One year has passed since Batman made his debut in Gotham City. Chaos has subdued yet, apparently, not everyone was delighted with his involvement. Right now, it was evening, and a GCPD Blimp was outside patrolling Gotham City from the atmosphere.
"This is Gotham Air-1 reporting in, things are quiet for once."
Inside the cockpit of the blimp, two authority officers/flyers were on patrol. Aviator B; the flyer on the right, was observing from the window on his right. Aviator A; the flyer on the left, observes the window on his left. Aviator A corresponds to the radar.
A blip materializes on the radar and immediately disappears on screen!
Aviator A, is surprised and discovers a blip on the radar, "You see that?" Aviator B shifts his awareness to Aviator A, "What?" Aviator A turns to Aviator B and attributes at the radar: "I had a blip!" Aviator A: "It just ghosted across my screen." Aviator B corresponds to the radar, "I don't see anything."
Aviator A attempts to convince Flyer B, "It was there!" Aviator A diverts his attention to the window on his door while Aviator B faces forward.
Aviator A, "Whatever it is must be right below us."
A shadow of an abnormal humanoid bat bolted across from Aviator A's eyesight from bellow to exceeding them, shocking Aviator A.
Aviator A, "Gasp! There it is!"
Aviator B shifted his awareness to Aviator A, "There what is?" Aviator A diverted to Aviator B, "It looked like..." then to Gotham City on his flank entry window, "bat wings." Aviator B was perplexed, "bat wings?"
Both Aviators faced onward, their awareness above them. Aviator B just humored him and shifted his attention to Pilot A, "Ok. Take us up to those clouds, just in case."
Both Aviators guide the GCPD blimp elevated into the atmosphere exceeding the clouds where a full moon shows above them.
Aviator B looked around, "Sorry kid...There's nothing up here." Aviator A scrutinized his flank window and pivoted to Pilot B with a convincing tone, "I swear, I saw it!" Outside we see the rear view of the GCPD Blimp. Aviator A, "Something was flying around up here!"
Back in Gotham City, the shadow of a mixture of a man and bat was flying in the air between buildings heading towards its destination; Phoenix Pharmaceuticals.
Inside one of the halls of Phoenix Pharmaceuticals, a Security Guard started the voice tape recorder while strolling down the halls, "Testing 1-2-3...Testing 1-2-3," he changed his voice "You too can fulfill the dream of being a high-paid radio personality in your spare time-" thumbs to himself with his right hand "-just like me." Lowers the hand. "Just call-"
The Security Guard coughed a little bit and used his right hand to cover his mouth, to clear his throat before resuming: "-Just call the Gotham Institute of Broadcast Arts. Yeah, that's better. Call the Gotham Inst-"
A crashing sound instantly happened! Frightening the Security Guard, a bit. Turning to the back, he gradually advanced into one of the labs. Appearing to be forsaken, he inhaled and exhaled, relaxing, and moved inside the lab, unknowing that the shadow of the dreadful human-bat mixture was behind him.
The Guard unawares got the shivers. Rotated rearward gradually, saw the intruder, and screamed, "AAAH!"
The Security Guard stepped back slowly with fear in his eyes at the sight of the intruder shouting: "GET AWAY!"
The intruder had an inhumane roar and attacked the Guard with what seemed to be a right hook punch. The Security Guard evaded the attack by dodging underneath it. The aggression only struck off the cap and voice tape recorder. The voice tape recorder slipped under one of the tables.
Withdrawing gradually, the Guard seized a desk chair and chucked it at the intruder. However, the intruder dodged the chair as it then smashed right through the window!
The bat-human hybrid seized him over itself and hurled him out the window with him wailing in dread. Fortunately, he plunged into a water channel.
