Chapter 2
With her letter to Draco written, Hermione decided to take a leisurely walk around the grounds of Hogwarts before having to return to the muggle world. She loved her parents very much, but nowadays she felt like she didn't belong in the world that she grew up in let alone the world she found she needed to feel whole. She had done some research into how many muggle-borns return to the muggle world after graduation from Hogwarts and the numbers were staggering. Nearly all of them retuned to the world they had grown up in because they felt like outcasts in the wizarding world even after Hogwarts.
Meanwhile, Draco was trying to get his thought onto parchment to send to the only witch that had ever stood up to him and made him feel small. Not many witches and wizards could claim that they had made Draco Malfoy feel small but Hermione Granger, Gryffindor Princess, could definitely claim that title. After a few more minutes of thinking, he had what he thought was a well thought out letter to the one person who might be able to save him.

Please forgive me for my actions these past few years. I had no idea just how strong you were to stand up to not only me, but also the ones who continue to want to tear you down. Yes, I know that I stand among that group, but I truly wish to change that and truly get to know who you are as a person, not just a person with muggle blood. Maybe if we are seen changing the status quo, others will follow. If you want me to, I will also write an apology to your friends for how I've treated them as well over the years. I hope to hear from you soon.
