Omake. Rhapsody For a Skeleton

by CHBat1King

After managing to find some barrels of water and soap to clean themselves, Izuku and Yamato managed to find themselves back onto Brook's ship. As the two flew to the boat, Izuku hoped that all of their efforts today paid off.

"YOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO"

The bellowing laughter of a certain skeleton answered his question.

"THANK YOU VERY MUCH." Came the cries of Brook with tears and snot falling.

Izuku early on his new journey would have questioned in great detail exactly how Brook, despite being a skeleton, could produce liquids. However, after a few months of being on the sea in this new world the answer he came to was simply "Devil Fruit Bullshit."

Not that it would have ever stopped him from brainstorming when no one was around.

"It was no problem Brook." Izuku said. "I am just happy that you can now get out of the triangle and see the sun again."

"Yeah. Yes, the sun is truly a great sign to see. I haven't seen the sun in years." Brook said, composing himself and looking at the sun that is now appearing over the hellish triangle.

"Why could I look at the sun all day even if it would burn my eyes. Oh wait, I don't have any eyes! Skull-Joke Yohohohohoho.

"Hahahaha, good one." Yamato chuckled. "So what will you do now? "You want to accompany us? You're light enough for Izuku to carry and you know these seas better than us even if you weren't around for quite a long time."

"That is very tempting Yamato and is one that on any other occasion I would take up with open arms. However, I am afraid I can't take your offer." Brook said.

"Huh, why can't you, it won't be a problem and you're really strong." Izuku said, surprised at Brooks' statement.

Brook leveled his gaze and Izuku and dropped his head. "I thank you for your compliments, but I would simply get in your way. Compared to the two of you, I can't keep up. I wasn't able to defeat Ryuuma even with your assistance and because of my weakness he was able to get away and warn the other zombies. Time was wasted because you had to take me back to the ship to mend my broken bones. So with a heavy heart I have to say that as I currently am I can't join you at this moment."

Yamato nodded in understanding. "So what will you do now, your ship isn't in good shape and it will take pretty much an entire army to command Thriller Bark to go outside the triangle?"

"I have given much thought to my predicament, and I apologize for being selfish again, but I ask for your assistance once more, primarily your flying abilities Midoriya." Brook began to kneel in front of Izuku. "You see, I made a promise to Laboon. Since I am too weak to accompany you at the moment, I might as well make up for lost time and find him again. I am not sure if he is still around or even my good friend Crocus, but I need to at least see with my own nonexistent eyes. What's more, I need to get stronger, so perhaps finding the right crew coming from Reverse Mountain would help me. I could give the young ones some tips and a journey from the start would be good for these old bones. I will make sure that the crew becomes strong enough so when you start your fight against the emperor again, you will not be alone."

Izuku looked at Brook with some sadness. "I am sad that you won't be joining us. Your music is super good, but I understand. You made a promise and now you have to keep it. So yes, let's go to Reverse Mountain, honestly I wouldn't mind seeing a giant creature that isn't trying to eat me."

Brook got back onto his feet. "I thank you Izuku, you are too kind. And you Yamato." Brook turned to Yamato who held a curious expression on their face.

"Before I play a song to celebrate our victory, since I didn't get an answer last time, may I please see your panties?"

Izuku nearly fell to the floor at Brook once again asking that question. "BROOK, YOU CAN"T JUST ASK PEOPLE THAT!"

"Sorry but I don't wear panties." Yamato casually replied.

Brook and Izuku stopped and only stared at Yamato's revelation.

"I am on a journey to become like my idol Kozuki Oden, and in order to do that I have to think about "What would Oden do" when the situation comes. As such, because Oden never wore panties in his life, neither will I. In-fact, Oden never wore anything underneath so neither shall I."

Izuku went bright red at this revelation. Brook on the other hand started to breathe just a little bit heavier.

"Well, wonders never do cease do they." Brook replied after composing himself.

"Yohohohoho, this reminds me of a very particular tavern song that will surely energize us for our journey to Reverse Mountain."

"If that is where you want to go for your trip."

A monotone voice filled the area, catching everyone by surprise. In a second after that without warning, a giant figure appeared right behind Brook.

Yamato and Izuku were too slow to react to this newcomer's sudden appearance.

"Then I will send you there."

The giant figure in an instant moved its hand towards Brook. On contact, Brook was then just gone. Disappearing from Yamato's and Izuku's sight.

"BROOK!" Yamato and Izuku screamed in unison.

Izuku stepped back a bit to get a better eye at the figure. He was a giant of a man, the same size as Moria, wearing a black shirt with a white symbol and wearing white pants. The face of the man was not someone Izuku could read properly. A broad face with pure white eyes and a hat that had what appeared to be bear ears on top of it. He was also holding a book that Izuku could only read as "BIBLE."

However, despite this and Brooks' disappearance, Izuku noticed something very particular about this sudden development. One that sent a chill down his spine. Mainly that Danger Sense did not alert him to this at all.

"Your friend is alive, he will make it to his destination in 3 days time. I have been following your exploits for some time now, Izuku Midoriya." The figure said in his never changing monotone voice.

"I have an acquaintance that would like to meet you. Do not resist."
