren't hostile. Hey you, the mirage with blue and white colors, help out our guests settle down please, I'm going to report the situation to queen valkyr, let's go sevagoth."
The mirage nodded and artyom and sevagoth now travel to the golden castle once more.
After visiting the medical ward both tennoare heading into the castle, opening the golden doors both Tenno are greeted by the rest of the bishamo, grendel, and Garuda.
"Ah, my main man vauban. How's the mission?" Grendel asked, "ooh ooh, how much blood was shed?" The redhead Garuda asked "It's complicated grendel. and no, no one got killed. is valkyr here?"
"You're looking for us vauban?" The golden royalty asked as they emerge from another room
"Ah, hey there your majesty, we're here to report about the... Situation" artyom nervously states. "I heard from my wife that extraterrestrial life emerged from the rift?" Atlas prime asked.
"Correct sir, we have identified them as non-hostile. They're all in the medical ward because one of the members collapsed and the rest is keeping an eye on the collapsed member" artyom reports. "Excellent job vauban, anything else?" Valkyr asked.
"Yes ma'am, as I said earlier in the call with your majesty, the offworlders have unique features on their body, 6 females and 6 males, 4 have been identified with cat ears, 3 females and 1 male. 3 of them have horns, 2 females and 1 male. and then 1 female with horse ears and tails, 1 male seems to be the same as us humans, 1 male has fox features, 1 male with what seems to be bird features, and the last one is a male with a rhinoceros beetle inspired armor"
"Ohohoho, I would like to fight with this rhinoceros beetle man" Atlas states
"I don't know if he will accept it, but tomorrow we'll present them to you, your highness. Oh and I almost forgot, sevagoth has passed her test and is ready to receive her incarnon weapon"
"Well, that's great news. STYANAXES, BRING ME THE INCARNON CAULDRON!" Atlas prime shouts and soon the guards brought a cauldron with void energy inside of it, sevagoth is intrigued, a weapon as strong as her shadow perhaps? The guards then brought the cauldron to sevagoth and she sank her hands into the cauldron, and what she grabbed was quite the weapon. A void touched shotgun, sevagoth is ecstatic
"And Infinite possibilities fall away as this declaration codifies itself into a single, clear, path. Name it." Atlas state
"Felarx"
"A name whispered by the universe itself"
Sevagoth bowed as thanks and faced her seniors
"Would you look at that, my OTHER signature weapon other than the epitaph, what's yours?"
"Oh me? I have this pistol, I named it the laetum" as vauban proudly displays his pride and joy pistol. "I have this rifle that can turn into a Minigun, it's called phenmor" grendel states as the beauty of the phenmor blinds her eyes. "And I have these tonfas, look at it, bask in its beauty, my one, and only praedos," says Garuda as she creepily describes how many limbs praedos has cut and explains how easily the human life can be ended
"Alright, now that we're done here, I should go to sleep, I'm very tired. You coming sev?" Artyom offers
"You can go first, I want to try this weapon first", and so they both go separate ways, artyom proceeds to his room in district 2 floor 3, it has all the basics, black wallpaper, golden decorations, and ayatans sprinkled around the room to fill the room with life, he slept soundly and the day has ended
Artyom wakes up from his sleep and is woken up by grendel, he's artyom's neighbor and he's here to remind him that he must accompany the offworlders to the royalty. Artyom, VERY displeased, woke up and chose violence, he kicks grendel outdoors and told him to shut up, but artyom eventually comes out with clear anger in his eyes, but a job is a job, so he and grendel traveled to the higher floors, and they both part ways with grendel stopping at a burger shop and artyom goes to the medical ward.
He arrived at the medical ward and opened the door, what he found was quite the surprise. It turns out that the man with the beetle armor... Is a woman.
"Wait... What?" Artyom said with confusion in his eyes, "Ah, you must be... Vauban? Anything I can help you with?" The girl said.
"Hm, this will be a problem, I told the king and queen that you are a male, hmmm I can just tell them I made a blunder and thought that you were a male, no biggie. Anyways, where is everyone?"
"Everyone is in the hot spring, one of the staff told us that we need to clean ourselves" the girl answers
"Oh where are my manners, I am operator Mudrock, former reunion leader now Rhodes Island operator" the girl known as Mudrock says
"Bishamo vauban, it's a pleasure. By the way, why are you here? Didn't you say that the rest are bathing?"
"Oh I already finished cleaning myself, the temperature is too hot for me so I didn't stay there for very long"
"Alright, we'll go get them, we only have one hour to prepare before the big event", artyom said with stressed eyes
And so they both go to the artificial hot spring located near them, once they arrived artyom told Mudrock to tell the ladies to hurry up and he will tell the males in their group to hurry up too
"I apologize for ruining your moment but we need to hurry because we only have an hour to prepare," artyom said, and surprisingly they all oblige and all the offworlders are changing their clothes in the medical ward
"Vauban, forgive me for asking but what do we need to do in this event?" Kal'tsit said. "Oh we just need to walk towards the castle and when you arrive at the throne room you will bow, state your names, and tell the royalty that you aren't hostile, and that's it. So presentation is key here AND IM TALKING TO YOU TUXEDO MAN!" Artyom said
"Me?" The one with a white tuxedo and messy hair said
"Yes you, fix your hair and tuxedo Mr..."
"Thorns, operator thorns of Rhodes Island" the man called thorns said. "Yes, if you don't want to fix your hair just tidy your tuxedo"
"vauban, time's up, let's go we don't want to keep the king and queen waiting," a stayanax said right outside the medical ward
And so the offworlders are headed off into the golden castle, and all Tenno are watching either through their monitors, or personally watching outside of the golden castle. They opened the golden doors and they are greeted by rows and rows of stayanaxes, to sort of threaten the offworlders in case they do anything funny. Artyom and the rest of the group bowed and artyom was first to speak
"Your majesty, I am bishamo vauban prime, today we are gathered here because of an anomaly. But first I must correct myself, it seems I have made a blunder in my report, it turns out that the one in armor is not a male, but a female. And I apologize for this mistake"
"Apology accepted vauban prime, but you will not make this mistake again. Do I make myself clear?" valkyr prime said while activating her exalted claws
"Yes your majesty, I will not make this mistake again. Without further ado, RHODES ISLAND, STATE. YOUR. NAME." artyom shouts
Kal'tsit was the one that stood up first, "My name is kal'tsit, I am the leader of the group, I apologize for the trouble my group made for your kingdom".
Blaze was next to stand up "I am elite Operator blaze of Rhodes Island, and I bear no harm towards this kingdom".
The horned guy was next "I am an operator of Rhodes Island codename flamebringer".
"I am operator saria, a former scientist and battle medic from Rhine labs," the one with the horn and shield said.
"My name is Verna, callsign siege of Rhodes Island," the one with thick hair said.
"I am enciodes silverash, leader of the karlan trade company" the snow leopard man proudly states.
"Operator thorns of Iberia, at your service" thorns said.
"Chiave, leader of chiave gang, I do hope that we get along," the red one with pliers and wrench said.
"My name is W. I am a mercenary from babel, a pleasure to meet you," the one dressed in black and red said
"The radiant knight, Margaret nearl, at your service." the knight girl said as a blinding light emits from her
"Hello, I am Elysium, I specialize in recon, hope we get along." Antenna boy known as Elysium said with a smile
Mudrock is the last, so she gets up and takes off her armor, revealing the horned beauty to all Tenno "And I will be the last, you may call me Mudrock, I am a former reunion leader now Rhodes Island operator". The audience was in awe, how can a small girl fit into that bulky armor? And why are there rocks on the skin on almost every single one of them? King Atlas prime decided to question that
"Now that you all have introduced yourself, I have a question. Why are there rocks on the surface of your skin?". And immediately the group tensed up, it seems to be a sensitive topic. But kal'tsit decided to reveal it
"That... Is a disease from our world"
"DISEASE?" The king shouted, and all stayanaxes began to surround them, with artyom soon follow.
"Argh, why didn't I think about that? I forgot about potential diseases from their world, I'm sorry Rhodes Island. But an unknown disease is a great threat to earth". He states and Rhodes Island can't do anything, it's already hard to defeat one tenno, but now there's a whole planet of them, they have no choice but to surrender. And so they did.
Author notes: this story was made before the veilbreaker update in warframe. I am very new to writing and english isn't my native language so please be constructive with the criticisms. i'll try to improve my skills as i progress. i myself think that the pacing is a little bit too fast, but i'll let you guys think. and yes i did change a few things from the original lore of warframe and arknights, that was intentional.
