Well, it's been a while. So this one has been lingering in the back of my head. Kabedon - but on a packed train! With cute boys!
Disclaimer : I do not own any of the characters.
Definitely not as smutty as my other stuff but I really hope you enjoy. R&R!
Riku had the routine completely ironed out. He would wake up two hours early to catch the earliest train possible into to school. His apartment was just at the edge of Twilight Town, the very last stop on the train's route. It was a long ride, too – I can easily catch up on sleep on the train, he thought.
Not that he's been sleeping well anyhow – "four hours of sleep is plenty for a growing teenager," he thought aloud to himself as he buttoned his shirt. He straightened his tie and threw on the school uniform jacket. He checked his phone "4:15, perfect," he cheered softly to himself.
The silver-haired boy gave himself a once over in the mirror. He's let his hair grow longer than usual, especially the bangs – makes it easier to brush people off. He's had to size down the school uniform – quitting the swim team to avoid being at school longer to avoid a specific blue-eyed brunette will do that to your muscle mass.
Unfortunately, this meant skipping breakfast altogether – Riku was convinced that any sound in the kitchen could wake up a certain brunette neighbor. The silver-haired youth's stomach growled as he slipped on his sneakers.
"Maybe if I'm fast enough today I can actually get lunch and not run into…" he didn't want to say his name out loud.
It's been almost nine whole months since Riku has so much as spoken a word to Sora. Not even a text. Well, that would be a lie – Riku hasn't responded to Sora's texts in nine months. Or his calls. Or his Discord messages. He was scared.
Riku had first noticed it when the boys had gone skinny dipping last summer. Sora barely replied to anything Riku had said that night – he could feel Sora eyes all over his body. Riku shivered as he remembered the rest of the experience – somehow his clothes got "misplaced" for a bit, leaving him naked as Sora was fully dressed.
The brunette had asked Riku to twirl around if he wanted his clothes back.
Riku complied, quickly twirling and laughing as his damp hair spin around him.
Sora wasn't laughing with Riku. He was licking his lips. He'd ask Riku to do it again, slowly. The silver-haired boy would nervously comply, just wanting to get into something warm.
The truth is – Riku doesn't know how to feel about the way Sora has been staring at him.
Even before the skinny dipping, Sora has gotten more handsy. Instead of giving each other high fives, Sora goes in for long, lingering hugs. The brunette even tries to slide his hand up the silver-haired youth's shirt, not that it's really all that weird – they're both boys, right? Riku would just nervously laugh it off as he let the brunette's hands roam under his shirt until he would stop the boy's hands by force.
Since then, Sora has begged to come over to Riku's apartment every single day. For nine straight months. The silver-haired boy's face grew hot at the idea of having Sora over, alone. By themselves.
Riku frowned – he knew Sora was feeling all kinds of hurt after being shunned for nine months. But he didn't know how to broach the subject with Sora to begin with.
And it's left Riku lonely, too. Unlike that shining ball of charisma, Riku didn't have all that many friends aside from Sora. In fact, he didn't have any friends at all besides Sora.
Just thinking about that hungry look in Sora's eyes made Riku's heart race.
He brushed the thoughts aside and quietly closed the door to his apartment.
What scared him the most is how he almost liked how Sora stared at him.
It was easy for Riku to avoid Sora – they barely had any classes together, were usually at opposite ends of the school at generally the same time, and well, Riku got used to eating lunch behind the school or just not at all. Sora played football in the Fall and ran track in the Spring. Riku had quit the swim team before the school year started, his face flushed at the idea of running into Sora after practice in the shower rooms.
The last bell of the day rang, and students of Twilight Town Academy filled the halls. Friends meeting friends for club meetings, kids rushing off to practice, and couples reuniting for the trip home.
This was the trickiest part of the routine for Riku.
He stared at his phone – it was 15:30. Sora would be at football practice in fifteen minutes and Riku would be in the clear to leave school without running into anyone he knew.
After a few minutes the classroom was empty, people were still outside in the hallway chatting noisily accompanied by the occasional locker slam.
Riku gathered his things while humming a soft tune to himself. He grabbed his bag and made for the classroom door across the room.
His phone would vibrate dully every so often. Riku sighed. Frowning, he pulled it from his pocket without breaking stride.
He had two "unread" messages from Sora – the first one was asking if Riku wanted to grab lunch, the second one asked "why have you been ignoring me? " Two from today, but countless by now – the notification badge on Riku's phone stopped at "99+" a long time ago.
Riku glanced down at his phone as he walked with a sullen look on his face, reaching one hand out to slide the door open.
With a soft thud, Riku was on his ass.
"Ah I'm so-, "his words melting into a confused guttural "uh" sound.
It was Sora - standing there, grinning down at the silver-haired boy.
Their eyes met. That look again. Riku felt uneasy.
Riku's head started to feel light, his stomach felt like it was floating to the top, he began to tremble.
How can he be smiling at me after I've been completely avoiding him for the past nine months!?
Riku wanted to crawl into a hole and die a million times. He could feel cold sweat slowly dripping down his back. He darted his eyes away.
"Hey, you," playfully spoke the brunette, extending his hand to help Riku off the floor. Riku saw his own hand reach out towards Sora's, but he stopped himself. He was frozen. He could see Sora's gaze softening, almost hurt by the gesture.
"H-hey," replied Riku, weakly. His face was bright red, he didn't even he realize he was panting aloud.
"You okay, Riku?" asked Sora, eyes filling with concern – the grin turning into something more stoic, worried. The silver-haired boy pushed himself off the ground, dusting off his backside.
"You look really flush…" Sora drifted off. He didn't know where to begin – Riku looked skinny, the under of his eyes were darkening, and he could swear the silver-haired boy was smaller. There is no way that bump should've put Riku on his ass.
Sora wanted answers.
"I-I'm fine! I just really need to go and catch the train. Aha. Ha!" the silver-haired teen stammered out with a nervous smile. He quickly tried to make for the door behind Sora but the brunette stepped in front of him.
Sora wasn't smiling. He looked mad. Riku only now realizing he had to look up to meet Sora's gaze.
When did he get so tall? That's not fair - the silver-haired boy finally feeling the heat in his face – he was blushing like a slut in front of his best friend.
"Well, good seeing you, So-" his name caught in his throat as he tried to push past the brunette only to be barred entry by Sora's chest. Neither of the boys moved for a moment, an armless hug. Riku felt every worry in the world disappear the moment he smelled Sora's scent.
Riku quickly retracted, feeling the boy's warmth on leave his right cheek.
Riku felt something inside of him squeeze even tighter. Riku's breathing grew heavier, he felt like he just ran a marathon.
He's mad at me the silver-haired boy thought to himself, unknowingly frowning in front of Sora.
Why am I so stupid? Riku's gaze focused on the floor. The room was silent save for Riku's labored breathing.
"That's great, I gotta catch the train too. Hope you don't mind," Sora said through gritted teeth. His grin just barely hiding his rage.
"I uh, I don't know, Sora…" was all Riku could manage to eke out. The silver-haired youth had never seen Sora this mad before – not even when they were kids.
Every time they made eye contact, the silver-haired boy would turn his entire body away.
Riku nervously laughed. The brunette sighed angrily.
"It wasn't a request," growled Sora as he grabbed Riku by the wrist and dragged him down out of the classroom and down the hallway.
Riku had grown to hate how handsy Sora was.
The other students in the hallway immediately turned their heads in the direction of the classroom door Sora had just slammed open. Riku's face was bright red as he was being pulled like a disobedient dog by Sora in front of so many people.
Some people grinned mischievously as they pulled their phones out to record the fiasco – it really was rare for anyone to see Sora mad. It was even rarer to see Sora and Riku ever get into any kind of real physical altercation – play fighting sure, but this seemed a bit heavy to bystanders.
Maybe it was that suggestive face Riku didn't know he was making.
"Sora, you're h-hurting me," the silver-haired boy breathed out – he was barely keeping up with Sora's brisk pace and strong grip.
"I know you of all people aren't talking about getting hurt by others, Mister I-can't-pick-up-my-fucking-phone-for-nine-months!" growled the brunette who didn't even turn around to deliver the venom. The brunette eased his grip.
"…You're right," replied the silver-haired teen finally matching Sora's stride. Riku went slack and followed obediently – no longer trying to tug his wrist out of Sora's hand.
The silver-haired youth was so happy he let his bangs grow out – he felt tears dancing at the corner of his eyes.
The duo got to the main entrance of the school – it was raining.
Sora released his grip on Riku's wrist to unfurl his umbrella.
That one comment earlier was enough to completely kill Riku's thoughts of running away from the taller boy – yeah, the guy who's been skipping breakfast and lunch for the past nine months is going to outrun the football star.
The silver-haired boy quickly wiped the corners of his eyes before the brunette would notice.
Riku's breath hitched in his throat when he felt Sora's right-hand interlock with his left, fingers gently but tightly intertwining with his. Sora stepped out, still pulling the silver-haired boy assertively.
He felt unworthy to hold Sora's hand. Riku's gaze was fixed on the splashes left in the rain's wake.
The duo had made it to the train station. They once again released hands to swipe their train passes but quickly found each other's grasp once more.
The station was packed – even more so with the rain mucking everything up. A train was slowly closing in on the stop, passengers huddled in queue under the station's awning to avoid the rain.
Maybe I could just jump in front of this one? Riku just wanted out of this situation. As if he could read minds, Sora gripped his hand tighter.
He got it – he made Sora feel like absolute garbage, even more reason to stay out of his life. Getting over Sora's weird staring was one thing but coming back from this seemed impossible.
I should just disappear. Riku smiled to himself.
"C'mon" he heard Sora say as they shuffled into the train car, the brunette's grip was firm – he didn't want to lose the silver-haired teen in this crowd.
But he did - Riku loosened his grip and intentionally slowed down, allowing a few passengers to flow around and in front of him – blocking Sora's line of sight. Riku sighed in relief.
All I have to do is get off at the next stop and wait for the next train and… Riku panicked – Sora lived next door, where would he even run away to?
Riku found himself with his back against the closed train car door on the opposite side of the way everyone had entered. Luckily the passengers around him seemed to be older people just coming off of work, taller than your average teenager – giving Riku a good shield from any prying eyes.
Bing. Bong.
The train's electronic system had sounded off to signal the doors were closing – the passengers made their final adjustments. The car was packed like a can of sardines.
Riku leaned against the train car door and closed his eyes for a bit as he felt the train beginning to move.
He gasped as he felt a weight shift into him – the train was really packed. Then he saw a hand reach over past the two passengers bunched together in front of him – pushing them apart.
It was Sora. Riku's throat was locked mid swallow. Sora's eyes looked hungry. The brunette had pushed past the other passengers and firmly placed himself in front of the silver-haired teen. No more running.
There was a loud thud from the train door behind Riku - a dark shadow cast over him.
Riku swallowed hard as he looked up – Sora's right hand was firmly pressed against the train door behind the silver-haired teen. The train was so tightly packed that both boys were firmly pressed against each other. Riku's face grew hot as he felt Sora's thigh pressed against his groin.
The silver-haired teen immediately turned his head down downward, however the space between them was nil – Riku just ended up burying his head into Sora's chest.
Riku nervously chuckled as he strained to reach into his bag and just barely pull out his headphones.
The silver-haired teen's hands were shaking, he grinned nervously thinking he could just turn on some music and avoid this situation completely. He sighed in relief as he saw Sora's hand pull back from the train door.
Riku yelped quietly as he felt his left wrist slammed against the train door, firmly pinned by Sora's right. The headphones clattered to the floor.
The silver-haired boy closed his eyes tightly as he saw Sora's face draw closer. The taller teen had rested his head of spiky hair just to side of Riku's face, lips just centimeters from the boy's ear.
"Please, stop trying to run away from me," pleaded the brunette, his voice sounding like it was about to crack with sobbing. The silver-haired boy was limp once more, disarmed; knowing he hurt Sora completely gutted him.
Why did they have to be so close? He was struggling to not breath in Sora's scent of coconuts, cinnamon, and sweat.
Riku knew his life was over the minute the train shifted the wrong way and Sora's thigh pressed into him.
"Just let me talk, okay, Riku?" spoke Sora, softly – his earlier aggression easing up seemingly with the rain. Sora turned his head to Riku, waiting for a response. The silver-haired teen nodded softly.
"I don't know what's going on with you because you won't talk to me – you won't answer your phone, I think you've blocked me on Discord and I know you can hear me when I'm on your fucking balcony pounding at the sliding door!" Sora firmly stated, his grip on Riku's wrist growing tighter with each point laid out.
"And I miss you. I miss talking to my best friend. I miss hanging out with you, Riku," added the brunette.
"I've been so lonely without you, Riku. You know what I would do just to be in your room with you, reading manga or playing video games? If I could just be in a room with you – we wouldn't even have to talk and I'd be happy."
Riku was at the verge of tears, he tilted his head to the side so his bangs could hide his face.
"And now that I have you all I can do is be worried sick about you – look at you – you're wasting away,"
The brunette held his tongue, tears streaming down his face. He didn't care if the other passengers on the train heard him.
"Is this all because of you trying to avoid me?" asked Sora, sounding more like a concerned parent.
"I'm sorry, Sora. Please believe me when I say it's what's best for me and that none of this was to hurt you," softly spoke the silver-haired youth.
"It was really stupid, I know…"
"I'm really sorry, I am – please j-just forget about me, okay? I'm a bad friend and an even wors-"
Sora was listening to Riku speak, honestly. The problem was Sora was torn between hugging the boy and kissing him.
Riku stiffened as he felt Sora's left hand reach up his neck and cup his cheek. Sora had made the boy face him. The brunette gasped quietly as he saw the silver bangs fall out of place, revealing Riku's teal orbs at the verge of tears. He was gorgeous, even with tears threatening to fall from his teal eyes.
Sora had found his eyes straying away from Riku's eyes and onto his pink lips.
Sora's thumb stroked Riku's lips – a deep flush crawled across his face. The brunette raised his knee, grinding it against the silver-haired boy's clothed groin.
Does Sora know what he's doing with his leg?
"I-I d-don't want you to hate me…" trailed off Riku as felt his member grow harder under Sora's ministrations.
"Were you always this cute? Or is it only when I make you cry?" said Sora with a chuckle trying to ease the tension. Everyone but Sora could see the steam leaving Riku's ears at the comment.
Riku's head was a mess. Sora was mad at him, sad for him, and now trying to devour him.
"I could never hate you," breathed Sora as he pressed his nose to Riku's hair, inhaling vanilla.
"What's gotten into you, Sora?" pleaded Riku with earnest confusion in his eyes. Sora smirked.
"I've been thinking about you for a long time now, Riku. Ever since last summer." Riku's face was on fire.
The brunette continued to stroke the boy's lips, finally probing the silver-haired youth's mouth with his thumb. Pressing it against the soft, wet, pink tongue inside – gently running it along in the inside of the boy's jaw. Riku tried to jerk his wrist free.
"P-please let me go," the silver-haired boy said through breathy moans – his flushed face causing Sora to see red. Riku feebly tried to pull his wrist free from Sora's grip. He just didn't have the muscle strength to overpower the taller boy.
"Let you go? And have you avoid me again for who knows how long?" asked Sora, hungrily.
"I-I'm not going anywhere, S-Sora," nervously replied Riku. He winced feeling Sora's grip tighten.
"I don't think I even can…" trailed off the silver-haired youth, looking away from Sora's blue eyes, face completely flushed.
"The things I've been wanting to do to you…" Sora trailed off.
Sora tilted the boy's chin up and leaned forward. He caught Riku off guard, their lips meeting.
The silver-haired boy gasped – giving Sora's tongue access to that wet cavern. Riku was melting in Sora's grip as he felt the wet organ probe his mouth. The silver-haired boy moaned softly into the kiss, slowly tangling his tongue against Sora's.
The two boys broke contact – a thick strand of saliva connecting both of their mouths. Their eyes were half-lidded, lust in their eyes.
"I'm not letting you go again," growled the brunette as he planted kisses along the boy's neck and jaw.
"You're my best friend – got that?" questioned Sora as he stared directly into Riku's teal eyes.
Riku was in a daze – he fully accepted he was going to be devoured by Sora.
Next stop, Twilight Town. Please watch for the closing doors – chimed the public announcement system.
Sora had released Riku's wrists. The brunette now had Riku in his arms – one arm wrapped under the boy's waist and the other hand firmly cupping the silver-haired youth's ass. Squeezing, kneading. Sora's head nuzzling into the boy's neck. Riku was trapped in his best friend's grip.
"So, can I come over today?"
Riku blushed and nodded.
Welp, that's all for now. Probably going to remain a oneshot! Hope everyone's doing alright. R&R.
