Kaye, Ryo, and Sage arrived and stepped out of the car as they laid eyes upon the smoking ruins of our detective agency. Kaye sighed a bit as she continued to take in the sight. Kaye jumped a little when she felt Ryo grip her shoulder and have a reassuring squeeze as he pulled his hand off.

"Are you sure about this? You know, we could have dropped you off back at the station." Ryo suggested as the three of them walked closer to the building.

Kaye raised a brow towards him, "Seriously? There is no way I was going to pace around there and wait. Besides, Kento and I are the only two who know the combination."

Sage chuckled, "She got you there Ryo."

Ryo smirked a bit as he gave a small nod, "Yeah, you're right. Ok, fine, just make sure you're careful, otherwise, Kento will more in likely kick our asses if anything happened to you."

Kaye smirked a bit as she continued to wade through the rubble as the three of them were avoiding fallen debris. "He's being overprotective. Kento knows I'll be fine with the two of you. Besides, if I have to, I can fight."

Sage chuckled while the three of them continued through the rubble, "We know, but hopefully it won't have to come it. But knowing the ones we're facing, they'll more in likely won't make it a fair fight."

Kaye glanced back and Ryo and Sage, "Think Kento and Rowen will be alright?"

Ryo nodded, "They'll be fine. No need to worry about those two."

Sage smirked, "Besides, Kento is always looking for a tangle. Plus from what the two of you told us earlier, I think he wants to have some payback as well."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kaye replied as she looked ahead and saw their destination wasn't too far.

As the three of them were getting closer to the location of the safe, they didn't know two sets of eyes watched from the darkness. "It was good for us to come back and wait. We shouldn't have any problem taking the evidence from the dame, and the two gumshoes."

"Just wait," Badamon said as he grabbed onto Dais and yanked him back. "I figured they would come back after they heard about the fire."

"What makes you think the evidence is still here? If it was, shouldn't it have been burned with the rest of the place?"

Badamon shook his head as he let go of Dais, "I heard from my source the evidence was not at either house. So the logical choice would be back here. She must have hidden it to where we couldn't find it."

Dais smirked as he continued to watch them, "Looks like Anubis isn't as perfect as anyone thought. He does make mistakes."

"Quiet, unless you want to make the mistake of us being caught before the dame shows us where she hid the evidence." Badamon hissed as he and Dais followed Kaye, Ryo, and Sage further inside the ruins.

"Kaye, are you sure about this?" Sage asked, as they were now standing in what was once our office.

"I'm sure. I'll be right back, it's right over there." Kaye replied as she gestured across the room.

Ryo and Sage looked in the direction to where Kaye motioned and they could see the safe. They stayed and watched as Kaye was making her way to her destination. She removed the rest of the debris to get a better angle. Kaye then got closer to it and punched in the code. She opened the door and reached in, Kaye shuffled through a few things and got the evidence as she stuffed it into her bag.

"Hand over the evidence, and we'll make your demise a quick one, otherwise, well if you choose not to hand it over, then I'll enjoy taking it from you."

Kaye whirled around and saw Dais and Badamon standing in front of Ryo and Sage. "No way, Dais? How? You're supposed to be..."

Dais smirked, "Dead? Yes, well the news of my death were slightly exaggerated to say the least. We wanted you to believe I was dead. It wasn't all entirely difficult."

Badamon glared at Dais, "Enough, you don't need to tell them everything. Just get the evidence from her and then take care of them, since now they know too much. We can't afford to have them alive to tell the world you're not dead."

Within a blink of an eye, Ryo, and Sage got between them and faced off against Dais and Badamon. "Kaye, get out of here! Go to the station, we'll hold them off!"

Dais smirked as he glanced between them, "Are you serious? You two flatfoots believe you can stop me? I'd like to see the two of you try."

Ryo and Sage shifted into a fighting stance as they kept their eyes on them.

Kaye frowned deeply, "I'm not going to just leave the two of you..."

"Kaye, we don't have time to argue. Get going! Besides, we gave Kento our word we'd watch over you. Now go! We'll catch up!" Sage cut her off as he glanced back at her for a moment and then turned his full attention towards Dais and Badamon.

"You better," Kaye grumbled as she pivoted around and raced towards the street in the direction of the station.

"Hey! Come back here!" Dais exclaimed.

"Hey, yourself ugly, keep your focus on us. We're your opponent's not her!" Ryo said as he narrowed his eyes at him.

"You coppers have bitten off way more than you can chew." Badamon said with a dangerous smirk. He reached into his pocket and drew out a syringe and stuck it into Dais as he emptied the contents all the way into him and then dropped it to the ground and watched Dais change.

A deep insane laugh, like a hieynah erupted from Dais' throat. The muscles on his body started to get bigger, his eyes became wild, Dais ' started to lose it,"Kill...Kill...Kill!" He yelled and launched high into the air. His mind was no longer human, it was pure primal with one goal. "Kill...Kill..."

Ryo and Sage whipped their heads up towards the sky and saw Dais coming down extremely fast towards them. They barely had enough time to get out of the way.

"Man! He's juiced!" Ryo exclaimed as he skidded to a stop.

"Must be the enhancement drug Badamon gave him. Any case, we need to figure out how to stop him before he beats us into the rubble!" Sage shouted back as he kept his eyes on the savage fighter.

Badamon laughed as he continued to watch, "As much as I would like to stick around and watch him wipe out you two flatfoots, I have a dame to catch."

"Get back here!" Ryo shouted towards Badamon as he saw him racing in the direction Kaye ran.

"Ryo! Watch it!" Sage warned as Dais came at his partner from nowhere.

Ryo barely had enough time to put up a defense with Sage's warning. But Ryo was still knocked all the way through one of the walls and his body rolled a bit until he stopped and groaned.

Sage glanced towards him, "Ryo!" He whirled his attention towards Dais just as the insane fighter started to charge him. 'Oh man, this is definitely not good.' Before Sage could even put up a block, he too was slammed through another wall. His body rolled and then stopped as he reached out and grabbed onto a passing beam. Sage gritted his teeth when he felt his shoulder being pulled with the sudden stop.

Dais watched Ryo and Sage slowly rising to their feet. Dais felt his new abilities surging through him like a charged electric eel.

"We are in so much trouble." Ryo stated as the two of them were finally on their feet.

"You're not kidding, there has to be some way to stop Dais. Wait, didn't Rowen say the experimental drug had a short time span?"

"Yeah, but he didn't say how long the fighter would be able to have it in their system before they die." Ryo replied, trailing off as he and Sage dove out of the way of another of Dais' airal attacks.

Sage stood and looked over at Ryo, "So what? We keep dodging him until he's dead?"

Ryo nodded, "It's all we can do for now, Rowen also said the fighter wouldn't feel pain, so it wouldn't matter if we attacked him in return. He'd keep on coming anyway. We do have a slight advantage. We're faster and more agile, plus he can't go after both of us at the same time."

Sage glanced at Ryo, "You're not thinking what I think you're thinking? Ryo!"

Ryo shrugged, "It's the only thing we can do, unless you have any better ideas?"

Sage shook his head, "No, not at the moment."

Meanwhile, a couple of blocks over, Kaye was still racing in the direction of the station with Badamon not far behind. Kaye ducked when she heard a bullet zing past her and planted itself into a wall. Kaye wasn't going to chance taking a look back, because she knew if she did, it would slow her down. Kaye couldn't afford to allow Badamon to catch up to her.

"Give me the evidence!" Badamon yelled towards her as he picked up his pace.

"Forget it, I'm not going to give up anything, especially to you!" Kaye yelled back as she raced around the corner.

Badamon tore around the corner, "You're only delaying the enviable!"

"As long as you, Kayura, and your Dynasty fighters go down, I don't care!" Kaye yelled back as she slipped into an alley and hid behind some crates as she watched for him to come for her. Kaye could feel her heart racing a mile a minute. It was a mix between racing towards the station and being shot at from behind as she was being chased by a crazy scientist. Kaye knew it was crucial to get to the station as soon as possible so she would be able to turn in our evidence. But Kaye was also concerned about Ryo and Sage, who were back at our old office fighting a deranged Dynasty fighter who was supposed to be dead. As well as being concerned about me and Rowen heading into our own type of trouble. Kaye closed her eyes and started to calm her breathing. After a few moments, she opened her eyes and felt a little calmer as she kept her sight at the opening of the alley. Kaye could see Badamon standing with his gun raised.

Badamon glanced left, then right, after he made sure no one was around he took his time walking down the alley. The crazed scientist glanced one side then the other as he searched for Kaye. "Come out, you're only delaying things. By now, I do believe Dais has finished off the two flatfoots. Plus, I wouldn't doubt your other two friends are dealing with their own troubles." He was trying to bait her, Badamon listened for Kaye to respond but he growled a bit when she didn't reply. He thought by goading her, she would give him her location. "Come on out! I'll make your death quick one. No, now I think about it, I have something else in mind. I won't kill you, not yet."

Kaye pinned herself against the wall behind the crates as she watched Badamon stop just short of her hiding place. She saw he still had his back to her. Kaye was relieved he hasn't seen her yet. But what did the crazy scientist mean by what he said? She saw him still standing there. Did he know she was behind him, and he was waiting for her to make her next move? Or she wondered if Badamon still had no idea of where she was hiding. Kaye could see Badamon was cutting off her exit by standing in his spot. She swore internally, 'Come on Kaye, think! How would Kento get out of this?' Kaye thought to herself and then it came to her as she quietly and slowly made her way to just the other side of the crates and shoved them towards Badamon.

Badamon heard the crates crashing down behind him. He whirled around and dove out of the way. The crates were a short-term barrier between the two of them. He would make short work to make his way through. Badamon saw Kaye starting to back out of the alley, he aimed his gun and took a warning shot close to her.

Kaye pivoted back as the bullet zinged past and into a car behind her. Kaye took a quick glance at the car and she could see where the bullet entered through the car door.

Badamon saw Kaye was distracted for a split second, it was all he needed when he took another shot, and this time he hit his mark. Badamon smiled as he saw Kaye collapse on the ground. He climbed over the crates while keeping his grip on the gun. He watched Kaye trying to drag herself out onto the sidewalk. Badamon cocked his gun and then reached down and grabbed her hair and yanked Kaye backwards towards him.

Kaye yelped as her hands went up while she was trying to break his grip. She felt him yank her harder. Kaye tried to yell for help but she felt his gun digging into her. Kaye winced in pain as she glanced at him from the corner of her eye. The pain in Kaye's leg throbbed. 'Kento...'

"Now then you and I are going on a little trip," Badamon said as he glanced around and saw his opportunity. "Get up!" Badamon barked as he was jerking Kaye to her feet.

Kaye yelped as more pain radiated from her wounded leg, as well as the grip he still had on her hair. She tried to fight against him, but then she felt his gun dig further into her.

Badamon leaned in close to Kaye's ear and growled low in his throat, "Get...Up...If you don't, then the next person I see will get the next bullet."

Kaye wasn't going to let this madman hurt someone else, so she slowly rose to her feet as she felt Badamon letting go of her hair, but she could still feel his gun.

"Good girl, now, you and I are going on a little trip." Badamon said as he grabbed onto Kaye's wrist and yanked her along.

Kaye stumbled along behind him and then she was thrown forward to the driver's side of the car where he held her there. Kaye watched as Badamon bashed in the driver's side window and then cleared out the broken glass.

Badamon reached in and yanked on the trunk release. He shoved Kaye towards the back of the car and then raised the trunk up and forced Kaye to lay face down inside. Badamon saw some rope and reached in as he grabbed it. With his other hand he holstered his gun. Badamon tied her arms behind her back. He yanked hard on the rope to make sure it was good and tight. Badamon smiled when he heard her wince in pain. He pulled back and slammed the trunk down as he walked casually to the driver's side and cleared out the rest of the broken glass from the seat and got inside as he drove away.
