The sky roared with lightning.

The sea raged endlessly.

The grounds were shattered open.

Screams and battlecries filled the air.

Castle Grandlock was under heavy attack by the demons, and the opposing forces were winning.

Two warriors were seen taking cover behind the rubbles of what was once a temple.

"Harith, you have to go! You have to warn Eruditio about that demon!" One of them commanded as he held his bloodied arm.

"No! I'm not gonna leave you guys here!" A humanoid cat said as he kneeled beside the other.

They were the famed Lightborns, Moniyan Empire's finest fighters trained to their fullest potential.

The man was known as Alucard, Lightborn's Striker. One of the greatest demon hunter throughout the Land, who was apparently losing to the demon invasion before him.

The cat, was a Leonin named Harith, Lightborn's Inspirer. A genius in magic and strategy, who was apparently panicking due to the chaos before him.

"Harith please you need to go now! Whatever that demon is, we don't stand a chance against it! We need their help and we need it fast!"

The leonin gritted his teeth as he held his tears back. "I can't...not like this...".

"Listen, if you don't warn Eruditio about what's happening here, then all of humanity will be doomed. Please Harith, listen to reason, you're supposed to be good at that!"

Not a moment later, a hulking warrior went flying over them, his large hammer landing beside them.

"Tigreal!" Harith shouted.

"Ggrrrh...Harith? Why are you still here?" The warrior exclaimed as he stood up using his shield.

The one before them, was the commanding officer of the Moniyan army, Tigreal the Defender.

A stab wound was seen in his leg. It would seem that not even the mightiest of the Lightborns stood a chance against the assault.

"Hah, you're bleeding Tigreal, never thought I'd see the day." Alucard remarked despite his own injuries.

"There you are..." A large demon stood on the rubble that was used by the two lightborns to hide.

Bigger than Tigreal himself, pale skin and armed with a variety of weapon from chest to leg. The menacing figure before them pose a threat more fearsome than anything humanity has ever seen.

All these lives that had been taken, all the carnage that had been wrought. He was responsible for it all.

The sole reason why the Lightborns are losing.

"Die..." The demon said in a gritty voice whilst raising his axe.

Ears ringed as a loud clashing sound was created when a shield blocked the axe's strike.

"HARITH...JUST GO!" Tigreal commanded, shaking tremendously as he struggled to hold the demon's attack.

Alucard stood up and grabbed his sword with his uninjured arm, and proceeded to strike his foe's rear. Only for the latter to block it with his bare hand.

"Futile..." The demon said before he grabbed Alucard by the neck to throw the warrior away.

The demon proceeded to strike his axe once more to Tigreal, making the hulking warrior fall to the ground.

Harith dodged to the left to avoid being squashed by Tigreal's body.

"Hands off my brother!" A female voice shouted from their right.

Tangerine coloured hair, she flew gracefully with her cable sword to slash her target's face, only for the blade to break on impact.

Having her sword broken, the girl flew back to reposition herself.

"Insolent child..." The demon said as he grabbed a spear from his back.

He threw the weapon towards one of the tangerine haired's cable, making her lose control. However, in an impressive display of agility, she was able to recover herself and land gracefully.

But the moment her feet landed on the ground, the spear from before had it's tip flying towards the girl's face.

Fortunately, it was blocked at the last second with another spear, one that had a crystal tip.

A female with white hair appeared beside the girl with the cable sword.

The two stood together, exhausted, and before them stood a threat that no manner of magic or weapon can harm.

All seemed lost, yet they were not going to give up without a fight.

"Ready Fanny?" The white haired said, barely being able to breathe.

"Till the end your highness." The other replied, preparing to fight despite her broken sword.

The duo charged towards their enemy, accompanied by a giant bullet above them.

The bullet hit the demon's face, causing an explosion to engulf his face.

The two girls jumped to strike their foe, and was met with a large sword blocking both their attacks as the smoke from the explosion fades.

Their weapons traded blows after blows, while a man in black coat was seen shooting more bullets towards the towering foe as he approached Harith.

The man helped the leonin up and calmly said.

"Harith, humanity's fate lies with you now. You can either die here with us, or warn Eruditio to give humanity a chance of survival." He continued.

"We trust you...to do the right thing...Harith..." Tigreal said as he grabbed his hammer on the ground, before charging towards the demon.

The leonin wiped his tears and slowly stood up. Seeing his fellow friends before him battling such monstrosity, he knows what must be done, but is he willing to do it?

"Go."

Harith turned around and ran as fast as he could, traversing through the rubbles as a rain of arrows volleyed before him. With the help of his magic, he was able to cover a huge distance in a matter of seconds.

Screamings were heard from every corner, but the one that made him flinched were the shouts of his squadmates.

"AAAARGHHH!" Tigreal's shout was heard, haunting the Leonin.

"Don't look back, don't look back..." Harith constantly said to himself as his body started to glow with blue light.

Soon, a magical pathway before him was created, and with it, the Leonin was able to glide through at an unbeliavable speed.

Smoke engulfed the whole castle, corpses were seen below him, both demons and humans. Harith approached the outer castle walls, his eyes filled with tears, and with a heavy heart he said.

"I'm sorry everyone..."

The leonin blinked through the wall, and was nowhere to be found.

Castle Grandlock has fallen.

"So...the cat escaped huh?" A fairly young demon asked his minion.

"Yes my liege, forgive us."

Horned, sinister and accompanied by an evil grin, he was none other than Dyrroth, the Demon Prince.

He who was once the brother of the white haired female that kneeled before him, Silvanna, princess of the Moniyan Empire.

"Tch, no matter, so long as she's here then that's more than enough for me." Dyrroth said as he held his sister by the neck.

"Get away from her!" Tigreal exclaimed, before getting hit by the demons that was holding him down.

"Hahah! Oh I do love your spirit, should I perhaps stranggle her even more?" The demon prince taunted.

"Brother...please...stop." Silvanna said as the grip on her neck tightens.

The other Lightborns were seen behind her, struggling to fight the demons that pinned them down, but to no avail.

"Oh dear sister, did you forget our father's lesson? Never...beg..." Dyrroth stated before he pushed his sister down.

Silvanna gasped for air as she tried to break the magical bonds on her arm.

As their converstaion continued, a menacing presence slowly approached them from behind.

And Dyrroth, the ruthless and savage tyrant prince, felt a shiver in his spine.

"DYRROTH!" A large figure shouted as he walked towards the demon prince.

With skin as pale as the moon and scars seen throughout his whole body, the figure before them was the one who defeated the Lightborns all on his own.

The demon armed with many, many weapons.

"Four castles...four castles I have stormed and not a single one of them was hiding him!" He exclaimed with his gritty voice, enough to terrrorize the lesser demons around him.

"Lord Zaegus...I can explain." Dyrroth said, trying to sound calm, yet a hint of fear was still heard in his tone.

"Spare me your philosophy...where is Alice." The demon spoke as he drawed the axe on his back.

The pale one took a step closer towards Dyrroth, making the latter step back. It looked like the situation was about to turn into a fight, until the Blood Queen herself showed up.

"Lord Zaegus, please calm down." She said, appearing out of thin air using her blood magic.

"Give me one good reason why you still deserve my mercy." The so called Zaegus asked.

"Well...you must understand that the one you seek has...legs. I assure you he must've escaped again."

"For the third time? No, Varkos does not run...not when humans are involved." The demon approached the blood queen, towering over her.

"My scouts have already been deployed to find him, rest assured you'll have words of Varkos' whereabout in less than a week."

The towering menace stared deep into Alice's soul, will he be lied to again? Perhaps, but the pale one wanted nothing more than to find this target of his. So he played along, even if it meant being lied to once more.

There was however, an exception.

"Three days...or you die..." The demon offered before walking away.

The tensed up Alice and Dyrroth was finally able to breathe calmly. That sense of peace however, would soon fade away, for Alice knew that she could only lie so much to prevent their deaths.

"Have you found a way to kill him yet?" Dyrroth spoke in discreet with Alice.

"Easier said than done boy." The other answered.

Alucard overheard their conversation and scoffed in the back.

"So that guy isn't actually on your side? Hah, then I hope you realize what'll happen when he finds-"

The Lightborn stopped abruptly, courtesy of Dyrroth's foot stepping on his face.

"Shut them up you halfwits!" The demon prince commanded his minions, resulting in them trying to cover the hostage's mouth.

"Oh I know...what if we sacrifice the people here to ressurect Thamuz?" Alice said with a wicked smile.

All the Lightborn's eyes widened, making the Blood Queen laugh sinisterly.

"Oh don't worry, it's your people that I'm after. All of you can be my new torture doll in the dungeons." Alice stated as she eyed the pinned warriors before her.

"Are you suggesting a blood ritual?" Dyrroth asked.

"Yes, but we will need to retrieve Thamuz's body from the abyss...and many, many souls."

"Consider it done."

The two would then look into the distance, where they spotted the one they called Zaegus standing on a ruin, overlooking the destroyed scenery before him.

His blue fiery eyes glowing, his hatred ever stronger, the pale demon clenched his fist and said.

"Varkos, I will have my revenge."
