Chapter 2: Making Plans

Snackasm: You got that right. Thx for reviewing

"Crystal what's wrong?" Alex asked.

Crystal finished squealing and spoke.

"Nothing Daddy, I won." she told.

"Crystal congratulations." said Alex, hugging her.

Then Amanda came into the room, and Miranda came home from work.

"What's going on?" Amanda wondered.

"Is there a party going on in here?" Miranda wanted to know.

"Crystal won, Miranda."

"Oh how exciting, what did you win baby?"

"I won an essay contest and for my prize I got six VIP tickets for 4*Town's next concert." Crystal explained.

"Congratulations, baby." congratulated Miranda.

"Where's the concert?" questioned Amanda.

"Ottawa."

"Where we used to live? What a coincidence." replied Alex.

"I have to tell my friends, they're not going to believe this."

The next day at school, Crystal hurried to find her friends.

"Guys, guys, you won't believe what happened last night." she told them.

"You got a new wig?" asked Tyler.

"No."

"You and Amanda got in a fight?" Abby questioned.

"No."

"Your mom had a really cool story about a dead body?" Priya wondered.

"And if yes can you share it?"

"No."

"You saw a great show on TV?" guessed Miriam.

"No."

"Well tell us Crystal." Mei told her.

"Last night in the mail I got these."

Crystal reached into her backpack, and pulled out the tickets. The others were completely shocked.

"Are those what I think they are?" Abby gasped.

"Yep."

"Tickets for the 4*Town concert." replied Tyler.

"VIP and one for each of us."

Everyone cheered.

"This is so awesome." said Priya.

"Yeah. But...the concert is still in another city." mentioned Miriam.

That made the friends mellow out.

"That's true." said Mei.

"Don't worry guys, I got us these tickets, I can figure out a way to get us there." Crystal assured.

That night, Crystal told her parents about the concert and where it was.

"There must be a way my friends and I can go." she told them.

"Well Crystal it's not that we're saying "no", but this concert is in another city." Miranda said to her daughter.

"But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, Mama."

"You know, I may have a solution." Alex piped up.

"What is it, Daddy?"

"I got a call earlier today from my boss, and she wanted to know if I could go on a business trip to Ottawa in a few months."

"What kind of business?" Miranda asked.

"Some of the other doctors are having some meetings to discuss new methods to treat mental illnesses."

"So you think you could take us?"

"I may. If it's okay with your friends and their families."

"Thanks, Daddy."

Crystal then threw her arms around her father. And Alex hugged her back. Crystal went back to her room, and texted her friends what her dad had said. The others couldn't believe it, and they texted back that they would talk to their parents.

After listening to their kids, the adults decided to meet up. Alex and Miranda spoke the other parents about Alex possibly taking the kids to Ottawa so they could see the concert. At first, they were a little skeptical, but then eventually, they agreed.

However Ming still wasn't sure.

"I'm not sure. Mei Mei has never been out of the city without us."

"She's getting older, Ming." Jin reminded gently.

Ming knew her husband was right, even though she was getting better at letting Mei grow. There were still times where she could still be a little overbearing and protective.

"Right, right. But Alex are you sure you can handle five teenage girls and a one teenage guy?" Ming wanted to know.

"I'm sure I could. I mean I'm around mentally unstable people I can handle a few teenagers."

"I suppose. But I think I'd feel a little more comfortable, if you had another adult around."

"That sounds reasonable." Miranda replied.

"Great, I'll go along." Ming quickly volunteered.

"Uh, Ming." Jin told her.

They silently excused themselves.

"Don't you remember that letter we got from 4*Town's manager?" Ming winced.

"Oh right."

Last year after Ming had crashed 4*Town's concert in her panda form, she received a letter from the boys' manager. It said that they weren't happy that Ming had put their boys in danger, but they wouldn't sue as long as Ming stayed away from them.

"Don't worry, I'll go along." Jin assured.

Ming smiled a little and then they went back to the Parkers.

"Well I would be happy to accompany you." Jin told Alex.

"Great." Alex replied.

The next day at school, the friends gathered together in the hallway.

"So what did your parents say?" Crystal asked.

"My parents said I could go." Tyler informed.

"Mine too!" Abby yelled.

"My parents said yes." Priya said.

"I'm going too." added Miriam.

"And my dad's going along." Mei told.

"And my dad's going to take us there. It's official, we're seeing 4*Town!" Crystal declared.

And they all cheered. They were seeing 4*Town and nothing was going to stop them.
