Perseus12: Thanks.
Guest: Drake didn't really kill Mundus, but he defeated him. It's like how Dante defeated Mundus in the first game, but he didn't kill Mundus... I think. I haven't played or completed the first game to understand that bit. And Natsu shouldn't be underestimated, strong as Drake is, I doubt he can just one-punch Natsu, plus that would get some negative backlash from other readers.
Warning! Lemon in this chapter!
Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or Fairy Tail. I only own the OC Drake Redgrave.
There are few things in the world that annoy Drake.
After being a part of such a lively and crazy guild like Fairy Tail, one tends to build up a pretty good tolerance for all the crazy things that go on throughout it. But for Drake, certain things have happened that have annoyed him, and he made sure to mentally list the stuff that annoyed him.
Natsu and Gray brawling with each other and causing him to get a headache, which usually leads to him having to stop the two from fighting when Erza wasn't around to do it as she usually did.
Another thing that annoyed him was someone hitting on Mirajane, but he made sure to step in and put those fools in their place. it's like all of Fiore just can't accept that the lovely Mirajane is actually dating someone.
Another thing that annoyed him was when someone interrupted his sleep, interrupted him eating his favourite food, breaking and entering his apartment without permission, Natsu challenging him to a fight nearly every day, but at least he dimmed it down to twice a week. But there's one thing that really annoyed Drake to the point he wanted to bash someone's head in but settled for slaying demons...
And that's when he takes a job only to find out someone else took care of the problem.
"You're telling me... that someone else took out the demons?" Drake asked with narrowed eyes as he glared at the mayor of the small village that had been getting plagued by demons. Drake had taken the job to go handle it since demon slaying was his main job and profession, and the Wizards at Fairy Tail knew fully well not to get in the way of what he was best at, or else he'd kick their asses.
"W-Well you see sir, the d-demons that have been plaguing us have been destroyed this morning, just before you arrived actually." The man said as sweat began to build on his brow at the murderous aura around Drake.
Drake sighed, barely keeping his annoyance in check as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "For fuck's sake." He muttered to himself with a shake of his head before dragging his hand down his face. The trip here was for nothing... he hated having his time wasted. It was bad enough that he took the job after just coming back to the Guild from a mission with Natsu and Lucy, which involved stealing a book for some guy and Natsu refusing to accept payment much to Lucy and Drake's annoyance.
"I-If it helps, we c-can still pay you the su-" The Mayor began before Drake held a hand up, silencing the man instantly.
"No." he said in a curt tone "I don't take payments for jobs I didn't do. Do you know who it was that dealt with your infestation?"
He was not going to pick a fight... Erza will kill him if she finds out he purposely picked a fight with someone again like he's done a few times in the past five years, but at least Drake wasn't as bad as Natsu and Gray when they pick fights with someone or each other. Drake just hoped to the gods or whatever deity there was that it wasn't someone from the Blue Pegasus Guild, last thing he needed to deal with was some pretty boy who had stolen his job from him.
"I-I uh, didn't get a name, but they're still h-here." The Mayor said with a pale face as Drake seemed to loom over him.
"Where?" Drake demanded.
"The bakery." The Mayor flinched and cowered before Drake as if he was Zeref's second coming, ready to bring untold death and destruction that was described in the legend of the Dark knight Sparda against the demons 2,000 years ago.
"Thank you." Drake said before he turned and walked off, coat billowing as he did so and started looking for the bakery. There was only a total of twenty buildings making up the min part of the settlement and most of those were small one-story houses, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a place that was selling pastry goods. All he had to do is keep his nose out for something good cooking in an oven.
After asking for directions, Drake found the bakery and made his way towards it, pausing when he saw a giant horn sitting outside the bakery. Drake tilted his head as he looked the horn over. It was a giant horn, so it most likely belonged to a giant monster. The question is... who slayed it and took its horn as a trophy?
Drake shook his head and stormed right up to the doors of the bakery and pushed them open, causing them to make a loud bang when they opened wide and drawing the attention of all the customers inside to him. Drake's eyes narrowed as he looked for someone that fit the image of a Wizard, someone who could defeat demons and take the horn of a monster.
"Okay, who here slayed some demons because I was going to do that?!" Drake demanded to know.
"That would've been me... is that a problem, Drake?"
For the briefest moments, Drake swore his heartbeat stopped dead cold and all the blood in his face vanished as he recognized the voice echo through the small room.
Erza Scarlet.
Arguably the most powerful woman in all of Fairy Tail.
Drake slowly turned his head towards the source of the voice and saw the red headed beauty, dressed in her custom made Heart Kruez armor, blue skirt, black knee high boots, sitting at a corner table with a small plate of strawberry cheesecake before her. She had a look that looked to be a cross between annoyed and angry as her gaze bore into Drake's. Apparently, she was in the midst of enjoying her sugary treat when he loudly barged in and began demanding answers.
"Erza!" In the blink of an eye, Drake was sitting across from her with a grin on his face. "Nice to see you here, wasn't actually expecting to meet you on the road. Should've guessed the monster horn belonged to you."
"The monster it belonged to terrorized a village and I took care of it. The people were so grateful they let me keep the horn as a reward." Erza said with a frown as she gave him a stern look that barely fazed him. "Now I'll ask again. Do you have a problem with me killing those demons?"
"No." Drake chuckled, causing Erza to raise a perfectly shaped eyebrow at him. "But... I was going to handle those demons, it's kinda why I'm here since I'm a demon hunter and all that."
"Oh." In a second, Erza's annoyed and stern expression broke away to surprise. "I apologize. I know you once made it clear demon exterminator jobs were for you to handle."
"It's okay, you didn't know I was taking it since you were coming back to the Guild yourself." Drake said with a smile that Erza returned.
"Perhaps we can speak with the mayor and have him compensate-"
"I'm good." Drake said with a shake of his head. "The pay was low anyway and I need enough to open my business."
"Still on about that I see." Erza said with a small smile before she resumed eating her cake. "Would you like some as well? It's quite tasty"
"I'm fine, thank you." Drake replied with a wave of his hand..
After a few minutes of eating, Erza pushed her plate aside and rested her chin on her interwoven fingers. Her gaze bore into Drake's like the sun as they sat there in silence.
"You cut your hair." She stated more than asked. The last time they saw each other, Drake's hair was long enough that bangs covered his eyes.
"Yeah, got tired of having hair flicker in my face so I asked Mira to cut it for me." Drake said as he ran a finger through his hair. "She did good work."
"Good, it looks better short." Erza said with a nod, as if the matter had been resolved before she noticed something, and her eyes narrowed. "Elbows off the table. It's rude."
Drake grumbled as he just crossed his arms across his chest. he then sighed and began to stand. "Well, see you back at the Guild-"
"I was hoping you'd keep me company on the way back to the Guild. We don't spend nearly enough time around each other despite how often our social circles intersect." Erza interrupted Drake.
Drake almost sighed. Well, least his earlier annoyance had faed away, though he was still a bit miffed someone had taken his job from him. But having some company on the way back to the Guild shouldn't be so bad, especially when it's Erza.
"Better finish your cake, cause I ain't waiting." Drake said with a cheeky grin as he left. Erza just sighed in some annoyance. Drake was the only one, aside from Mirajane and Makarov, to not be scared of her mere presence. He seemed to not care about how intimidating she can be, though he did face demons so perhaps that had something to do with it.
Fighting monsters straight from nightmares was way more scarier than an intimidating woman in Drake's opinion...
"What's been happening at the Guild?" Erza inquired as she and Drake walked down a road in the forest, Erza carrying the large monster horn.
"Not much." Drake shrugged. "Got a new member who ran into Natsu, her name's Lucy."
"Lucy?" Erza said with a raised brow.
"Yeah, turns out she's a Celestial Mage." Drake said with a nod.
Erza hummed at this before a small, amused grin grew on her face. "So, I take it that Loke will be leaving her alone."
"I doubt he's even noticed, probably will when he tries flirting with her." Drake said with an equally amused smirk.
Erza chuckled. "So, how are things between you and Mirajane?"
"The usual, going good." Drake said with a smile. "Hard to believe it's been a year now since we started dating."
"Time flies by quick." Erza nodded.
The two walked in silence after that. As they did, Erza was taking this time to study Drake out of the corner of her eye. She still felt a little bad that she had taken his job out from under him, even if it was unknowingly, she knew it was a bother to him. Drake made it very clear demon hunting jobs were for him and him alone.
'Perhaps I'll make it up to him later and take him with me on a job to make up for the sixty thousand I cost him... assuming Mira lets him come with me.' Erza thought with a frown.
She had no idea why Mirajane was so bothered by the idea of her being around Drake. The former Demon made it sound like that Erza was going to swoop in and snatch her boyfriend up like some of the main characters of her novels would do with another character's romantic interest.
I have far too much respect for Mirajane and Drake to do such a heinous thing to them.' Erza thought as her gaze flickered back towards Drake's form, specifically the muscular body he had.
She knew he was strong, stronger than maybe even her, but they've proved to be on equal ground in past spars. In the past five years she's known him, Erza has seen Drake lift things that normal people would kill themselves attempting, and Drake would lift it like it was a rock. She knew it was because he was half-demon and the son of the legendary Dark Knight himself. A small part of her wondered if he's ever used that strength against Mira, to assert dominance over her when they were being intimate. A blush began to slowly form on Erza's face as she imagined Drake holding her arms down and over her head while he laid on top of her, his bare chest against her breasts, his cock hard and throbbing against her inner thigh as his lips made their way to her throat-
'Get a hold of yourself!' Erza scolded herself with a frown 'He's the boyfriend of your best friend. You shouldn't be imagining him in a scene from one of your novels like you're a starved bitch in heat!'
Drake frowned as he suddenly felt whatever tension in the air thicken greatly. It kept him silent, and he merely stuck his hands in his coat pockets as he and Erza continued making their way to the Guild...
At the Fairy Tail guild hall, the guild was just as rowdy as always. Lucy was trying to find a job while Natsu and Gray were about to pick a fight with one another. Mirajane even transformed herself into Wakaba's wife just to make him stop flirting with her, which worked.
"Now let's see. What job to pick?" wondered Lucy, "Rent's due next week, so I have to find some money and quick." She then felt a mixture of warm and cold air behind her. She turned around and freaked out because Natsu and Gray were about to fight.
"You're going down flame brain!" proclaimed Gray.
"Says you, popsicle!" retorted Natsu. They both were glowing auras and glared ferociously at one another. Before Natsu and Gray could throw any real punches Loke dashed right into the guild, all sweaty and troubled. Everyone looked at him to see what was going on.
"You guys! Terrible news! Erza's back!" This made everyone in the guild either shudder or scream.
"NO! Not Erza!" Someone cried out.
"Gah! Erza?!" Natsu and Gray exclaimed in unison, which then resorted to them glaring at one another for saying the same thing.
They all then heard footsteps coming. Natsu and Gray and everyone else just sweated in fear. Erza then entered the guild with the giant horn with a fierce and highly regarded demeanour in her eyes as she slammed the horn down which caused the guild members to shake in fear.
"I have returned. Where is Master Makarov?" Erza asked, glancing around at the now-silent wizards, slightly irritated that no one was answering her question.
Mirajane's warm inviting smile seemed to falter for a brief moment when she noticed Drake entered with Erza and quickly realized that they two were alone for God knows how long before she took a step forward. "Hello Erza, welcome back. The Master's at a conference with the other Guild Masters right now."
Erza nodded at this, though a little annoyed that Drake didn't tell her "I see..."
"Hey, I left before he did and I didn't know he was away to a Guild Conference, so don't blame me." Drake held his hands up in surrender as he walked away to the bar, giving Mira a peck on the lips.
"So um, what's that thing you've got?" asked a member named Max.
"It's the horn of a monster that I defeated. The locals were so thankful that they decorated it and gave it to me as a trophy," she said before giving him a sharp glare. "Do you have a problem with that?"
"N-No! Not at all!" Max shuddered, along with everyone else at his table.
Then Erza turned back to the guild and placed her hands on her hips and glared at several members. "Now listen up, guys. I've heard you've been causing trouble again and this guild's been getting rowdy lately. Master Makarov may not care, but I do. This guild needs to get its priorities straight." And then she started to reprimand some of the members. Starting with Cana. "Cana!" The brunette was startled. "You need to start controlling your drinking!" She then turned to another member that was always dancing. "Vijeeter! Please take the dancing outside!" Then to Wakaba. "Wakaba! Get rid of that filthy habit! Nab! Are you still hanging around the request board? Just pick a job already! Macao! I'll let you off easy this time, but just because I got a good word from a certain someone." She said. "Also, there's a serious matter at hand. Normally, I would consult with the Master, but seeing that he's not here, I have no other option but to take action and act upon myself. Where's Natsu and Gray?"
Natsu and Gray then were hugging each other like they were brothers. They were both just terrified of her, so they had to be nice to each other to evade discipline.
"Right here Erza! Being the greatest friend that I can be!" Gray smiled wide.
"Aye!" Natsu said in agreement.
"What's with those two?! They're acting way different than what they were a minute ago!" Lucy exclaimed. Very quietly, Mira explained that Erza beat up Natsu a few years ago along with Gray for his stripping habit. Ever since then, the two have been afraid of her.
"It's nice to see you two getting along, although even the greatest of friends lock horns every now and again." Erza said.
'Try always.' Lucy thought.
"Listen you two. This is very important. I could really use your help." Erza's need for help shocked everyone. Some even exclaimed that was inconceivable. "Meet me tomorrow at the station tomorrow morning. Don't be late. Drake, I could use your help for this as well."
"Sure." Drake shrugged as he leaned back on the bar.
Mirajane narrowed her eyes as she realized Drake would be with Erza, but Natsu and Gray would also be there so that should prevent anything... 'heated' from happening thanks to Erza, though she doubted it since Gray and Natsu always get into a fight.
'Maybe I should make sure I'm the only woman he needs to think about...' Mirajane thought with a grin.
"Ah, home sweet home." Drake said with a smile as he came up to his home. today hadn't gone the way he wanted it. He wanted it to go with him taking on some demons, slay them and look good while doing it, get paid, come back, eat and drink, take Mira out for a night, go back to his place and finish the night off with sex.
Drake looked at his place, which was a mix of the business shop he was planning on opening, with the bedroom and living areas upstairs. the bottom would be his business stuff, upstairs would be his sleeping stuff. Simple, yet he liked it. So did Mirajane.
"Drake?!"
Drake blinked at the call of his name and looked to see see Lucy at the door of the small two-story apartment house that sat next to his own apartment complex.
"Lucy?" Drake said with obvious surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"I live here." Lucy said, pointing towards the apartment behind her. "What are you doing here?"
"I live there." Drake pointed to the large building next door.
"You do?" Lucy said with obvious surprise. "Wow..."
"Yeah, talk about coincidence." Drake said with a nod. "This is my place mixed with the shop I'm planning on starting. One that deals in demon hunting jobs."
"That's cool." Lucy said with a smile. "Do you have a name for it yet?"
"Nope, nor do I have the money yet to get it started, but I'm nearly there." Drake said with a smirk. "If you ever think of a good name, you tell me, okay?"
"Sure." Lucy nodded. "So, what's your place like?"
"Well, the bottom's gonna be the office part for my business, the upstairs is a three-master sized bedroom apartment with two full sized bathrooms, a full state of the art kitchen and living room area that can also double as a home theater along with a dining room."
Lucy's jaw had dropped at his words. "W-Wow, that's a pretty good place you got then. Wish I had that."
Drake shrugged before turning to head inside. "Well, you ever need anything, let me know. Also, make sure every entrance into your place is locked tightly, doors, windows, whatever there is."
Lucy quirked a brow at this "Uh, why?"
"Natsu." Was the only reply the Demon Hunter gave.
Lucy gave a saddened sigh. "Too late. He broke in before the three of us took that job with the book."
Drake gave her a sympathetic expression. "If he gets out of hand, which i doubt but I mean destructive, then tell Erza and she'll set him straight."
"I'll keep that in mind." Lucy said with a grateful smile as she pulled her key out and used it to unlock the door before pushing it open with the tip of her boot "Hey, if you ever need anything too, you know where to find me!"
Drake nodded towards the blonde as she entered the building before closing it behind her. Drake then entered his own place and closed the door with his forehead leaning on it.
"Hello lover~" A familiar voice purred, causing him to turn around and see Mirajane sitting on the stairs that led up to the apartment part of the building, a seductive grin on her face.
"Hey Mira, when did you get here?" Drake asked his girlfriend as he took off his coat and threw it without looking, the coat landing on a coat rack and hanging perfectly.
"Can't a girl visit her beloved boyfriend after a hard day's work?" Mira asked cutely as she lifted a leg up and crossed it over her other at the knee, hiking her dress up a little and causing more of her near legendary thighs to be exposed for his eyes to see.
Drake felt his mouth watering at the sight of Mira's flesh before he shook his head to try and clear the thought of having them wrapped around his hips as he penetrated her with-
"Oh my, someone's happy to see me/" Mira giggled as she raised her leg and pointed her foot at the slowly growing bulge in Drake's pants.
"Can you blame me?" Drake asked with a grin. "My sexy girlfriend is practically flashing me. I'd be stupid to not get a hard on from seeing your sexy legs cross like that and gets certain thoughts in my head."
Mirajane hummed as she stood and came down the steps and seemed to glide across the room and wrap her arms around Drake's chest and bury her face in between his shoulder blades. "you're going to be away from me tomorrow."
"it's only a job, Mira." Drake said with a fond roll of his eyes as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Besides, I hope there's a good pay involved in this... whatever it is that Erza needs me, Natsu and Gray to handle with her."
Mirajane hummed again as her hands roamed his chest before they reached down to his pants and began undoing the belt enough so she could slide her hands underneath the fabric and grip him through his boxers. Drake tensed at Mira's firm grip on his member before he could take it anymore and turned towards the lusty barmaid and drew her into a heated kiss. Mira let out a very erotic moan as she felt Drake's tongue pillage her mouth while she continued to squeeze his cock with one hand while her other reached for the man's ants and began to push them down. Within seconds, Drake's pants, along with his boxers were down by his knees, exposing his cock.
"Mmm, so big baby..." Mira cooed as she broke her and Drake's kiss and looked down to see her third favourite part of him out and in the open. She greedily licked her lips as she slowly fell to her knees and gripped Drake with both her hands. "Fuck I love seeing this so hard because of me. Don't you, honey? Do like getting all hard because of me?"
Drake nodded, causing Mira to laugh before she leaned forward and gave Drake's dick a nice long lick that went from midway to his pelvis and all the way back to his tip. Mira giggled at the groan Drake emitted as she repeated the process several times, drenching his cock in her saliva while her hands spread it further by jacking him off. Once she was certain she's licked every inch of his magnificent meat, she began to take him into her mouth and suck on his hardened appendage.
Mira proceeded to grip the base of his cock with one hand while the other began to fondle with his balls. She gave him a saucy wink as she took him into her mouth and gave him a nice hard suck that caused his knees to shake before she let him go and slapped his tip on her extended tongue before giving it another kiss then she reached up to the clasp for her dress and undid it, allowing it to fall down to her waist and expose her full, firm tits. Without another word Mirajane seized Drake's cock and brought the throbbing flesh into her mouth and began to suck. Drake let out a hiss as he reached up and placed his hands on Mirajane's head, causing the white-haired woman to moan as she increased the intensity of her sucking. Drake could feel his cock twitching, eager to blow its load into the kneeling beauty's mouth before him.
Take a deep breath, Drake tightened his grip on Mirajane's head, forcing her to stop her sucking and look up at him with curiosity in her eyes as her tongue lavished the underside of the portion of his dick that was still in her mouth. Drake looked down at her with a grin as he pulled back until only his tip remained in Mira's mouth before he thrusted forward, bringing her face up to his pelvis while his cock reaches the back of Mira's throat.
'Holy fuck!' Mira thought as she struggled to not gag in repose to Drake thrusting the entirety of his penis into her mouth.
She's rarely deepthroated him, mainly because his size made it a bit uncomfortable and the sensation of not being able to breath didn't get her off like it does some other women. How a woman could stay horny or get even hornier when they're on the verge of passing out from lack of air was beyond her.
'I bet Erza would get off on it.' Mira thought with her eyes narrowing in annoyance though to Drake it looked like she was simply closing them in delight.
She's seen and read some of the novels that Erza has, though to call them books was an insult to literature in Mira's opinion. They seemed to be written like some sort of porn script for one of those softcore or hardcore late-night shows that Elfman doesn't think Mira knows he watches. The very thought of her Drake doing such things with Erza caused her to almost grit her teeth in anger before she remembered that her lover was inside her mouth. She'd rather not kill the mood, and hurt her loving Drake, because of that damned armored slut!
"Oh Mira, you've hurt poor Drake!" imaginary Erza said with mock shock before she gave the barmaid a grin. "Don't worry Mira, I'll take much better care of him than you could!"
Mira let out a growl at the thought before another image, this time of Cana, appeared.
"Biting a man's dick while you're sucking him off Mira? Cold, so cold. But don't worry, I'll give his little owie a nice long kiss to make it feel so much better!"
"THE HELL YOU WILL!" Mira suddenly shouted with a choked cough as she pushed Drake back against the wall, much to his surprise before she was suddenly pressed up against him with a dark grin that caused him to shiver. "Fuck me. now!"
In a second, Mira was pressed against the wall tits first while Drake entered her from behind and began to thrust while slapping her ass cheeks...
They say that the more you fight, the closer you'll become...but that was one thing that didn't apply to Natsu and Gray.
"I hate this! Teaming up with you is the worst idea ever!" Natsu exclaimed, fuming.
"Yeah, tell me about it. Erza made a huge mistake inviting a loser like you!" Gray shot back.
Natsu and Gray were causing a big ruckus in the train station. People were coming in and out of the train station, and Fairy Tail usually uses trains for transportation. This was gonna be a bumpy ride.
Lucy was sitting and sighed because of this predicament. "Let's just way we don't know them." Lucy sighed to Happy, who was eating a fish.
"Why'd you tag along in the first place?" Happy asked with a mouthful of fish.
"Because Mira told me to and to keep an eye on Natsu and Gray if they start fighting when Erza's not around." Lucy explained. Natsu and Gray were glaring the other down. Just the slightest twitch could set them off.
"You aren't doing a very good job," Happy commented as the flaming lizard and the icy stripper continued to argue.
"They're hopeless," Lucy said, really wishing that Drake would just get his ass over here to help tame the two.
"Hey, guys! What's up?" said a familiar voice. Lucy sighed in relief to hear that voice, knowing that it was Drake. But when she turned towards him, she was stunned to see him with Erza, pulling the red-haired beauty's massive cart of luggage behind him.
"All those belong to you!?" Lucy exclaimed, gazing wide-eyed at the numerous bags Erza had packed. That's when Natsu and Gray went back to their façade of being good friends in front of Erza.
"It's time to go, good buddy!"
"Aye!"
"Listen, one Happy's enough!" Lucy snapped at them.
"Go. I really like seeing the two of you getting along." Erza said with a smile. Erza then turned her attention to Lucy. "And what was your name? I believe I saw you at the Guild, yesterday."
"That's Lucy, the new member I told you about." Drake said with a yawn. He had been up most of the night pleasing his girlfriend, he wasn't complaining though.
"Mira asked me to come along so I can learn a thing or two," Lucy added. From behind Erza, both Natsu and Gray looked like they were ready to start fighting again. "I hope that's okay."
"The more the merrier. I'm Erza," Erza said to the blonde. "Drake has told me about you." She looked back to check on the two boys butting heads, and when she did, they go back to acting like friends. When she turned back to Lucy, they go back to hating each other and the cycle just repeated itself. "He told me that you defeated a mercenary gorilla using only your pinky. It'll be great to have a wizard like you onboard. Thanks for your help."
"Oh no it's my pleasure," Lucy said, trembling in discomfort. Second thoughts about coming along were starting to well up.
While their conversation was going on, the other two male members of the team stopped fighting and looked at the others. Natsu then turned towards Drake. Then an excited and determined expression spread on his face. "Hey, Erza. I'll come with you only on one condition."
"Shut up!" Gray frantically hold him.
"Oh?" Erza looked at him with curiosity. "And what would that be?"
Natsu then stomped down and got into a fighting stance, pointing at Drake. "When we got back to the guild, I challenge you to a fight, Drake!"
"Oh not again." Drake groaned, this wasn't the first time Natsu has challenged him to a fight. The others stared at the Dragon-Slayer in shock. Drake knew Natsu was not gonna stop until Drake accepted. He let out a sigh before he nodded and gave Natsu a serious expression. "Alright Natsu, you're on, I accept."
Natsu grinned at that while Lucy and Gray looked shocked. Erza just sighed. this wasn't the first time Natsu's wanted a fight with Drake and she knew it won't be the last.
"On three conditions." Drake cut into the excitement with a serious expression on his face. "One: We'll fight only if you and Gray work together throughout the entirety of the mission!"
Natsu didn't say anything while Gray was angered by this. "What kind of condition is that?! There's no way I can work with this-" He was cut off by Erza knocking him on the head. Drake thought again for a moment.
"Two: We fight outside of the guild like we did last time."
Natsu still was looking excited.
"And three: We stop the fight if anyone gets hurt. And when the fight ends, no matter the winner, I'm not going to fight you again. I'm getting tired of these damn fights with you."
Natsu's excitement shifted to one of slight disappointment when he heard that last condition. His brain worked for a moment, before he pointed at Drake. "Hey, that was four things!"
"The last one was a two-parter." Natsu's disappointment returned again. Erza, however, smiled at this. Seeing it as a firm but fair deal. "Will that be enough to satisfy you? If so, then I accept the challenge.
Natsu was quiet for a moment, before perking back up again. "Alright, you got yourself a deal!" Natsu yelled, pumped with enthusiasm, before blowing fire into the air. "I'M ALL FIRED UP NOW!"
"Kill me...please..." Natsu groaned not even two minutes later as the group were on a moving train that was taking them to their destination. Erza and Lucy were sitting in one seat with Happy in the blonde's lap, while the guys sat on the opposite one. Natsu was on the end, Drake was in the middle, and Gray was leaning against the window.
"You've gotta find a way to get over that." Drake said as he shook his head at Natsu.
"I swear you're totally pathetic, Natsu," Gray said in annoyance, showing no sympathy towards the Dragon-Slayer. "One minute you're picking a fight, and then next you're like this."
"It's gotta be tough on him getting from place to place," Lucy said, giving Natsu a sympathetic look.
"Don't worry. He'll be fine. Come here and sit with me," Erza implored, patting the seat between her and Lucy, getting a strange look from the blonde. Drake helped Natsu get up and set him down in the seat. He then sat back down as Natsu began leaning over towards Erza. "Now just relax." Suddenly, Erza punched him in the gut, knocking him out cold, and making him fall over onto her lap.
Drake just shook his head in amusement. The son of Sparda looked at the scarlet-haired woman. "So, what's this all about? What exactly are we on this mission for?"
Erza's expression changed into a serious one. I have reason to believe the Dark Guild Eisenwald is planning something big. I'm not sure what exactly, but it has to do with a magic item called 'Lullaby'," Erza explained to the others, while Natsu was still out cold.
Drake raised an eyebrow. "What's a children's thing got to do with this?"
"Not that kind. Let me explain." Erza said before she began to explain. "Just the other day I was heading home after completing a job. I stopped by a pub in Onibas that I knew was a gathering spot for local wizards."
She went on to tell them of how she overheard a group of men talking about something called Lullaby and that they were looking for it.
"So it's not a song we're talking about?" Lucy asked once Erza was finished, turning to look at the redhaired girl.
"That's right, and the fact that it had been sealed away means that it must be very powerful magic," Erza said, looking down at the floor with a frown. "I can't believe I was such a fool that day. I didn't recognize his name. Erigor, the Ace of Eisenwald. He only accepts assassination requests which is why he's earned the name, 'Erigor the Reaper'."
The nickname sent shivers up the other conscious members' spines. The thought of the number of people, innocent or not, young and old, made Drake's skin crawl. "He's a contract killer...I take it this makes Eisenwald a Dark Guild," he said.
Erza looked at Drake and nodded. "When the council outlawed assassination requests, Eisenwald decided that money was more important than the council's rules. As a result, they were kicked out of their wizard league six years ago. But that didn't stop them. They've disobeyed orders and remained active to this day."
"Did they receive any kind of punishment for their crimes?" Drake asked with a frown.
"They did. Eisenwald's master was arrested and the Guild was ordered to disband themselves Though, most Dark Guilds keep on functioning regardless and ignore the order."
"Okay, I should be heading back home now," Lucy shuddered, sweating a puddle under her butt.
"Lucy's slimy all of a sudden," Happy said.
"It's sweat!" Lucy snapped at him.
Erza pounded Natsu in the gut again, not realizing it as she was too caught up in self-blame. "How could I have been so careless?" She asked in a menacing tone as she gave a dark look. Scaring Lucy. "If only I had recognized Erigor's name that day, I could have pulverized them. I could have forced them to reveal their scheme to me."
"You don't have to beat yourself for it," Drake reassured with a slight smile. His smile however dropped and his serious expression came back. "Now let's just think for a second. Eisenwald is a Dark Guild that killed for money, and most likely for the pleasure. If they're after this Lullaby thing, then it's not too crazy to theorize that it's able to bring about death to anyone they please."
"Yes, you might be right," Erza praised. "That's why we have to do this with caution as we don't know it's full capability."
"So if I got this, Eisenwald's planning to do something with this Lullaby, and you wanna stop them. Because after what you overheard you're sure that it's gonna be something bad."
"That's correct, and I'm not foolish enough to believe that I can take on an entire magical guild all by myself. That's why I asked you guys for your help," Erza admitted. A fierce look in her eyes flared. "We're storming the Eisenwald Guild."
"Sounds like fun to me," Gray said with a smirk. Lucy, however, was sweating a floor, making Happy fly over to Drake's lap.
"Aye!" Happy agreed.
"I shouldn't have come along," Lucy squeaked in fear...
And that's it for this chapter folks.
