The soft orange splinters of sunlight were starting to force their way into the bedroom as Virginia awoke for another winter's day. But for Elizabeth and Henry, facing the world was the very last thing they had on their minds. The attraction between them was undeniable and fighting it was almost impossible. What had started as playful, languid kisses in the lounge had now developed into all out passion in the bedroom as Henry walked Elizabeth back towards the bed. He wrapped his arm strongly around her, lifting her just as the back of her thighs touched the mattress. He was just about to lay her down when she pushed him back up.

"Give me two minutes. I'll be right back… Don't go anywhere."

Elizabeth retreated to the bathroom to freshen up! She'd ventured out before sunrise to clear her head. She certainly hadn't been expecting to find herself back in Henry's apartment and more importantly, in his bed. Having washed her face and rubbed some toothpaste over her teeth, she sprayed some of his deodorant to make her a little more alluring and ventured back to the bedroom.

"Hey baby…. Are you ready for me?" The wicked grin that was dancing on her lips quickly morphed into a cute smile as she looked over at the bed and saw Henry, half propped up against the headboard, fast asleep. She let out a deep sigh and climbed onto the bed next to him, curling herself into his side and closing her eyes. Maybe it was the perfect start to the day after all.

Henry blinked as the bright sunlight assaulted his vision. He looked around and wondered for a split second if he'd actually dreamt the whole interaction with Elizabeth. Surely his imagination wasn't that vivid, was it? He quickly glanced at the clock and felt a little panicked. It was already mid afternoon and he had obviously slept most of the day away. His feet touched the floor and he ambled through to the lounge, finding it silent and empty.

"Elizabeth? Are you here?" His words came out a little more anxious than he'd meant, but it didn't matter as he appeared to be alone. Where the hell has she gone now.

Henry was pretty certain he hadn't pissed her off again. Although he had fallen asleep when they were about to have sex which was bad enough but he'd then slept all day….oh fuck! Good going Henry, really smooth.

He was just grabbing his jacket to go and find her when he heard the key in the lock and Elizabeth came crashing through the door, arms full of books and her bag slung across her body.

"Oh hey… You're up! I hope you don't mind but I took your keys so I could let myself back in. Oh, and I borrowed your car to go and grab some stuff from my room. How ya feeling?" She dumped the books on the couch and dropped her bag to the floor. Her oversized coat completely enveloped her body and she could only just see out from under the pink bobble hat. She finally glanced up at him and he was just stood, open mouthed, watching her.

"Henry? You ok? Why are you staring at me?"

"I thought you'd gone again. I was just about to come and find you. Did you get on ok with the car? It can be a bit temperamental." He took her jacket and watched as she took her hat off and shook her long hair. He had no idea why, but god that was such a turn on.

"Oh yeah, about that! You may need to ring a recovery place and get them to retrieve it from the ditch it's currently in! It's kinda icy out there." She was looking up at him with those huge blue eyes and it took him a while to process what she'd said.

"You what? You crashed my car? What the… Seriously Elizabeth?" Panic was rising in his chest as he began pacing.

Elizabeth was grinning at him and a little chuckle escaped her "No Henry. I didn't crash your car. It's parked safely outside. I do know how to drive, you know. But the look on your face was priceless."

Henry let out a huge sigh of relief and then flared at her "That's not funny at all. I think my heart just stopped for a second or two."

"Oh, and telling me you were a teacher after we'd spend all day in bed together wasn't mean? Don't dish it out if you can't take it honey."

He closed the gap between them and slid his arms around her waist. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you before we got to… you know." His lips had automatically found their way to her neck, as If drawn there like a magnet.

"It could have been worse. You can have fallen asleep during. Now that really wouldn't have been good for my ego. But you're forgiven." Her eyes slipped shut as she enjoyed the sensation.

"Why don't we move this to the bedroom? I think I owe you." Henry attempted to tug her in that general direction but she shook her head.

"Sorry lover boy, that ship has sailed! I have work to do. I have so much reading to get done over the holiday and three papers to write. Is it ok if I get set up on the table?" She pressed her hand against his chest, pushing him backwards. "You can make me a coffee though."

"Are you serious? You're going to work - Now?" Henry's expression was one of utter disbelief. She was the one who had instigated things before he'd fallen asleep and now she was showing zero interest. He just couldn't work her out.

"Yeah! I have a lot to get through and the longer you keep me talking, the longer you'll be waiting."

Elizabeth sat at the table and immersed herself in book after book, furiously scribbling notes, glasses perched on her nose and crumpled paper scattered on the floor around her feet. She had learned from an early age to zone out when reading. It was almost as if her ears stopped working as soon as she opened a book. She stopped for a moment to stretch and noticed Henry watching her from the couch.

"You're beginning to make a habit of that." The way she was glancing at him over the top of her glasses was setting his body alight.

"What can I say, the view is seriously impressive." He was trying to sound nonchalant but was pretty sure he was failing miserably.

"Is it now. Is there something I can do for you Henry?" She was chewing on the end of her pen as she waited for his answer.

He motioned to get up but she shook her head "Oh no you don't. I still have a couple hours of work ahead of me. If you let me get this done, I'll help you make dinner, deal?"

Henry flopped back down and huffed "Stop being so flirty then. It's unfair."

Elizabeth tilted her head and glared at him "I'm sitting here reading and making notes. I haven't spoken, I haven't moved. I've barely looked at you. How in god's name am I being flirty?"

"You just exude sexiness and you've flicked your hair at least 8 times." He picked up his book, pretending to read.

Elizabeth sniggered "You've counted how many times I've flipped my hair? Really? Henry, should I be starting to worry about staying here? Am I safe?" She looked back down and a smirk crossed her lips "Oh and Henry - Your fly is undone."

By the time Elizabeth had decided to call it a day, Henry had served dinner and poured her a large glass of wine. They sat and ate in relative silence, but it felt comfortable. There was an ease between them that neither of them had ever felt before. It all just felt… Right!

As they washed the dishes, they both made their flirting obvious. It was very clear what they were thinking and the anticipation was steadily building. Henry caught her lips in a rather passionate kiss and Elizabeth immediately sank into it, pulling his body closer. It amazed them both how things could escalate so quickly. It was as if they were going from 0-60 in just a few seconds. A single kiss always managed to spark something in them that raged.

Her lips pressed against his ear and he was certain she was about to whisper something filthy. Oh how wrong he was.

"I'm going to take a shower. Don't fall asleep while you're waiting, will you!"

As their bodies parted, Henry was almost panting. He had been teetering on the edge all evening and just when they were about to start something, she stopped it in its tracks. God damn it Elizabeth you're killing me.

About 20 minutes later, Elizabeth came padding through to the lounge, her pyjama bottoms slung low on her hips and her Appetite for Destruction tee tied in a knot just above her navel. Her straggly hair was still dripping slightly and the scent of coconut wafted through the room. She pulled her hairbrush from her bag and was about to start when Henry put his book down and made a strange request.

"Can I brush your hair for you?"

Elizabeth cocked a brow and looked down at him on the couch, slightly confused. "Why would you want to do that?"

"Do you honestly have to question everything Elizabeth? Can I please just brush your hair for you?"

She shrugged and plonked herself on the floor between his legs. "Whatever floats your boat dude."

It only took a few strokes before Elizabeth began feeling a gentle heat rising and a pulse thrum in her core. As Henry continued, intermittently dragging his fingers through the soft locks, the arousal in her was building rapidly. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back slightly, a breathy sigh leaving her.

"You alright there Elizabeth? Henry knew exactly the effect he was having as he could see the goosebumps on her neck "Feeling some kinda way?"

"Nope! All good here. Just letting you live out your weird fetish." She was not about to yield.

Henry stopped and leaned back "Okay then. All done."

"I can still feel a few knots. Can you just carry on for a bit longer?" Her words were so transparent she almost cringed "I mean, if you want to."

Henry resumed but didn't bother with the brush. Simply running his fingers through her slightly damp hair as he watched her body begin to respond and It was quite a wondrous sight. The goosebumps were covering all the skin he could see and the tiny hairs on her arms were standing up. He also noticed the pinkish tint creeping up her neck and onto her cheeks. And she was definitely squeezing her knees together.

Henry slid off the couch and onto the floor behind her, pulling her body back towards his own. He moved her hair to one side and started placing soft kisses against her neck, sucking slightly each time.

"Hmmmmm ." Elizabeth had no control of the sounds she was now making and couldn't have cared less. "That feels so good." Her body leaned further against Henry and she tilted her head to place a searing kiss against his lips.

Henry crept one hand up under her shirt, cupping her breast, squeezing oh so gently. The other hand found its way into her pyjama bottoms, and then her panties, his fingertips getting tantalisingly close to where she wanted him, tickling her inner thigh as she squirmed under his touch. She could feel his warm breath against her ear and she was desperate for him to move his fingers and touch her.

"Elizabeth…." His voice was like melted chocolate, dripping with an erotic undertone. Her head was starting to feel fuzzy and she was now completely at his mercy.

"Uh huh." She'd meant there to be more words but that was all she could manage.

Henry pressed another kiss against her earlobe, nibbling slightly and moved his fingers just a little, not quite touching her, teasing just enough.

"I'm gonna take a shower. Don't fall asleep will you." He removed both hands and tried to stifle the laugh that was threatening to betray him.

"Are you serious? You get me this turned on and then walk away?." The frustration in her words was amusing Henry to no end.

"Nah, I'm not really. But it's good to know just how much I turn you on and exactly how to do it."

Elizabeth stood up and walked across the room. For the briefest of moments, Henry thought he'd gone slightly too far but was rather relieved when she flicked the light off and sauntered back over to him. She lowered herself down and straddled his lap, tugging his hair slightly as she forced her tongue into his mouth. The kiss was frenzied and consuming, almost aggressive in a way and it only fanned the flames of desire.

Elizabeth lifted her shirt over her head, her naked torso illuminated by the soft glow of the fairy lights and dove straight back in for another fervent kiss. It was as if she craved everything about Henry and no matter how hard she tried or what she did, the need only grew. She wanted him in a way that was actually scaring her. It was consuming and obsessive. He was all she needed.

His shirt was the next to go as she manoeuvred it over his head. Her lips placing sloppy kisses against his hot skin. She adored the feel of his abs under her palms, he was beyond sexy yet he didn't seem to realise it which only made her want him more.

"Move off a second gorgeous." Henry lifted her off to the side and stood, hot footing it off to the bedroom to grab that all important little foil packet and watched her from the doorway as she dropped her bottoms and panties to the floor. Although he'd seen her naked before, he hadn't really had all that much time or forethought to take in her beauty. But as his eyes traced every inch of her body, he realised what a goddess she actually was. She was absolutely perfect to him in every way and he was overwhelmed with a feeling of never wanting to let her go.

Henry dropped his jeans and boxers and walked over to where she was now standing. "You are phenomenal, do you know that? You are perfect." His eyes were fixed on hers. He wanted to really make sure she knew how serious he was.

Her head dropped and she blushed profusely "I'm not Henry… Stop it."

He tilted her head back up and placed the softest kiss against her lips "You are to me."

Henry sat himself on the floor against the couch and pulled her onto his lap. He had never wanted anything more than to make her happy. To make her lose herself to him. There had never been anyone more deserving of love than her and he had to prove it to her.

As she slid down onto him, the groan that escaped her made Henry smile. He knew he'd turned her on but she was so primed and ready. Elizabeth rested her forehead against his as she moved her hips. They both knew this wouldn't be a prolonged affair. This was pure passion surging through them and the pressure was too forceful to be contained for long.

Her shuddered breaths against his skin were pushing him closer and closer, each sound escaping her mouth, driving him crazy. They both had so much to convey yet words failed them. It felt so good but there was a feeling of such comfort and understanding that hadn't been there before. They were both falling head first into feelings neither of them had been expecting. It was all hitting them so fast and there was no way of stopping it.

Elizabeth gripped Henry's shoulders, her eyes flicking between the lightest aquamarine to the darkest cobalt, drawing him in.

"Henry…. " As she surrendered to the sensations assaulting her body, her whispered cry made her seem more vulnerable than Henry had ever seen in anyone. His arms wrapped tightly around her, the light sheen of perspiration on her back feeling cool against his fingertips. And then she tensed in his arms and her muscles contracted around him, gripping him so tight he had no option but to surrender too. His teeth making contact with her shoulder as he let out a guttural moan.

The room fell silent as they remained completely still, barely moving as they allowed themselves time to come down from their euphoria. And then, in the quietest of voices, spoken with slight trepidation, Henry uttered the words that turned Elizabeth's world from black and white to colour.

"Elizabeth…. I love you."
