A few weeks have passed since Naruto first entered the academy. He would gain a reputation as someone who is smart and strong but also funny and a prankster.
He regularly pranked the academy's teacher but there was no actual proof to prove the pranks were done by Naruto.
The culprit was unknown and the pranks were done so that there were no leads leading to Naruto. Iruka, however, knew. He knew that the culprit had to be Naruto. Sadly he couldn't prove it.
Naruto's prankster side wasn't the only side that Iruka disliked. The other side that Iruka hates is the side of Naruto that was barely known by very few. Even the civilians didn't know this secret. The secret to what Naruto had inside him. The demon inside him that had killed so many people including Iruka's parents.
Iruka, however, quickly came to see that Naruto was in no way shape, or form affected by this demon. Naruto was an Uchiha and had a demon inside him but he was actually one of the kindest people out there. A kindness many people came to know.
Naruto would soon get used to the fangirls and would turn them down with kindness. While many preferred Naruto, they quickly noticed that he wouldn't give them much attention, unlike Sasuke. So the fangirls bothered Sasuke the most while some admired Naruto in secret.
Naruto was pretty good friends with Shikamaru and Choji as they would also hang out after school here and then. He also met the arrogant Kiba and the quiet Shino and Hinata but he didn't spend as much time with them.
The class was as loud as ever while Naruto, Shikamaru, and Choji quietly waited for Iruka to arrive in class finally.
It wouldn't take long as Iruka would arrive and start the lecture.
A knock on the door was heard and soon after, a man would come in with a small box in his hand.
"This box was delivered by one of the Third Hokage's Shinobi. He instructed to open it as soon as you get it in your hands," he said giving the box to Iruka and quickly got out.
Iruka looked at the box as he got ready to open it. He was curious as to why the Third Hokage would send him this box but it had to be important if he sent it with instructions to open it immediately.
Naruto looked to his right. "Close your eyes," he instructed quietly.
Shikamaru sighed and said, "Troublesome," while Choji was excited thinking about what Naruto would come up with this time.
As soon as Iruka opened the box, it would shine a very bright light forcing everyone to close their eyes. Then it would explode spreading glitter around in class. Iruka got the most of it but the first three rows also got quite a bit of glitter spread everywhere.
Naruto was barely able to hold his laugh back same with Choji. Shikamaru only sighed and hoped he wouldn't get in trouble.

Naruto was visiting Shikamaru's house. It was nice. This time he also met Shikaku, Shikamaru's father.
They were in their yard where they would often play Shogi.
Shikamaru actually liked it when Naruto visited. While Naruto's personality usually suggested that he was dumb, he was actually really smart. He actually had Shikamaru struggling in Shogi and sometimes even losing.
Naruto knew that the only reason Shikamaru would lose at times was that he was still young. While they were the same age, Naruto was more knowledgeable by a margin. Naruto was basically "forced" to learn as much as he could.
Shikaku, Shikamaru's father, was surprised by this. The Nara clan typically don't lose in a game of Shogi but then again Shikamaru was still young and Naruto was exceptionally smart. Shikaku was now curious if Naruto was equally strong as he was smart.
"Naruto. Why don't you and Shikamaru spar? While he doesn't look like it, I trained Shikamaru until now and I'm confident in his abilities," said Shikaku gaining Naruto's attention.
"You never told me you actually trained!" said Naruto to which Shikamaru sighed.
"Because I knew you would want to test my abilities,"
"So?"
"It's troublesome,"
Naruto gave him a disappointed look. "Let's go,"
Shikamaru stared at Naruto, too lazy to even stand up. He then looked at his father to help him out but as he expected his father wouldn't help him. He sighed yet again.
"Fine," said Shikamaru as he stood a few meters before Naruto ready to fight.
Shikaku was excited. He was really curious as to what the Uchiha was capable of.
They both showed the sign of confrontation and the battle began.
Naruto rushed at Shikamaru faster than Shikaku would expect but not faster than Shikamaru would expect. He already knew Naruto was a trained Uchiha.
He quickly prepared his Jutsu and his shadow stretched out. Naruto saw this and jumped up sideways. The shadow would stretch, following where Naruto would land.
Naruto quickly formed a Shadow Clone that appeared under him.
"Don't you dare-," said the Clone until Naruto stepped on him to jump in a distance where the shadow couldn't reach.
Naruto then stood in front of Shikamaru and formed a dozen clones that surrounded him.
"Shadow Imitation Field Technique," said Shikamaru as the Shadow would stretch in a circle around him catching all of the Clones in a mere moment. "There,"
Naruto smiled. Suddenly all Clones raised their arms pointing their index and middle finger at Shikamaru. While they struggled a little bit, this shadow wasn't as strong as to hold Naruto.
Shikamaru looked in confusion. Suddenly all the Clones started expanding as Shikamaru knew what was going on. 'Exploding Clones?' he thought with annoyance as he jumped up. The Clones created a huge explosion but luckily it didn't reach high enough to hit Shikamaru.
Shikamaru then quickly turned around having felt someone. It was Naruto. Shikamaru quickly grabbed Naruto by his arms and threw him down creating a small crater where Naruto landed with his head down. Shikamaru landed nearby as they, once again, stood in front of each other.
"You are gonna lose!" said Naruto until finally, he couldn't even move anymore. Shikamaru had caught him in his Jutsu, Naruto was shocked. 'He is quick in his Jutsu casting,'
"Shadow–neck Binding Technique," said Shikamaru as he was about one step away from Naruto. The shadow stretched all over Naruto's body as he could actually feel the shadow. At the end of the shadow, a shape of a hand could be seen.
"What is this?" asked Naruto curiously. Normally, one can't feel shadows. The shadow hand would stretch and stretch until it finally reached Naruto's neck.
"Give up," said Shikamaru as Naruto smiled. Suddenly the entire scenario changed as Shikamaru felt the cold touch of a Kunai on his neck.
"How?!" asked Shikamaru in surprise.
"Genjutsu," said Naruto giggling. "Sure you trained on your clan's Jutsu but as it seems, Genjutsu is your weak point,"
"What do you mean? My Shadow Release is a Yin Style same as Genjutsu. Having trained on Yin Release, I should have a small immunity to Genjutsu,"
"That is true but the level of Genjutsu that Naruto over here used was much, much higher than anything you could handle," said Shikaku surprised by the level of power Naruto showed. Shikaku was sure that Naruto wasn't even close to using his full power. 'If that is right then he must be high Genin to low Chuunin level' he thought as yet again an Uchiha prodigy had appeared.
"You are right, Shikakau-San," said Naruto giggling.
Shikamaru looked at Naruto. He had just noticed that the gap in power between the two was larger than he initially thought.

Naruto was in the Uchiha clan district. He couldn't help but wonder why the clan would send him hateful glares and why they got worse and worse. He kept thinking that it was unimportant. He already had his loved ones. Sadly, they had even less and less time to spend with Naruto. The atmosphere around the district was also much heavier but that was not something everyone could notice.
Naruto was walking home until a familiar person stood before him.
"Sasuke? What do you want?"
"Naruto... you've gotten pretty popular. I think it's finally time I showed you why I am superior to you," said Sasuke getting in his battle stance.
"I'm sorry, what?" asked Naruto curiously. He had no idea what he meant but didn't even have the time to think about it since Sasuke was rushing in his direction.
Throwing punch after punch, Sasuke grew annoyed to see them dodged or blocked by Naruto with ease. Sasuke would throw a swift kick making Naruto fly backward.
'What is his plan?' thought Naruto curiously as he decided to stay on the defense.
Sasuke quickly formed hand signs after throwing the kick. "Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!" he called as a big ball of fire flew out of Sasuke's mouth in Naruto's direction.
'This level of Fire Style is laughable. I'll show him actual Fire,' thought Naruto as he formed his own hand sign. Suddenly, a flashback hit him.
Itachi was teaching Naruto how to improve his Fire Style. It had come to Itachi's attention that Naruto was becoming pretty cocky.
"Naruto, I want to make sure you know this. Never... Never use your powers on your friends and family. No matter how strong you become, you have to know that using them on those close to you is wrong," said Itachi while a younger Naruto listened carefully.
Naruto sighed as Sasuke's Fire Ball hit him on his right side. Naruto fell down as the fire died down. His right arm had burn marks all over as Sasuke stood up before him smirking.
"Let this be a warning. I am, Sasuke Uchiha, the next clan head. Whatever you do, you'll always be beneath me," said Sasuke smirking as he walked away.
"Damn, he's cocky," said Naruto to himself as he stood up dusting himself off. His arm was already healed up but his shirt was still a little burned up.

Naruto and some other kids, including Shikamaru and Choji, were in a park.
"Alright, let's decide on the seeker!" said Naruto as everyone was around him.
"You do it this time,"
"Yea! Your hiding spots are impossible to find!"
"Really? Alright I'll do it," said Naruto as he got ready to count. Shikamaru was sitting on a bench as usual as he was too lazy to play.
Naruto, of course, didn't use his Chakra as it would be too easy to find them. He covered his eyes and started counting as he heard everyone looking for their hiding places.
"Ready or not here I come!" said Naruto as he finished counting and uncovered his eyes. He looked around grinning. 'Hehe, while using scent to find them can be considered cheating I'll use it anyway. Kiba does it all the time and I'll only use it on him,' thought Naruto. Sure, Kiba could hide his scent well, but it wasn't good enough for Naruto.
The hiding places for most of the kids were pathetic. Under the slide or the like but Naruto didn't care. His goal was Kiba.
He followed his scent which lead outside of the park. 'He actually climbed a tree huh?' thought Naruto as he jumped up into the leaves. "Found you," said Naruto in a friendly voice as he grabbed Kiba by the collar of his shirt.
"How did you find me this easy? You bastard let me go!" said Kiba as he was hanging now because of Naruto. He continued swinging his arms and legs but to no avail.
"Now now," said Naruto as he let Kiba go but he didn't expect it and fell face down.
Almost everyone started laughing and at this point, everyone just gave up as they gave their hiding places away.
"Hehehe," snickered Naruto while rubbing his nose. "Do better next time,"
"You arrogant... fight me right now!" said Kiba trying to regain his pride.
Naruto now started laughing. "You know how that will end up anyways," he said with Kiba staying quiet now. He had challenged him multiple times trying to become the 'top alpha' or whatever he would call it but would lose pathetically every time. Naruto was only arrogant when the situation deemed it necessary. This time it was arrogance vs arrogance.
The game would continue until dawn as everyone had fun. Sadly, even fun times must come to an end as parents would come to pick their children up one after one.
"We'll see each other tomorrow, Naruto" said Choji waving his hand as he left with his father.
Shikamaru did the same and now he was pretty much alone in the park. Naruto quietly sat on a bench deciding to wait for a little before going home, laying his head back.
Naruto thought of all the fun times he had with his friends up until now. "Ah... it has been fun," said Naruto to himself as he fell asleep.
...
Naruto woke up with a sharp pain in his chest, gasping for air. He fell to his knees and punched the ground in fear. He felt fear for whatever reason. It didn't take long for everything to be back to normal.
'What the hell was that?! A nightmare?' thought Naruto questioning himself. 'Or was it because it's cold at this time of night?'
Naruto started walking back home. Soon he would arrive in his clan's district. Before he took a turn, he heard someone.
"I can't believe Itachi would do that..." said a man in his thirties. Naruto hid his presence listening to what they were talking about. What did Itachi do?
"Always thought he was suspicious but to think he would do something like that," said another man. Panic in both of their voices.
"Yeah. To think he would actually kill..." The man went quiet, unable to finish his sentence. However, the other one did it for him but with a tone filled with disbelief. "...Shisui."
Naruto's eyes widened. The sharp pain returned but this time, in full force. Unrelenting. And a turmoil of emotions surged. Unpleasant ones but the strongest ones were grief, loss, and anger. With the internal turmoil he had but one goal in his mind. Find Itachi and find out the truth
'Please, god. Please let it be a lie,' thought Naruto as tears slowly gathered in his eyes. He burst at speeds he had never before. 'He couldn't have done something like that. Not to Shisui,' tears flowed like buckets as he imagined his big brother dying. The one he looked up to the most. 'Not Shisui. No, please! Not you,'
He reached his house and slammed the door open. He saw a lone Itachi. "Nisan! Tell me it's a lie!" Naruto screamed. No, he begged.
Itachi, stoically as always, looked at Naruto. He was silent. This time, however, his mask broke. There were hints of sadness behind his eyes.
Naruto noticed that. His eyes widened again realizing the rumor might be true."No... Itachi... no. Please... tell me it's a lie." Itachi didn't say anything. The silence was suffocating. The younger Uchiha, upon hearing nothing, exploded in anger.
"Tell me god damnit! TELL ME YOU DIDN'T KILL HIM!" yelled Naruto. His eyes burned crimson in rage as he reached for his brother. He slammed his fists on his older brother's chest bawling his eyes out.
Itachi's eyes widened in shock, seeing the reflection of Naruto's heart in his gaze. Full of hate and all of it directed at him. But quickly, the older brother reigned in his shock, back behind his mask. "I can't lie to you Naruto. Never expect that from me. I just hope I taught you everything I could," said Itachi as he left the room.
Naruto tried to chase Itachi but fell to his knees. His strength was gone. All of it was used as he hit Itachi and none of it was left.
"What do you mean by that?!" Naruto asked. He yelled at Itachi. However, he got no reply. He stood there, in silence for a while, still in disbelief but he had heard it from his brother's lips. Shisui was gone. Moments later, he stood up and waddled toward his room. When he arrived, he went towards his bed and fell on rage was drained and all that was left by now was sorrow.
Naruto fell asleep in tears.

And I'm finally done with this chapter. Lots of emotions I had to think about during the last part.
What are your thoughts on Naruto's reaction to the news? I was honestly proud. If someone thinks that Naruto will be similar to Sasuke in canon then I have one tip for you. Just wait and see.
There was also the Shikamaru vs Naruto part which was also interesting.
The next chapter will be a lot more interesting, as you might imagine hehehe.
