Issei Pov
When I woke up I felt like absolute shit, but that wasn't out of the ordinary. The thing that really surprised me was that I was not alone in my bed. I went to touch whatever was next to me and was met with something soft and squishy and that was followed by a moan which led me to let go and uncover whoever was under the covers. And I was met with a naked Rias Gremory.
"What the hell," I whispered before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me into her bare chest. I could barely breathe but it felt super nice.
"Good morning," She said as she slowly opened her eyes.
I tried to look at her but she had a pretty good grip on my head
"Rias, what are you doing here?" I asked her as calmly as possible
"Well I needed to heal you plus you make a good body pillow," she told me
I squirmed myself from her grip and got out of bed but tripped.
"I'm no expert but I believe that is a rather impressive size," she said while looking at my lower half.
I covered myself with what I could find and I wish I could say that I didn't have blush on my cheeks.
"So are you going to tell me what you are or are we going to keep beating around the bush?" I asked her while I was trying to get ready for school.
"Straight to the point, I like that," she said with a smirk while looking at my body and the amount of scars that I had, "Well since you asked so nicely, My name is Rias Gremory, I'm a devil and your master," she said with a smirk
"Excuse me," I said with a glare, I didn't like that master part.
"Don't worry, it's not like that, I should probably get dressed, After classes I'll send someone to come get you and I'll explain everything in the club room," she told me as I got dressed. I caught her taking a peek at my body, 'He's really well built,' Rias thought to herself.
"Wanna take a picture, it'll last longer," I tell her, she just got flustered and left my room.
"Sigh, This is going to be a long day," I say to myself
It was a semi peaceful walk to school, I could have gone without the weird stares I was gettin, I guess it was because I was walking behind one of the most beautiful girls in school.
I just threw on my headphones and blocked out the world. Unknowing to me, Rias was trying to get my attention and tapped my shoulder.
"Hey!" she yelled with a pouty face.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I asked with a bored look on my face.
" I was saying that I'm going to send someone after you when classes are over," She said with an annoyed look on her face.
"Oh, cool. See ya then I guess," I said with a bored tone as I walked away, but I was more curious than anything to find out the truth.
Third POV
People were just standing in shock looking at the duo in shock.
"D-did Issei Hyoudou just blew off Rias Gremory!" said some of the bystanders.
Issei POV
As I roamed the halls of the place I call school, I was met with all kinds of stares from the other students. I just kept my head down and kept walking. As soon as I got into class I was bombarded by one person.
"Hiii, Issei~" Said Aika Kiryuu
"Crap," I say under my breath. "What do you want Aika?" I asked
"Oh nothing, but a little bird told me they saw you walking to school with Rias Gremory," She said.
"Was that little bird a four eyed perv," I said as I glared at Motohama as he hid behind his desk.
"Maybe but you're dodging the question," she said.
"Last time I checked, I don't have to explain myself to you," I said coldly.
"Awww, Issei, why do you have to be so mean, 'although it is kind of sexy'" She whispered the last part but somehow, I heard it.
"WHAT!" I yelled with a blush on my face
"Hmm," she looked at me curiously.
"Uhh, n-nothing," I stuttered out, 'damnit, why do I keep stuttering'
The day went on like any other day, but I still had a massive headache. As I was packing up for the day the girls in my class turned into banshees.
"AHHHHHHH, IT'S KIBA," they all screamed
'What the hell is Kiba doing here,' I thought
"Well hello ladies," he said in a kind voice
"What are you doing here?" asked Murayama
"I'm actually here to pick up Issei," he said answering her question.
"WHAAAAAAAAT," they all yelled
"Hey Ise, I've come to pick you up on the request of Ms. Gremory," Kiba greeted me
"Right, she said she would send someone, I didn't know it would be you," I said, 'so he's a devil too, interesting.'
"Kiba and Issei are leaving together, this is a dream come true," one of the girls said
"The Prince and the Dark Knight of Khou walking together," said another
"I have a really bad feeling about this," I told Kiba.
"Why's that?" he asked while we were walking down the hall.
"'Sigh', never mind," I told him.
As we were walking, we got all kinds of stares and people were staring at us, I guess a lot of people don't see me and Kiba together a whole lot. By the time I knew it we were at the creepy old building that just set me off.
"Well, here we are," Kiba told me, and I just stood there kind of stiff.
"You're not scared, are you?" he asked me with a smirk.
"N-not at all. And wipe that stupid smirk off your face you bastard!" I yelled and walked past him.
He just chuckles and walks next to me.
'Damnit why am I so wigged out inside of this building,' I thought while trying to keep up the tough guy act.
"Well, here we are, the Occult Research Club,'' he announced.
"That's a bit of a mouthful," I remark as he opens the door.
As he opens the door, I see a room that looks like a mid-century European room with candlelight lighting the room.
"You guys took the occult vibe to a whole new level,'' I say while looking around the room. While looking around the room he spotted the same girl from the other day that took his spot during lunch.
"That is Koneko Toujou, first year," Kiba told me.
"We've met," I told him as she gives me a nod while eating some chocolate. At that moment I felt a shiver go up my spine and two slender arms wrapped around my neck and felt two soft mounds on my back.
"Ara ara~, I finally meet the troublemaker that Sona has been talking about," I hear a sultry voice say behind me. I feel my face heat up as the girl stands in front of me.
"I'm Akeno Himejima a third year and vice-president of the occult research club, I've heard a lot about you Issei Hyoudou~" she said in the same tone.
"Uhhh, nice to meet you," was all I could muster as I tried to calm myself down.
Of course, she just giggled at my reaction. I couldn't help but notice that there was a person missing out of this group, as soon as I thought that the sound of a shower caught my attention and the silhouette that was coming from behind it.
"Well since everybody is here, we should get started," I hear Rias say as she opens the curtain with only a towel on.
"You guys are really comfortable around here aren't you," I say trying to look away from her, and she just giggles at my reaction.
"Don't worry you can look now," she says fully dressed.
"Look, I just want information on what the hell attacked me in the park," I say getting straight to the point as Kiba sits next to Koneko.
"Well, the simple answer is that they are Fallen Angels," she says, "And we are Devils," she adds.
"We, as in the entire club, a Devil?" I asked with a bit of curiosity.
At that moment bat-like wings popped out of everyone's back, including mine, and I started to panic a little inside.
'I need to calm down if I want to get an answer on what the hell I am and these fallen angels,' I thought to myself.
"You see Issei, you are now a part of the house of Gremory and my servant," she said
"So, what, am I like a slave or something now?" I asked a little defensive.
"No, every devil with a peerage can choose how to treat their servants and we Gremory's are known to treat our servants as family," she said with a smile.
"We devils are at a stalemate with two other factions, the Angels and Fallen Angels, we have been..." she continued to talk but I was only focused on the Fallen Angel part, 'If I can find their hideout then I can get a location on this Kokabiel bastard and put an end to my nightmares and finally have the vengeance I've wanted for ten long years,' I thought
"Issei, are you listening?" Rias asked
"Uh, y-yeah," I said not really paying attention
"Good, now let's see what Sacred Gear you have," she told me as she got up from her desk.
"My sacred what?" I asked her.
"So, you weren't listening, a Sacred Gear is a gift from God that he bestowed unto humans so that they be able to fight the supernatural," she explained
"Oh, so how do I activate it?" I ask her as I get up from the couch
"Imagine the most powerful thing you can think of and put it on a part of your body,'' She instructed.
I closed my eyes and started to think about something powerful and then I saw something glowing on my right arm, but my eyes were still closed and then I felt really hot like I had a fever and then darkness.
Issei's mindscape
I opened my eyes and saw nothing.
"Did I die again," I asked myself.
"No, you did not die again Issei Hyoudou," a booming voice said.
"Who the hell is there!" I yelled preparing for a fight.
"Calm down boy, I am not a threat. I am your sacred gear," the voice said
"If you're my sacred gear, then why can't I see you?" I asked the voice, then a wall of fire appeared out of nowhere and out came a gigantic red western dragon.
"I am Ddraig, The Red Dragon of Domination, and you, Issei Hyoudou are my host,"
"So, I've had a dragon living inside me this whole time," I said with anger
"Yes, but you didn't have enough magic energy to wake me up until now, but I've seen your entire life play out and I am truly sorry for what you have gone through," Ddraig said with pity in his voice.
"I don't need you pity, I just want to know, could you have saved her?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
"If you had awakened me, yes I could have but at that moment I was powerless to do anything, and I am truly sorry for that," He said with sadness, "But you may now use my power to have your revenge, but it might take a while before you can use all of my abilities," he said
I just stared at him with tears coming down my face.
"For now, wake up and see what the Devil girl wants with you and maybe open up to them, they might be able to help you," he said as he started to fade.
Real World
I started to wake up and felt that my head was under something softer than a pillow. I opened my eyes and saw the entire club looking down at me with worried looks.
"What happened?" I asked groggily
"You passed out and fell on the floor," Rias said with a worried expression on her face.
"Her eyes are so pretty," I said not thinking as she blushed. I also realized I was resting my head on her lap. I sat up and looked at my right arm.
'You can summon your gear now, just imagine a red gauntlet on your arm," I heard Ddraig say in my head.
'Wait, we can communicate in my head?' I asked him.
'Of course, partner but I might sleep from time to time, so don't be surprised when I don't answer you,' Ddraig responded
I imagined a red gauntlet on my arm and then...
"BOOSTED GEAR," I hear Ddraig yell out as a red gauntlet appeared on my arm.
"Huh, shiny," I said with a bored tone.
"No way!" Rias yelled, "You're this generation's Red Dragon Emperor!" She said with excitement.
"I guess so,'' I said still looking at the red dragon gauntlet
"You have the power to double your power every couple of seconds," she explained, then she calmed down and started explaining how the system works
"The way the Devil system works is that we recruit humans to our peerage to add numbers to our ranks and make deals with other humans for a certain price," she explained
"So, you take their souls?" I asked
"Not any more they can exchange anything of value or what they hold most dear," she explained, "So we use these pamphlets to draw in new customers," she showed me, "Since you don't have a familiar yet you will have to hand these out yourself," she said with a smile, "But once you rise through the ranks you can have servants of your own one day," she said while getting real close to my ear.
"Nah, I work better alone anyway," I told her while leaving the clubroom.
