For anyone wondering what Erebus's Scythe looks like, look up moon scythe, it should be on amino apps called legendary moon weapon, it's just that, but white and black with a crystal speartip. Also, the sword form is the collapsed form. Btw Erebus's dad's semblance, Crystal Calamity, basically just lets him manipulate gemstones along with conjuring them, if he has dust, he can imbue them with it's properties.

In 2 months, Sanctum Academy would be open, and we would have to make the long journey there so I could learn to be a huntsmen. Of course, I needed some foundational skills first, so dad would train me himself.

Of course, that required me to figure out how to swing a scythe without eviscerating myself. Which was complicated even further by me being unused to my new enhanced strength.

I swung Eclipse around, this time managing to not fall on my butt, before planting it firmly in the ground.

"That is a lot heavier then it looks." I said, wiping sweat from my brow. My dad is watching me, looking like he's trying to hold in a laugh. "What's so funny?" I asked, slightly annoyed,

"I'm pretty sure your forgetting something, specifically, your gloves." I tilted my head to the side in confusion and he sighed "I would have assumed you knew how gravity dust worked considering your experiments with it. You notice those crystals on your gloves, that is gravity dust, just activate them."

I am a complete imbecile, it's gravity dust, of course it can affect weight. I channeled a small bit of aura into my gloves, they glowed and easily heaved Eclipse out of the ground. "How did I miss that?"

1 and 1/2 months later

I spun Eclipse around myself rapidly, forming a whirlwind of death. My hands instinctively moved to the perfect position to grasp it.

My skills had improved by leaps and bounds and my dad had allowed me to hunt grimm in the forest, as long as he was with me. 5 beowolfs meet their end to the silver blade while the unfortunate alpha was impaled on the speartip.

I collapsed Eclipse and placed it on my back, I looked at dad, and he nodded.

"You did good son, your ready."

I was still sceptical of the idea, I wasn't sure if I was really ready, but I would listen to dad.

"Alright then, lets do this." And just like that, we packed our tents, backpacks, scrolls, and everything else, and began the long trek towards Sanctum.

As we travelled we fought off hundreds of grimm, drawn to my eyes like moths to a flame. I sliced a beowolf in half before throwing Eclipse at a nearby nevermore, which sunk into it's head before flying back to my hands. Dad used his semblance, Crystal Calamity, to fire a barrage of sharp diamonds, taking down dozens of grimm.

"Ursa, 6 O-clock!" I yelled as dad turned around and gutted the thing with his gladius. I jumped high up into the air and concentrated, forcing my energy towards the crystal on the end of Eclipse, it started to shine brighter and brighter and then, it faded. "Mission failed, we'll get em next time." I yelled as I fell out of the sky, failing once more to use my ultimate hyper awesome super ultra omega finishing special attack, or UHASUM FSA, name is a work in progress. "We're getting close!" Yelled dad. I saw the huge walls of Sanctum looming maybe 15 miles away. But it was nearly nighttime and the storm clouds were rolling in.

Suddenly, the sounds of battle ceased into eerie quiet, all the grimm fled away into the shadows, whimpering. I felt my eyes widen reflexively and I clutched eclipse closely. "Why are they running?" I said with trepidation, I looked to my dad, and I saw pure, unfettered terror in his eyes and on his face. "Why are they running?" I ask again, this time in a whisper.

"The Wraith" Dad says in a low tone, trembling

The wind rustles the trees, we stop in our tracks as eerie whispers fill the night. "Why aren't we running?" I asked, slowly. Dad was looking away, but in the moonlight, he looked, odd. He said absolutely nothing, as he slowly turned, revealing blood red eyes "There is No Escape." Came the voice from all around me, I stepped backwards as he, no, IT, advanced, slowly, menacingly walking forwards as the air hummed a soft, childlike tune. He smiled, just a small one, but it grew, along with the maniacal laughter surrounding me as I trembled in fear. "Now now, why are you so scared, after all, There is Nothing To Be Afraid Of." It's head creaks to the side, unnaturally, as it's mouth opens, with no sound coming out, only the voice. It continued to walk forwards, step by step, by step, by step... It was almost, calming, like the wind rustling the trees, or the sound of a monster, slowly, advancing. My eyes were starting to get droppy. Why wouldn't this be a good place to take a nap, just a quick little rest.

I'm sure I'l get up in the morning, Right as Rain. I started to lie down, putting down Eclipse as I did... ECLIPSE, DAD!

My mind cleared of the false sleepiness it once had as I stared the monster right in the face, leveling Eclipse at it "What are you, and what did you do with my dad?" It laughed "So your strong enough to resist, aren't you child. A Seraphim that can resist my persuasion, been a long time since I've seen that. But to answer your question, I am The Wraith, the nightmare that haunts every living being, the monster under the bed, the grimm that lurk outside your house. Everyone thinks their not real, but I am very much real. Your father, he's here" The creature tapped it's chest "His mind is weak, and his body is mine now, and soon, he will be Just Another Puppet" I shook in fear, this thing, The Wraith, it was, horrific. It had taken control of my dad's mind. No, I wouldn't let this stand. "You won't get away with this, Wraith, I will slay you, here and now." It laughed, a cold and harsh laugh that didn't belong to any human, no, it belonged to the nightmares. "Try and take him then, you'll find you are just as powerless as every other victim I have had, all you can do is FLEE" Dad's body spasmed, and long, sharp claws of bone grew out of his fingers, black lines spreading across his body, until he was half ingulfed in the darkness. "Now flee, child, after all, thats all you can do. Erebus. RUN" I stood my ground, shaking and terrified, but determined. "Oh, you wish to stay and fight? How about a game of cat and mouse?" It disappeared in a mist of darkness, as walls of bone rose from the ground, forming a giant maze. I still heard the laughter of the monster as I wandered through the halls, alone...

Made this while playing spooky halloween music, hope it came off as spooky as I wanted it to be. How will Erebus get out of this one?
