The air surrounding the island had a gloomy feel about it as if every soul walking on that island lamented the loss of a loved one - someone very close to their heart. The young gentleman's cabin was furnished with the finest of luxury a royalty could afford, and he held the rightful pride for that. The glamourous paintings hung on the cabin walls were framed in gold-plated wooden frames that only enriched the beauty of the office he spent most of his time in during the months-long voyages. And also because his dear mother was a great patron of art. The hot wind blowing outside did not help the distressed young man who marched to and fro in the immense cabin to calm himself. A habit he caught when he was a little boy from Velmir Jakus - the captain of one of his father's ships who navigated their journey to the kingdom of Uswaria for the crowning of the new Queen. On every other occasion, this habit came in aid by calming him down, unlike now when he felt more agitated as he took more steps./p

Once the door was open, Lord Vaughan marched into the castle as if it belonged to him for years. Helming his way through the maze-like hallways of the castle. It was easy for the young lord to find his way to Lord Cunningwell's study as he had spent a considerable amount of his time in this castle when he came to attend the balls. Most of his time here was spent admiring the complexities of the architecture, and the rest was spent marvelling at the young lady whose father held this castle in his possession. But currently, she was in peril and in critical need of a rescue. The study was in the east wing, a little far from Elena's chamber. This was made so that she could access the books in his study at any hour desired. Frederick felt it prudent not to knock as an excuse for his exasperation as he barged into the study./p

This young man was not the most pleasing individual to cross paths with, along with the fact that the young lord showed a great deal of interest in his dear daughter, which unnerved him. Not that Sir Frederick lacked any qualities Benjamin looked for in a groom for his daughter, but the difference in their age irked the old man. Lord Vaughan was a good ten years older than Elena, and for Sir Benjamin, they were an awful lot of years to be apart. But the young lord's prospects were not the concern of consideration currently. And now to add to his peril, the man Benjamin found imperfect for his Elena was courting her. Nothing in this world was in his favour and he was not allowed to blame anyone for that, how fair of life to do so. Her absence was as empty as her presence, but the only relief was of knowing the betrayal had ended. The waiting has come to an end. The memories of who he was might have faded but what he suffered to become what he is were still there clear in his mind. The thought of throwing the book away raged through his mind, but he opted to act otherwise. The author could not be blamed for this cruel coincidence, could he? Laughing off his pain, Davy placed the book gently on the table. But the laugh, instead of diffusing the pain, increased it unbearably. Breathing deeply, the immortal Captain marched out of the cabin. His legs carried him to his personal chamber almost instinctively. The number of times Davy helmed towards his chamber as anger boiled inside him was ungodly. The route was buried so deep in his mind that he could walk that path in sleep. And so, in no time, the cursed pirate was standing in front of his chamber's door. That hallway had no other quarters, just the door to his chamber in that gloomy, dark hallway. Bursting into the room, he was met with the sight that had greeted him for centuries - the lonely organ that was placed on the far end of the large but barren chamber. That instrument, unlike everything in his life, never betrayed him. Even after the egregiously long time, it played well. Sitting on the organ bench, he did not touch it for a long time in an attempt to calm his rage without the need for music. The organ was not a choice but a necessity for him to calm the volcano of emotion inside him. And so his tentacles came in contact with the cold surface of the keys of the organ. The result echoed through the ship. Everyone abode could feel the reverberation of the music in their body. It was not a piece of soothing music, a music that would calm one's soul. It was the proclamation of rage and pain which everyone feared. It was the unspoken rule on the Flying Dutchman that no one was to pay attention to the sudden outburst of music from the Captain's chamber and after years of serving on the cursed ship, every crew member was aware of the whispering story about the woman Davy Jones loved the most and how when she did not keep her promise causing him to do something to himself so he could feel no more. But this music narrated another story./p

Elena, who was seated on the chair, wiping the caked blood off her face, was taken aback by the tune which overpowered the clangour of the ship sailing. Curiosity infused her youthful heart, urging her to investigate it, but she was aware of the fact that the door was most positively locked from the outside. Despite knowing the truth Miss Cunningwell took a brave step towards the door, praying to the dear lord for the door to be unlocked despite all odds. As her soft skin came in contact with the cold metal of the knob, chills ran down her spine. The uncertainty of what was on the other side of the door thrilled her, yet she felt compelled to quench her thirst for curiousness. A squeak escaped her lips as the knob turned swiftly without a noise, opening the door. Cautiously pushing the door open, Elena peaked outside to find the hallway empty. The moment she took a step outside the room her captor was generous enough to give her, a thrill flushed through her body as she walked through the inaptly lit corridor. It did not take her long to reach the open bridge where everyone was performing their duties, unaffected by the strangely beautiful music. Elena carefully made her way through the bridge as she avoided getting into someone's path, and to her blissful relief, every crew member blatantly ignored her existence. But that failed to refrain the young girl from chasing the source of echoing music. The noise of the waves crashing against the hull and the cursed crew shouting their way through the work made the task incredibly tough, but she kept on with her quest. Eventually, despite the assault on senses the ship was doing on her, Elena managed to find the dark hallway when the resonation grew stronger. But before she could have even taken a step towards the hallway, she was pulled away by a strong pair of hands caught hold of her. The gasp that left her lips was inevitable as she was caught off guard./p
