Chapter 1: Ray Ferrier.
"The tenth fleet is being pushed back by the harvesters as we speak, we are running out of time. the resistance must not end, it is time we fulfilled our promise to the terrans." A tall, grey skinned figure suggested. Clasping his hands together.
"Agreed, the humans are weakened on earth, as was the desired effect for when the precursors exiled them there. but beyond this solar system, their gifts, locked within their very genetic code, should return." Another Martian replied.
"The precursors were fools...jealous of the humans technological intelligence and abilities, they felt threatened and convinced the alliance that the humans could not be trusted. The very allies who had saved the universe again and again, tossed aside like waste." Another martian hissed in anger.
"Calm yourself Councilman Kr'evanna. the past no longer takes precedence, only the future remains. And I know for a fact, that without the humans...the universe is surely doomed."
Earth: 12:22PM. New York City.
"Ray, I'm sorry but you got seven days to find the money or you and your kid are out of there."
Ray sighed. Once again, he was given notice by his landlord that without payment...he and his son would be evicted from their home.
(Years Ago)
After the divorce, in which Ray lost Robbie and Rachel to their mother and her lover. Ray felt alone, Without a purpose.
He often drank himself to sleep, finding a girl to occupy his nights with until the day came.
It became a cycle of drink, find a girl, go home and well...you get the picture.
However, one day, a young baby boy was deposited on his doorstep. wrapped in a brown coat, One that he used to wear when he went out for nights on the town.
he had lost it awhile ago, and obviosly his lover had taken it while he had slept.
"Dear Ray
I did not have a choice, My parents wanted me to have our beautiful son aborted. But I could not let that happen, he reminded me of you. Of the man I loved, even for a single night. The man who impregnated me, who was the gentlest person I had ever met.
His name Is Justin, our son in case you were wondering. He is such a calm baby, he rarelly cries and just smiles. He loves people.
I had to hide my pregnancy from my parents and thankfully my friends were able to help me, but now that I have Justin in my arms...I have to let him go.
My family would never accept a child out of wedlock, So I had to do what was best for him. And give him to his father, You.
Take care of our baby Ray, Goodbye.
Julianna Hazorina. xoxoxo
That day had both been exciting and stressful, He had another chance at fatherhood! And this time, he would not let his kids down.
(Modern Day)
"Dad, if you let me use my contraptions we could save enough money for ten houses." Justin said.
Ray sighed, he didnt know how, considering his family line had never been particularly smart. But his son was born a genius.
He understood advanced physics by age eight, he hacked into the Pentagon on a dare by age eleven and he continued to excel in pretty much everything as he grew.
He invented numerous devices to help his dad in every day life. A small fusion reactor, fueled by waste and trash. Similar to the Mr Fusion tech as seen in the Back To The Future Movie.
And many other devices.
But his father refused to use them, fearing for his son's life. He knew some black ops agency would grab him as soon as they could. Not just for his mind, but for his...abilities.
Oh yeah, his son had freaking super powers. who knew?
Telepathy, Telekinesis, Electricity Manipulation and Technopathic Abilities.
At least, that is what his son described them. To Ray, they were Reading peoples minds, creating lightning with his fingertips and being able to pick up things with his brain aswell as control any and all kinds of technology.
He loved his son, but he was also...weird.
At the end of the day, Ray had a son to look after, a job to do. And a life to live.
That was of course, Until The quadropods came.
