The sounds of seagulls could be heard as they flew overhead. The sun that was in the sky continued to shine down. The birds flew over palm trees; two figures lay on the ground below them. Neither moved for a few moments as the pink-haired one began to stir.
"Ow, my head," said Pinkie as she lifted her head. Her vision was blurry as she was slowly regaining consciousness.
"Did anybody catch the license plate of that storm?" asked Sonata as she sat up with her head spinning. She shook her head as the former siren now looked at her surroundings. "What happened? Where are we?"
"I'm not sure," said Pinkie as she, too, was looking at her surroundings.
The duo noticed the storm was gone, but most importantly, they survived and were alive. They all got up and ran amok as they let out cheers.
"Well, we're alive. That's good," said Sonata.
"I guess, but where are we?" asked the party girl as she viewed her surroundings once more.
"Not sure," replied the former siren.
The pair noticed a two-way radio on the ground a few meters away. They grabbed it and tried to use it to call for help but found it damaged.
"Radio's not working," said Pinkie.
"Doesn't seem like our phones are either," stated Sonata as she could see her phone was dead, and even if it wasn't, she doubted they got some kind of signal.
"We should probably inspect the ship to see if we can sail off this island," informed the party girl.
"Right," responded Sonata.
The two girls got up and began to make their way to where the ship was. The yacht was shipwrecked as it was leaning against some rocks. There was a hole in the middle as it seemed to have been damaged during the storm. The girls noticed some stuff floating along the shoreline as they began to pick them up. Once they got all the stuff in the water, they began to make their way to the ship as they searched inside for anything that might be useful.
"Well, the engine is a mess, and that hole will ensure we can't sail home," stated Sonata.
"Then we'll have to come up with a Plan B!" responded Pinkie.
"Yeah. The good news is we don't have to worry about supplies. Those jerks might've been con artists, but they stocked this yacht pretty well. We got plenty of food and medical supplies." replied the former siren.
"And I packed plenty of extra clothing," smiled Pinkie. Pinkie poured out her clothes when her Plush Pet Gummy fell to her surprise. "Gummy! That's where you've been, you silly gater!"
Pinkie picked up her plushie and began to hug it. The girl wondered where her pet had ventured off to as he wasn't there for the party she threw on the yacht.
"Who's this little guy?" asked Sonata.
"This is Gummy, my pet gator."
"It's a plushie, though?"
"So?" said the party girl.
"Nothing," Sonata was checking her spare clothes when she found a large whale plush with a poorly-made Jolly Roger on the front, "Laboon! How'd you get in there?!"
"And who's that?" asked Pinkie.
"I'm a huge One Piece fan. This is my plush, Laboon the Whale," said Sonata as she showed her plushie to the girl.
"Say hello, gummy!"
"Hello!" said Pinkie in a deep voice as she waved the plushie's feet.
"In all seriousness, we have food, clothes, and other supplies. What should we do?" asked the former siren as she held her plushie.
"Normally I say we throw a party, but you're right, this is serious. If I remember anything from Twilight's twilight-ing, she says when in doubt, find out where you are. So why don't we explore the island and see if we can see anything that might get us home?" said Pinkie.
"Okay. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll find an island resort or a town. Some way we can get home," responded Sonata.
The two girls began their journey as they pushed through some bushes and began to explore. They traveled a bit as they got a good lay of the island. Some birds were flying about as they gave some caws. As they continued their crusade, the teens had to avoid obstacles, such as a quicksand pit. After exploring for an hour or so, the pair were shown sitting on some rocks as they had to catch their breath.
"Okay, so far, we're not that lucky," said Pinkie as she was leaning on a rock, breathing heavily with Gummy on her head.
"Not only that, the sun is starting to take a toll on me," said Sonata as she had Laboon sitting on the rock next to her. "So what now?"
While the girls were busy talking about the next thing to do, a bush was shown. A monkey emerged from the bush as it sneaked past the girls and climbed a tree. The animal watched the pair as they finished discussing their next plan.
"Let's head back to the ship and eat. We'll figure something out after we get some food in our bellies," said Pinkie.
"Sounds like a plan," stated Sonata.
The two teens began to make their way back as following them from a distance was the monkey that happened upon the pair. Meanwhile, someone was tracking the monkey that followed Pinkie and Sonata.
The sun was already beginning to set when the girls made it back to the shipwreck site.
"Almost nighttime," said Pinkie as she looked up and saw the sun slowly setting as the sky changed colors.
"So what are we going to do now?" asked Sonata as he could see some stars starting to appear.
"Well, Twilight always said to find some shelter for your first night when lost. I think we should wait till morning to plan our next move," the party girl instructed.
"Okay," responded Sonata as the pair made their way to the wrecked ship.
The girls got aboard, not noticing the simian stow-away.
Author's Note: And we're back with another chapter. After surviving the initial storm, it seems the duo is now shipwrecked as they appear to have no way to call for help. And after exploring for a bit, it seems they've hit a dead end; however, it seems the island isn't so deserted as it appears. As always, leave a review expressing your thoughts and comments.
