The 12 years old Putzie was sitting on his bed upset, because his older brother Phil Jacobs was leaving for the army after Christmas. Just then his best friend Danny came into the room and shut the door behind him. "Hey buddy." Danny said.
Putzie just looked up at his best friend and Danny let out a sigh.
"Listen buddy, I know you're upset." Danny started as he sat down next to his youngest best friend. "But you're not alone."
"Yeah but he's gonna be gone for a long time and I'm scared that something will happen to him." Putzie told him.
"Hey buddy, we're all gonna miss him too, but you are not alone, you have your parents, your soon-to-be baby siblings, the guys, our Godfamilies…but most importantly, you have me." Danny told him.
Putzie looks up at him.
"You got me for a big brother." Danny smiled.
Putzie gave him a warm smile.
"You were always my brother, even though we're not related." Putzie told him.
Danny smiled warmly.
"Hey, let's go over to my house and see my baby sis Daisy and my little niece." Danny said.
"Kay," Putzie replied as they both stood up. "Hey um, Danny…"
"You don't need to say it, I'm always here for ya and would do anything for you." Danny said.
Putzie gave him a hug, Danny hugged him back before they both walked out of the room to go to Danny's house.
