Luna sipped on the cup of punch Sirius had brought her, pretending she couldn't taste the alcohol. She wasn't sure who had spiked the bowl, James, Sirius, or someone else, maybe all of them? It really was such an obvious prank.
"Ready to go again?" Sirius asked, setting his now empty cup on the table behind him. Luna nodded, setting hers down as well. Sirius offered his hand and led her out onto the floor. A slower song filled the air, Sirius looked down at Luna.
"Would it be alright if I held you for this one?" he asked.
"Sure, I'd like that," Luna answered, unbuckling herself and letting Sirius lift her to her feet. He wrapped his arms around her waist, as she put her arms around his shoulders. Together they swayed to the music, her feet on top of his, so they moved as the couple moved. Luna looked into Sirius' eyes and smiled. She wondered if she'd ever danced with anyone like this before, ever felt this way about someone before. She didn't think it was possible, in this moment, she knew no spell, no matter how strong, could ever make her forget Sirius and the way she felt in his arms. The song ended and Sirius gently set Luna back down in her chair.
"That was amazing," she whispered.
"Of course it was, I was with me," Sirius laughed, although Luna could tell from the faint pink spreading across his cheeks that he felt the same way she did.
"It's getting a bit warm in here, want to, um, go somewhere else?" she asked, wishing she'd managed to learn the zipper charm. Oh well, Sirius could unzip her if needed.
"Sure," he replied, taking her hand as they slipped back through the crowd on the dance floor. Luna glanced over and flashed Lily a wide smile and gave her the thumbs up.
The night air was a bit cooler than Luna had planned, but still it felt amazing as she and Sirius made their way down one of the many outdoor paths, this one leading to a small alcove of trees.
"So, um," Luna started, glancing around to make sure they were alone. Sirius smiled at her, sitting down on a stone bench and pulling her over to him so she was facing him. He leaned over and kissed her, wrapping his hands around her face. Luna kissed back, her tongue exploring his lips, her hands sliding around his waist, pulling him closer to her.
"Think this thing can support us both?" she whispered in his ear.
"Only one way to find out. Does it recline too?"
"It does," she answered, lowering the back of the chair slightly as she continued kissing Sirius. She felt his hands sliding the straps of her dress down her shoulders. Luna leaned forward, unbuttoning the buttons on Sirius' shirt, pulling it and his robes down at the same time.
"Um, can I, your bra?" Sirius asked, his face a bit flushed.
"Yes," Luna said, kissing him again, her hands cradling his face. She felt him fumbling with the clasp, and it springing apart,. Sirius slid it off, breaking the kiss only to toss it aside. His hands cupped her breasts as she toyed with his belt. Suddenly her stomach lurched.
"Luna? You alright? We can stop if you want," Sirius said. Luna opened her mouth to reply, but instead threw up. Sirius scrambled back off of her in horror. Luna leaned over the side of her chair, heaving loudly.
"Someone put too much in the punch," Sirius stated. "Here, let's get you cleaned up, back inside," he said, covering Luna's body with his robe. She gave him a weak smile as he pushed her chair for her. Once inside, he helped her clean herself up and took her back to the common room.
"Sorry," she said, looking at the ground in embarrassment.
"It's not your fault," Sirius stated. Luna changed into a clean nightdress while Sirius tried to scorgify her dress, but only managed to set it on fire.
"Oops?"
"It's fine. Thank you for everything though."
"It was nice, here," he said, handing her a vial. "Hang over potion, you might want it in the morning."
"Thanks, I love you," Luna replied, tucking it into her lap.
"I love you too," Sirius answered, giving her a kiss on the forehead, before watching her hover up the stairs and to bed.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Luna knew something was wrong the moment she opened her eyes and it wasn't that she had a hangover. She actually felt completely fine, but something was definitely wrong. The usual morning sounds of everyone getting ready weren't there, instead a strange silence filled the air. She sat up realizing it wasn't entirely silent. There were sounds coming from downstairs, from the Common Room. The sounds of scurrying, of hushed whispers met her ears.
"Lily?" she asked sliding into where her chair was supposed to be. Instead she landed hard on the floor.
"Ow! Lily? Dorcas? Anyone?" she called out, looking around. Her own face stared back at her, blown up hugely, plastered to every wall. Her naked shoulders, Sirius' naked back. Her eyes widened as she realized that someone had taken the photograph the moment she'd been sick. The photograph moved, her vomiting all over Sirius, his expression of disgust and then it started all over again.
There was a printed red caption, "Slut likes getting nasty!"
Luna let out a scream of anger. Some one had seen her last night, someone had taken her picture at the worst possible moment, and plastered them all over the walls. Tears built in her eyes. Filled with rage, she crawled on her arms and stomach to the stairs. She could hear people talking downstairs.
"Lily?" she called out, but didn't hear a response. She slid down the stairs as best she could. The students lingering in the common room looked up as she reached the bottom step. The walls were covered with even more posters, each one calling her a slut, a bitch, calling her nasty and weird. Luna felt her face start to burn.
"Look! It's her!" someone yelled. Luna didn't recognize the student, someone from one of the younger years. His friends burst out laughing as she tried to sit up, leaning against the banister.
"What a freak! Look at her, think she'll strip for me?" another one asked. Luna could feel the tears starting to fall down her face.
"Shut up! Here, let me help you," a girl offered. Luna nodded, letting her help her to one of the chairs. She glared at the two boys who were both still snickering.
"Have you lot seen my friends?" she asked.
"No, well, I did see the other redhead, Evans I think, leaving a bit ago. She seemed mad and was muttering something about Professor McGonagall. Are you alright?"
"No! My chair is gone, my friends are gone, and someone's plastered me being sick all over the common room and my dorm," Luna yelled. The younger boys suddenly cowering behind the sofa. The girl who had helped Luna looked down at the floor.
"And the rest of the school," Sirius said, stepping through the portrait hole.
"Sirius! My chair's-"
"With Professor Flitwick. We were worried that who ever did this had tampered with it, so he's taking a look at it to make sure it's safe."
Luna nodded slowly, that made sense at least.
"Lily was supposed to be here when you woke up to tell you, any idea where she went?"
"No, the students over there said she was saying something about Professor McGonagall and looking mad when she left," Luna answered.
"She was furious when she woke and found those posters plastered everywhere."
"And she didn't rip them down because?"
"Whoever put them up put some kind of sticking charm."
"Marlene."
"What?" Sirius asked, looking at Luna.
"It was Marlene, I mean who else could it have been? The posters are all over our common room, the female dorm-"
"They were put in all the common rooms, Slytherin included. How would Marlene have done that?" Sirius asked.
"I don't know, but who else could it have been? She's the only one who hates me that much."
"And Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore are talking to her right now," Lily's voice stated before the portrait even opened.
"You let Luna wake up alone, to this!" Sirius yelled, gesturing to the posters.
"Severus was outside, said he had an idea to undo the sticking charm," Lily answered, pulling out her wand and aiming it at one of the posters. A jet of something that smelled like oranges sprayed the poster and it fell to the floor.
