Ceija let her legs swing off the wagon, kicking them back and forth. She'd also pulled out a silver coin, and was flipping it, over and over again.

Harry would normally have concluded she didn't want to be disturbed, and left it at that.

Only - she had the very peculiar openness that suggested a willingness to listen. Harry wasn't used to such openness - and from the looks of it, Draco Malfoy wasn't either.

"It's very odd, isn't it?" Draco Malfoy said, his feet banging against the metal of the truck, "That this conveyance purrs as it goes? Do you suppose it's happy to be in motion?"

Ceija turned to Harry, and said, "Your gadjo friend is quite new to all this, isn't he?"

Harry turned a bright smile to Ceija and said, "He doesn't get out a lot, no."

"It's a pretty small hamlet, if he's never ridden a lorry before." Ceija said, "Although you could certainly find far worse places for a rumspringa than a Travelling caravan." Ceija grinned.

Harry abruptly wanted to kick Draco, who opened his mouth despite this (due to obvious lack of psychic connection), and asked, "What's a rumspringa?"

Ceija ignored the question, turning to Harry, and asking, "What I don't understand is why you wanted him to be the snake charmer? After all, it's you who talks to snakes."

Both harry and Draco paused, suddenly directing piercing glares at Ceija, as if they could see straight through her. "What?" Draco asked, and harry continued, "How do you know that?"

"Why are all men third eye blind?" Ceija said, still looking down at the coin she was flipping, "I've been lost in the valley of nightmares; I've been found in the garden of dreams."

"Are you... a DreamWalker?" Harry asked, his voice quiet and confused. Draco remained quiet, and just listened. He had the terrible feeling that something had gone wrong.

"No," Ceija said, "There's a reason my band wasn't concerned with me bringing you back."

Draco sat up, straight, "You knew - you knew no one was looking for us."

Ceija looked at Draco carefully, and said, "That's not what I said. No one would mind us taking you. That still stands."

Harry asked, more urgently this time, "How do you know all this?"

Ceija said, smoothly, "I'm a seer. Sometimes I just know things, other times, I see visions."

Draco Malfoy got a hunted look on his face, "You're ... you're muggle, yes?"

Ceija nodded, slowly, "As much as any seer, I suppose."

"And yet you understand the word," Harry said.

"There hasn't been a witch born to our band in centuries." Ceija said, wearily, "Many seers, though. I'm just the latest."

Harry said, softly, "You won't tell?"

Ceija said, "Course not! Where would the fun in that be?" Ceija crossed her arms, "Now, why did you let Draco here be the snakecharmer?"

Draco tried not to startle at the use of his first name. Sands! Ceija was crazy.

Harry spoke up slowly, "I'm used to hard work. He isn't."

Draco Malfoy looked at Ceija, and asked, "Is there some way you can get us disguises?"

Ceija said, "Sure!"
