Hey guys! Here's a brand-new MHA fanfic and this is my very first one. I've been writing missing/lost stories lately, so I thought I give MHA a shot. I hope you like it and I promise the next MHA fanfic will be a lot sweeter (less dramatic). Feel free to review if you want to. Enjoy!
It was an average ordinary day. Inside one of the apartment complexes, a short woman with green hair and gentle eyes was busy cleaning up. She hummed as she finished vacuuming and then looked up at the clock.
"Goodness time flies. Izuku should be home soon," she said
She put the vacuum away and then washed her hands. She went into the kitchen and started preparing a snack for little Izuku. She knows her son comes home hungry after playing with his friends. Their daily schedule was the same. When little Izuku gets out of school, he goes to the park with his friends to play for a few hours while Inko takes care of the household. She runs errands and does food shopping while little Izuku is at school.
"Izuku should be home in a half hour. I might as well catch a quick nap," said Inko as she yawned
She went into her bedroom and plopped down on the bed. She felt tired today, but a short nap should help her feel refreshed. She lied on her stomach, which was her favorite sleeping position. Her face sunk into the soft pillow. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
(6:15pm)
Inko woke up and slowly sat up. She stretched and yawned. She slowly got up and started making her way into the living room. She looked at the clock and her eyes widened. She didn't realize she slept that long.
"It's already after six? I have to get dinner ready!" said Inko
Before entering the kitchen, she went to Izuku's room. Usually, little Izuku would play in his room after he had his snack. Inko started knocking.
"Hey Izuku, I'm sorry but dinner is going to be a little late," she said
There was no response. That was strange. Inko would usually get a response back, but this time she didn't. Was he sleeping? Inko knocked again and called his name once more, but she still didn't get a response. She decided to leave him alone. Once she stepped into the kitchen, her eyes widened, and she froze. Sitting on the counter was the snack she prepared for little Izuku hours ago. It was untouched. Inko's heart began to race. She quickly ran back to Izuku's room. This time she knocked louder, hoping that he was just napping and would wake up.
"Izuku, you didn't eat your snack I made you. Are you okay?" asked Inko
Again, there was no response. She was starting to get scared. She grabbed the doorknob and began to turn it.
"Baby, I'm coming in. I want to make sure you're all right," said Inko
She opened the door and discovered that the room wasn't occupied. Inko was trying not to panic. She searched around the apartment for him but couldn't find him anywhere. A new fear dwelled over her. Little Izuku never came from. It was sunset and it was going to be dark soon. Inko quickly got her shoes on and went outside. She searched the entire apartment complex before heading out to the places she knew little Izuku liked. Tears started to form in her eyes.
"IZUKU! IZUKU!" Inko called out
There was still no response. Inko searched little Izuku's school, favorite toy store, and even the park where he likes to play with his friends. There was still no sign of him. Inko grew more terrified by the minute and the sun going down wasn't making it any better.
"IZUKU! BABY WHERE ARE YOU?!" she cried
(Bakugo House 7:27pm)
In this big house dwelled a family of three. Masaru was taking a nap on the couch while Mitsuki was on the phone. She looked concerned as she paced back and forth in the kitchen listening to the conversation on the other end of the line. Little Katsuki was happily playing video games in his room. A few minutes later, Mitsuki walked in and smacked him on the back of the head. Little Katsuki quickly paused his game and rubbed the back of his head.
"WHAT THE HELL MOM?!" he snapped
"Did you bully Izuku today?" asked Mitsuki
"No mom, I didn't. Why?"
"I just got off the phone with Izuku's mother. She's very upset because Izuku never returned home."
"Wait what?!"
"I want to know what you did after school!"
"I went to the park with my friends to play. You know that!"
"Don't get smart! I want to know what you did at the park!"
"WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS BLAMING ME?!"
"BECAUSE YOU'RE ALWAYS GUILTY AND DON'T YOU RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!"
"Hey, what's with all the yelling?" asked Masaru walking in rubbing his eye
"SHUT UP DAD! OW!" shouted little Katsuki
"DON'T TALK TO YOUR FATHER LIKE THAT!" Mitsuki shouted back
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" yelled Masaru
Little Katsuki and Mitsuki stared at Masaru. They seemed a little surprised by his yelling. He's quiet most of the time and hardly ever yells. After a few minutes, things have calmed down and Masaru suggested that they discuss the matter in the living room. Once Mitsuki filled her husband in on what was going on, he was shocked.
"Katsuki, are you sure you didn't do anything to upset Izuku today?" asked Masaru
"For the millionth time, yes!" he replied
"Katsuki, you're mean to him a lot of the time even when you show off your quirk," said Mitsuki
"I swear mom, I didn't do anything!" he protested
"Well then tell us what you did at the park today."
"After school, I met up with my friends and we started walking to the park. Deku, I mean Izuku eventually caught up with us and walked with us. When we got to the park, we all played on the playground, played some ball, played on the swings, and a game of cops vs. robbers."
"Did you make Izuku a robber?"
"No, he and the others were cops. They wanted to be cops. I wanted to be the robber."
"Did you use your quirk?"
"No, I didn't."
"What else happened?"
"When it was getting late, I said goodbye to my friends, got my stuff, and came home. That's what happened."
"Did Izuku leave with you?"
"No, but I remember he was still on the playground talking to these big kids."
"What big kids?"
"I don't know. I've never seen them before, but that was the last time I saw Izuku."
Mitsuki nodded and let out a sigh. The room went silent for a few moments. Suddenly Little Katsuki stood up.
"If Deku… I mean Izuku is missing we should go out and look for him," he said
"I was starting to think the same thing," said Masaru
"I'm going to call Inko back and then we'll go out and search for him," said Mitsuki
(Midoriya Apartment 8:32pm)
Outside the front door, the sound of sobbing can be heard inside along with the sound of muffled voices. The crying continued when suddenly the front door burst open, and a giant flood of water came out along with Inko and the authorities. Thankfully the stair rail caught them from going over and falling. It took a moment for everyone to stand on their feet again.
"Madam, please calm down," said one of the officers
"How can I calm down when my baby is out there all alone?" sobbed Inko
"Are you certain he was at the park today?" asked another officer
"Yes, even a friend of mine called and confirmed that her son played with him today," Inko replied
Suddenly another officer appeared and approached the others. They talked amongst themselves for a few moments before nodding. One of them then turned towards Inko.
"Mrs. Midoriya our special help has finally arrived. Would you mind bringing us something that belongs to Izuku?" he asked
"May I ask why?" she asked
"It's going to help us with our search."
Inko went inside and came back out with one of Izuku's favorite toys. The officer took it and approached a mysterious figure. He held it out and the mysterious figure took it. She was staring at the toy for a while, as if she was studying it.
"Does this belong to the missing boy?" asked the mysterious figure
"Yes," replied the officer
The mysterious figure then turned towards Inko and started approaching her. She felt a little nervous until the mysterious figure placed her hand on Inko's shoulder.
"Please don't worry. I'll find your little boy," said the mysterious figure
"Who are you?" asked Inko
"I'm Half-breed, one of the Pro Heroes. I'm going to help you."
"How are you going to find Izuku?"
"Just watch."
Half-breed placed the toy on the road and stood a few feet away from it. She got on her hands & knees and gazed straight ahead. Inko watched as Half-breed began to transform. The first thing that appeared was her claws, fangs, and then white fur covered her entire body. Inko stared wide eyed as Half-breed grew bigger. She now looked like a giant wolf like creature. Once Half-breed's transformation was complete, she stepped toward the toy and began to sniff it. After a few moments, she began to sniff the air and walked around. Half-breed's eyes widened as she looked in one direction. She sniffed the air again.
"I got his scent. He seems pretty far from here," said Half-breed
"Oh God, my baby was kidnapped!" cried Inko
"Hey, we don't know that. If he is in danger, I'll save him. I should be back by morning."
Everyone watched as Half-breed took off into the distance and disappeared. Inko wasn't sure how to feel. It terrified her to learn that her son was far from home, but she was also glad that Half-breed was going to track little Izuku down and save him. Inko bent down and picked up little Izuku's toy. She hugged it at as more tears streamed down her face.
"Don't worry Mrs. Midoriya. Half-breed will be back with your son in no time. Why don't you go back inside and wait for their return?" suggested an officer
"How can I do that when my baby is lost out there? I don't even know what happened to him. He must be so scared, and I know he's starving," she cried
"It's going to be all right. You'll see."
(Fuji City 10:36pm)
After hours of running and avoiding busy streets, Half-breed finally made it to Fuji City and was getting close to little Izuku's location. She stopped to take a breather for a few moments. She was trying to come up with a plan, just in case the situation did turn out to be a kidnapping. Half-breed knew she had to be extremely cautious since she didn't know what she was going to walk into. After thinking for a few minutes, Half-breed sniffed the air again and caught Izuku's scent. This time though, his scent seemed to have moved. Quickly, she sprinted into the direction of the scent. Half-breed was getting worried. About seven minutes later, the scent led her into in alleyway. She heard the sounds of growling and a child crying. Half-breed leapt to the rooftop to oversee the alleyway. Sure enough, she found little Izuku cornered by two big stray dogs. They were snarling and growling at him, getting closer.
"Please go away!" cried little Izuku
Suddenly, Half-breed jumped from the rooftop and landed in between the stray dogs and little Izuku. She bared her fangs at them, but they didn't seem intimidated. They barked and snarled back.
"You want to fight? Fine, let's fight!" growled Half-breed
The two dogs tackled Half-breed to the ground, and they all tumbled around. Little Izuku quickly ducked behind a trashcan and watched the fight. Half-breed smacked one of the dogs off and grabbed the other one with her jaws. She tossed the other dog against the wall. The dogs got back up and charged at Half-breed again, but she scratched one of them with her big paw and head butted the other one. Half-breed then let out a roar which terrified the stray dogs. They began to run, and Half-breed gave chase, biting at their heels. The stray dogs ran off quickly yelping.
"Yeah, you better run!" snarled Half-breed
She went back into the alleyway for little Izuku. She spotted him by the trashcan. He looked terrified.
"Are you okay Izuku?" asked Half-breed
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" asked Izuku
"I'm Half-breed and it's okay; I'm one of the good guys."
"Are you a Pro Hero?"
"Yes I am."
"Wow. I've never seen a wolf pro before."
"I'm a wolf saber actually."
"Oh."
"Are you hurt at all?"
"No. I just got some scratches."
Little Izuku stayed where he was. He still looked scared. Half-breed transformed back to her normal form. Little Izuku was amazed.
"Don't be afraid. It's safe to come out now," said Half-breed holding out her hand
"Okay," said little Izuku
He slowly emerged from his hiding spot and took Half-breed's hand. Little Izuku then hugged her which caught her by surprise. She could fell him tremble.
"I'm scared, hungry, and I don't know where I'm at," said Izuku
"You're in Fuji City," said Half-breed
"How did I wind up in Fuji City?"
"That's what I'd like to know. Come on, let's get something to eat and you can tell me what happened."
Little Izuku nodded and took Half-breed's hand. They walked out of the alleyway and towards food stands. Once they got their food, they found a place to sit that was away from others. Little Izuku was eating quickly. He really was hungry.
"Don't eat too fast or you'll get a stomachache," warned Half-breed
"Sorry," replied Izuku
"Now, why don't you tell me what happened today."
"It's a long story."
"I've got time. Please tell."
*Flashback to earlier that day*
(Little Izuku's POV)
It was starting to get late. I watched Kacchan go retrieve his things. I was about to head over when these big kids I've never seen before approached me.
"Hey kid, want to play with us?" one of them asked
"I would, but it's getting late," I replied
"Oh, come on, just for a little while. What's your name?" asked another
"I'm Izuku Midoriya," I said
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Daichi and this is Eichi," he said
"Let's just play for a little bit," said Eichi
"Okay," I said
I knew it was getting late, but I figured playing a little while longer wouldn't do any harm. We played on the swings, went down the slides, and even played a game of tag. A while later, Daichi and Eichi lead me to the monkey bars.
"This is where we have our secret club," said Eichi
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah, and only special members are allowed in," said Daichi
"Cool! How do I become a member?" I asked
"You get in by showing us your quirk," said Eichi
I suddenly froze. As they climbed onto the monkey bars, I stayed put.
"What's the matter Izuku?" asked Daichi
"Yeah, just show us your quirk and you can join us," said Eichi
"I… I don't have a quirk," I said quietly
"What was that? We couldn't hear you," said Daichi
"I don't have a quirk!"
"What! You don't have a quirk?"
"I was just born without one, but I really want to become a hero."
Daichi and Eichi came down from the monkey bars and approached me. Their facial expressions changed, and it gave me a funny feeling.
"Sorry Izuku, but you can't join our club," said Eichi
"Now hold on. It's not his fault he was born without a quirk; however, the rules still stand. Just because you can't join our club doesn't mean we still can't play," said Daichi
"You guys still want to play with me?" I asked
"Of course, and I know the perfect game."
"What game?"
"It's called Heroes vs. Villains. Guess what Izuku, you get to be the hero."
"Really, I get to be the hero? My friends never let me be the hero."
"Yes, and we'll be the villains."
Suddenly Daichi and Eichi revealed their quirks and started approaching me. My smile started to disappear. I didn't like where this was going.
"What are you waiting for hero? Come and stop us!" said Eichi
"Hey, I don't have a quirk remember!" I said nervously
"Well, you have a problem then, don't you hero?" teased Daichi
"Get him!" said Eichi
I turned around and began to run. I could hear Daichi and Eichi laughing as they ran right behind me. They tried to hit me with their quirks, but thankfully they kept missing. I darted out of the park and down the road. They were still behind me. I had no idea where I was going, and I didn't care. I just wanted to get away from them.
"Where are you going Izuku? I thought we were having fun," shouted Daichi
"Wait up Izuku, we want to walk you home!" shouted Eichi
It didn't take long for them to catch up to me. They pushed me and cornered me against a wall.
"Let us show you how we treat those that are quirkless," said Daichi
They used their quirks to push me around, hit me, and knock me to the ground. Daichi and Eichi grabbed me, dragged me down an alleyway, picked me up, and threw me in a trashcan.
"Quirkless people like you belong in the trash," said Daichi
"Especially when you still want to become a hero," said Eichi
They laughed as they walked away. Once they were out of sight, I climbed out of the trashcan. I brushed off all the garbage. Tears formed in my eyes, but I wiped them away. I really thought I made new friends when they turned out to be bullies. I sighed as I made my way out of the alleyway. All I cared about was getting home, but when I looked around, I didn't recognize the area. How long was I running from those bullies? I picked a path and walked it. I had hoped I come to a familiar street. The sun was beginning to set, and I still didn't know where I was. I soon heard the sound of crowds in the distance. That meant a busy street. I hurried into the busy street and looked around. There were crowds of people and tons of shops, but none of them looked familiar.
Suddenly, I got caught in a sea of people. They were crossing the street. I knew I wasn't allowed to cross the street without my mom, but I was stuck and trying to get out of this crowd. I continued to struggle to get free, but it was no use. The sea of people ended up boarding a train. I began to panic. Once the crowd was still, I started making my way through them and towards the train doors when they suddenly closed. The train started to move. Oh great, I was trapped on a train, and I had no idea where it was going. The next stop, I was going to get off. As I stood there watching things pass by, I started to feel hungry, and I started to think about my mom. She must be worried about me, and I hate worrying her.
"Please don't worry mom. I'm coming home soon," I thought to myself
After a while, I started to get bored. I looked around and spotted an empty seat next to the doors. I climbed up onto the seat and sat down. I might as well sit down and wait. I looked around at the crowd of people. Some were talking on their phones, others talked to each other, and some just stood there not saying anything at all. I started to feel sleepy. I yawned and then shook my head. I can't fall asleep now! I have to stay awake so I can get off at the next stop. I was doing my best to stay awake, but my eyes grew heavier and heavier. I decided to shut my eyes and just take a quick nap. I'm not sure how long I was asleep for, but when I woke up there were hardly any people on the train and it was dark outside. My eyes grew wide.
"Oh no, I slept too long!" I thought
The train started to slow down and enter a station. I stood up and looked at the doors. Once those doors opened, I rushed out. I looked around and everything was still unfamiliar. Now I'm lost and I have no idea how to get back home. I was getting scared, but I started shaking off the fear.
"What would All Might do?" I asked myself
I looked around and saw lights in the distance. It looked like an area where people shopped and browsed around. If I go there, I might be able to find a phone and call home. Knowing my mom, she's extremely worried at this point and probably called the cops. As I was walking, I heard a noise. I wasn't sure what it was, but I kept walking until I heard it again.
"Hello?" I said out loud
There was silence. I kept looking in the direction where the sound was coming from.
"Is anyone there?" I asked
Suddenly two stray dogs appeared, and they didn't look friendly. I stayed still, hoping they would go away. The stray dogs began to growl and started walking towards me slowly.
"Nice doggies," I said nervously
The dogs began to bare their fangs and snarl at me. I don't know why, but my feet began to run. I could hear the dogs behind me. This was really bad. First the bullies and now stray dogs! I ran as fast as I could, unsure of where I was going. I dashed into an alleyway but wound up at a dead end. The dogs followed me and approached me barking and snarling. I didn't know what to do. I was scared and felt fear overtake me. Tears began to form in my eyes.
"Please go away!" I cried
Suddenly, a white wolf like creature jumped down from above and stood in front of me. I didn't know what to think until it started fighting the dogs. I looked around and spotted a trashcan. I decided to hide behind it as the fight went on. It didn't take long for the fight to end. I heard the dogs yelping and running away. I knew it was over.
(End of Flashback)
"And that's what happened," said little Izuku
Half-breed couldn't believe what he went through. She placed her hand on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry you went through all that," she said
"If only I had a quirk, I probably wouldn't have been bullied today. Am I really trash?" asked little Izuku
"No, you're not. People that are born without quirks are not trash. Don't let what those bullies say get to you."
"I know I'm quirkless, but I still want to become a hero."
"Sometimes a great hero can be quirkless."
"Huh?"
"You can be a hero without a quirk."
"What are you talking about?"
"Izuku I'm going to let you in on a secret, but you have to promise not to tell anyone."
"I promise."
Half-breed stood up and then sighed. Her tail swayed back and forth.
"This story isn't easy for me to tell, but you deserve to know. Just like you Izuku, I was also born without a quirk," she said
"What! But you're able to transform into that wolf saber," he said surprised
"I know, but this transformation I have isn't a quirk at all. This was forced onto me."
"I don't understand."
*Flashback 17 years ago*
(Half-breed's POV)
Way back then, things were simple. I lived in a small village that dwelled within the wilderness. I had my mother, father, and big brother. None of us had quirks, in fact, everyone in the village was quirkless. That never bothered any of us and we were happy with our way of life. Unfortunately, that happiness didn't last. I woke up one night to my mother screaming. I then noticed the smell of smoke. Our home was on fire. My big brother approached me and took my hand.
"Zen, get Nina out of here right now!" my father told him
Zen nodded and started guiding me to safety as quickly as he could. I looked behind me and saw my parents following. We coughed as we went through the smoke. Soon, Zen and I made it out of our burning home. When we got outside, we were shocked to see other homes ablaze and everyone in a panic. Some were trying to put out the fires and others were running around trying to find safety. I looked back at our home and my eyes widened. My parents were still inside. It looked like my dad was trying to help my mom.
"You can't go back in there Nina!" Zen said when I tried to run back
"Mom and dad are still inside!" I shouted
"I know that! Just give me a minute to think."
"I'm not waiting!"
I pulled away from Zen and started running back towards our home. He chased after me. Before I could reach the front entrance, the rooftop collapsed. I ended up falling backwards as tears streamed down my face. Zen stood there in shock.
"MOMMY! DADDY!" I cried out
"OH GOD NO!" Zen cried
Suddenly, Zen and I ended up getting separated by others that were running past us. Everything was happening so fast, I somehow wound up in the middle of the road and fell to the ground. I looked around until I noticed something in the distance. My eyes widened as this mysterious figure emerged from the smoke. It wasn't a human, but some kind of creature. Our eyes locked and I was too scared to move. He moved his arm out from under his cloak, revealing his claws. They were glowing blue. This creature then charged at me. I was finally able to move, but it was too late. I felt a great pain slash across my back. I fell to the ground screaming and crying.
"Don't move little girl or you'll make it worse!" the creature warned
I was surprised that this creature could talk. The creature continued to approach me, and I was terrified. I didn't know what was going to happen to me. Suddenly, a burning tree fell in between me and the creature.
"NO!" the creature cried out
I saw the opportunity to escape. I forced myself to move and I ran as fast as I could into the forest. I didn't stop until I fell to my knees from exhaustion. I turned around and saw the fire's glow in the distance. I didn't know what to think or do. I then caught a glimpse of my reflection in the water. My eyes widened as I stared at my appearance. It changed! I had fangs, claws, and a tail. I touched my face and all around. I was hoping that it was all a bad dream and that I would wake up from it.
It wasn't long till a bunch of eyes were staring at me from the distance. I was scared at first, thinking it was the creature that attacked me from earlier. It wasn't, but a bunch of other creatures. Some looked like wolves and others looked mysterious. These creatures that I've come face to face with were called "cryptids." One of the wolf-like cryptids approached me and gave me a sniff. Even though I was scared, they didn't seem vicious. I suddenly got a lick from the wolf like cryptid. After a few minutes of interacting with it, the creature picked me up gently and carried me. These cryptids took me in as one of their own and I was named "Half-breed."
(End of Flashback)
"Well, now you know why I'm like this. I'm half human, half cryptid," said Half-breed
"What happened to the creature that attacked you?" asked little Izuku
"I don't know. I never saw it again after that."
"What about your brother?"
"I never saw Zen again either. I don't know what happened to him, but I've been searching for him for a long time. The cryptids that took me in also helped me look for him. I just hope that he's still alive and living a normal life safe somewhere."
"Does anyone else know your secret?"
"It's just you and All Might. Everyone else thinks my cryptid form is a quirk."
"You know All Might?!"
"Yes, and if it wasn't for him, I'd never would have become a Pro."
"Wait, now you have to tell me how you became a Pro!"
Half-breed let out a chuckle and ruffled little Izuku's hair.
"That's a story for another time. Just remember not to tell anyone my secret Izuku," she said
"I promise I won't," he replied
"Alright kiddo, let's get you home. Your mother is worried sick about you. She thinks you were kidnapped."
"But I wasn't. I just got lost."
"She'll be happy to see you. Now get ready to climb aboard."
"Huh?"
Half-breed began to transform into her cryptid form. Little Izuku was amazed by her transformation. When she finished completely transforming, she knelt down next to little Izuku.
"Climb on my back," said Half-breed
Little Izuku did as he was told. He liked how soft Half-breed's fur was. She slowly stood up and instructed little Izuku to hold on tight. Half-breed then took off into the distance. This surprised little Izuku at first, but he held on and was enjoying the ride.
(Midoriya's Apartment Complex 5:36am)
Inko had remained outside, still waiting for little Izuku to come home. Two officers stayed with her and one of them brought her a blanket. They had tried to convince her many times to wait inside, but she refused. All she could do was wait and pray.
Meanwhile about a block away, Half-breed landed on the road after leaping from a rooftop. Little Izuku was tired, and he had a hard time staying awake.
"Hey kiddo, do you know where we are?" asked Half-breed
"Yeah, this is my neighborhood. I'm almost home," little Izuku replied
"Why don't we walk the rest of the way?"
"Okay."
Half-breed helped little Izuku down and she changed back to her normal form. She then took little Izuku's hand, and they walked together. As they got closer little Izuku looked up at Half-breed.
"Half-breed, can I ask you something?" he asked
"Sure kiddo. What's up?" she replied
"Do you think I can become a hero like you?"
They stopped walking and Half-breed looked down at him. She smiled and ruffled his hair again.
"Anything is possible kiddo. If I can become a hero without a quirk, so can you," she said
"You really think so?" asked little Izuku
"I know so. Just remember what I told you okay?"
"Okay."
Half-breed knelt down and gave little Izuku a hug. She got back up and they started walking again. A few minutes later, they walked around the corner and were finally back at the apartment complex. They saw Inko with the two police officers, but they haven't noticed them yet. Little Izuku's face lit up when he saw his mother. Tears began to form in his eyes.
"Go to her," said Half-breed
"MOMMY!" shouted little Izuku
Inko looked over and saw little Izuku running towards her. A smile spread across her face as tears formed in her eyes. She began running towards him.
"IZUKU!" Inko cried out
"MOMMY!" he cried out
Inko fell to her knees as they both embraced each other. Half-breed watched as they hugged and cried together. She smiled at their happy reunion. Inko started covering little Izuku with kisses.
"Oh my baby! I'm so glad you're all right," she cried
Little Izuku didn't respond. He was too busy crying and clinging to his mother. The officers approached Half-breed.
"Good job bringing him back," one of them said
"What took you so long?" asked the other
"Sorry about that. I got him something to eat and I had to find out what happened to him," said Half-breed
The officers nodded, but one of them requested for Half-breed to make a report of the incident. As Half-breed was leaving with one of the officers, the other stayed behind to speak with little Izuku.
(8:15am)
Half-breed stretched and yawned as she left the police station. Her work was finally done. She was just glad that little Izuku was back with his mother. As she walked home, she couldn't help but think about little Izuku's question.
"Do you think I can become a hero like you?" his question echoed in her mind
Half-breed smiled as she looked at her reflection in the window she was passing by.
"Someday kiddo, you'll be a great hero," Half-breed thought to herself
THE END
Whoa, I didn't expect this one-shot story to be that long, but I hoped you enjoyed it. Just to prevent any confusion, Nina the Halfbreed is an OC character I created years ago in The Secret Saturdays fandom. Even though that series ended long ago (which was great by the way), I started to think that I should have my OC character jump to other universes. Nina the Halfbreed's back story is the same, but the only new thing I added was her older brother Zen (just a new idea I thought of I may or may not keep). Anyways, I hope you liked it. I'll be posting new stories and chapters to existing stories soon. See ya!
