"Tsurugi~ I'm bored."
"Quit shoving me idiot."
A male with neck-length chestnut-brown hair shaped like whirls of wind or wings, and grayish-blue eyes, whines as he playfully shoves a male with short spiky dark navy blue hair with an awkward curled ponytail in the back and curled spiral shaped ringlets at the side, who scoffs in response.
"Why can't schools just let us play soccer?"
"They do, but we need to learn other stuff than soccer, Tenma."
"Ahhhh, but they are boring~"
"This is why you always get average in class."
Both of them banter like always on their way to Raimon High School. They don't notice a slight distortion in space near Tenma's leg.
"I'm just saying, I would rather practice that Hissatu technique I told you about."
"You can always practice it later, just keep studying and –"
Tsurugi stops as he sees a metal glint flying at him from his right side, prompting him to instinctively duck, yet now the knife is flying at Tenma, who widens his eyes before trying to duck.
The distortion near Tenma's leg slowly reveals a finger sticking out of it. The finger emits a white light that shoots out toward him.
Then Tenma disappears, leaving behind his bag in his wake, just as the knife flies above him, hitting a wall instead.
"Tenma?!" Tsurugi screams as he drops his own bag, desperately searching around to no avail. He turns to look at the direction of the flying knife and sees a young boy running away, "YOU!"
Elsewhere, an old man is lounging on a couch while eating pizza and watching T.V, showing him a scene of a hooded figure fighting with a female with long green and yellow hair with cat ears.
"Yes! Break his bones!" The old man cheers as he raises a pizza slice up to the air.
"Master, the newest batch have finished their training." A female with long red hair, wearing a maid costume, bows as she reports.
"Excellent. Now I can upgrade this house to a mansion and have people clean it up." The old man notices a bright light coming from behind the T.V, making him get up from his couch, "Another one… Maybe I should recall those hands back…"
The light dies down, revealing Tenma blinking as he looks around, "…Where am I?" He notices the old man and maid, the former holding a stick and hunching his back like those old men with back problems.
"O lost soul, rejoice! For you shall embark on another journey in a different world. Now, you will not be alone, for I shall provide you with companions who shall share your life and death."
"Wait, wait, sir, I already have companions like that! Please send me back!"
"I am sorry but your time in that world has come to an end, hence you will be reincarnated to another world to continue living. Now… I shall choose the number of your companions." A box materializes itself in between them, then the old man sticks his hand into the box and rummages around.
The old man stops and slowly pulls out a stick then checks the number, only for his eyes to widen and he laughs, "HAHAHA, I never expected someone to top his record so soon! Congratulations, you have earned one hundred and nine soulmates!" He holds the stick, with the number 109 in dark red, out for Tenma to see.
The old man snaps his fingers and a portal materializes in front of Tenma, "Hurry on, go into the portal. I can't wait to enjoy watching you struggle."
"Sir, please, you can't!" Tenma screams as he is pulled into the portal, then it vanishes, leaving behind not a single trace of the teenager.
"…You have a sick humor, Master."
"I am bored. I would rather eat myself than be bored."

Ok, ok, hear me out before I get stabbed to death by the comments. I was watching Inazuma Eleven Chrono Stone for nostalgia since I watched the show back when I was a kid(8 years old) and I remembered that I lamented on how the girls design were cute, yet there was no romance, and wanted to do a fic about them but long story short, I didn't. Honestly, I could have done a one-shot style of romance involving Tenma and the girls, but for some reason, I just didn't want to do it and with the amount of yaoi's and just the lack of my fav femalexmale fics, yeah I was like screw it, I'll make a fic. Anyway with my excuses done that I hope can protect me, I just want to say that I hate my luck and thought process sometimes. For some fucking reason, my brain decided to yolo it and put 0-679 in a random number generator and the number it gave me was 109. Welp, the RNG gods have spoken so 109 it will be.
