Chapter 2: Intense Passion
Edward lay on his side watching the sleeping Bella in the early morning. She happened to be on her back. He had his head propped up by his elbow. The sheet covered their bodies from the chest down. He watched her chest rise and fall with every breath. She stirred in her sleep, but she did not wake up. She smacked her lips.
He pressed his lips together and smiled when she yawned. They made love one more time before she fell asleep with her back pressed against his body around ten-forty. "At least we can watch annoying characters fall into cracks caused by earthquakes in cartoons," Edward commented.
She chuckled in a soft way. "Yeah. It's funny when that happens, especially in Looney Tunes. I have loved Looney Tunes for as long as I can remember. I have no doubt you remember every one of their shorts."
"I do," Edward admitted. "I have seen every single Looney Tunes short in theaters."
"Nice," Bella said in much sweetness.
"Looney-tuney!" Edward blurted out and spoke gibberish.
"I am loonier than you are," Bella said with a smirk.
He laughed sarcastically. "Sure, you are."
He growled playfully and reached down to pinch her butt. He gave it another pinch, this one being somewhat harder. She smacked him on the chest. She took her head off it to look at him.
"Keep your hands to yourself, pervert," Bella warned while shaking her finger at her boyfriend.
"Okay," Edward said and pinched her butt. He laughed before speaking gibberish. "I guess my hand forgot."
"I mean it. Do not pinch my butt again," Bella growled in much playfulness. "I am serious."
"How about I pinch your nose instead?" Edward said, giving her nose a gentle pinch. "Is that better?"
"Yes," Bella whispered in relief. She tapped the tip of his nose with her finger before cupping his chin in her hand. "Just don't pinch it too much. You will pull it off if you do."
"Duly noted," Edward responded and flicked her nose. "Oh, yes."
She blew a raspberry. "You're weird."
He smirked. "So are you."
Bella kissed Edward in much tenderness. She rubbed noses with him before pressing her forehead to his. They stayed this way for twenty seconds before they pulled away.
"Sometimes, I wonder how I got so lucky to have a vampire as my boyfriend," Bella said.
"Sometimes, I wonder how I got so lucky to have a human as my girlfriend," Edward replied, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I have a huge advantage over the other girls. My boyfriend can cool me off on hot days," Bella squealed in delight.
"That is true. I am so glad," Edward said, kissing her cheek.
"I am glad that you are glad," Bella squealed while tracing circles into his chest.
"I am glad that you are—never mind," Edward said, giving a shrug and touching his neck.
"It gets confusing after a while, huh?" Bella commented as she wiggled her eyebrows.
"Yes, it does," Edward agreed.
"Great," Bella said softly and swallowed hard. "In fact, I am up for a little loving right now."
"I am too," Edward said with a fierce growl. He took hold of her head with both hands. His breathing was slow yet steady. "Here we go."
Edward kissed Bella passionately. Their tongues touched, causing them to groan loudly. He turned their bodies until he was on top of her and in between her legs. They slid their hands everywhere. They groped different parts of their bodies. Their tongues wrestled for control. Her heartrate sped up as electricity surged through their bodies.
