Tengenwa and the two princes quickly looked around to ensure there were no threats at the other end. Knowing that there was no immediate danger and that in fact, their arrival would be unnoticed, they completely crossed the portal, and a few seconds later, it disappeared behind them. The other side of the portal seemed to be in the middle of a hug forest, very near an inhabited area. They could see lights, houses in a very huge tree, but no one was in sight.
"Where are we, Tengenwa?" Dúwath asked looking around the surrounding area, and then the huge tree in front of them that was a little away.
"Yára," Telemnar growled out slightly not happy that they were in the area.
"Calm down, Telemnar. And yes it seems we were brought here to Yára. We need-" Tengenwa started to speak, but Dúwath interrupt him.
"Hold on. You knew we would end up here, didn't you wizard? This isn't about who is the husband or mate to the Calithil, but something else entirely." Tengenwa looked sideways towards Dúwath annoyed clearly written on his face as he spoke.
"Yes I did. And yes there is more to the prophecy than what you have been told. I am here to tell you both more about it once we are inside."
"Fine. Lead the way," Dúwath muttered unhappily about the new situation. Tengenwa then lead the two princes to and in Yára. They fast walked up the stairs of Yára's tree trunk, never forgetting their usually reserved and quiet demeanor. This was Dúwath's first time being here in Yára, but this is most likely Telemnar's sixths time traveling into these lands.
Normally Telemnar and the higher ranking Fairy Elementals did not socialize outside of large groups, hence the awkward visit today. Following Tengenwa, the two princes carefully avoided the sights of other fellow citizens of Yára and slipped into the treasury room. From there they carried on into the private, normally locked room in the back, behind the blue silk tapestry hiding the heavy oak door.
"Now remember, what you see and hear beyond this door stays there. Do you two understand?" Tengenwa a hard tone of voice. Both of Telemnar and Dúwath nodded with understanding. Tengenwa pulled out a key that he'd been given and entered with Dúwath and Telemnar right behind him. When they entered, they saw a dwarf sitting on one of the walls near what appeared to be a golden casket, encrusted with gems and encased with precious metals found around only in the deepest darkest parts of Mélamar.
They noticed that he was a man of shorter stature, and had black hair with a beard that goes down past his neck. He was wearing a nicer shirt and coat with fine, classier pants. He was dressed much nicer than everyone else in the Angruin. The three went and stood on the other side of the casket, watching the dwarf. At this, the two princes took the time to look at the casket. A slender, almost impenetrable glass covering glittered in the noonday sun, making the figure inside nearly invisible unless one looked directly at it. The dark haired dwarf finally looked up and nodded in greeting.
"Tengenwa, I trust you found and got the two lads here alight," he said, breaking eye contact to stare at the Dúwath and Telemnar beside Tengenwa. "Welcome, Lads."
"Thurin, how is she doing? Any changes yet," Tengenwa nodded back in greeting as he went down to business and looked down at the figure laid to rest in front of them again.
"The Lass is good. She hasn't done much, since Lady Laaera brought her here. The only thing that has happened is her blue-ocean water stone had glowed last night."
"It must be very important that you had to discuss the prophecy to us in a tomb," Dúwath replied coolly, glancing around him. "I expected, well, somewhere more formal, like an office or something." Tengenwa looked at the two princes and gestured towards the casket.
"Actually, this tomb as you call it is really why I brought you two here. Well, not so much the tomb as the person inside it." Telemnar watched as Dúwath looked down and saw his jaw drop with wide eyes. Telemnar finally turned to gaze inside the coffin and immediately felt his jaw drop slightly, but not like he saw Dúwath did.
Inside was one of the most beautiful creatures the dragon had ever seen; a tall girl with silver-blue hair, full pink lips and pointed ears, a lithe form and seemingly perfect curves in all the right places.
"She wasn't a full elf, but not quite a fairy elemental either. A combination of both perhaps. Could she be the-" Telemnar thought slightly interested in this facts before his thoughts were interrupted.
"Who is she?" Dúwath finally managed to choke out, tearing his eyes away from the girl and stared at Tengenwa. "What is she, where is she even from?" The wizard smiled politely.
"Her name no one knows, and she is a half elemental and half elf. She is also the Calithil." The elf prince frowned.
"No, she's not," Dúwath argued, returning his eyes to the girl once more. "She can't be, not as breath taking as she is. Is she even breathing?" Tengenwa chuckled and swept his long figures across the glass, admiringly almost.
"No, you're right, she isn't."
"But you just said she was!" Dúwath exclaimed, hopelessly confused.
"Explain, Tengenwa." Telemnar commended turning towards the smirking wizard. Tengenwa looked up at them both once again.
"This woman's soul is not from our world, and this body is right now empty without a soul at the moment. A human soul, yes, this elf elemental body, no. This body appeared 500 years ago by one of the Aratar. Lady Laaera came through a magical gateway to our lands from theirs to bring me the body of the next Calithil."
Both princes looked back at the girl's face and Tengenwa ignored it as he continued. "I have met the young woman once before, when I was sent to her world instructed by the Aratar. She had no home when I met her, no family, no possessions except a knife and horrible memories to sustain the small child. I was told to give something that her mother would have given her at the right age, the same necklace that is around this woman's neck. I took it upon myself to watch over her as time goes by. She sadly took a job as an assassin for her leaders, but they taught her everything that she needs to know in exchange for her serves."
"Woah! Hold on, Tengenwa. You are telling us that she is an assassin and that she could kill us whenever she feels like it?" Dúwath exclaimed in disbelief at what he is hearing.
"Oh, I would love to see that, princeling!" Thurin busted out laughing.
"Thurin," Tengenwa started sternly at the dwarf before continuing. "She is very intelligent in both calm and crazy situations. About a year ago the Aratar came to me and painfully told me that the little girl I met 24 years ago was in fact the next Calithil." Both Telemnar and Dúwath stared at the elder wizard with fascination and amazement.
"The Aratars brought you this body and is allowing an assassin to our world who can join the darkness if she sees it fits?"
"She was a sweet small child when I met her for the first time. But over time she had to change and fight for her survival." Tengenwa snapped, glaring at the elf prince. "Yes, the Aratar did pick her and in time she will see that she can be and do good things in this world." The wizard regained his composure and swallowed before starting again. "When I first time and made eye contact I loved her caring heart, but it was not out of pity; I knew at that moment I would have done anything for her." Telemnar observed his companion curiously.
