**AN: I hate myself. I'm making my life harder by writing another 3 fics on top of all my other ones.

Whatever, we ball.**

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Through him all things were made and without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Izuku Midoriya was a scarily intelligent 10 year old. Even with his quirkless status, his teachers and fellow students could not do anything to refute this fact. But instead of making his life better, it made it worse. People put in more effort to, as it was put, keep him in his place below his betters. He was constantly being purposely sabotaged by his teachers and his fellow students made the effort to abuse him physically and mentally whenever they could. There was no one, child or adult, who cared about his existence. The worst of them all, was his former best friend, Katsuki Bakugou. Someone who he had known for as long as he could remember. Someone who he had once thought of as a brother, had been the first to turn on him.

But Izuku didn't care. He didn't care about much these days. Once upon a time, he had been a bright eyed and excited child, naive to the difficulties of the new world. But upon his quirkless diagnosis and the passing of his mother, He lost all happiness in his life and the world seemed much darker.

That was why he was so fond of the bible scripture of John 1:1. It hinted at the absolute power God wielded and yet, he insisted on helping humanity. Perhaps he hadn't bore witness to the revolting creatures that were humanity. But that didn't make sense as he was omniscient.

Perhaps he held out hope that there was still a chance for humanity to change for the better. But that didn't make sense as, after millions of years of barbaric actions, surly he should have given up.

It made no sense to Izuku but there was no one who had the answer.

Izuku pondered upon these thoughts as he made his way down the busy streets of downtown Musutafu. School and work had just let out so the streets and roads were packed chock full of bodies and cars.

Stopping at a light, he waited for the red man in the traffic light to turn green. Staring blankly across the street, he was just barely able to notice the man sprinting across the street. Judging from his all black attire and black beanie, along with the purse he held in his hand and the visibly distraught woman on the sidewalk, he was a petty criminal.

As Izuku watched the man run across the busy street, he began to notice. The faint green lines that seemed to connect to everything around him. The people, the cars, even the buildings and the sidewalks, thousands upon thousands of faint green lines connected everything to a single point, him.

But there was one line, one that glowed brighter than the others, not by much, but to Izuku, it might as well have been the sun. And it was connected to the purse snatcher still running across the street.

As though by instinct, Izuku reached out mentally, and tugged on the bright line.

The man, still sprinting across the road, lurched to a sudden stop, as though someone had tied a rope around his waist and yanked on it.

Falling directly onto his face, there was nothing he could do about the truck that ran him over no more than a second later.

Izuku could only stand still and look at the flattened body. As everyone around him scampered around, some screamed in shock and fear as others frantically called the police.

Izuku could only stare at the dead body, lying in a pool of his own blood and crushed organs.

Izuku could feel it. A feeling he hadn't felt in a long time.

He knew what had happened, he wasn't stupid. He knew he now had a quirk. He knew he had just used said quirk to kill a man who arguably didn't deserve to die. He knew that no one would ever know it was him.

And he felt giddy, excited, almost…..joyful.

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Through him all things were made and without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

That was what the bible said. But Izuku didn't like the wording, so he would change it.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Through him all things were made and without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the reform of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

**AN: I was listening to My Ordinary Life by: The Living Tombstone when I got this idea. We also talked about the bible passage mentioned above in my theology class today. Call it fate but this idea only came to mind today and it is the most i've written in a while.

This one will be a bit more complex than my other stories as Izuku is a complex person in this one. Don't take the things I write at face value as, for this story, I will be an unreliable author. I could insinuate something but do the opposite or I could be telling the truth. You'll never know until it's too late. I hope you enjoy the agony reading this story will bring you.

I also think I will be making some use of some bible passages throughout the story. Just to see if it increases how much you enjoy it.

So, in the immortal words of Atlas,

Review, would you kindly?

And have a wonderful day!**
