Soran's Parents;

Circe Streiber (Mother) - Circe Streiber is the only one in her family who has gained magical abilities, the rest of her family however would be considered muggle and so, she is a muggle born witch. However, she is not human. She was born a vampire. Her family name is well known throughout the Vampire community, her family are one of the richest around and known for their dark history. There are rumours of the Streiber having worked with dark wizards and witches, a family you should never mess with. In her human form, Circe has a slim build and reaches to 5'8''. She has blonde hair, stormy grey eyes and (Y/s/c) skin (with a pale complexion). She is a very cold natured woman to everyone including her children. She only cares deeply for her husband and treats him with respect.

Arsenius Desford (Father) - Arsenius Desford is a pureblood wizard who studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1968 - 1975. He was brought up on strict rules that Purebloods were superior to all other bloods, especially Muggle-borns. He was good friends with Lucius Malfoy along with Narcissa and Bellatrix Black and all shared a disliking towards James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. Unlike his wife, he somewhat cares for his children but his bond is much stronger with Circe. He puts her before anything else. Arsenius is a handsome wizard who stands to 6'2'' with a lean build. He has black hair, green eyes and pale skin.

The two met at a family gathering and despite Circe's cold nature, she came around to liking Arsenius rather quickly. When they came out with their relationship, it was deeply frowned upon from both families and caused a lot of tension between their parents; however they reluctantly went along with their children's wishes to accept them. The pair now mainly keep to themselves, not having many friends.

Soran's Siblings;

Circe and Arsenius had 5 children altogether, Soran being the 4th born and only girl in the family. She is very treasured amongst her brothers however she is closest to her eldest and younger brother. Knowing how their parents are they made a promise to look out for each other and have learnt to live independently and dependently on each other. All children inherited half vampire, half wizard abilities. Their vampire form does not show itself until the age of 13, however they still show some physical signs like their teeth, eyes and greyish skin colour or their inhuman speed and strength.

Cassius Desford (First born) - Born in 1976, Cassius inherited his father's black hair and his mother's grey eyes. As the eldest of the Desford children, he finds it his sole responsibility to look after his younger siblings, especially after he realises how much his parents don't really care for them. He's very protective of (Y/n), being that she is his only sister but holds a strong bond with the others too.

Finnian and Emrys Desford (2nd and 3rd born) - Born in 1978, Finnian and Emrys are Arsenius' and Circe's non identical twin boys, who although look nothing alike, their mannerisms are exactly the same as most twins. They're both the smartest in the family and both respect that of each other. They never boast about how smart they are, learning from their sister who they see as the closest to their level. The twins are very stoic and don't show much emotions toward people they don't know. Despite not seeming to show much care for anyone, they are always on the lookout for their sister. She is the only one they will listen to. Finnian is the eldest twin by 4 minutes. Finnian has taken his mother's blonde hair and grey eyes while Emrys has taken after their father with his black hair, however his eyes are a lighter shade of green.

Soran Desford (4th born and only girl) - Born in 1980/1981, (Y/n) is the only girl of the Desford children. She is a quiet individual and stoic at first like her twin brothers but when she meets someone she likes, she'll open up gradually. Unlike her mother and grandparents, she is much kinder, eager to learn how to socialise with others. Most of her life, she and her brothers have put up with their parents' rejection and neglect and because of this, she holds a strong hatred for them. They had been homeschooled for most of their life but when (Y/n) receives her letter she somehow convinces her parents to let her and her older brothers go. She has a strong, slender build with black/blonde hair and green/grey eyes.

Inigo Desford (5th born) - Born in 1982. Inigo is the youngest and most likely, the final child of Arsenius and Circe. He is most likely not yet able to go to Hogwarts, therefore he must stay at home and be looked after by a nanny. He is very different from his siblings, being the one who's more outgoing and friendly, he is open to meeting anybody, being cooped up in his family's mansion has become boring and he is very excited to get his letter. He is the most optimistic of the Desford children. Inigo has inherited his mothers blonde hair and grey eyes. He is often shut down by his parents whenever he is enjoying himself around the house and 'trying' to play games with his siblings.

Anatomy: Human Form

In human form, they can withstand the sun easily, the only thing that affects them would be the temperature. In temperatures around 16°-22° celsius, vampires will not need protection from the sun, however anything above 22°, vampires will need to protect themselves, they may have to spend a lot of time in the shade or carry an umbrella.

Vampires in human form are typically pale or have a pale complexion, their tips of their ears are somewhat pointed but barely noticeable.

Another way of differentiating a human from a vampire is from their eyes, if you catch them in the right light, you may catch a red glint in them. The canine teeth of a vampire look similar to regular human beings.

In human form, Vampires can use only 40% of their powers, ie. their speed, durability, strength and agility.

Vampire Form

Vampires can only fully transform until they are 13.

In Vampire form, they can not withstand the sunlight at all.

The human form is there as protection as well as a disguise.

A Vampire's nature merely depends on who they are as a being, you can either get friendly or evil vampires.

Vampires are not pretty creatures unlike their human form, they are much more monstrous regardless of whether they are good or bad.

They can either stand upright or travel on all fours (usually when they are running to gain more speed).

When in this form, they stand to about 6-8 ft (depending on age, younglings will reach to about 6ft and eventually grow to 8ft).

They are skinny and lanky creatures with a toned body, useful for agility and speed.

They have powerful legs which enable them to leap up to high places.

Their skin is smooth and cold to touch.

Their teeth are needle-like, long and thin, the canines being slightly longer than the others.

They have the ability to break/stretch their jaws wider when they are about to feed or fight another being. It is considered a scare tactic they use.

Some vampires may grow wings at some point in their growth.
