This one is very dramatic, hope you don't mind blood. I should also really change up my font considering Wraith uses the same one.
As I run through halls of bone, the horrific laughter of The Wraith still echoing around me. My mind still replays the scene over and over and over again, the whispers becoming louder and louder.
"There is No Escape"
Is the only thing I hear as my head pounds and I fight to keep moving, one step at a time. I saw the walls morph into grotesque eyes and mouths, screaming in silent agony. I shuddered, feeling the onslaught of eyes looking at me. Soon, the floor had turned to a fleshy mess as well. I was still in shock over what was happening, but I pressed on, ignoring the whispers.
As I continue to walk, the moon begins to tint red. I stopped and stared at it, feeling my dread rise to new heights as the moon transformed into a giant, red, eye. "What the heck." I whispered, terrified beyond belief.
Suddenly, I was falling, and then I landed, in a horrific arena, spires of bone jutted from a bloody plain, and standing there amongst the carnage was, It.
"I'm surprised your not dead yet, normally the moon is enough to make them lose hope. But now, I have to kill you myself, or, well, have a puppet do it for me."
"Erebus!" Yelled dad, his eyes returned to normal, although the claws of bone remained.
"Dad?" I asked, feeling hope starting to return to my body, he wasn't under it's control anymore.
"It still has control over me, you need to run. The Wraith, it's a Grimm Titan, one of the primeval evils, nobody has ever managed to kill it. Some people think it's weakness is And thats enough of you." The Wraith interrupted, dad's eyes turning red as he retook control. I panicked as the wraith began approaching me, bone claws growing, fangs elongating and bone white armor spreading across the figure of dad, although I knew it wasn't dad anymore.
It charged for me, and I ran, but I knew it was faster, it was slowly catching up, little by little, and I knew I couldn't keep this up forever. So I didn't, I turned and threw it away with Eclipse's scythe, sending it skidding across the ground. I jumped above it, and plunged Eclipse's spear form into it's chest, shattering it's stolen aura. I was about to finish it, when I saw dad's face, and couldn't.
I just froze, as it got up and slashed me across the face.
"Poor little hunter, too scared to kill his opponent. Fine, I will kill you then."
The whispers had started again, growing louder and louder as I continued to avoid it, unable to attack for fear of killing dad, as he continued to slowly walk towards me, just watching me burn my energy away. But I knew, the moment I stopped, he would rush me, and I would die.
What could I do to defeat this monster, this titan. A monster that even my dad, a fully fledged huntsman, could not defeat. One that, supposedly, had never been defeated before.
How was it doing all of this, the bones, the blood and flesh, even the moon was not safe from it's nightmarish powers. This made no sense, this is impossible, and yet, it's happening.
"Why do you even try, you know it's Useless to resist"
The whispers echoed it's statement, and even I knew it was the truth
"Useless"
The whispers haunted me, visions flooded my mind, depictions of my body, broken and bloodied on the floor, with it standing over me, laughing.
But then, through all the visions, whispers, and everything else clogging up my mind, one thing came to the forefront of my brain
"Dad, why are silver eyes so important?" I asked
"Well, grimm fear the Silver Eyed Warriors, we are their natural enemies. They can channel the power of light, powered by your emotions, and the grimm fear the power of light."
"Whoa, thats so cool, how do you use them."
"When you are at your lowest, the light will rise."
Silver Eyes, thats it
"I know your weakness, Wraith" I yelled, emboldened by my remembrance. It laughed it's cold, harsh laugh "Oh really, I'm amused, show me your supposed 'weakness' No one has managed to defeat me in 10000 years, you think you will be the first?"
I only said one thing "Yes"
I focused on the pain of my body, broken and bleeding.
I begun to cry, pain wracking my eyes.
I focused on the horror of what I had seen this nightmare create.
My vision blurred and started to whiten, I closed my eyes.
And finally, I focused on the rage I felt towards it for what it had done to my dad.
I screamed and snapped my eyes open, releasing a flash of blinding light
I heard an inhumane scream, and when I could see again, I saw dad's body, returned to normal and the horrific arena gone.
"He's finally dead." I whispered
"Not as dead as you would like to believe." I heard behind me, I turned to see a smokey figure, constantly changing shape. I pulled out Eclipse and swung, but it simply passed through.
"You may have forced me out of possessing your father, but there is nothing stopping me from possessing YOU!" It rushed me and the smoke went up through my nose, and I collapsed.
"What did you do to my son!" I heard dad yell.
I got up, not of my own accord, but of the nightmare currently controlling my body.
I screamed a silent scream in my own head, unable to do anything but watch as It picked up Eclipse, MY WEAPON and swung it around.
"Oh, nothing important, just a little, change of mind!" The Wraith said with a sickly smile and a voice that came from the wilds around.
Dad's face took on a look of pure horror, then fear, and then rage.
"You will not take my son!" He yelled, creating a crystal gladius and began to duel the Wraith.
My scythe moved faster then I'd ever seen, and my dad was quickly outmatched by the Wraith.
"I know your tricks, you monster!" He yelled
"Erebus, I know your still in their somewhere, fight him Erebus. Your stronger than this, this is your body." He kept talking to me "He's not real, he's just a glob of nightmares, like the monster under your bed. He only has the power you give him Erebus, he makes you think he's all powerful with those illusions of a grimm moon and arena's of blood, but it's all an act. He knows that he has no power of his own, without people to feed off of, he's NOTHING. Now show him Erebus!" He yelled
"Thats enough talk from you, old man, I've grown bored of this. NOW DIE."
He took Eclipse, shifted it into spear form, and stabbed dad right through the heart. Before pulling the spear free
"How is that for power." He said smugly
"Erebus, don't... worry about me, just make sure this monster... dies... at your... hands." That was the last thing he said, before his eyes glazed over, and he lay still.
My brain stopped, I couldn't understand what was happening, my dad, was gone? No, no no no no, this can't be happening, this can't be REAL.
I screamed, not a mental scream, but an actual scream from my body. This, this, this... Abomination will die today.
I concentrated all my strength, all my willpower, into one last ditch effort to kill him, or die trying.
"Fight me yourself, you fiend." And I pulled him into my mindscape.
I awoke, in a grassy plain, for a second, I forgot what happened, and then the memories came flooding back.
"Where are you, Wraith" I yelled as I summoned Eclipse.
"What the heck did you do to me?" I heard Wraith yell
"I will kill you for this, I'l kill everyone you love, oh wait, I already did." Itsaid with a sadistic smile.
Chains of smoke rose out of the ground and ensnared me, forcing me to drop Eclipse.
It picked up Eclipse, "Oh, the little Seraphim's weapon. The same weapon that killed your father, will now kill you, how ironic."
It shifted it into spear form, and leveled it at my face
"Good night."
"No, no no no, I will KILL YOU!" The chains snapped like twigs and I blitzed towards it, My weapon flying into my hand at the same time
"This is my mind, you have no power here. I have all the power here."
He looks afraid, for the first time
"I am a grimm titan, I am unstoppable, I am undefeatable, you think you can stop me?"
I raised Eclipse "This spear was once known as Destiny, and now, it has judged your fate to be death, and I am it's Executioner."
My eyes began to burn once again, I closed them, the burning kept intensifying, stronger and stronger and stronger. But instead of opening my eyes, I channeled all of that energy into Eclipse, the crystal glowing bright enough that I could see it through closed eyes. I jumped into the air, and used my ultimate hyper awesome super ultra omega finishing special beam attack.
A giant blaze of light, and I was back in the real world, in control of my own body again. Eclipse clattered to the ground besides me as I weeped.
But then, a glow surrounded dad and, miracalously, he got up "Dad?" I said, disbelieving of my own eyes.
"Son, you did good." He said, and ruffled my hair. My brain was still trying to comprehend what was happening.
"How are you, alive?" I asked.
He smiled sadly "I'm not, son, you unlocked your semblance. I'm just an illusion."
My hopes came crashing down "It's ok, son, You did your best-"
"And it still wasn't good enough!" I yelled, losing my temper.
"And better yet, if your just an illusion, then I'm talking to myself." I cried
"Son, you were up against a grimm titan, no one blames you for what happened, you haven't even received offical training yet, and you still managed to kill a monster that has plagued humanity for 10000 years."
"I guess that's true." I sniffled, my tear ducts having run dry.
That day, I dug a grave, something that would hopefully allow his sacrifice to be remembered
