In the control room the air was tense as the saber class servant entered the room. Archer's eyes was looking at arturia but it draw her attention towards him. Their eyes were instead locked on each other as if a fight was a about to break out. Fujimaru tried to break the tension .

"Arturia, great timing we were about to look for you. Since you are here how about you both introduce yourselves." said by the young master in a nervous tone

Arturia looked at her master and did as what she was told "My name is Arturia Pendragon King of knights your saber class servant" She placed her hand on her chest.

Archer then let out a small grin and and introduced himself again "Servant class Archer I may not have a name to give but I will protect your backs with my arrows"

Everyone who are in the room was a bit surprised to hear that the new servant didn't have a name but Fujimaru still welcomed his new ally and mash said her greeting to her new friend.

"Great to have you on board, Archer" said the young master

Archer faced his master and knee infront of him "My bow and sword are ready to serve you master"

Mash was confused with what Archer said and spoke up "You said sword can you perhaps use other weapons beside the bow?"

"Yes, I say I can handle myself pretty well with a sword and the bow as well" Archer said in his cold tone

Arturia look at Archer with a serious look on her face "since you said you can use both a sword and a bow, how about a spar to get to know one another, if you won't mind"

Archer had no reason to refuse since it will be a good opportunity to show his master what he is capable of. So the both of them went to the training room while ritsuka mash and the ruler class servant Jean D'Arc were in the other room to watch their spar while ruler was ready to stop the fight if it was to get out of hand.

Arturia summoned her sword Excalibur from her legend, she then ready her battle stance "bring out your weapon Archer and let's begin"

"Trace on" Archer whispered

As he said his chant two beautiful blades started to form in both his hands. One was white as snow and the other was ark as the night sky. Their names are Kanshou and Bakuya.

"I am ready when you are" Archer's face became more serious

Arturia's face was full of determination "Here I come"

Arturia charged towards Archer first with a deadly strike but Archer dodged.

Words weren't needed as their blades clashes.

The sound of steel echoed through out the room as they exchange blows after blows. Archer was being overpowered by the strength of his opponent. As he blocked an incoming strike and manage to land a kick to her side, Archer took the opportunity and distanced far enough for him to pull out his bow and start firing swords out of his bow. The sword was twisted as he pull back his bow strings then start shooting at a fast pasted toward Saber. Saber blocked the arrows after arrows.

Everyone in the other room was amazed of how Archer fights and Ruler had only one thought after seeing his display of archery it was deadly, it truly lives up to the Archer class servant. Saber tired to close the distances blocking the arrows until she reached Archer who quickly pull out his swords. He blocked and parry a few times but saber was not done yet.

From the view of the people watching it looked as if Archer was being overpowered by saber but that was far from the truth. Archer was getting faster but the flaw in his swordsmanship was its defense. Saber didn't miss the opportunity and mange to strike his sides. Archer who saw the incoming attack which was seen by his mind's eye and barely blocked it. The impact sent him a few feet away. Everytime Archer block Arturia's attack his twin swords would break into pieces and replace instantly with a new pair of swords. Archer tried to get some distance between them to use his bow again but for saber closing the distance between her and Archer was child's play, she quickly dashed towards Archer and ready to bring down her blade but she was stopped by Ruler who appeared between them.

"The match is over with the victory goingto saber" said The Ruler class servant

"That was amazing" praised Da Vinic

She just entered the room following behind her were mash and Fujimaru

"To see the servant of the bow using twin blades, let me ask you where did you learn it or even how?" Da Vinic was full of excitement and wanting to know more about Archer

As more questions was being asked Archer tried to answer all of them with the best of his abilities but then Ruler stood in front of him holding out her hand "Once again, we glad to have someone who is reliable as you to protect our backs it is truly reassuring"

Archer let out a smile from his cold mask and shoke her hand.

(note: when I use mask here I meant his cold attitude)

As they were welcoming the new servant, Arturia was watching Archer as he was heading out to check around chaldea. She looked at his back as he's walking away. Arturia saw a reliable ally and at the same time someone who has suffer so much.

"Shi--rou?" Arturia unconsciously raised her hands toward Archer but he was already gone.

After the spar the team called it for the day and headed into their own rooms while Arturia offered Archer to show the way to his room and the way around chaldea. Fujimaru went to sleep first because it was very late.

Once he was asleep he found himself in a burning city and he knew he was in a dream cycle. Everywhere he looked, he could not see anything besides a fire burning the city. The smell of burning bodies made he wants to throw up. There was one thought he had after seeing the fire and bodies

"He was in hell"

Fujimaru continued to roam around. After a while he found a boy. The boy was about 9 years old, he was trying to escape this hell, his eyes were empty and yet he continued to walk forward. He covered his ears to keep the screams for help away.

The boy had golden eyes with his most noticeable feature which is his auburn hair. Fujimaru followed the boy for a bit while he walked past countless bodies and yet the boy walked past them until he finally fell onto the ground, he no longer has the strength to move any further.

Fujimaru tried to catch the boy but his body just passed throught Fujimaru's arms. Soon the wall next to the boy collapsed and covered him with rubbles. The dream was cutted short after a man appeared wearing a black coat, he looked so desperate like he is searching for someone. Then he saw a child's hand sticking out of the rubbles. He tires digging the boy out in hoping to save his life and he succeed. He was holding what seems to be a scabbard but the sword was no where to be seen. It was glowing with golden lights and entering the dying boy.

Fujimaru woke up in cold sweat and was unable to go back to sleep. He couldn't get used to the dream cycle no matter how much he tries.

In the morning the young master walked into the cafeteria and was surprised to see some of the staff of chaldea crying while eating their meals saying it was delicious or how they haven't eaten any good food in a long time. It was even more shocked to see Archer was the one cooking, Arturia and Jeanne was in another table eating and the plates beside them piles up. Mash waved her hand inviting her senpai to join her with a smile.

Fujimaru went to her table "Morning senpai, did you have a good sleep?" She asked with concern. The young master simply replied with a yes and smiled.

Archer walks toward their table with two plates of food offering them to Fujimaru and mash.

"Morning master" Archer said his greeting to his master with his usual cold tone but it sounded a bit more friendly.

Fujimaru looked at Archer with confusion "you are just full of surprises, Ain't you Archer?"

"I simply saw the kitchen empty so I asked the staff if I could use the kitchen and they agreed" Archer put the plates infront of Fujimaru.

"Thank you, Archer" he then looked around him and his attention was turned in the food infront of him which was the most delicious thing he ever tasted

"This is delicious" praised Fujimaru

Archer can only let out a small smile but was covered immediately "I am glad that it is to your liking , master"

After that Archer returned to the kitchen and was left alone. He looked around the room which have a warm feeling to it. A memory of a small girl came to his mind. She sat in front of a table waiting for something. Her skin and hair was as white as snow and her eyes was bright red. She looked at his direction with a bright smile and said on* the word she said was blurred out. He couldn't remember what she said. Jean walked into the kitchen to return the plates but instead caught Archer day dreaming.

She saw Archer's face was full of grief and saddness as he was trying to remember something or someone that he has forgotten and she accidentally spoke out her mind "pour soul". Archer quickly returned back to reality and saw Jeanne standing there holding her plates "You can keep there I will wash them" he looked at ruler who was looking at him with the feeling of wanting to comfort her ally.

"Do you have any regrets in your life Archer?" She asked the man who was now standing infront of her. He picked up the plates and put them in the sink "No I don't. I lived my life to the fullest doing what I think was right" he said but their was a hint of saddness in his tone. Jean knowing that he doesn't want to talk about his past just said "I see. While Archer if you want to open up you can speak to me for I do not care either you commit a sin or not. Everyone deserves comfort" and smiled.

Archer had his back turned but his face was showing a grin "Then I will take you up on that offer when I feel like it". Arturia was walking toward the kitchen in hoping to get some more food but overheard the conversation. She felt like she has heard those words from somewhere before. Those words sounds like the ones he said, the person she was waiting for the sheath to her sword and the person she made a promise to.

After the cafeteria was clear out Archer decided to roam around for a bit to get to know the place around. While he was walking, he ran into Arturia who was also walking to past the time since their next mission won't come anytime soon. "Hello there Archer, Can I join in your little walk?" Archer couldn't help but teased the king of knights "well it would be my pleasure to have you join in my little adventure" He said in a sarcastic way. Arturia smiled a bit to his joke and starting walking with him. They talked for quite a bit about his cooking skills and a bit about her past. If anyone saw them they would have thought that they were quite the pair. Archer was listening to Arturia speaking his eyes was cold as ever but inside it was filled with nostalgia and a bit of saddness. Everything was going well when Arturia asked about his past or how he became a heroic spirit but Archer manage to the dodged the question with his question about why she answered ritsuka's call. She said "Because humanity was in danger and since this is also what he would have done" Archer frozed a bit and said "I see, That person must have been important to you for you to say that"

Arturia continued "Yes he is, he was a fool who would do anything to save someone but it is a pity since we had to part ways" Archer then said "I apologise it appears I have spoken out of line". Arturia shake her head "No it is alright but it appears that we have to cut our walk short for since it is time for my training with master" then they said their goodbyes. Archer looked at the back of the girl as she walked away and he said in a silent voice "After all this time you were still waiting even though we get to meet again like this" His voice was fill with regrets and saddness as if he had lost something important.
