Chapter 5
Kelly was a bit speechless now.
"Your sisters are right," he said.
"What?" Kelly demanded. "You expect me to believe you are Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil?" Kelly asked, too shocked to realize just how she sounded asking that.
"You don't have to believe me, but I need your help. I searched everyone in your world and I have a gut feeling you and your sisters could help us," Leon said.
"You want us to fight zombies?" Haley asked.
"Well, not actually, if you follow me you will see for yourself," Leon said.
"Whatcha think, sis?" Haley asked.
Kelly rolled her eyes.
"You expect me to believe some random guy who claims to be Leon Kennedy to follow him God knows where to supposedly help him?" Kelly asked.
"We certainly don't have any life here anymore," Erica said.
Kelly glanced down at her shotgun, and thought she could protect herself and her sisters if she had too. They could fight too but she was the oldest of the three and it fell on her first.
"Okay, but if you try anything know this I will slug you so hard Google won't be able to find you," Kelly said.
Leon laughed.
"I know you have a shotgun, I saw it," Leon said in an amused tone as Kelly rolled her eyes once.
Oh terrific, Leon was a wiseass too.
She slowed the SUV down and Leon pulled around and Kelly followed him. The entire time she was kicking herself, how were they supposed to help him and Jill Valentine fight zombies?
Damn it!
"Where are you taking us?" Erica asked.
Leon hesitated at first.
"Understand, where you three are going you will not be returning to this realm," Leon said.
Kelly froze at those words.
"You are keeping us in a world full of zombies?" Kelly demanded.
"Not exactly," Leon said as he drove through what appeared to be a normal bridge that came out in a wooded area.
The three sisters were visibly shaken by the change.
"Where the hell are we?" Haley asked.
It was Erica who saw the others first, when Leon pulled over and Kelly pulled over and they got out of the car. It was then the sisters saw the others, and it dawned on them where they were.
They saw Jill Valentine, Laurie Strode, and a lot of others who the girls recognized right away.
"Sis, we're somehow in…." Haley and Erica started to say until Kelly finished the sentence for them.
"Dead by Daylight," Kelly replied.
"So, we are partnering with someone we take it," Erica asked.
"Something like that we get time and end up on a map with four survivors each time," Leon explained.
"We know how this works but there are only four survivors each time," Haley said.
"You three will not be together, you come with me," Leon said to Kelly who automatically punched him in the face.
"I am not leaving my sisters, they are all I have," Kelly snarled as Jill looked like she would make a move toward Kelly for punching Leon but he held up his hand.
"No, it's fine," Leon said. "Look, I am sorry but that's the way it has to be, you can keep your SUV over here," Leon said as Kelly looked furious with him.
"What's that the read the fine print clause?" Kelly demanded sarcastically.
Leon gazed at her then.
"I'm sorry, it's the only way," Leon said as Kelly got up into his face.
"And, if anything happens to my kid sisters it's not the killers you will need to run from, got it?" Kelly said acidly as Haley and Erica laughed wildly at that.
Leon sighed, and then merely shook his head.
Kelly did not like this guy, not one little bit, she sneered at him.
"Get ready, and go with your teams," Jill ordered.
"I don't take orders from you, I do things MY way," Kelly said as she turned toward her sisters.
She hugged them tightly.
"Use your smarts and come back to me," Kelly whispered, hugging them both. "I love you two with all that I am," she whispered.
"You come back to us as well, we love you too, sis," they said, hugging her right back.
"Don't let the other survivors bully you and more importantly be yourselves, never be afraid to show who you truly are, never," Kelly said as they hugged each other tightly and then went off in separate directions.
Leon glanced at her then.
"You take good care of them by the way," Leon said as Kelly remembered in the story line about the girl Leon had protected….. Claire.
"Yeah well, I have to," was all Kelly said as she prayed to God her sisters as well as she made it out of this in one piece.
Damn it, why wasn't he truthful from the very beginning with them?
