After failing to be a hero to everyone, Izuku Midoriya has been damned into the underworld known as Hell. Looking for a second chance at redemption, Izuku vows to become a symbol in Hell as a personal vigilante, not realizing it may draw attention to a certain hotel.
Prologue
Unravel Sins
Failure. That was one word he had heard in his whole life. He had failed to save everyone.
Blood was in his hands. So. Much. Blood. Everywhere. It wasn't just his vital fluid but his loved ones have perished as well. His scars would remind him every day and it made his skin crawl, thinking of these thoughts from his whole life.
He deserved this fate, at least that's what he assumed. He wanted to be a symbol for people to look up to, as a hero. Someone to give others hope and never show weakness to allow a negative impact on peace.
But he couldn't have been more wrong in his entire life. The entire world depended on him to be the next Symbol of Peace, but he couldn't even keep his promises.
How could he? His friends were dead. His teachers were dead. His mother was dead. His mentor, the one who bestowed him a gift to pass on the torch to the next generation of heroes, was dead.
The world he knew before was gone, and it was all his fault. In his last moments, he did avenge everyone by killing the man responsible for this mess in the first place.
He got what he wanted… But it didn't make it any better.
Originally, he was supposed to save him from his troubled past, saving him away from his sins and bringing him to justice. Instead, he had a different approach. No more being a pacifist. He took matters into his own hands.
At the last confrontation, he had stopped holding back his power against him, murdering him in cold blood with the great power his mentor had given him. But use it with the wrong responsibility. He got rageful. He got bitter and ended up just like his tormentor.
After this, his whole body was lying in a pool of his blood, receiving a brutal wound on his abdomen and the two enemies before him. The green pieces of his costume were torn off, including his mask, which appeared like an eldritch rabbit.
At this point, he didn't look like a hero. He might as well have taken the career of a baleful villain instead.
His right hand, which appeared like a white glove, drenched in crimson blood, was holding on to a yellow, worn-out scarf, wrapped around his neck. A gift from another teacher of his, who gave it to him before he passed away on his deathbed.
The scarf was placed on top of himself as a warm blanket to embrace the bitter touch of death soon approaching him. He will be joining his mentors and friends soon, away from this cruel world.
The piles of concrete and dirt were around him. The corpses of the two villains were on the other side, a few inches from his body. One of them, his head crushed to pieces with his dark helmet destroyed, and the other with a hole in their scarred chest.
He did it. He avenged all his dearest ones, and he was going to see them soon. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
His darling family and friends were in a better place. Heaven, to be precise. He wasn't too big on religion, but he could respect it. Everyone had their beliefs as it gave them a motive on living positively.
His green eyes began to look up at the rising sun, beginning to close at the dawn of twilight.
A tear fell out of his emerald eye and he prayed he would see everyone again soon. He was alone, but not for long. He knew he wasn't going to heaven, not for everyone to see him become the monster he has been.
Izuku Midoriya has passed away, free from his sins.
Until now.
In Hell, a place filled with misery and pain, nobody was innocent here. Everyone was a monster here. A literal monster, damned to live here for the rest of their afterlife.
It was a place where tortured souls would go, listening to the screams of the fallen from every direction, and was just a world filled with madness and terror. Chaos was everywhere. The streets were filled with anarchy and saviors didn't exist here.
That's what most people in Hell believe. No one was coming to save you, especially in a place where hope didn't exist. Hidden in all of the chaos ensuing, someone was hiding in the dark corners. Waiting for the opportunity to strike like a mountain lion hunting down a deer, lingering for a chance to jump on its prey.
You only get one chance to choose a target since Hell does have a pretty big population.
This world is eating itself, further increasing the sins of the lost souls who were not welcome in Heaven due to a horrible mistake they committed in the past.
Murder, robberies, rape, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and terrorism, are all of the worst possible things you can imagine living in this shithole.
Someone who was damned here was given a second life here as a way of hoping to prevent all of this chaos from ensuing further. Once his form would come out from the dark corners, he would come out with a smile, a smile that represents fear.
That was his tool. To conquer it, one must become it. He would show Hell that he was here and would use his power to correct the cancer of this society.
In an old, dark alleyway, a group of animalistic beings, known as demons, were loitering around the area. This was their turf around here.
The first being was a lizard with three eyes, wearing some kind of biker gang outfit with dark boots and sunglasses on his eyes.
The next one was two hellhounds wearing the same outfit but had more of an edge on it. One had a red bandana while the other one had a blue bandana except for the one with the blue bandana had two purple eyes while his look-alike had ruby-like eyes.
Continuing, a boar with a broken left horn who wore a white shirt with dark cargo pants appeared buff and had a stereotypical tattoo on his left arm and a faded mohawk on his head.
Lastly, was a foxhound with brown fur who had greasy hair for a mullet as a hairstyle with a hand print tattoo on his right arm. He had a short black shirt and dark green cargo pants, appearing the head honcho of the group.
"So have you heard from Valentino recently?" Asked the boar demon.
"Man, fuck that! I don't want to hear from that stupid-ass pimp! Last I heard from him, he was managing a new whorehouse somewhere." Yelled the foxhound demon, smoking a cigarette.
"Right. Boy, what I'd give to be in his shoes. Think we can get some bitches someday?" One of the hellhounds asked.
"Hmmm, maybe. I give up most of my things to screw one right now."
"Ha, ha, ha! Can't argue with you, man." Agreed the lizard demon. "Wait, here comes one." The Lizard demon uttered, pointing his finger towards the other side.
As the gang turned their heads, they could spot a female demon walking down the streets minding their own business.
It was a female sheep with dark eyes. She wore a gray cashmere sweater and had a purple skirt, appearing timid.
"Jackpot, boys!" The foxhound demon declared, dropping his cigarette. "Let's go over there to introduce ourselves." The fox demon spoke with malicious intent.
As the gang left to pursue the sheep demon, they began to surround her on both sides.
"Hey, where you going, beautiful?" The foxhound demon asked.
"Home… I'm going home." The sheep demoness explained, noticing these strange men cornering around her space.
The fox demon smiled with malicious intent. "Really? I was thinking maybe you want to come with us. Show you around our turf, if you catch my drift."
The Sheep demoness was beginning to get uncomfortable around these men. "N… no… I'm sorry. I should get going soon. I have busy things to do tomorrow." The sheep demoness politely declined, hoping to pass her way through the group.
"Come on, lady. It's only for a little bit. We just want to show you a good time. Let's take you back to our place and you can make yourself comfortable around us." The Lizard blocked the sheep's way.
"I should… get going. It's nice meeting you gentlemen but I have to go." The sheep demoness spoke, trying to leave the scene but as soon as she did, her left arm was grabbed abruptly by the boar demon.
"And who the fuck said you can go? You still haven't answered our fucking question yet!" The boar demon asked with an aggressive tone.
"Please, let me…go! I just want to go home!" The sheep demoness cried.
"Shut up!" The boar demon yelled, slapping the poor sheep in the face as he proceeded to grab her from the ground.
The foxhound had now sported a malicious grin. "Come on, then, let's show her a good time." The fox demon said as the rest of his gang went forward to have her way with her.
The sheep demoness was in distress at this point with tears coming down her. She wanted to be left alone, not to be violated by these animals. She wanted someone to save her. She needed a hero at this point.
"That's enough!" A demonic voice roared out loud, alerting the other demons to its presence.
Once the demons swerved to see where the voice came from, a shadow emerged from a dark alleyway.
"Who the fuck said that?!" The Foxhound leader asked with an aggressive tone.
A figure came out from the shadows, revealing two dark green, ragged bunny ears with dark sunken green irises. He had a body, appearing buff with a height of 220cm, around most likely 7'3 tall. He wore a yellow scarf around him and his arms had a red wrapping around them.
The most twisting feature of this demon was that smile. That Cheshire smile gave off a vibe like an animal hunting for its prey.
Some might say it might give the Radio Demon a run for its money.
"Who the fuck are you?!" The fox demon demanded.
"Your worst nightmare…" The demon rabbit spoke in a gruff voice, introducing himself to these villains.
As soon as he said that, the gang of misfit demons began laughing, cracking up at this demon, wanting to play the hero.
"Do you guys hear this fucking clown?! What does he think he is? Listen, buddy, since you're new to our turf, I'm going to give you a little advice. Nobody fucks with us. Not even most Overlords so I'm going to give you a chance to leave or one of my buddies here will make you." The foxhound demon let out before the boar demon stepped up walking towards the mysterious person in green.
"Your move, bud. I'm going to give you three seconds to leave or I'm gonna knock your fucking teeth off." The boar demon threatened.
The rabbit demon didn't appear or threaten. Instead, his unsettling smile just increased after hearing that.
"Okay, you asked for it, bud!" The boar demon yelled as he raised his right hand, attempting to punch the rabbit demon but his hand caught with the other demon instead.
The rabbit demon caught the boar demon's hand, clenching it with no issues whatsoever.
"What?!"
"Big mistake, villain." The rabbit demon spoke as he delivered a right punch to the boar demon's face, afterward including a barrage of punches going from the face to the chest to everywhere in his body.
The rabbit delivered one final punch, knocking the boar demon to the ground along with his teeth.
"Tell me, do you bleed?" The rabbit demon spoke, before grabbing the boar from the ground.
The demonic rabbit placed both of his hands, on both sides between the boar demon's cheeks. The rabbit ignited green fire around his body, from his head to his toes. With one push, the green rabbit demon crushed the boar demon's head, creating a scenery of gore that shocked the other witnesses in the area.
The entire gang displayed stunned expressions as their strongest member was defeated on the ground easily by this… demon.
With that one image displayed as proof in their eyes, their realization came to fruition, learning who this demon might be.
"Oh shit… I think I know who this guy is…" The red bandana Hellhound proclaimed.
"No… It can't be." The blue bandana Hellhound hesitated.
"The Demon Slayer." The foxhound demon confirmed, out of fear and disbelief.
The Lizard rapidly turns his head to face his acquaintances out of incredulity. "What, I thought this guy was a myth! You… mean to tell me he's real?!" The lizard demon questioned, knowing if he and his buddies were next on this guy's shit list.
"Who's next?" The rabbit demon spoke confidently, intimidating the gang further. "What's wrong? There are four of you left. Are you kids scared that you can't handle someone who can fight back?"
Screw it, the hell hounds with the color grew enraged at that insult. This fucking costume reject just killed their buddy and was throwing a taunt to remind them of their shitty situation.
"Fuck you!" Both of the hellhounds approached the rabbit demon.
"No! You idiots!" The foxhound leader screamed.
The rabbit demon casually dodges all their attacks like children's play. The rabbit demon then shot out a black tendril, grabbing one of the hellhound's arms as the rabbit demon used the whip, swinging one of the hellhounds into the other.
Both of the hellhounds were lying on the ground with blood dripping on their foreheads. The rabbit demon approached both of the hellhounds as he grabbed both of their heads and slammed them together in a puddle of gore.
The foxhound demon looked surprised at this display of violence. Even someone who has been in hell for a long time was not expecting to see this type of violence in front of his own eyes.
The lizard demon used a camouflage trick, appearing behind the rabbit demon in an attempt to hopefully sneak an attack with a knife in his hand but to his surprise, the rabbit demon reacted in time before he could get a chance to strike from behind. The lizard's right arm was grabbed.
The rabbit demon looked at the lizard with a disturbing smile as he slammed the lizard's head on the sidewalk concrete, smashing his head into pieces.
Once he was done with the lizard demon, he turned his attention to the final demon, the fox demon holding the sheep demoness with a knife in his hand.
"Stay back! Stay the fuck back! Or this bitch gets this knife in her throat!" The foxhound demon threatened.
The rabbit demon's smile started to deteriorate but was still completely present.
"That's right. One move and I'll slice her fucking throat down. You took down my boys and I'll take this broad down."
"Is that really what you think?" The rabbit demon asked. "Because no matter what you accomplish, I will be here, to show Hell I am here. Everyone who waves their power to hurt others should be purged." The rabbit demon spoke.
"Shut up! I will kill this bitch if you don't shut up." The foxhound demon threatens, his knife nearing close to the demoness's neck who was shedding tears at this point.
"Do it. I dare you." The rabbit demon challenged as the foxhound demon looked surprised, noticing the rabbit demon was walking close to him.
"I'm warning you! Stay back!" The foxhound demon warned while the rabbit demon took further steps. "Alright, because you said so, I'm going to do it!" The foxhound demon as he put the knife close to the sheep demoness's neck.
As the sheep demoness closed her eyes and was expecting a blade on her throat, a force rushed her next to her. As she opened her eyes, she caught a glimpse of the rabbit demon next to her side.
What she didn't expect to see was the rabbit demon's right arm, punching a hole inside the foxhound demon's stomach. Her eyes widened in surprise as the foxhound demon dropped the knife to the ground.
"You… you… too… fast." The foxhound began to speak in words, in too much pain to comprehend.
Before the foxhound could speak another word, he heard one last line, beginning to meet his demise. The smile, the maddening smile on the rabbit's exterior was the last thing he would see, to show him a terrifying fate.
"Everyone shows their true colors before they die… You don't deserve to be saved from this lifestyle, knowing you can never be redeemed for your crimes. But now, let this memory be the last thing you see. Now… die." The rabbit demon before taking his right arm out of the foxhound's stomach as the foxhound lay on the hard ground, lifeless.
The sheep demoness looked fearful and was honestly worried about what this… demon was going to do to her. Right when she looked to stare at the rabbit demon, the rabbit demon turned to face her, still giving that unsettling smile around him.
'Oh please, he killed them in front of me. Is he going to save me last?' The demoness thought.
"Are you okay, miss?" The rabbit demon asked, placing his right hand to wipe her tears away from her sore eyes.
She was taken aback by this notion. He was worried about her. The same demon who had murdered five of these demons in cold blood. Sure, they deserved it, but how did she know it wasn't just an act?
But at the same time, why would this demon save her in the first place?
"Y… yeah, I'm fine." The sheep demoness responded.
The demonic rabbit appeared relieved to hear her words. "Get home safely, miss. It's usually dangerous around these parts of town. If you want, next time take the next shortcut on the left. It's much faster and you can skip a lot of turf wars, knowing from my experience."
The rabbit demon turned and began to leave before he heard a voice called out to him.
"Wait! Are… you The Green Devil? Who… Who are you?" The sheep asked.
"I'm just your friendly neighborhood vigilante." The devilish rabbit declared openly to the anxious woman, still displaying that frightening smile. She didn't know why, but that smile, creepy as hell may her feel secure.
"But what's your name?" The sheep raised another question, hoping to get an answer for his motives.
"Deku." The rabbit demon confessed with a smile, before jumping up, leaving a trail of green fire behind and the sheep demoness to ponder in her thoughts.
"Deku… huh. It's a strange name but… it makes me feel safe." The sheep demoness said with a smile on her face, before leaving the turf and making her way home safely.
Back in an old apartment complex, a green costumed figure snuck into his room through the window.
"I only got a few seconds left." The rabbit demon spoke before he began to change his form.
The huge rabbit vigilante depilated into a puff of smoke before reverting to his original self. He would have to wait another hour until his power returned.
No longer the strong, muscular, demonic rabbit we saw earlier, but instead was a completely different appearance. Standing at the height of 166 cm, now 5'5 tall, was a skinny boy with messy, dark, curly hair. He had freckles on his face and his skin was pure white.
On top of his head, he had two light green rabbit ears poking out from his hair. He appeared like a sunken skeleton with angular features appearing like he needed more rest.
His eyes were dark green with red lenses, covering the entire eye. The rabbit demon rapidly coughed up green blood like a water fountain overflowing. This was to due overachieving his limits. He went over to where his drawer was and grabbed a towel, wiping the blood from his mouth.
"Finally, my time was running out. Thankfully, I got here just in time before my identity was exposed." Said the now-changed rabbit demon, changing out of his costume.
The rabbit demon went to the closest to grab a new pair of clothes, which included a dark green hoodie and black cargo pants.
This demon was known as Izuku Midoriya, or Midori for short.
Five years. Five fucking years he had been in the underworld after his passing in his original life.
Izuku or Midori remembers the first day he had arrived in Hell, no longer a human but a demon. Not just any demon but a rabbit-bunny one as well. It was just like how his old costume appeared when he was alive. How poetic?
Midori wasn't expecting much when he died, he thought he would get a chance to meet an angel who told him he was ready to move on to the afterlife. Well, he was half-right on meeting the afterlife but in a different setting.
He remembers meeting an archangel by the name of Michael, telling him it was his time to go to heaven. Not when he had plans for him. A plan for salvation, to save his soul in damnation.
After that, Midori was condemned into an internal prison, serving as some kind of "hero" in Hell, but who was he kidding? Heroes were the last thing to expect in Hell, let alone killers, rapists, or drug lords. But heroes were a different story.
After getting dressed, Midori grabbed the remote from his cabinet and turned on the television.
Once the television was on, a news report was playing. "Good afternoon! I'm Katie Killjoy."
"And I'm Tom Trench."
Midori sighed, knowing those two had nothing good to say.
"Today's news covers a story that everyone's been dying to see, looking at you, nosy bastards. Last night, a group of five demons was brutally murdered on a sidewalk near Pentagram City. Most notably, they all seemed affiliated with Valentino, the hottest pimp, no pun intended, was in a previous gang." Katie reported.
"A clue was left out leaving the person responsible for this mess was most notably the famous Demon Slayer, The Green Devil," Tom reported on the television.
Katie's grin increased further. "That's right, limp dick, The Green Devil has struck again, sending fear into all the criminals and monsters all over Hell. Who knew someone was that desperate for fucking attention?"
"I know, right? It's one thing to see a murderer or thief in Hell, but a fucking hero? That gets me every time." Tom laughed out of his disbelief.
"I know what you mean by that Tom, but one question that does bother me is what in the flying fuck is this demon trying to accomplish?! I mean, it's one thing to kill a bunch of fucking nobodies but the next day, to save someone in a burning building or stop a fucking bank robbery?! What is this, an old, cliché, shitty comic book? Puh-please." Katie rolled her eyes, not believing that a superhero was damned right here.
"Can't argue with that logic but it seems he already has fans rooting for him. Even Overlords like Valentino and Vox seemed to be threatened or scared even of this vigilante. Even Angels can't seem to stop this guy from past extermination days. From earlier statements from other demons, it seems Valentino did encounter him a year ago and The Green Devil left him a scar as a present. Since then, Valentino, while still active, hasn't shown his face in public much since that deadly encounter." Tom clarified.
"Wow, I guess if this demon can make an Overlord scared, he must real pick in the fucking bunch." Katie let out.
"Personally, I'm rooting for him." Tom confessed, putting both of his shoulders behind his head.
"Yeah, say that out loud. The fucking Overlords might hear you say that." Katie reminded her partner.
Tom's eyes widened fearfully, realizing this was on live television. "I… I… I… mean, I hope they catch him, whoever he is." Tom laughed weakly.
Turning off the T.V, Midori walked over to his bed and sat on it, taking the time to reminisce about everything.
Midori still remembers when he first landed here, he had no place to stay, no help, and no resources to aid him. Nothing. That was until he encountered an organization named I.M.P.
Midori smiles at that recollection. He remembers Blizto, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona. The people who gave him a home to live in.
Blizto, while having a vulgar attitude, did show his kindness to Midori and began to see him as a son of sorts, just like how he did to his adopted daughter, Loona as part of his own family.
Moxxie and Millie were also surrogate parents to him. The Imp couple treated him as their son in preparation if they ever wanted to have kids. The sad truth about that is demons who had been condemned to Hell can't have children. So he was like a substitute for that.
Even so, they were proud to have him as part of the family. Loona was a bit of a complicated one.
On the other hand, she was like an older sister to Midori, eventually starting to see him as a family as well, but through time, Loona began to develop feelings towards Midori.
He still remembers the day, the last day before he moved out of their place to live alone in an apartment, Loona confessed to Midori, saying she had started to see him more as a friend.
Midori didn't know how to respond, as it was the first time someone confessed to him with romantic feelings. Wait, scratch that. This wasn't the first time someone confessed to him.
He still recollects his old life when a villain by the name of Himiko Toga confessed to him and Midori or rather Izuku at the time was taken aback by her confession. Being new to this stuff, Izuku rejected the girl as he wasn't interested in being in a relationship with someone, especially with a villain of all people.
Let's just say she didn't take the news of rejection well. Midori still remembers the cuts he had received, no thanks to his words of choice.
A similar case happened in Hell too. After Loona confessed to Midori, Midori had a few seconds to think until he had a response to her words.
He said he was sorry, but he wasn't interested in a relationship, rejecting Loona after he left.
Since arriving in Hell, Izuku had no interest in romance or sex even. Just thinking about those subjects made him uneasy about it. Even when he was alive, he was so focused on his dreams of being a hero that he didn't consider that.
Loona at first didn't take it easy but then respected his choice. She gave him her phone number along with Blizto, Moxxie, and Millie's numbers as well to keep in contact.
Afterward, Midori moved into an old apartment complex that was close to Pentagram City. He had laid low key, getting adjusted to his life, and wanted to start all over.
A year before that was when he got into the Vigilante name once again. He once ran into a turf war between two factions of demons. He soon discovered his demon power, and how the remnants of his old life haven't abandoned him.
Midori still possessed the power, which his mentor had presented to him. One For All. The quirk had transferred over to Midori, serving as his main weapon. Midori had first awakened the power once again when a gray wolf demon tried to attack him only because he bumped into him by accident. In defense, green fire emerged from around his body, transforming him.
Midori had killed the wolf in one punch, utilizing One For All at 10% as he punched a hole through his chest. Midori's form changed, going from a skinny, plain-looking demon to a muscular, menacing one, similar to how his mentor would change forms.
One For All seems to have gotten a power boost since Midori transferred his power to Hell.
Not just One For All but the other quirks had come with a special bonus. Blackwhip was one example Midori used a lot when it came to long-range combat and was quite handy when he encountered Angels for the first time on Extermination Day.
It saved his ass that day. Not just Blackwhip but his other quirks were awakened at the right time as well. Danger Sense was the second one awakened around that time, alerting him of the presence of Angels and other demons. Smokescreen was helpful, giving him cover to sneak into turfs without being detected by both Demons and Angels.
Float became beneficial when it came to traversing the underworld to locate any more danger as well as Fa Jin, increasing the quirk's speed.
Eventually, Midori had fully reunited with his quirk and became the personal vigilante of Hell, making a name for himself. Midori has been stopping turf wars, murders, and drug lords around.
Once in a while, he would occasionally look out for small-time crooks, such as bank robberies, saving people from incoming accidents, or even escorting someone to their home. Just being a good Samaritan.
Midori soon gained a name in the underworld, known as The Green Devil, most preferred, The Demon Slayer. It was more than just a codename, it was his real mask.
Midori lifted his right arm and rolled up his hoodie sleeve, feeling his scars from hardships.
'These scars would remind me why I'm here in the first place.' Midori thought to himself. 'I'm wondering what everyone is doing in heaven. I hope they're being taken good care of.'
Okaa-san, All Might, Gran Torino, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, Eri, Kota, Mirio, Amajiki, Hadou, Nighteye, Eraserhead, Present Mic, Midnight, Tsuyu, Mineta, Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, Yaoyorozu, Jirou, Tokoyami, Koda, Sero, Aoyama, Sato, Ojiro, Hagakure, Kacchan.
These were all of Midori's loved ones who had perished and moved on to a better life since they all died in battle, protecting him from evil's clutches.
"I hope they have peace upstairs where I'm from," Midori lamented in his native tongue.
Growling came from Midori's stomach. Guessing after a worth of crime-fighting supposedly, he was a bit peckish.
"I haven't eaten anything in a while. Guess it's time to get groceries." Midori realized, getting up from his bed.
Midori had put on his red-trademark sneakers and grabbed a familiar yellow scarf from his drawer. Midori wrapped it around his neck and placed his green hood over his head, covering his bunny ears on top.
He walked out his apartment door and closed it, exciting the complex to find some food.
Later, in a convenience store.
"That will be $14.35." Said an Imp cashier.
Midori took out three 5 dollars bills, handing them over to the cashier. The cashier rang the register and handed the rest of the leftover cents back to Midori.
"Thank you," Midori said in fluent English, bowing his head.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get out of here." The Imp cashier told rudely, reading an adult magazine, not paying attention to the customer in front of his face.
Normally, Midori would take offense at the Imp's attitude, but what could he do about it? He was in Hell. It was pretty much telling you to have a nice day in outside. Yeah, right.
Midori grabbed the plastic bag and made his way out of the convenience store. As he was walking with his hood down, he noticed a lot of demons passing by him. Most demons were giving him looks of pity or displeasure, being stood out in the crowd.
Midori didn't mind at this point. He just wanted to get some damn groceries out.
While Midori was walking, he noticed the sound of a T.V. going off. His head turned and looked at the glass window where the television was being played. His eyes weren't surprised by what was showing on the television.
It was the only news station playing in all of Hell as it began to broadcast a story in front of the green rabbit demon's eyes.
"Good afternoon, I'm Katie Killjoy."
"And I'm Tom Trench."
Not again. Midori groaned at the sight of these two numbskulls. Don't they have any other news stations in Hell?
Midori grew tired of seeing the same shit on the news. The only positive thing that came out of it was that it was an excellent resource to find the most troublesome crimes located in Hell and would provide good information on the biggest hotshots in Hell.
Trying to look at it in a good manner to find a decent source, Midori decided to listen to what Mr. and Mrs. Jackass had to say.
"Welcome back to Channel 666 News Station! Earlier we talked about the sightings at everyone's quote, unquote, favorite, new superhero in town. Ha, Ha, Ha! That makes me fucking laugh every time!" Katie cried with a smile on her face. "But we're not here to talk about that, instead we have a special guest with us. You all know who she is! The princess of Hell herself, Charlotte Magne!"
Midori paused after hearing that. Did she call out who he was thinking of?
At first appearance, a humanoid pale white-skinned girl with long blonde hair that went beyond her shoulders and had rosy cheeks as well as black lipstick on her lips. She wore a red tuxedo with black dress pants that gave off a nice figure.
Not that Midori was interested in that stuff, but he could tell that she did have a remarkable look, certainly not in this grim tale.
The one thing that did catch Midori's attention off guard was the smile on her face between her rosy cheeks. That damn smile. She stood out as an innocent person as she was the last thing in Hell Midori expected. And he thought he was the one with an unsullied appearance.
A wash of nostalgia appeared in Midori's mind. The last time he saw innocence on someone's face was…
No, not her. He didn't want to switch his thoughts to her. It began to twist his mindset the more she appeared in his head. Who was the person that Midori didn't want to remember?
Well, it would have to be the one who was there for him as a friend. The one who had a dream to support her parents' career in construction. The one who saved him from falling flat on his face on his first day at his new school. The one who changed the meaning of Deku.
Ochako.
The Princess of Hell reminded him of one of his best friends from his previous life.
There's no way. It was impossible how uncanny the resemblance was. But the similarity was there. They shared the same smile, the same bubbly personality, and the same hopeful demeanor.
When Midori first arrived in Hell, he didn't want anything to do with the princess or her family. He was just a guy who stayed off the radar and wanted to help those in need. He honestly expected her to appear like your usual "Princess of Hell" but instead, she was the complete opposite of what he saw here.
Midori shocked his head, snapping back to his reality. His eyes turned to the television.
"So Charlotte," Katie says in her speech.
"Uhh, it's Charlie," Charlie says meekly, reminding Midori of memories from his previous life in Alderaan Middle School.
"Whatever. So tell us about this new passion project you've been constantly pestering our news station about." Katie urged the princess with a goading attitude.
Charlie looked at the camera before turning her gaze to the news demoness once again. "Well… As many of you know, I was born in Hell. Growing up here, I've always tried to look for the good in people deep down with them no matter what kind of sin they committed. It does pain me that many of my precious people were needlessly slaughtered in this year's extermination without being allowed to redeem themselves." Charlie sympathized as she began to walk off the stage, giving the crowd a determined expression on her face.
"That's why instead of having to quake in fear every time The Angels come down here in heaven during the annual purge, we instead choose to put outside our differences in indulging in wantless carnal desires to instead work hard to shed the impiety off your souls! To the gates of Heaven!" Charlie finished, leaping off towards the anchor with the biggest smile on her face.
Midori was taken aback by her cheerful attitude. Was she the spitting image of Uraraka and Ashido?
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm opening the first of its kind. A hotel. Not just any hotel, a hotel that rehabilitates sinners." Charlie announced with excitement in her voice.
Hearing the Princess on the television, Midori was taken aback by her words as his green eyes widened in surprise. Did she believe that anyone can be redeemed? Even her goal was similar to his and Ochako's dreams.
Even so, was it possible to be redeemed from this world?
"Look, I know every single one of you has something good deep down inside. I know you do."
Midori shook his head at her words. 'I don't know about that…' Midori thought, knowing Hell was a place reserved for people who have committed horrible acts. Himself included.
Seeing the Princess of Hell, in her jovial demeanor, did remind him of himself. Back when he wanted to save Shigaraki from his malicious goals. He promised Nana he would bring back Tenko Shimura, the innocent part wanting to be saved from a selfish fate.
It was the original plan before he had taken away his loved ones. Midori at this point knew he couldn't save Shigaraki anymore, not after what he committed.
Sorry Nana, but this is why he doesn't make promises. He needed to put down Shigaraki like a dog because he was infected with his malignant views.
"Maybe I'm not getting through to you," Charlie said, getting ready to continue with a jingle.
Wait, what was she doing? She was going to sing on… live television. Midori was not expecting to hear a musical number from her.
In short, the Princess begins to sing with an enamoring opening, describing her dreams in a cheerful tone, the music picks up with her speed, dancing on the set of the news station.
Midori honestly didn't know what he was seeing with his own eyes. She was singing. In Hell. On live television. Midori knew that it was a goofy sight he was witnessing but at the same time, it brought a smile to his face.
This was pretty much a message of her own. The equivalent of his mentor, shouting out to the whole world he was here for them. This… girl wasn't too different from him. She was trying to keep her ideals alive.
After the song was beginning to conclude to an end, the Princess of Hell ended the song, appearing happier than ever.
After a moment of silence, a voice broke out breaking it. "Wow, that was shit!"
Everyone exploded with laughter, and tons of laughs were heard, mocking the princess with her silly dreams. Midori felt a sharp sympathy for her.
A depressing memory from his childhood came into his head.
'Ha, Midoriya?! Attending U.A.?!'
'Get real, why would anyone accept a quirkless nobody into a prestigious school?!'
'Shitty Deku, I'm going to be the number one hero! So just stay out of my way!'
'If you want a quirk so badly, go do a swan dive off the roof and be reborn with a quirk.'
Midori closed his eyes, shaking his head, wanting the annoying laughter to stop. Gripping the plastic bag tightly in his right hand, a surge of green fire was sparked from his right arm. Everyone needed to shut the fuck up right now.
He was staring at a mirror as his green eyes watched the Princess with a saddened expression written all over her face. A mirror that reminded him about his dreams being turned into mockery.
He had been in a similar situation before, and he was not going to stand here, accepting these insults.
But what could he do about it? He wasn't the righteous hero he was in his past life. He was just a bystander at this point.
Katie began to laugh at the girl's foolish ideals. "What in the nine circles of Hell would make you think that a single demon in Hell would give a flying fuck over wanting to better themselves… Just because?" Katie bellowed, trying her hardest not to continue to laugh as she began to giggle while pounding her desk. "Do you have any evidence to support you being able to save a soul in this perdition of suffering?" Katie laughed until she realized a similarity appeared.
Midori didn't like where this was going so far.
"Oh wait, in fact, someone in Hell already stole your idea of justice, Little Miss Sunshine. Did you forget about the infamous Demon Slayer of Hell? He's pretty much been doing your shitty job for you. He got rid of most of the population, terrified one of Hell's powerful Overlords, and even took a few Angels down on past extermination days. So tell me, why should we listen to your idea when this demon who has acted on his own, is doing a better job than you?"
Yep. He was right. Midori knew this had to involve him sometime later in the conversation. How tragic that was?
Charlie had a look of silence on her face. She had heard of the infamous Demon Slayer. The Green Devil is what they call him best. But his motives and ways of erasing the population were wrong. She had to speak up in front of everyone.
"No! You're wrong! What The Green Devil is committing is no better than what most Demons are doing but I do see where you're coming from. It's thanks to him we don't have to worry about any demons getting exterminated by Angels but… he's still committing murder. It's not in his right to decide who gets to live or die!" Charlie justified.
Midori had a guilty expression under his hoodie. He knew she wasn't wrong. Who was he to decide who gets a chance to live in this world?
"Oh, look who's talking. At least he's taking matters into his own hands. What the fuck have you been doing? While you were out there sitting in your lame-ass hotel 'rehabilitating demons,' this guy has been killing criminals and has been making a name for himself. People loved rooting for the underdog. They eat this shit all day, every day!"
"Well, you're wrong about one thing. I'll have you know that we already have a positive recipient working on our program, and have shown great progress in changing his bad habits for the better." Charlie declared very loudly.
"Oh? And prey tell, who's the lucky victim who would agree willingly to join a holy, lost cause?"
"I don't know, maybe you heard of him before. Someone… by the name of Angel Dust."
Angel Dust. Where did Midori hear that name before? Wasn't that an actor in adult movies? Wait, on second thought, Midori didn't want to continue with his thoughts, due to being repulsed by those images. Still, he had to ask himself. Why did he want to be redeemed?
Continuing watching the news, the princess continued her explanation. "I beg to differ. Not only has he been well behaved, clean, and he's been staying out of trouble for the past two weeks now."
While Midori heard the princess's words and began to ponder his thoughts, a ringing sensation occured in his head.
'Danger Sense!'
Right as Midori was alarmed, an explosion broke out a couple of buildings away. He knew what was going on.
He was in the middle of a turf war. Fantastic.
Midori attempted to run out of the area, realizing he couldn't be out here in his weakened state. While sprinting with the groceries in his right hand, Midori stopped to witness a sight in front of his way.
His eyes spotted two bystanders as it appeared as a female wolf demoness wearing skimpy clothes and a bull demon wearing a black suit, running. The demoness tripped as her partner stopped in his tracks, lending a hand.
Midori knew he couldn't use his quirk, not with his time limit up. But he had to try. He had a responsibility, not to let anyone else die because of him. It won't happen again. Not when he was here.
Right as the bull demon lent a hand to his partner, a large piece of debris began falling on the couple. As the couple prepared to embrace death, a green flash appeared in a flash destroying the debris into small pieces, saving the couple from a terrible fate.
The couple looked up to a two-eared muscular man wearing a green hoodie and a yellow scarf, who had a smile on his face.
"Are you alright?"
The couple nodded in response due to fear and awe. "You're… You're the Green Devil." Said the Bull demon.
The green man's smile increased after hearing that statement. "Is… it true? Do… you help demons here?"
"Yes… That is my duty as the Symbol of Hope. I won't let anything happen to you. Not when I'm here."
Another explosion broke out near the other side of a building. The man in the green hoodie picked up the couple and carried them out of harm's way. The man had gotten the couple to a safe distance, away from the conflict.
"You two are safe. For now. Now if you excuse me, I must have a duty to do."
"Wait! You're…going back?! It's a turf war going on. Why are you risking your neck for demons like us?" The bull demon demanded, wanting an answer for this madman in front of him.
"Because I promised myself I would aim to be a better person for my determination. I want to show Hell that I Am Here, even if it costs my life." The vigilante declared, turning his physique around and leaving the couple behind as he hopped high in the air, with green fire emerging around his body.
The couple appeared stunned after meeting the infamous vigilante of Hell. "No way… he's fucking insane but cool… at the same time." The bull demon spoke in awe along with his partner agreeing on his side.
In the central part of Pentagram City, a large zeppelin could be heard flying with maniacal laughter in the background.
"Ahahahhahaha! Yes, these cowardly sinners don't dare hinder my conquest of Pentagram City! The might of my machines is unmatched!" A snake-themed demon operating the large contraption.
His eggmen happily cheered for the snake man's goals as their boss began to raise hands as a sign of dominating the underworld.
At that moment, glass was heard breaking, and someone breaking through the front of the ship. A small bomb with a painted skull landed in front of Sir Pentious and his eggmen, resulting in a colossal explosion on the ship.
Right as the smoke clears, a woman who appeared to be a cyclops wearing punk clothing, preparing to combat the snake lord.
"You looking for a fight, old man? Why don't you get this sorry piece of shit of a toy ship off my turf before I smash your face in?!" The woman asked with pure edge and malice.
"You ready to go, missy? I'll be happy to oblige. Kill her!" The snake man commanded as his eggmen began throwing bombs at the rebellious cyclops.
The woman began dodging all the bombs and began countering his attacks, shooting his men with her weapon. All in the meantime, a white-haired spider-themed demon, wearing a tuxedo matching the same color as his fur, appeared wielding a tommy gun in one of his six arms, backing up the cyclops appearing to be his friend.
"Hey Angie, thanks for the backup!" The cyclops woman said, happy for his company.
"You kidding? This is the best action I've seen in ages!" The spider demon declared, utilizing his gun.
"Where were you anyway? You suddenly disappeared out of nowhere, I was beginning to think you went on and died on me."
"Nah! I wish. I've been staying at this crappy hotel on the other side of town." Angel let out, throwing a bomb as a way to offer them a chance of lending a hand. "Some boards are letting me stay if I stay clean over there."
"Really, how so?" Cherri asked, throwing another bomb resulting in another explosion.
"They have me under some kind of good program, to have me stay clean and sober. No drugs and alcohol and the rest of the good shit. They've been having me do all these kinds of exercises to help improve my unhealthy lifestyle." Angel began to quote, lifting his two fingers on his left hand while his right hand still wielding the tommy gun. "No swearing, no drugs, no booze of any kind. Honestly, it's cramping my style because these bitches have no fun at all, just for being clean for two weeks."
"Holy shit," Cherri commented, not accepting that her friend was actually in rehab.
Once the two demons were discussing, Cherri took one last opportunity to kick Sir Pentious down as he fell to the ground, angry about being a fool by these two whores.
"Next time, get a style that doesn't involve your hat coming to life." Cherri made fun of the snake overlord with Angel laughing on her side.
"How… How… dare you… make fun of my attirement!" The Overlord screamed out of his anger.
"Wow, do you think he's going to snap?" Cherri asked her friend.
"Huh. Really? Wasn't paying attention." Angel said, scratching his hair.
As Sir Pentious was on the ground, he had one last bomb up his sleeve. Literally.
"I have enough of this utter… nonsense!" The snake overlord cried as he threw a bomb toward the duo.
The female cyclops' eyes widened open, realizing she should have paid more attention to the fool in front of her. Now she and her friend were going to be blown to smithereens. Because of her carelessness. "Angie, look out!" The woman screamed, attempting to push her friend out of harm's way as the bomb caused a separation between the two. Before anyone would get harmed, a green flash appeared preventing a disaster.
"What?"
"No wonder my gift from the fourth wouldn't shut up." Spoke a demonic voice behind the smoke.
Pentious's grin was washed away, witnessing a petrifying sight in front of his eyes. "No, not you… Anybody but you." The snake overlord said in fear.
A green figure now stood with the one-eyed woman and her companion in his arms. He looked pissed but chose to express it with a smile instead. A grim smile that is.
"Boss, is that… who do I think it is?" One of the eggmen henchmen said.
"Yessss. The Green Devil." Confirming his scourge was real.
"Nice to see you again. Did you like our previous encounter last time?" The rabbit vigilante taunted, making the snake overlord loathing with hostility.
Pentious began to growl, forming an angry attitude. "Sssscrew you!" Yelled the snake overlord. "Eliminate him!"
The eggmen in the zeppelin began firing more bombs toward the green punisher.
The demonic rabbit saw this coming from a mile away, his smile still intact reacted thanks to his Danger Sense.
"Hold on tight." The green vigilante spoke as he ignited his power, dodging the incoming attacks.
Once the vigilante was out of the snake overlord's sight, he went to where a phone booth was and sat the cyclops woman and her spider friend down, getting them to safety.
"Are you okay?" The green demon asked.
"Am I okay? You! You're… the fucking Demon Slayer! I heard about you these past years. You made some overlords shit their pants recently. What, are you supposed to be some kind of caped superhero?"
"In a way, yes. But it's not safe for you, miss. Let me take care of this and get your friend here to safety."
"What, no way! That old man has been pissing me off recently. He stepped on my fucking turf and now he has to pay for it!"
"Don't worry, I'll take care of this. Just get to a safe zone and I'll make sure he pays for his crimes." The Green Vigilante assures while the cyclops demoness appears skeptical at the demon's supporting words.
"Wait, what's your game here? What exactly are you trying to accomplish here in the first fucking place?" Cheeri asked with an edgy tone.
"Just to show Hell that someone like me exists." The devilish vigilante answered with the same grin from earlier.
Green fire surrounded his body and leap from the ground, leaving the cyclops who still had more questions than answers.
After the green demonic rabbit had left the cyclops woman and her spider companion, who was unconscious on the ground, she began to question herself, what in the H-E double hockey sticks just happened?
A voice could be heard groaning next to her. "Ughh, what happened?" Angel began to wake up, realizing he was in a new environment. "Hey, where did the daddy overlord go?"
"Angel, you're okay!" Cherri meant, tightly hugging her friend, glad that he was safe.
"Yeah, I am too… But you're kinda… cru…ushing me." Angel pleaded, hoping she would stop soon.
"Oh, sorry about that. I thought you were almost a goner, no thanks to the stupid snake asshole."
"Oh yeah, where is the daddy overlord? One sec, we were facing him, blasting his stupid ass vibrator into pieces, next, we're far away from the turf."
"Angel, have you ever heard of the Demon Slayer? You know, the guy who gave your piece of shit boss a scar on his face."
Angel had a look of realization on his face. "Oh yeah! The one who made Valentino shit his pants, forcing him to isolate himself. It's thanks to him, I don't have to work as much as I used to before." Angel recalled a year ago when a mysterious vigilante appeared out of nowhere and a conflict emerged between his boss and the hero in green.
Let's just say it didn't end well with Valentino. Angel smirked at that thought.
"But man, Valentino's been fucking pissed recently. Since then, he rarely shows his face in Hell, even when he's invited to events, he always has an excuse to not go out." Angel recalled the incident where Valentino had a deadly encounter with the green vigilante. "Why do you ask?"
"Well, he's the same guy who saved our fucking asses from that snake dickwad." Cherri clarified to the adult actor.
Angel appeared shocked by his friend's words. "Really?! He was here! Aw, man, I didn't even get a chance to ask for his autograph. Hell, maybe I would have done… a favor for him if he stuck around." Angel said lustily.
"Next time, Angel. Next time." Cherri said, patting his back.
"Hopefully, maybe I'll give him my number next time I see him." Angel hoped one day.
Once arriving on the turf again, Midori had come face to face with the snake overlord.
"You… I will not let you ruin my plans again. Not like last time."
"It's over, Pentious. Surrender or we can do this the hard way."
"Hahaha, why would I surrender? You costumed vigilantes have no class. In war, one should always conduct themselves with utmost care in both manners. As the saying goes, the best side is the sssside most remember." Sir Pentious declared like a madman.
"Or the side that shows the pressure of heroes, tricking the fear inside them. Being taken by your hatred before you and trying to fill your selfish desires." The Demonic vigilante clarified his morals.
"Hahaha, where do you come up with philosophical nonsense? Do you think you could stand a chance against the immensity might of my machines and all their glory? You are a fool if you think you could defeat me like this for I, Sir Pentious, The Magnificent!"
As Pentious was rambling on in his own words, a green blur of fire rushed towards his zeppelin. Midori activated Full Cowl as green flames ignited around his body and jumped high in the air, using Float and Fa Jin to support him on his speed.
Midori in his demon form began punching a hole through the machine and commenced using Blackwhip. The dark tendrils wrapped around the machine as Midori began to use 45% of his strength, bringing the zeppelin down, and dismantling the snake overlord's possession.
"No, damn you here!" Sir Pentious cursed, knowing he was defeated once again by the green vigilante.
The zeppelin came crashing down, creating huge concrete in the center of the city. Thankfully, there were no bystanders nearby when the Zeppelin landed harshly on the ground. Midori was seriously done at this point.
Because of this Overlord, people who were almost killed, who had nothing to do with this stupid turf war were all caught in the crossfires and could have died if he wasn't here to stop.
Seriously, fuck this guy. Fuck his stupid contraption. Fuck these stupid turf wars. Fuck these other chicken-shit Overlords.
Fuck the news station. Fuck the whole media for that matter.
Fuck Hell. Fuck the pain he has to go through constantly.
Fuck all of it.
Midori sighed and decided to call it a day. He had only fifteen seconds left before his form would change.
After finishing his little scuffle with the megalomaniac, Midori had changed back to his normal demon form, using the muscular physique and returning to a lanky devil.
"Damn, I passed my limit once again." Midori began to cough green blood from his mouth. He was becoming a lot like his idol at this point. "All Might. It looks like I didn't learn like last time or from your personal experiences as well." Midori reminisces about his former mentor.
Kami, may he find peace in Heaven. Everyone special to him in U.A.
Walking through the neighborhood where his apartment was located, a terrible realization struck Midori as he stopped walking in the streets.
"Oh, wait." Midori realized one thing, his head turning in every direction he stood. "Oh crap, my groceries are gone! I must have left them back in the city." Midori realizes. "Damn it!" The bunny hood demon cursed out loud, not completing a simple task.
Midori sighs to himself, wiping the blood from his mouth with his hood's sleeve. 'Guess I'm eating leftover Chinese food once again.' Midori thought to himself. 'Maybe I can order a pizza this time.'
As Midori began to leave straight back to his apartment, his head began ringing inside.
'Danger Sense! It's activating right now?! But where's the danger?' Midori questioned, turning his head to locate the threat.
Midori knew he could stay for that long. Not with his limit down. He needed to at least wait an hour until his main quirk activities again.
"Well, you certainly were entertaining to watch." A static voice spoke behind the bunny demon.
Midori paused for a second, never recalling a voice like that. Midori turned around to see where the voice came from.
"My, my, my. I always expected the so-called ' 'Hero of Hell' to be someone of a wise age or even a lost long fallen angel who was cast into Hell itself but I certainly was not expecting a young man who doesn't appear older than in his teens." The red figure commented on the rabbit demon's image.
At first glance, it was a demon, most likely standing at 7 feet, almost as tall as Midori's demon form. This demon was wearing a dark red pinstripe coat with a bottom red dress shirt with a bright red dress shirt underneath his coat. At the top of his head, he had red hair, sporting a bob cut with deer ears and black antlers, resembling what kind of animal he was.
His right hand was holding a thin cane, resembling a long microphone.
The most notable feature that Midori noticed was a smile. A smile was wide open, sending a cold feeling toward the young demon. A smile that rivals his former mentor and even himself in a run for their money.
Not out of peace or hope but out of fear instead. This demon… is a symbol of terror and Midori was in a tough spot here. Where has he seen this demon before? Certainly not in his own free time, not even on his patrols on the streets, looking for bad eggs to punish out there.
Midori was muttering to himself, looking for a possible connection between him and this chilling stranger here. While in his thoughts, he heard a distorted voice speaking to him. "Dear boy, I have been attempting to catch your attention but I hear you speaking to yourself." The deer-themed demon spoke as Midori stopped his inner monologue.
The demon had heard what he was saying. Midori blushed green on his cheeks. Shit, now he was making a first bad impression on him and was probably getting a suspicious look from him.
"Dear boy, are you sure you're alright? Do you need to see a doctor or a clinic somewhere?" The demon with antlers inquired as Midori began to put on a straight face once again, not falling into this tomfoolery.
"No… I'm fine. I… was just talking to myself." Midori clarified, wishing to save himself from the embarrassment.
"Hmmm, fair enough. I do suppose I can sorta relate to your quirky habits. I do tend to have a habit of speaking my thoughts to myself. That is when no one's around." The demon finished his sentence with a shit-eating grin all over his face.
Midori knew this demon was just fucking with him. He had already gotten enough of that from classmates from his middle school to his time at U.A. Academy. He certainly didn't need to hear from this demon. He's already been damned to Hell. Wasn't that enough punishment for him?
"I've been looking for you, dear boy or should I say, the legendary Demon Slayer of Hell." The smiling demon revealed excitingly.
Midori's eyes widened after hearing his words. How did this demon know his real identity?
"You've always been a particular entertainment to hear around the underworld. It's about time we finally get a chance to meet due to amusement coincidences."
Midori now realized who he was speaking to. "You're… You're the Radio Demon." Midori spoke out calmly.
"That's me, good sir!" The Radio Demon took a bow in front of the shocked rabbit. "And you're The Green Devil everyone seems to be raving about for the past years. It's finally an honor to meet you, a worthy contender like myself."
Midori attempted a way to leave this encounter. "Uhhh, I… I don't know what you're talking about, I think you got the wrong demon. I was just passing through here." Midori lied, hoping to get away with this.
The Radio Demon saw past his shenanigans, confirming it with a straight face but still carrying his infamous smile. "Dear boy, you can't manipulate me with your lies. I witnessed you using some kind of power, the ability to summon black tendrils from your arms and display some kind of raw super strength with green fire emerging from your body. But one thing that I do question about it is what kind of magic did you use?" The Radio Demon asked with great curiosity.
Magic? What did he mean by magic? He knew Hell was a supernatural place but he didn't think magic was a subject around here.
Even then, Midori wasn't sure what the hell this creep meant by magic. Was he referring to his quirk? That just offers Midori more questions than answers.
Midori grew an intense look. He knew who he was.
Was he watching him engage in the Turf War?
How long was he watching him for?
Was this the first time he spotted him using his quirk?
Did he know about One For All?
Shit, shit, shit, shit. Midori knew he was screwed. Why didn't he make sure of his surroundings first before he decided to go play hero instead?
"Ah, but enough of my meddling. So, why don't we go out for a nice stroll? Let's… have a civilization conversation somewhere." The Radio Demon suggests, lending a hand to the bunny hood demon. Midori prepares to take a step back, knowing that he didn't have much of a choice here. He didn't have time for this shit. He just wanted to go home and rest.
Even in Hell, he could hear his homeroom teacher calling him out as a problem child from him on many occasions. Luck was not on his side this time.
"Come now, let's handle this like gentlemen." The Radio Demon contended before static began to change around him. "Or there will be another approach." The Radio Demon's form changed into a sinister, distorted form, his eyes darkened, appearing more like a beast than a humanoid.
Midori knew he was walking on eggshells, knowing he wasn't at his full strength to battle The Radio Demon. Even if he did, he couldn't risk showing his true identity to anyone.
"So, let's talk, young man."
Midori sighed to himself, knowing he didn't have a choice.
"Fine… Like I got nothing better to do."
"Splendid, my good sir! I promised you this won't take longer than an hour or so." The Radio Demon assured. "So young man, please care to walk alongside me." The Radio Demon urges the young demon for a simple conversation.
Midori was starting to regret this already. How spectacular.
"Before we get started, I would like to know the name of the infamous vigilante running around these chaotic streets of Hell." The Radio Demon inquired about the vigilante's identity.
"Shouldn't you give me your name first, demon?" Midori asked with an attitude.
"Oh, you're right about that. Apologies for not giving my introduction sooner. My name is Alastor." The now-named Demon politely introduced himself. "So, what is your name, young man?" Alastor asked curious about the young man's name.
Midori stood silent for a few seconds, reluctantly introducing himself. "Midoriya. But you can just call me Midori." Midori said simply underneath his green hood.
"Magnificent! Please to make your acquaintance, Young Midoriya!" Alastor lends a hand to shake Midori's hand.
Midori's expression stiffened after those words from The Radio Demon as he harshly slaps his hand. "Do me a favor. Don't… ever call me that again!" Midori screamed at The Radio Demon, as the rabbit demon's skinny form began to shift to his muscular form.
The Radio Demon displayed a poker face, his unsettling smile still intact. "Well, I was just trying to be polite. No need to antagonize me with your manners." Alastor let out sarcastically, still sporting the smile on his face, appearing not to be threatened by the green rabbit's words.
Midori took a deep breath and calmed down, reverting to his skinny form. "Sorry, that name brings back a lot of bad memories," Midori spoke in a relaxed way, wiping green blood with his sleeve a second time again.
"Apologies for not knowing of your past. I wanted to make a simple conversation with you." Alastor apologized, not knowing if his apology was sincere.
"No… It's fine. Let's just get this over with." Midori spoke one's mind.
"Splendid! Let's go for a stroll then, Mister Midoriya. Does that sound better to you?"
"Yeah… I guess."
"Good. Well, I don't want to waste more of our valuable time here. Off we go." Alastor cheered, putting his left arm around the timid rabbit's shoulders, going for a stroll.
Midori sighs, walking next to the pompous Overlord, questioning if this was a good decision to begin in the first place.
He didn't even know what other options were there. Looks like even far away from his original, even in Hell, Izuku Midoriya was cursed with a terrible fate. Not all demons live here equal and he learned about how society works at a young age.
For better or for worse, the meaning of the word "Hero" was being put on the test. This was simply just the beginning to the end.
AN: Hello Everyone! This was Chapter 1 of my MHA/Hazbin Hotel X-Over. Yes, I know I just posted my Demon Slayer/Avengers story but I had this story finished around the same time as well. So why not post it sooner or later?
Big thanks go to GrimmyPigeon and Meraj Alimi King101 for helping me beta this story. Now you're probably wondering why I chose Hazbin Hotel as another option for a crossover. Frankly, it's because of other MHA/Hazbin Hotel crossovers, no offense to any of the other authors who wrote those stories but I find those stories lacking originally.
Just like what I said about my MHA/Avengers X-Over, a lot of MHA crossovers always rinse and repeat the same thing, such as giving Izuku a quirk of an overpowered character and giving him a harem when it's kinda necessary for a lot of stories. The same could be said with Hazbin Hotel crossovers as well since two of them just forced Izuku to have a quirk, going to U.A, and don't offer much in the story since you read those kinds of stories before with other fandoms, once again, no offense to any of the authors to those stories.
That being said, I hope this was a refreshing take on your usual MHA/Hazbin Hotel. If you can guess already, yes, I'm using Vigilante Deku again for this story but as a demon instead since it does help both of the Universes fit together.
I hope you guys look forward to more and I will start posting more frequently on this site so be on the lookout for a new chapter of my other stories as well.
Please feel free to leave a favorite, follow, and review this story and tell me what was your favorite part of this chapter.
Join me on my discord. My discord link is in my profile and I chat with others there for new ideas for future stories. I hope you guys have a magnificent day and I'll see you guys next time now. Adios!
