Eons Ago, In a time long forgotten.
A battle waged over an Impressive city, with buildings touching the heavens, metal streets and Impressive magical feats. Surrounding the city was a massive Army of Beasts, creatures and Beings of Monstrous forms. Alone, at the city center stood a wounded Warrior. His Chest Bare, with countless sigils and markings across his body. Blood spilling over his left eye from a cut on his forehead. An Energy Sword in his right hand, and a Futuristic Revolver in the other. Across from this man, laughing and mocking him was a roughly humanoid creature.
Covered in scales and with mighty horns, it chuckled at its foe. The Lone Warrior coughs up Blood.
"Damn… You, Daegon. You Demon." The Named Daegon Chuckles, his voice a rasp.
"You should have known Stratikar, That you defend a Dead City. Nay! A Dead Empire!-" The Warrior roars, cutting off the Demon.
"AS LONG AS I HAVE BREATH, THE PEOPLE OF BABEL LIVE!" That has done it, the Warrior falls to his Knees, The Strength fading from him. the Demon mocks him once more.
"Face it Gaius. We have won. Your Empire will crumble… Your People will be nothing more than Cattle!" The Demon summons a lance to his side, preparing to strike the Warrior dead. As it does so, a final Idea Enters the Babelonian's Mind. A Spell, a powerful one. A magic circle slowly forms on the palm of the Warrior's Hand. The Demon Lunges forward with great strength and speed! Just before the Demon's lance struck the Warrior, Time Froze…
Chapter 1: A Man out of Time.
I felt the shock wave from the strike hit the Magical Barrier. It shattered and I found myself flying backwards dozens of feet, slamming my head into a stone. I groan, rubbing my head. I look around to find the once, great and beautiful plaza, now buried underground. I was in some sort of small chasm. The Only thing keeping me from being crushed, a large broken statue. I slowly get up, walking to the Statue. After uncovering the Moss, My expression falls to Sorrow. Memories from before flood my mind. The War, the Screams… The Blood. The Statue was of Emperor Medean the 4th. Arguably the greatest Emperor the Empire has ever seen. I growl, hiding my Tears from the eyesight of the Statue. Tears of Shame, and Anguish. I had failed to defend the City. I grunt, looking over my Wounds. They seemed to have mostly healed during Stasis. Yet, I was still weakened.
He sighs to himself, All was not lost yet. With luck, He had only been in Stasis for a year, as intended. He creates a complex magical circle, casting a spell to gently remove the build up of rock, stone, and earth. All the while, on top of the Seal. As Dirt gives way to sunlight. He gasps… Instead of a Ruined City, with the rotting corpses of Millions. He fines himself in a massive forest. Gaius falls to his knees. The Magical Circle glowing gently in the forest night.
'H-how… Long have I been down there…' He thinks to himself. He wipes his face, sweat and dirt smeared over his hand. Looking down to his Uniform, he casts a quick spell to repair it, creating a cloak and hood, he covers himself. Stepping off the magic circle, he takes a deep breath. Now was the time for reconnaissance, Adapt or Die, as his old master would say.
"Greater Reflex" He mumbles to himself, a blue magic aura flashes over him. "Greater Speed." Once again, an Aura of Magic flashes over him, this time, Yellow. Bending down, making a posture like a Cat about to pounce on its prey. Gaius Leaps forward with great speed! Faster than any normal man, he leaps tree to tree, bouncing landing to landing. He quickly finds a very Tall tree and climbs to its top. Using Magic to enhance his sight, he spots a fairly large town in the distance. He sighs in relief. He wasn't completely screwed over. As powerful as he was, and while he recovered some due to Stasis, He was not at full power. As he was about to launch to the next tree, he heard the Howl of a Werewolf in the distance. He Freezes, memories of those foul Wolf-Creatures. Beasts that would maul off the arms and legs of men and women alike. Gaius quickly withdraws his Mana, like holding his breath. After a moment, he mentally locks his Mana away before once more resuming his operation. To those who could sense Mana (Mainly Monsters), he had vanished into nothing. As he approaches the Town, the Sun gently pokes its benevolent head over the horizon. After a few more moments, the sun-rise cakes the town in its gentle Glow.
As Gaius Passes the entrance to the town, his Heart Stops at the sight. Before him was a quickly bustling Town of Monsters… Yet what shocked him most of all….
"THEY HAVE TITS!?"
Chapter: End.
