This story takes place after my previous story; She's a Great Song and Dance, Charlie Brown. And I wrote this also to give Heather a little character development.

I do not own Peanuts. It is owned by WildBrain, Sony Music and the Schulz family.

Nevertheless, enjoy the story.

Heather and Charlie Brown were walking home while the sun was going down. Heather had her picnic basket in her left hand, and Charlie Brown's left hand in her right. Heather had enjoyed her day out with Charlie Brown, and was ever so grateful for the things he'd done for her since she'd moved into the neighbourhood, and especially for what he did for her the night before. At last, they stopped in front of the Wold house.

"I had a lovely day today, Charlie Brown." Smiled Heather.

And she hugged Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown, feeling the hug, simply blushed.

"Goodbye, Charlie Brown! See you tomorrow!" Said Heather.

And then she kissed Charlie Brown's left cheek, and Charlie Brown blushed redder than her hair, and gave a nervous chuckle. He watched as Heather walked into her house. Charlie Brown, red in the face, walked across the road to his house.

"Wow!" Charlie Brown exclaimed.

Charlie Brown went inside, and there, sitting on her beanbag in front of the TV, was Sally.

"Where have you been, Big Brother?" asked Sally.

"Heaven." Replied Charlie Brown dreamily.

"Heaven?" asked Sally.

"Oh, did I say Heaven? I meant with Heather." Smiled Charlie Brown. "Spending time with her is heaven!"

Heather had gone into her house, and was just about to prepare Fifi's dinner when…..

Mrs. Wold called out.

"Yes, Mom?" asked Heather.

Mrs. Wold explained what she wanted to say.

"You're going to the hospital?" cried Heather.

Mrs. Wold said yes.

"What for?" asked Heather.

Mrs. Wold explained why.

"For real?! I don't believe it! It's happening!" Heather exclaimed.

Mr. Wold asked Heather where she would be staying until her mother got out of the hospital.

"Well, I could stay with Charlie Brown for a while." Suggested Heather.

Mr. Wold agreed to the idea.

So Heather went into her backyard to get Fifi.

"Fifi! Oh Fifi!" called Heather.

"Huh?!" said Fifi.

"Fifi! How would you like to stay at Charlie Brown's for a while?" asked Heather.

"Hmm….." pondered Fifi.

"Snoopy's there." Smiled Heather.

"Yay!" cheered Fifi.

"Great! Come along, Fifi!" smiled Heather.

Charlie Brown was preparing Snoopy's dinner when he heard a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" called Sally.

Sally opened the door and…..

"Big Brother! Your girlfriend's at the door!" called Sally.

"My girlfriend?!" exclaimed Charlie Brown.

"It is!" called Sally.

"Tell her I'll be in the backyard! I'm feeding Snoopy!" said Charlie Brown.

"He's in the backyard. You can meet him there." Said Sally.

As Charlie Brown gave the dog dish to Snoopy, and Snoopy tucked in, he turned around to see…

"H….h….. Heather?!" Charlie Brown stammered. "And Fifi?!"

There was Heather, carrying a pink sleeping bag and a red suitcase, and Fifi was standing beside her.

"Hi, Charlie Brown!" smiled Heather.

"What are you doing here?" asked Charlie Brown.

"My mom's going into hospital," said Heather. "and because my dad is taking her there, I'm staying at your place for a while."

"Well…" blushed Charlie Brown. "be my guest!" and he thought. "I don't believe it! The Little Red-Haired Girl is staying over for a while! Could this be the best night of a blockhead's life?"

"Well, I'd best set up my sleeping bag." Said Heather.

"Very well, Heather. But why is your mother going to hospital?" asked Charlie Brown.

"Oh, I can't say it out here. I'll tell you inside." Said Heather.

"Well, alright, Heather." Said Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown left Snoopy and Fifi outside, and then walked inside.

Heather was inside, waiting for Charlie Brown.

"Now where was I? Oh good grief! I forgot Fifi's doggy dish!" cried Heather.

Heather went out of the Brown house to get the dish. Just at this moment, Charlie Brown went inside.

"Now, Heather, why is your mother…..?" began Charlie Brown, but he was too late. Heather had gone home to get Fifi's dish.

"Good grief!" sighed Charlie Brown.

At this moment, Heather returned with the dish.

"Sorry about that, Charlie Brown." Said Heather. "I had to get Fifi's dish. It's her supper time too."

"Now, about your mother." Charlie Brown said.

"She's in the hospital! You know what that means, don't you, Charlie Brown?" said Heather.

"No. What?" asked Charlie Brown.

"My mother said it'll be a surprise." Said Heather.

"Rats!" muttered Charlie Brown.

At bedtime, as Charlie Brown was hopping into bed, he looked at the sleeping bag on the floor. He looked at the front of the sleeping bag. On the front was a picture of him. and hearts surrounding him.

"Wow! That….. that's such a sweet sleeping bag." Said Charlie Brown.

Just before Charlie Brown could hop into bed, Heather came in wearing a turquoise night gown, but kept her bow in her hair.

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Heather. "Oh, you like my sleeping bag?"

Charlie Brown didn't answer her question. He looked at it dreamily.

"I see you love it, Charlie Brown." Smiled Heather, and then she looked at Charlie Brown's bedside table.

"Oh, you still have that plush doll I made for your birthday!" Heather swooned.

"I sure do. Thanks again for making it for me." said Charlie Brown.

"Anytime, Charlie Brown. Anyway, it's time to hit the hay. Goodnight." Said Heather.

Heather hopped into her sleeping bag, while Charlie Brown got into bed and switched off his bedside lamp.

"If my mom won't tell me why she's in hospital, then only my dad can tell me." Heather thought.

The next morning, the telephone rang. All three Peanuts woke up, and dressed in their outfits. They went to have their breakfast. Heather was about to have her breakfast when the telephone rang.

"Will someone get that?" asked Charlie Brown.

Sally ran towards the phone, and answered it.

"Hello? Linus?" asked Sally.

The person on the phone wasn't Linus, but someone else.

"Now how did you get our number?" asked Sally. "Your daughter's a friend of my big brother? No, I don't know any Heather….. oh. You're talking about the Little Red-Haired Girl! Yes, I'll get her." Then she called to Heather. "Heather! Your daddy's on the phone!"

"Really?" cried Heather.

Heather walked over to the telephone, and Sally handed it to her.

"Hello?" said Heather. "Oh, Hi, Dad! Wait, say that again! I have a baby brother? He was born last night? A baby brother?!"

Heather was so excited that she dropped the phone and danced out of the Browns' house.

"I'm a sister! I'm a big sister!" shouted Heather in excitement.

"Er, Heather? You dropped the phone!" called Sally.

Heather was out of earshot when Sally called her. She was so happy that she was a sister, she had to let the whole neighbourhood know. As Lucy, Linus and Rerun went out to play, Heather ran past them excitedly.

"What's her problem?" asked Lucy.

"I'm a mother!" cried Heather.

"You're a mother?" puzzled Linus.

"No! I mean my mom's a mother! I have a baby brother! I'm a big sister!" cheered Heather.

"You're a big sister?" pondered Lucy.

"Yes!" answered Heather.

"You weren't like this when I was born." Said Linus.

"But were you like this when I was born?" asked Rerun.

"Heather. Don't you know what happens when you become a big sister?" asked Lucy.

"No, but all I know is that I'm not an only child anymore." Smiled Heather.

"I'm surrounded by blockheads!" sighed Lucy.

Sally went outside to see Charlie Brown giving Snoopy and Fifi their breakfasts.

"Big Brother, Heather just left." Said Sally.

"Wha?!" exclaimed Charlie Brown.

"She was so ecstatic to hear what she just heard on the phone." Sally explained.

"Oh good grief!" sighed Charlie Brown.

It wasn't long before Heather had returned to the Browns' place, and into the backyard.

"Charlie Brown! Did you hear me?" asked Heather.

"No. I was too busy feeding your dog and mine." Said Charlie Brown.

"I was told on the phone that I have a baby brother! I'm a sister now!" cheered Heather.

"Oh?!" cried Fifi.

"Huh?!" added Snoopy.

"You what?!" cried Charlie Brown.

"I have a baby brother!" cheered Heather.

"Wow! Congratulations, Heather!" smiled Charlie Brown.

"Thanks, Charlie Brown." Said Heather. "This calls for a celebration!"

Snoopy, hearing Heather's words, whistled for Woodstock and his bird friends.

"Good grief!" sighed Heather.

Fifi was intrigued by Snoopy having little bird friends to help out. Snoopy told the birds in his own words that Heather has a baby brother, and that they're going to do something to congratulate her on not just winning the talent show the night before, but also for becoming a sister.

"Now what is he doing?" Heather asked.

"If I know Snoopy, and I've known him ever since I adopted him from Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, he's planning some sort of party." Said Charlie Brown.

"Oh!" Heather said.

"I'll tell everyone the great news." Smiled Charlie Brown.

"You'll do that for me, Charlie Brown?" said Heather.

"Of course! Anything for a beautiful Little Red-Haired Girl like you." smiled Charlie Brown.

"Thanks, Charlie Brown!" giggled Heather.

At noon, the entire party was ready. Heather stood in Charlie Brown's backyard, waiting for Charlie Brown and the whole neighbourhood to come to the Browns' backyard. Sally came out to wait along with Heather, Snoopy, Woodstock, Fifi, and Snoopy's bird friends.

"Where's my big brother, Heather?" asked Sally.

"He's rounding up some friends to congratulate me." said Heather.

"I heard he was like this when I was born." Said Sally.

Just then, the telephone rang. Heather and Sally could hear it from outside.

"Sally, I'll get it this time. You wait out here for your brother and his friends." Said Heather.

"Okay." Said Sally.

Heather went inside and answered the telephone.

"Hello?" said Heather.

It turned out to be her father.

"I can pay a visit? When? Later? Oh, I'm having a party at Charlie Brown's place. Maybe I can come after the party. Great. See you then."

Heather went back outside and waited with Sally.

"That was my dad. He wants me to meet my little baby brother later." Said Heather.

At last, Charlie Brown had returned with Linus, Rerun, and Lucy.

"Wow! A baby brother? That's amazing!" said Linus.

"Great work becoming a big sister!" said Rerun.

"Thanks, Linus. Thanks, Rerun." Said Heather.

Lucy didn't like that her brothers were congratulating a girl on becoming a big sister, considering she's a big sister herself, and wanted a little sister instead of little brothers.

"Good grief! My little brothers actually congratulating someone for getting a little brother? I'm surrounded by blockheads!" Lucy exclaimed.

The next person to arrive was Schroeder, and he had his piano with him.

"Hey, Heather! Congratulations!" Said Schroeder.

"Thanks, Schroeder. Congratulations to you too." Said Heather.

"No, Heather. I'm congratulating you on becoming a sister." Said Schroeder.

"Oh yeah. Thank you." said Heather.

"Anyway, Heather. Is your brother in Ace Hospital?" asked Schroeder.

"No. Why?" asked Heather.

"You see, if he was born there, he would've received all nine Beethoven Symphonies free." Said Schroeder.

"Oh, good grief." Sighed Heather.

The next people to come were Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Franklin.

"Hiya, Heather! Congrats!" cried Peppermint Patty.

"Thanks, Patty. It was all thanks to Mimi and Schroeder that I won that talent show." Said Heather.

"Actually, Heather. Peppermint Patty was congratulating you on becoming a sister." Said Marcie.

"Oh! Thanks!" said Heather.

"Too bad I can't get any siblings." Sighed Peppermint Patty.

"That's too bad, Patty." Said Heather.

"Thanks, Heather. And speaking of that performance, it made me realise something." Said Peppermint Patty.

"What's that?" asked Heather.

"That song of yours made me think about why Chuck would rather be with you than a sporty girl like me." said Peppermint Patty.

"What she means is you can have Charles, Heather. I know he'll never fall for a bespectacled girl like me." sighed Marcie.

"Aw, thanks, girls. Come join the fun. Plenty of food." Said Heather.

"Hey, Heather! Great work!" said Franklin.

"Thanks, Franklin." Said Heather. "I'm sure being a big sister will be terrific, contrary to what Lucy believes."

"Great to hear!" said Franklin.

The next person to come to the Browns' place was…..

"Janice!" cried Heather.

"Hello, Heather. Charlie Brown told me. Congrats!" said Janice.

"Thanks, Janice." Smiled Heather.

"Just how long is your mother gonna be in hospital for?" asked Janice.

"Don't know." Said Heather.

"Because I've been in hospital for half a year during my chemotherapy." Said Janice.

"That's different, Janice." Said Heather. "You had cancer. My mother's had a baby."

"Oh." Said Janice.

"Anyway, join the party, Janice." Said Heather.

As Janice walked into the party, there was….

"Linus!" cried Janice.

"J…. Janice!" replied Linus.

Linus and Janice ran to each other and hugged.

"Janice! What are you doing here?" asked Linus.

"Charlie Brown told me to come here and congratulate Heather." Said Janice.

"Heather told me about it as soon as she saw me this morning." Said Linus.

"I hope Heather enjoys being a sister. I remember my sisters being jealous during my treatment." Sighed Janice.

"I know. Because I brought you a present at Christmas and they vented their jealousy. They didn't mean that awful stuff they said about you." Linus explained.

"I know, Linus. I know." Smiled Janice.

The next two people to arrive were Violet Gray and Patty Swanson.

"Hi, Violet! Hi, Patty!" said Heather.

"Hey, Heather!" said Violet. "Heard you got a baby brother. Good for you."

"Er…. Thanks, Violet." Said Heather.

"Good work, Heather." Smiled Patty.

"I never get new babies at my house." Sighed Violet.

"That's too bad, Violet." Said Heather with some sympathy.

"This new brother of yours might do more for you, Heather." Said Patty.

Then, the telephone rang. Heather left the guests outside to answer it.

"Hello?" Heather said.

It was Heather's dad.

"Dad? Yeah. How does 5 o'clock sound? Great. Can I bring some friends? Just three? And I know just who to bring. Have you decided on a name? That's great! See you then." Said Heather as she hung up, and went back outside.

"Charlie Brown! Oh, Charlie Brown!" called Heather.

"Oh. Hi, Heather." Said Charlie Brown.

"I just got a call from my dad," said Heather. "and he said I can bring three friends to the hospital to see my baby brother."

"That's wonderful, Heather!" smiled Charlie Brown.

"Let's see….." pondered Heather. "I'll bring you, and I'll bring Linus. But who else shall I bring with me?"

"Pick me, Heather! I wanna go with my sweet babboo!" called Sally.

"I am NOT your sweet babboo!" shouted Linus.

"Since she's been in hospital….. Janice." Said Heather.

"Me?" cried Janice. "You want me to come see your brother? Oh, Heather. Since you helped me with raising money for cancer patients, I would love to go with you."

"Great. We'll leave at 5." Said Heather.

"Good grief!" sighed Sally.

"That's okay, Sally." Smiled Heather. "You'll meet him when he comes out of the hospital."

Snoopy heard about Heather going to the hospital to meet her newborn brother, and thought up an idea. Knowing his sister Belle has been a nurse multiple times, Snoopy went into his doghouse, and came out as the World-Famous Surgeon. Fifi looked on, and was intrigued by Snoopy being a surgeon. Fifi went into Snoopy's doghouse, and before Snoopy knew it, she was a surgeon. Charlie Brown looked on at his dog and Heather's dog.

"Good grief!" sighed Charlie Brown. "Why can't Heather have a normal dog like everyone but me?"

"Come on, Chuck!" called Peppermint Patty. "Heather's giving us each a chocolate!"

"Enough for everyone, Charles!" smiled Marcie.

"Hmmmm… alright then!" said Charlie Brown.

Everyone surrounded Heather, who was so happy to be a sister, she handed out chocolates to everyone. Everyone enjoyed their chocolate. Charlie Brown was about to get one when…..

"Good grief! None left for me?" sighed Charlie Brown.

Heather looked at Charlie Brown and gave him a cute wink. And she pulled out the remaining chocolate for him.

"For me? Thank you!" smiled Charlie Brown.

Later that afternoon, and everyone had gone home, Heather was waiting outside for Charlie Brown. It was time for her to go and meet her brother.

"Are you ready, Charlie Brown?" asked Heather.

"Just coming!" called Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown had passed Sally, who was sitting in the beanbag, watching television.

"Where are you going, Big Brother?" asked Sally.

"To see the Little Red-Haired Girl's baby brother in the hospital." Said Charlie Brown.

"Very well, Big Brother." Said Sally. "Since my sweet babboo is going with you, tell him I said hi."

"But he said he's not your sweet babboo." Said Charlie Brown.

"What does he know?" scoffed Sally.

So Charlie Brown and Heather walked together, Heather holding Charlie Brown's right hand with her left. Charlie Brown looked and blushed. As they'd reached the Van Pelt place, Heather knocked on the door, and who should answer it but…..

"Lucy?!" exclaimed Charlie Brown.

"Oh great! Linus! Your friends are here!" called Lucy.

"What's her problem?" asked Heather.

Linus came down and saw Heather and Charlie Brown.

"Hi, Heather! Hi, Charlie Brown!" cried Linus.

"Hi, Linus." Said Charlie Brown.

"Ready to see my little brother?" asked Heather.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Said Linus.

"Great! Let's go!" smiled Heather.

Their next stop was at the Emmons place. Heather knocked at the door and who should answer but Janice.

"Hi, Janice!" Said Heather.

"Hi, Heather. Hi, Linus. Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Janice.

"Ready to see my little brother, Janice?" asked Heather excitedly.

"I sure am. Let's go." Said Janice.

While the four Peanuts were walking together, they walked into Peppermint Patty, who was carrying a green sleeping bag and a suitcase.

"Chuck! Linus! Heather! Janice!" Peppermint Patty called out.

"Oh! Hey, Peppermint Patty!" said Heather.

"What are you doing out?" asked Charlie Brown.

"My dad's out of town for a week," said Peppermint Patty. "so I'm going to spend the week at Marcie's. Where are you four off to?"

"We're going to meet my new baby brother." Said Heather.

"Cool! Can I come?" asked Peppermint Patty.

"Sorry, Patty." Said Heather. "My parents said I can only bring three friends to see my brother."

"That's a shame." Said Peppermint Patty. "Oh well, enjoy yourselves. And tell your folks I said hi."

"Sure thing!" replied Heather.

As Peppermint Patty arrived at Marcie's place, she knocked on the door. Marcie opened it up.

"Sir! What a pleasant surprise!" cried Marcie.

"Hi, Marcie!" said Peppermint Patty. "My dad's out of town for a week. You wouldn't mind me staying a while, would you?"

"Not at all, Sir. Come on in." said Marcie.

"Great! Thanks, Marcie." Said Peppermint Patty.

"Anything for you, Sir." Smiled Marcie.

"Er, Marcie? For as long as I'm here, how about I call you 'Sir'?" suggested Peppermint Patty.

"Hmm…. Makes for a nice change, Sir." Said Marcie.

"Good grief!" sighed Peppermint Patty.

"So, Heather. Have your parents decided on what to name the baby?" asked Janice.

"They're going to call him Henry." Said Heather.

"Henry Wold. Good old Henry Wold." Charlie Brown said to himself.

"Henry? That's a nice name." said Janice.

"Can't wait to see this baby." Smiled Linus.

"I wonder what he looks like?" Charlie Brown wondered.

"I wonder too." Heather added.

As soon as they had reached the hospital, Heather walked up to the receptionist.

"Mrs. Wold, please." Said Heather.

The receptionist explained where to go.

"Maternity Ward? Fifth floor? Room 510? Thanks, Ma'am." Said Heather.

As they were about to find Heather's mother, past them walked some short surgeons. Of course, these were just Snoopy and Fifi.

"There goes the World-Famous Surgeon." Sighed Charlie Brown.

"And the World-Famous Nurse." Added Heather.

The four Peanuts reached the elevator, since it was the easiest way for them to reach Heather's mother and baby Henry.

"I like riding in elevators. Reminds me of the swings." Smiled Janice.

"Elevators are awesome." Said Heather. "What do you think of elevators, Charlie Brown?"

"They have their ups and downs." Smiled Charlie Brown.

Heather and Janice, hearing Charlie Brown's answer, laughed heartily.

"You're so funny, Charlie Brown!" Heather giggled.

At last, the elevator stopped at the 5th Floor.

"Now, the receptionist said to go to Room 510." Heather said.

The four Peanuts walked up the hall, and as they found Room 510, Heather knocked on the door.

Mrs. Wold called for the visitors to come into her room.

Heather pushed the door gently, and quietly, the four kids walked into the room, and…..

"Hi, Mom! Brought some friends to see my little brother." Said Heather.

Mrs. Wold explained when Heather's brother was born.

"He was born at quarter past nine last night? That's when we went to bed. I knew Dad had to wait until morning to phone me." smiled Heather.

Mrs. Wold explained where the baby was.

"You have him…. Oh!" Said Heather.

Heather turned around and saw the bassinet. Inside was a little baby, with a little red tuft of hair on his head.

"Oh! He's so cute!" Heather exclaimed softly. "The cutest thing!"

Heather walked up closer to the bassinet to get a closer look at her newborn brother.

"Hello, Henry." Heather said silently to her brother.

Henry opened his eyes wide, and noticed his big sister.

"I'm your sister Heather." Smiled the Little Red-Haired Girl.

Heather turned to Janice, Linus and Charlie Brown.

"Come over, guys." Said Heather. "Come see my little brother while his eyes are open."

Janice, Linus, and Charlie Brown walked over to the bassinet carefully and saw the Little Red-Haired Baby.

"These are my friends; Janice Emmons, Linus van Pelt, and my closest, Good Old Charlie Brown." Smiled Heather.

"He's so cute. Aw, red hair! His hair kind of reminds me of yours." Charlie Brown smiled.

"Well, he is my little brother after all, Charlie Brown." Said Heather.

"He's wonderful." Said Linus.

"He's perfect." Heather said.

Soon, visiting hours were over.

Mrs. Wold told Heather and her friends it was time for them to go.

"Oh. Alright then." Said Heather. "Thanks for letting us visit. See you, Mom." She then turned to Charlie Brown, Linus and Janice. "Come on. Let's go."

As the four Peanuts walked out of the hospital, Janice spoke.

"Henry's so cute, Heather. Having a hair curl. Kind of reminds me of my little sister Britney." Said Janice.

"Good to see you like your little brother, Heather." Said Charlie Brown.

"Like him? I love him! He's perfect! The perfect sibling for a Little Red-Haired Girl like me!" Heather exclaimed quietly.

They'd at last reached the Brown place.

"Well, it was nice of you to invite me to see your brother, Heather." Said Janice.

"Glad you like him, Janice. He's so perfect! If you'd like, you can stay here a while." Said Heather.

"I'd like to, Heather, but since tomorrow's a school day, I have to go home." Said Janice.

"Er, Heather? Why are you staying at Charlie Brown's place?" asked Linus.

"I asked my parents if I could stay over here until my mother's out of the hospital, and they approved." Said Heather.

"That's nice. Well, goodbye, Heather. Goodbye, Charlie Brown See you at school tomorrow." Said Linus. Then he turned to Janice. "Come on, Janice. I'll walk you home."

"Thanks, Linus." Smiled Janice.

As Heather and Charlie Brown went into the Brown place, Linus walked Janice home.

"It was nice of Heather to let us visit her little brother, wasn't it, Linus?" said Janice.

"It sure was. Henry sure looks cute." Smiled Linus.

"And it's nice of you to walk me home." Added Janice.

At last, Linus and Janice had reached the Emmons place.

"Thanks for walking me home, Linus. Goodbye." Said Janice.

Just before she could enter her household, Janice kissed Linus' right cheek. Linus' hair went upright, and then, he proceeded to blush redder than his shirt.

"See you at school." Said Janice as she went into her home.

Linus walked home, red in the face. He'd returned home, and unsurprisingly, there was Lucy.

"You took your time, Little Brother!" grouched Lucy.

"You should've seen Heather's little brother. His hair is red, just like my shirt." Said Linus.

Lucy crossed her arms and harrumphed.

When it was bedtime, Charlie Brown had hopped into bed, and saw Heather in her sleeping bag.

"So what do you think of my little brother, Charlie Brown?" asked Heather.

"So adorable. A Little Red-Haired Boy living across the street from me." smiled Charlie Brown.

"Little Red…." Heather pondered. "Oh yeah. Well, goodnight, Charlie Brown. We need to be energised for school tomorrow."

"Goodnight, Heather." Said Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown turned off his lamp, and both he and Heather went to sleep.

The next day, Sally and Charlie Brown, along with Heather, Fifi and Snoopy, waited at the bus stop to go to school.

"It's all the same every Monday to Friday. Having to wait for the school bus!" grouched Sally.

"Good grief! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!" sighed Heather.

"Sally's always like this." Groaned Charlie Brown.

Along came Linus and Janice, and they were waiting for the bus too.

"Did you enjoy yourself at the hospital yesterday, Janice?" asked Linus.

"Indeed I did! Henry looks so cute, Linus!" smiled Janice.

As Janice had said this, the bus arrived. Snoopy was the first to step in. But as he'd gotten on, the bus driver kicked him off. Then, Fifi stepped on, but like with Snoopy, the bus driver kicked her off. Heather walked over to Fifi.

"Sorry, Fifi. You can't go with me. Dogs aren't allowed on the school bus." Said Heather.

Sally heard what Heather had told her dog, and gave a devilish yet innocent…..

"Bark." Sally said innocently.

Charlie Brown, not wanting to fall for Sally's dog talk, grabbed her hand, and pulled her on the bus. Linus, Heather and Janice saw all this, and one at a time, stepped on. Charlie Brown sat at the very back seat, and Heather followed suit. Because Linus and Janice sat together, Sally had to sit next to her big brother. Sally just crossed her arms, while Charlie Brown and Heather looked at each other, with smiles on their faces.

At school, during class time, it was time for a little session called "What happened on the weekend".

Mrs. Donovan told the students this.

"Aw!" everyone groaned.

Mrs. Donovan asked who would like to go first.

"Oh! I'll go first!" said Heather, and she walked to the front of the classroom, because she had a lot to talk about.

"What happened to me on the weekend?" Heather began. "Well, one of the most exciting things happened to me. After my sweet picnic with Charlie Brown….."

Charlie Brown, hearing this, blushed.

"Aw…. She mentioned me!" Charlie Brown sighed dreamily.

"Er….. as I was saying….." Heather continued. "when I got home, my mother said she had to go to the hospital, so I decided to stay with Charlie Brown for a while."

"Really? Stay with that blockhead?" Lucy cried.

Mrs. Donovan told Lucy off.

"Thank you, Mrs. Donovan." Said Heather. "The next morning, I got a call, and my dad told me I've become a sister. Charlie Brown threw a party to congratulate me on becoming a sibling, and afterward, I went to see my little brother."

Mrs. Donovan wanted to know the name of Heather's brother.

"His name? They decided to name him Henry. Henry Wold. This, along with my victory at the talent show, made this the best weekend of my life. Thank you." Heather finished.

Heather went to take her seat. She sat right next to Charlie Brown after agreeing to be his desk partner.

Mrs. Donovan asked everyone else about the weekend.

"We were invited to Charlie Brown's place." Everyone called.

Mrs. Donovan decided that would do.

It was home time, and as Heather walked with Charlie Brown, she had an idea.

"I guess we could pay another visit to my mother, Charlie Brown." Suggested Heather.

"That's a great idea." Said Charlie Brown.

But as Charlie Brown and Heather had reached the hospital….

"Mrs. Wold, please." Said Heather.

The receptionist told Heather that her mother had been discharged from the hospital.

"She's been discharged today? Good grief! That was a short stay in the hospital!" cried Heather.

"Maybe they've gone home, Heather." Suggested Charlie Brown.

"You may be right, Charlie Brown. Come on." Said Heather.

As Charlie Brown and Heather had reached the Wold place, Charlie Brown was ready to ring the doorbell.

"Come on!" Charlie Brown said nervously.

"Oh, not this again, Charlie Brown!" groaned Heather.

Charlie Brown rang the doorbell. The door opened and…..

Mrs. Wold answered it, and there were Heather and Charlie Brown.

"Mom! You are home!" cried Heather. "We came to visit you, and they told us you've been discharged."

Mrs. Wold told Heather she could come home.

"Alright, Mom. I'll get my stuff, and I'll come back here." Smiled Heather.

Heather and Charlie Brown went back into the Brown residence, and Charlie Brown went to round up Fifi. Much to his surprise, Snoopy and Fifi were playing surgeons.

"Good grief! Well, come on, Fifi. It's time for you to go home." Said Charlie Brown.

"Aw!" moaned Snoopy and Fifi together.

"Aw, don't feel bad, Snoopy." Smiled Charlie Brown. "Fifi lives right across the road from you. You'll always see each other."

Snoopy pulled off his mask, and kissed Fifi's left paw. Fifi, feeling the kiss, blushed. Then, Charlie Brown walked to the front of the house with Fifi, waiting for Heather to come out with her stuff. At last, Heather had come out with her suitcase and sleeping bag.

"It was fun staying with you, Charlie Brown." Smiled Heather. I'm so glad we moved in across the road from you. Not too far to walk if I want to see you."

"Well….." Charlie Brown blushed. "it was fun having you over, Heather."

"Well, goodbye, Charlie Brown. See you tomorrow." Said Heather.

"Goodbye, Heather. Come for another sleepover soon." Said Charlie Brown.

Heather wrapped her arms around Charlie Brown and kissed his right cheek. Charlie Brown, feeling the hug and kiss, blushed redder than Heather's hair. Then, Heather let go and walked right across the street.

"Wow!" cried Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown went up to his room, and noticed the empty space on his floor where Heather had her sleeping bag.

"Pity the Little Red-Haired Girl's stay had to be cut short, I was really enjoying her sleeping over." Sighed Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown looked over towards his bedside table where his plush Heather doll sat.

"But even when she's not with me, I'll always have this doll she made for me." Charlie Brown smiled as he picked up his Heather doll and hugged it. This gave him a warm feeling.

Heather had brought Fifi to her backyard, and then went inside to put her suitcase and sleeping bag away. Then, she went into her room.

"Say, where's Henry?" asked Heather.

Mrs. Wold told her where her brother was.

"In the room next to me?" Heather replied.

Heather quietly exited her room, and crept quietly into her little brother's room, lest she wake him up. There, in the bassinet, was Henry, fast sleep.

"Aw. Hello, Henry." Heather smiled quietly.

Heather spent some time in Henry's room admiring her little brother.

"Well, I'd best leave him. Don't wanna risk waking him up." Said Heather.

Then Heather went to her room, and thought about all the great things that had happened to her over the weekend. Winning the talent show, spending a picnic with Charlie Brown, and becoming a sister.

"Whenever Charlie Brown isn't with me, I know just who can keep me company. That someone is Good Old….. no, let me rephrase that; Good Young Henry Wold." Heather smiled.

So there you have it. Heather has gotten a brother.
