Carter's Pov

As I sat in my seat I looked around the strange classroom of Mrs.Fellow's English Class, it was nice. She had hung halloween decorations and had a big jack skelington diorama.

"Carter? Are you okay?" I heard and turned to see a blonde hair frecked face cheerleader seating in the seat next to me, Melody. I nodded slightly, "of course, just cant wait for this class to be over so i can get home and practice." I said with a slight smile on my face. The Phone started to ring and Mrs.Fellow stopped what she was saying.

"Keep working on those worksheets class" She said as she ran to the phone. I looked at Melody, "what do you think thats about? I bet you that Dylan got in trouble yet again." She snickered.

"I doubt that, Dylan has been sick for a week and a half. Its her first day back from school." A short brown haired guy intercepted. "Right, she had like the flu or something right? Where is she now anyways Ryan?" Melody looked around and then back at me.

Just then the sound of the phone clicking made everyone look at Mrs.Fellow, she looked kinda panicked and pale. "Okay class, single file line please."

"What why?" Ryan muttered under his breath, i stood up and looked around as the rest of my classmates filed in form. I was at the back of the line as usual. "Mrs.Fellow, my mom is calling me." A kid in the middle of the line said just out of my view. "okay Forest go take it we'll be right outside, okay class single file to the corner of the building you guys know the drill."

Is this a drill?

I felt my hand intertwine with someone else's, nearly getting whiplash as i turned behind me

Dylan

"There you are, where were you?" I whisper still walking with my classmates. "Wheres ryan and melody?" Dylan said and proceeded to look around almost looking frightened.

"Dylan are you okay?" I heard someone say, i turned to see Travis standing in front of me, his dyed green hair was pushed back a bit and faded. He looked scared and maybe a little excited, "it doesnt matter, we gotta go. Wheres Ryan and Melody. We have to go now." She said with a bit of sturn in her voice.

I looked around and spotted Ryan and Melody discussing something, i hurried up over to them and could make out what they were saying. "Its pretty weird that we have a drill during last period dont you think?"

"I mean yea‐" Melody stopped talking as she looked at me, Dylan and Travis.

"We have to go Dylan said, she seems pretty- well yeah. She seem frightened." Travis spoke, "YOU would be shitting yourself if you- we have to go now." Dylan grabbed Melody's hand without second thought pulling her away from the rest of the class.

"Dylan whats gotten into you? you need to chill, we're almost outside." Ryan said grabbing Melody's other hand. "Listen Im not playing no tug of war, let go of me please." Melody said seriously and sturn and they both let her go.

"My Dad called he was crying, he said something about some-some guy on the news saying th-that-..." Dylan trailed off tearing up. "Is he okay?" Ryan said quietly probably afraid of the answer. " we have to go, Carter are you coming?" Dylan said as she looked at me, she was trembling basically. "yeah of course, let me just tell Mrs.Fell-"

Suddenly we heard a scream coming from right down the hall.

"Stop it! Get the fuck off of me! Evan stop!" It sounded like Forest. Ryan without any hesitation started to run towards them, "oh fuck, oh my god. We have to go, we have to go now." Dylan said, Melody looked at me and i nodded. I knew we had to go, we both started booking it, Dylan close behind us.

What could this be? I know Evan isnt the friendliest but Forest sounded like he wa-

We suddenly saw them, Evan was ontop of Forest and Forest was crying trying his best to get him off. "Get off Dude get the fuck off." Ryan said as he grab Evan's collar pulling him off. Evan fell hard to the ground and Melody ran to Forest's Side helping him up to his feet. "Are you o-" i started to say, Evan lounged at Ryan, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT EVAN STOP!" I heard Melody yell. I started to run over to grab Evan, do something, somehow overpower him to get him to just calm down.

But suddenly we heard another scream, a blood curdling scream.

Evan BIT him.

"Holy shit."
