A/N: Part 11 of Starting Over Series. Inspired by Tyler Hubbard's "5 foot 9".

Jack makes good whiskey, yeah

Red dirt makes good ridin' roads

Country makes good music

For kickin' up dust in a tail light glow

Dry wood makes good fires

Goodyears make good swings

All that's all good but for me

"How do I look?"

"Fuckable."

"El," she groaned, putting her hands on her uniform clad hips.

Lifting the whiskey he was drinking to his lips, he tilted it back to hide his smirk at her cute annoyance.

"Well that just makes me wanna fuck you more," he grumbled, turning on a pout.

She groaned and returned back to the bathroom where she changed into the newly issued uniform skirt before stepping back to his eye line.

Elliot's eyes went wide and he pointed. "That one."

"Elliot," she said, laughing immediately, "you can't just pick the skirt cause it's easier to bend me over in."

"I can and I will and I have," he said defiantly with a shrug and shit eating grin as his eyes fell to her long, tan legs.

"Oh yeah?" She asked, taking slow and calculated steps towards the edge of the bed where he was seated, standing between his thighs.

"Mhm," he mumbled, his hands going to her hips and gripping on tight.

She hummed quietly and leaned over him, smirking when his jaw went slack and his head titled to kiss her neck.

Snatching her phone quickly from the bed behind him, she took a step back and he fell back pathetically.

"Whyyyyyyyy," he pouted.

"Cause you're not giving me an honest opinion!" She laughed, hitting FaceTime on the girls group chat.

"My honest opinion is that your new chief uniform gives me a massive boner," he said just as Maureen answered.

"Oh my god DAD!" Came her cry as Liv laughed and Elliot covered his face.

"What did he do?!" Kathleen laughed as she joined.

"Dad is talking about how Liv's new uniform gives him a boner," Maureen said, now laughing hard, too, and saying "boner" right as Liz chimed in.

"Please tell me we're roasting dad," she said, sipping her wine.

"Always," Kathleen, laughed. "I assume that Liv called us for an opinion on her uniform for her chief ceremony cause daddy is being himself?" She asked.

"Yes!" Liv cried, turning the camera to Elliot who was on his side to hide his throbbing cock, but flipping off the camera.

The girls were cackling and Liv rolled her eyes with a smile, setting up the camera on the counter.

"Okay, option 1 is the skirt," she said, taking a step back to show her step daughters, spinning a time or two and laughing when they whooped and whistled.

"Obviously daddy like that one?" Liz asked.

"Of course he does, her ass looks amazing," Katie said, making everyone laugh harder and Elliot groaned.

"I'm leaving," he called dramatically as he dragged himself into the kitchen for a snack.

"I like it!" Mo smiled, "but let's see the pants."

Liv disappeared into their walk in, talking as she changed.

"I like the skirt, but I think that the pants feel more professional?" She pondered, stepping back out so they could see.

"Ohhh I do like the pants… you can wear the heels with them?" Mo asked.

Liv nodded, doing a quick spin and stepping back so they could see the heels.

"I think pants," Liz nodded.

"I don't know I kinda like the skirt but I get what you're saying," Kathleen sighed, just as dramatically as her father just had.

"Maureen?"

Mo sighed, tipping her head side to side.

"I'm adding the boys," Liv laughed, inviting Dickie and Eli to the FaceTime.

"Dang mama!" Dickie exclaimed and Liv laughed.

"You like this?" She asked, stepping back so he could see. "Or should I go with the skirt?"

"Definitely the pants," came Eli's whispered voice from where he sat in the library.

"Pants it is!" Mo exclaimed as Elliot trudged back in with an ice cream bar and a pout, leaning down to put his face in the camera and block Liv.

"Traitors."

"What? You like the skirt better?" Dickie asked.

"Of course he does," his twin replied, giving a look.

It took Dickie a moment, and then he groaned as Eli did too.

"Byyyyyye," the younger man said, hanging up.

"Disgusting!" Dickie cried as he hit end too and the girls all cackled.

Ellie whined on her monitor and Liv looked at El expectantly.

"Oh don't worry, I've got her," he said, holding his hands up in surrender and going to see their baby girl.

The girls chatted for a while longer with Liv, who was now trying to a few sundresses she purchased for the cookout celebration her squad was planning for her on the roof of their building.

Elliot came back in with their daughter scrunched up over his shoulder and chewing on his shirt, his large hand covering the expanse of her small back and holding her safely in place, while his other hand was wrapped around a freshly filled glass.

He stopped short, taking in her tanned, summer skin that looked even darker in the bright white and yellow, floral dress that stopped just above her knees.

"So I thought I could wear this with those strapy wedges that I have…" he heard her say to their daughters.

God makes five foot nine, brown eyes, and a sundress

Loves Tim McGraw and a small town accent

Ain't no way that me and this truck made her fall in love

Jack makes good whiskey but God makes the good stuff

Oh, God makes the good stuff

He didn't realize how low his jaw had dropped until she heard her say goodbyes to their kids, a knowing smile in her voice that made him laugh.

"Sorry," he said, shaking his head with a grin "That dress is…" he trailed off, exhaling and taking his eyes over her. "Fucking unbelievable."

"Language," she scolded playfully, nodding to their baby daughter in his arms who was drifting back to sleep.

"Shhh," he scolded back with a smile, leaning in to kiss her when she stepped almost flush with him.

"How 'bout you take that off and wait for me in bed while I get this little one settled," he whispered against her lips.

"Hmmm she need to eat?"

"Nah, just a diaper change and some cuddles with daddy. Not interested in a bottle, I tried."

"A man in demand," she whispered, laughing.

"That's me," he winked, closing the slim space between their lips.

"Hmmm, go," she winked kissing him.

Like that sweet little kiss she lays on me

When I pull up in the gravel drive

The way she dances with the raindrops

Like she's the reason why they fall from the sky

And I thank Him every time I close my eyes

The Next Day

Liv stood in their room, putting the finishing touches on her uniform when her phone buzzed with a text from her new college boy.

E: Sorry I can't be there today, mom. I love you and I'm so proud of you!

L: Omg... don't be sorry! I love YOU and I'm so proud of YOU! Xoxoxo

Setting her phone down, she laughed when she heard Nate's quick scamper to the kitchen.

"Dada hep pease," he said, jumping in to meet Elliot where he was standing at the counter.

"Why you jumping?" El laughed, lifting his youngest boy up on the counter and pulling up his collar so he could put on his bow tie.

"I dump big yike No!" He exclaimed with a smile, lifting his chin so El could clip his bow tie and then readjust his collar.

"You can almost jump as high as him I think," he laughed and Nate beamed, leaning in to hug his daddy tightly.

"Dood, daddee," he nodded.

"You are very good, yes sir," he smiled, hoisting him up and turning with him as Liv emerged from the hallway.

"Sooo handsome, Nathaniel John!" she exclaimed, coming out with Ellie nestled in her carrier.

Nate gasped. "Mama… so pwetty," he said in awe.

Liv immediately got teary and set Ellie on the counter before taking her baby boy and pulling him close.

"Thank you, sweet boy…"

"Yah mama," he smiled, his blonde curls bouncing as he pulled back.

"Now...where's your brother?"

"I'm coming, I'm coming," Noah called, exiting his room dressed but fiddling with his tie.

"Need help?" El asked with a laugh as Noah grumbled.

"I can never get it," he said with a sigh.

"That's what dads are for," he winked, ushering him into the bathroom.

"Me tooooo," Nate called, sliding down his mom and following them in as Liv laughed.

She looked down to her baby girl in her car seat who had the biggest smile on her face.

"We love our boys huh?" She cooed softly to her, smiling when she giggled back and reached up to hold her cheek.

She looked back up when the trio emerged, and laughed to herself when Noah checked his watch.

"We keeping you?" Liv began to tease, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door.

Her brows furrowed, but Noah and Elliot grinned, the former racing to reveal the visitor.

"Noah," Liv scolded, not having caught on yet, as she followed him to the door.

She gasped, a hand flying to her chest and mouth when it opened, revealing a smiling Eli.

"EYYYYYYYYYIIIIIIIII!" Nate cried, sprinting to tackle his big brother along with Noah.

"Hi buddy!" He laughed, sinking down to kiss their heads and squeeze them. "Hi mama. Surprise!"

"Oh my," she laughed, tears falling down her face as she ushered her littles away so that she could hug her baby. "What are you doing here?!"

"You really think I'd miss my mom's Chief ceremony? Seriously?" He laughed, shaking his head.

"But.." she gasped, looking between him and a now smirking Elliot. "Wait, did you know?!"

"It was so hard," El laughed, walking over with Ellie's carrier and hugging his boy. "Hi buddy."

"Hi dad… missed you. And missed you even more," he cooed to his sister who smiled up at him.

"Alright people we gotta go," Noah said, sounding just like Elliot and glancing at his watch the same way, too.

"I knew you were being weird this morning," Liv laughed, nudging Noah who just grinned and led the way out of the house.

Eli had Nate in his arms, and El watched, frozen, as he walked down the hall next to Liv. He'd wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and the walked in stride with one another, laughing and talking as Liv controlled her emotions.

He didn't realize how long he's been standing and staring until their baby girls squeak and Liv's brown eyes meeting his brought him back to reality.

"Coming, there daddy?" She laughed over her shoulder, and he just smiled, nodded, and followed her like he always did.

The ceremony was wonderful, and after what seemed like an hour of family photos, the crew returned to Maureen's for a celebratory cook-out, hosted by Cragen, Fin, and Munch.

El was out by the grill, having gotten out of his suit and made sure his little boys did the same, and was sipping a beer when Liv walked out with Ellie in her arms.

The pair were wearing matching outfits: Liv, the dress from the night before, and Ellie a puffy, matching onesie with a massive bow and tiny sandals.

Everyone rushed over to fawn over and love on the giggling baby girl and the city's newest chief, including their boys, the uncles, and the real and pseudo grandparents.

Elliot, however, stood still in his spot, jaw slack with a quiet and observant smile on his face. He watched, intently, as his wife radiated charisma, love, and gratefulness, and proudly showed off her mini me.

He studied how she interacted with their boys and girls; the subtle differences and the way she smiled at their daughters and how her eyes lit up with a different emotion at each of their sons.

He chuckled to himself when she laughed that damn laugh that could be heard from a mile away, and blushed when she caught him staring from across the yard and began to make her exit.

The crowd dispersed, finally, going back to whatever activities they'd been previously participating in, and Elliot walked slowly to stand under a tree off to the side of the yard.

With a smiling Ellie still in her arms, Liv walked to meet him, leaning into him when he wrapped his arm around her slim waist, and pressed a kiss to her head.

"My gorgeous girls," he whispered against her flowing curls.

"You're quiet," she commented softly, passing Ellie over when she reached up for her daddy.

"Just taking it all in," he said, resting their baby on his shoulder, both girls now in the protection of his arms.

"Oh yeah?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Oh yeah… you're amazing, Olivia," he said, looking down at her and leaning in to kiss her gently. "I can't believe God gave me you."

"I love you," she whispered, smiling against his lips.

"I love you more, Chief… that's why all our kids are not going to be home tonight."

Laughing softly, she pulled back and beamed up to him. "I figured…"

"Mhm.. I wanna make love to my wife. That's okay with you?"

"More than," she whispered, pecking his lips again before walking across the lawn at the call of her name.

He stood, still quietly watching with their daughter now turned, watching too.

"You know how lucky you are, Eloise?" He asked, looking at her and smiling when she grinned brightly at him and reached to hold his face.

"Daaaaadeeeee," Nate called, and Ellie whipped around and giggled at the sound of her brothers voice.

"Yeah?" He asked with a laugh, examining his four sweaty boys with their hair matted to their heads and their faces red from exertion.

"Come play with us dad!" Noah called, kicking the soccer ball over to him.

"Come on papa!!!" His granddaughter, Maggie, shouted, looking just as rough as her uncles.

"Pretty lucky," he whispered to his daughter, who giggled when he kicked the ball back before making his way to join his family.
