She has regrets about the yukata.

At the store it appeared so adorable, sexy in a way, at least in front of her old pals… the geometric shapes are placed perfectly in a way that would outline her curves and hips. Especially in the chest area. Camie saw it wonderfully at first.

But now it sucks.

Bakugou wouldn't like this design, would he…? Would he have preferred the carnations? Or neither? Uraraka and Asui were so sure about it, though. Had she made the completely wrong choice? Maybe just a plain blue one would have worked better… would he even notice…?

Stop, stop, stop!

What is she thinking?! It's not like Bakugou's got his eyes set on her anyway! Not once over these ten years, so why would he suddenly be attracted to her now?! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Maybe she shouldn't go to that festival, after all. She'd make a fool of herself in front of him. He won't even want to hang with her anyway.

It's too good to be true. Just like Hagakure said.

Camie stares at herself in the mirror.

…She's not good enough for him, is she? A hero ranking in the top 40s chasing after one of the top 5… it sounds ridiculous said aloud. It's like a peasant swooning over a king. Absolutely no chance. Impossible.

How can she possibly keep going on like this?

While manga can make that fairy tale come true, this is reality. A girl like her with a guy like him, there are too many gaps and differences that interfere with any similarities. She's perky, he's loud. She's outgoing, he keeps to himself.

Why do I like him, again…?

It just sort of, kind of, happened, sort of.

Sort of, kind of… sort of.

What made her like him? What strange enishi has linked her to him? And why does it make her suffer so?

"My advice would be to just be yourself!"

'Be yourself.'

Bakugou never once lied to himself, has he? He's never seemed the type to do that… always being genuine with his thoughts, even if they are outrageous and maybe a bit on the violent side. Camie recalls, distantly, back in high school, in her wonder years, during the remedial course. She'd be so impressed by his abilities. His reflexes, his analysis, and anything that would catch a regular person's eye.

The 'bad boy' type always sort of interested her…

So…

What type of girl would interest him?

In the middle of her crisis, a song barges through her thoughts and practically scares the shit outta her. She whirls to her phone that is vibrating on her dresser. Camie takes a breather or two before picking up and answering, "Yo, what's up?"

And to her amazement, it's… someone she hasn't spoken to in years.

"Utsushimi-san?"

That delicate voice of a lady whispering into her ear, Camie quickly recognizes who's called her. Momo Yaoyorozu sounds as if she's gingerly holding the phone against her ear. Camie almost squeals. "Omigod, Momo-chan?! Is that you? We like, haven't talked in, like, forever!"

"Haha, I know," Yaoyorozu giggles. "Still have that nickname for me, huh…"

"You know it!" Camie falls back onto her bed, ready for a good few hours of girl talk. "So, what's up? Haven't talked to ya in a while. Been totes busy."

"Oh, I know, me too. Sorry for the sudden call, I messaged you earlier that I would, but you didn't see it…"

"Oof, my bad, B. Wuz tryin' on stuff." She prods at her yukata. "Uraraka and Asui got me a new yukata."

"A yukata?" asks Yaoyoruzu, yet her surprise sounds as if it was forced. "What for?"

"Summer Fest."

In the most obvious-sarcastic way, Yaoyorozu gasps. "I h-had completely, uh, forgotten about that! What?" she whispers off to the side, "I should say what? Oh! Uhh, s-speaking of the Summer Festival, Utsushimi-san, um, I was calling because I wanted to see if you would be interested in coming with some of us…"

"'Us'?"

"Yes!" she sounds as if she's solved a puzzle. "Some of my old friends from high school! You know…"

Camie lifts a brow. Yaoyorozu's acting pretty strange. "I dunno, Momo-chan… I wuz just gonna go alone, or with Shishikura, or whatever."

"YOU HAVE TO COME WITH US."

The most terrifying thing Camie has heard in a long time. Momo goes silent after her quick command. Was that Satan just now? Like a demon had suddenly possessed her and let out a vicious roar. Camie stares at her cell, blinking rapidly in bewilderment.

Well then.

Sounds like she'll be going with Momo-chan…

"O… kay… uh, who's gonna be there…?"

"Oh, you know!" Yaoyorozu says, back to normal. "Shouto, Ashido-san, Kyouka, Midoriya-san, BAKUGOU-SAN, Shouji-san…"

Oh…

So Bakugou will be with them, too… not on his own…

He'll be around a bunch of other girls, too…

Camie grips her phone.

She remembers Todoroki. She went on a few missions with him last month, and of course his main conversation topic was about Yaoyorozu. It only angered her more that nobody else talks about her to others like that. She wanted to punch him so badly.

Oh, yeah, he and Yaoyorozu are still a thing, too… for about, what, six years now?

"So, what do you think?" Yaoyorozu asks.

"..."

"...Utsushimi?"

Camie slurs, "I'll go… as long as ya tell me something."

"I'm all ears."

Certainly they must have some sort of secret to be able to last that long… as well as never seem to get on each other's bad side. A man like Todoroki interests Yaoyorozu, and a woman like Yaoyorouz interests Todoroki…

They have to know something.

Camie grips her bedsheet and rolls onto her side, suddenly becoming sullen as the words roll off her lips. "How do you… like, I dunno… make things work between, like, you and Todoroki?"

Yaoyorozu goes silent. Camie wonders abjectly if she asked the wrong question, and suddenly thinks herself an idiot, yet until Yaoyorozu actually gives her a solid reply.

"Well, for starters… he and I have known each other a long time, so we know what we both like. Shouto takes care of me, and I take care of him. We both trust each other to the end."

Solid, good advice. Coming from an experienced woman, that is. Meanwhile Camie doesn't know the first thing what Bakugou likes… or dislikes. He seems like a lone wolf. She needs some leeway to figure out what exactly interests him. The kind of girl that interests him.

"Aight… thanks. But, um, it's also the way you look, too, right…?"

"Hmm? Oh um, I suppose so… Shouto seems content with the way I look. I love him no matter how he looks, however. Why the sudden interest?"

Camie blushes, realizing she'd been spilling out words without even thinking of it. "Ah, nothing. Just, there's this guy I like, and, like, haha, I totes dunno what he's into."

"Momo-chan?"

"A-ahh, sorry, I was just, distracted. Would you mind telling me who it is you are interested in? Perhaps I could give you some insight about their interests." Her pitch softens into a quiet whisper.

…Telling Ashido was something Camie still regrets, but… this is Momo Yaoyorozu. A true lady. There's no way she'd tell anyone, right? Her relationship with Todoroki is built off trust… she wouldn't blab Camie's secret, right?

Right?

Right?

"...I… guess…" Camie shifts her tone down, quickly checking her own room before gently muttering into the phone, "The guy I like… it's Bakugou Katsuki."

"He likes spicy food and mountain climbing and also a bit of a challenge. He is very competent but also has a wonderful heart deep down. If you are able to deal with his constant yelling, and make him realize your feelings, I am sure you two will be a wonderful couple."

…!

A mere instant! The second the words left Camie's lips, Yaoyorozu went off as if she had practiced the speech for over countless days! Quick and terse, just as how anyone would want it! The fact that she even managed to speak a whole paragraph of it baffles Camie!

Spicy food and mountain climbing.

Who would've guessed?!

"Perhaps you could challenge him to some games at the festival!" Yaoyorozu suggests. "If you beat him, I'm sure that'd impress him!"

An astonished Camie sits up from her bed, nearly quaking as she processes this new information. Spicy food and mountain climbing. Spicy food and mountain climbing. Spicy food and mountain climbing.

Oh, hail Yaoyorozu!

"T-thank you so much, Momo-chan…! Like, seriously!"

"It's nothing! Aaand, so, do you believe you'll come with us now?"

"Yes! Yes, I totally will! I'll meet y'all there!"

"Great!"

"Ashido is nothing compared to you!"

Yaoyorozu shrieks. "A...ahhh, thank you…!"

"Uh huh! Imma see if can, like, make anything spicy rn. Ttyl, nice speaking with you, Momo-chan!" With that, Camie ends the call and rushes out of her room, completely forgetting she is wearing her special yukata she got from Uraraka and Asui.

She can't wait for the Summer Festival!

Yaoyorozu trembles. Jirou's having a hard time stifling her laughter, meanwhile Kaminari is full-on laughing. Midoriya looks perplexed as he slowly turns his attention to Ashido, whose face could not be any more deadlier.

"She said—haha! She said you're nothing!" Kaminari barks.

They'd been on speaker this whole time…

Kirishima tries to soothe his girlfriend while all she can do is sit there and relish in… whatever disgusting feeling this is. She'll teach that girl a lesson someday.
