Dynasty Warriors: Chapter Three

Original Warlord Viewpoint

Go to war against traitor, save China. The young Emperor, Bo Chun, celebrates with the other Warlords - some of them fought against the yellow turbans when they were a big problem, some of them just came in order to empower themselves after defeating Dong Zhuo, some of them just did not want to lose the power they already had to the traitor, and a few Warlords are probably going to contribute a lot more to bring him down.

A small number have already contributed more to this than he is going to be able to contribute, and some wall guards just wanted to save His Highness and bring peace to China out of idealism. I consider myself the last one most but many Warlords, including myself, have combinations of the reasoning as to why they're going against Dong Zhuo. But no one was going to take him down alone - everyone wanted to go. This was going to be a coalition to bring down the horrible tyrant, but he considered with how many enemies he made out of powerful Warlords, many of whom had Musa warriors with them. Together, it should be easy enough, and between all the war lords that are contributing to it, no individual one should be able to get enough power as to destroy the stability of the land. It's not like China needed more war but I would do my part.

I have gathered my men that I've been using against the yellow turbans, and gathered some volunteers to train them. By taking my forces to join the coalition, I don't have any of those Musa Warriors. I wanted to see if I could look through to any, but the other war lords (such as the sun family, Cao Cao, and those Peach brothers who have sworn an alliance of virtue) are said to have close bonds of Musa Warriors. I would be glad to join my forces with any of them in battle against the Thailand and his armies. It was even good among the Peach brothers, the greatest fighter among Guan Yu. It is said that the Sun family and Cao Cao were the main people in the climatic battle that brought down the magical leader of the yellow turban, but the Tyrant stole the kill and that has greatly contributed to the tyrant's ability to take custody the Emperor of China and take over the capital during the fights against the eunuchs.

But for now, I must be focusing on moving my forces to the capital. The closest thing I have to a great warrior is myself and my nephew, Duan Yang (the only one who I have allowed into a position to take over if I have died before I get in there.) As I was finishing writing down my memoir, a messenger arrives and says, "Major report, my Lord. One of the Vanguard units, well, one of them saw... how should I put it... he might have seen something..."
Bo Chun sounded back, "Out with it! What did he see?"
The messenger responded, "He thinks he saw a Musa Warrior take down some yellow turbans, and all on his own."
"We might actually be able to bring him in!" Bo Chun shouted back.
"When the one who saw him bring him to me," the messenger replied at once.

At this moment, Duan Yang came in from the the back of the tent. The messenger went to get the Vanguard Soldier in the opposite direction. Duan Yang said, "Uncle, I mean my Lord, do we really need a Musa Warrior?"
Bo Chun replied, "If we can get one, then we need to get one. It will provide us significantly more Prestige among the other Warlords, which will make them not overlook us for important tasks and decisions. This is a time of many Musa Warriors and to not have one amongst our ranks at such a critical time would make us vulnerable. We need a champion."
Duan Yang responded, "I thought I was the champion."

His uncle said, "Yes, for now, but the instruction were clear. If you have a musa warrior, make them the champion in your army."
"But Uncle, am I not the greatest warrior in your army? You said I could take on five of you!"
Bo Chun replied, "Yes, nephew, and maybe one day you can Elevate to a Musa Warrior. I have heard that has happened amongst those who were not born as such, and I would be asking the other Warlords if they know of how to make such a thing happen. I know you do not want someone who does not represent the Army being Champion, so it must be done. Just stand up."

The Vanguard unit came in. What parts are on the one who saw the Musa Warrior in action? He definitely does not have any Armed Forces at the moment, but he seems eccentric. I saw him at first, when we killed a few Yellow Turbans. In fact he seemed to kill them by accident, not knowing his own strength. The warlord was confused by that. "What do you mean by eccentric? And no ties to any forces? Tell me now!" The Vanguard man reported that he seems to have been travelling among a large number of villagers. They seem to be migrating because of the destruction of the village, on account of a fire, I think. He seems to be born from very far away, possibly even Rome as he's mentioned killing a few white tigers. He also knew enough about his fighting capabilities to know that yellow turbans should not have been a problem for him as a Musa Warrior, and the villagers he came with seemed quite aware that he was one as well. But we might have a little problem with having him do acts of violence, because he did not respond well when he killed one of the yellow turbans. It was an easy accident and those yellow turbines clearly deserve deadly force against them but apparently this man has never killed humans before."

Duan Yang smirked. "If he does not want to kill, is there really a place for him in our army?"
Bo Chun replied, "Well, he may not want to kill on the Frontline, but he's willing to create violence against people. If you see the worthy cause, then why is he so different than the rest of the soldiers? If he feels like not killing, he just needs training and he could probably be good at capturing important enemies. Also it's not as if you cannot knock them out if you are properly trained, but being a foreigner tied to a small village will probably be hard now. So we do with these non-Chinese villagers the Vanguard rep actually my Lord only he seems to be foreign. The villagers he came with were distinctly Chinese and knew a lot more about how things were then have any indication of knowing. They basically told him to not to mention being a Musa Warrior when they first go to the city."

Bo Chun stood up, "Well then, let's go to the city and see what we can do about getting him and possibly more people to the cause against Dong Zhuo."
