Poseidon rushed through the halls of his underwater Palace in Atlantis Yelling, "Amphitrite! Amphitrite! Where are you woman?" Rage and fear was in his eyes, the seas storms and earthquakes were responding but he didn't care all he cared about at the moment was finding Amphitrite or triton.

He had been a fool. He should not have ignored Sally's cry for help but he was in a council session so he couldn't just flash away, but he knew he could have at least sent a part of himself to save Percy. Yet he didn't, fearing Zues would catch on and strike Sally and Percy down both like he had done to Hades' lover and children.

As Poseidon neared the throne room he couldn't help but think how that meeting had went.

Flashback

Poseidon was listening to Athena's long winded explanation on why she felt that her cabin needed expanding if they agreed to expand the Hermes cabin. How it would be wise to expand all cabins except his for lack of use. He would admit that he saw no reason to expand his or his brother's but he would not let the insult fly and pointed out if his wasn't then neither should Zues's or Hera's. It was then Hades said he should have a cabin by Hermes voicemail on his cadus since he wasn't allowed on Olympus just to cause problems. As Hermes pointed out the flaw in camp Half-blood's design. Something Athena took great offense at as she was the one to do so. He watched the resigned face of Chiron; he brought the request up every yearly camp meeting and this always happened ending in the cabin .

When he felt it Sally call for help he could feel it causing him to stiffen. It was then he felt each of his siblings stiffen in turn as Sally prayed to each no doubt repeating her plea. Zues growled out,"You broke your oath brother." Poseidon wasn't proud to admit it but he was relieved when Apollo cried out in pain because it brought Zues's focus away from his son. Though the words out of Apollo's mouth had his heart full of dread "Children of the sea a curse they both bear. Immortal made to live the mortal hero's fate. The other immortal gargoyle who lives by the rising of the moon and who is but stone by day. By the mother scorned shall the Titans rise. By children of sea working with war and wisdom shall they fall. Wisdom's choice cursed blade reaps the hero's soul shall they fall." The council then was in a uproar.

Flashback end

It took time and calling of the three fates and an explanation from Atropos on how they guided fate, but the wiggle room to make mortals and demigods immortal and monsters like Athena did with Medusa was involved that plans, threats, and oaths were made. Zeus grudgly spared Triton and Percy as they were key to making sure the Titans fell. Poseidon finally burst into the Throne room where stood Amphitrite arms crossed a cruel smirk on her face. She greeted him with a cold, "husband."

Poseidon knew then he was too late and that Amphitrite was the one to cause the rippling effect that altered the great prophecy but pleading asked hoping it wasn't so, "You didn't curse Percy did you love-"

He didn't even get the chance to finish as Amphitrite bit out, "You dare mention that spawn again and I will make sure he is smited for the next decade seeing how he is a monster now I can be quite creative in ways of making him suffer.

Amphitrite pov

Amphitrite watched as the dark rage Poseidon held back finally broke through as he summoned his trident with a beastly rage he created a massive hurricane and violent earthquake out onto the mortal realm shouting, "Do you know what you have done you have cursed not only Percy but Triton as well he now has to walk Percy's fate. the Titans will rise because I didn't protect Sally from your anger. I know because this came directly from Apollo's mouth the great prophecy has changed and now the ones who are at the front of it all is my sons. The only bright side is now you have to worry along with me and feel just how restrictive the ancient laws are when it comes to demigods seeing their immortal parents as punishment enough."

Amphitrite felt her ichor drain from her face upon hearing that the curse Sally cast was indeed real. Then wept her emotions adding to the storms Posiedon had sent out sending several more boats to a watery grave.Poseidon flashed out to go move his spawn somewhere safe saying that they would make arrangements for Triton.

Poseidon pov

When he returned Triton had been placed in the same hospital and he would be picked up by the demigod legacy of his wife that still believed in the gods due to being clear sighted a bit of mist manipulation by hectare he believed Triton was his now deceased wife's son who had been stillborn the few days prior. Percy with the mist making the mortals believe that Percy had been picked up by his paternal grandfather and placed in a foster home on grounds of past neglect and he couldn't locate him. when his mother had died from cancer like her uncle that no one knew she had. He sighed sitting back in his throne. While he was angry with Amphitrite he couldn't fault her she had put up with his affairs for so long but Sally was different she had made him want to be mortal and it was starting to happen too and that was something Amphitrite couldn't stand that a mortal could capture his heart so. He just hoped that the future would be brighter than what it seemed.
