Azula isn't sure what she was expecting when her dum dum of a brother was dangling her over that cliff. Perhaps he would have finally did what everyone (especially uncle and mother) wants and ended her life. He is the one who put her in that terrible place after all. Perhaps he was hoping she would have been finished off there.

What Azula was not expecting, however, was boomerang boy coming to her rescue.

She supposes that she shouldn't be so surprised, what with him, his sister, and the avatar keeping a close eye on her. They actually seem concerned every time she saw mother, and didn't immediately try to attack her, or shout at her like Zuko did. In fact, boomerang boy always seemed ready to defend her whenever Zuko looked as if he was about to say something to her that wouldn't be pleasant.

Azula doesn't understand why this boy seems to be so attentive to her. It's not like they're friends or anything. And it's not like she wants to be his friend anyway. She's had those before and look how that turned out for her.

Boomerang boy (seriously, what is his name? For the life of her she can't remember) is at the top of the bison's head, talking with the avatar and his sister. About what, she doesn't know, but it might be about what they plan on doing with her once they get back to the palace. For some reason the lemur has decided to stay in the back with her, and is currently sleeping in her lap.

She has yet to push him off of her and can't figure out why that is.

"We can't take her back to the asylum." Azula hears the avatar say.

Wait, asylum?

Everything is suddenly numb to Azula, and she no longer hears the conversation. All she hears is that one word, asylum, and mother's voice saying "The asylum is where you belong, Azula."

Azula doesn't know what they plan on doing to her.

But what she does know is that she doesn't want to go back to the asylum.

"Listen you guys, I don't think we should take Azula back to the asylum. I don't know all the details about what went on there, but they weren't helping her get better at all. They just made her worse. And from what little I could gather from Zuko, those doctors lied to him about her condition."

Sokka looks back and forth between Aang and Katara, waiting for a response. He knows that Aang will probably take his side on the matter, because that's just who he is. But Katara? He doesn't know what she'll say. She may just refuse to help Azula at all. It's not like Sokka can blame her if that's what she decides. Azula did nearly kill her during that agni kai after all. And unlike Aang, his sister knows how to hold a grudge.

After a few seconds pass, Katara speaks up " You're right, Sokka. I don't like her at all, but even she doesn't deserve whatever the hell they did to her in that horrid place."

Aang looks at the two of them and nods " We can't take her back to the asylum. Where should we take her to receive help, then?"

Katara has a contemplative look on her face before she responds "Maybe we should shelf this discussion until we get back to the palace. We can go over this with Iroh and see what he thinks."

Sokka snorts. The old man is Zuko's right hand, and from what he can tell, doesn't really seem to care about Azula at all. He doubts that he will be much help. Instead of saying this however, Sokka decides to go back into the saddle to check on Azula.

The sight before him nearly makes his heart stop.
