So I've decided this story is going to be part of the Neozoic Tales Canon (How it will not disrupt what has been established will be revealed at the end of the story) One thing that was established in the Neozoic Tales is that with the Turtles and Splinter there time in the filthy sewers also mutated their mircobiome further in addition to the Mutations caused by the TCRI Mutagen if you know anything about pet reptiles you know about the danger of Salmonella bacteria the Salmonella in the Turtles' intestines has Mutated into a particurally toxic strain that is complete harmless the the Turtles' themselves but can be particurally harmless to humans and even other mutants even if they are reptiles if they're reptiles who didn't grow up in the sewers, this normally isn't a problem because reptiles don't always shed Salmonella and they normally wash their hands after using the bathroom, so that's what is being hinted at in this chapter...

As Arctica turned around Don sighed but realized he had to do what he had to do to survive so he went to the farthest corner from Arctica (Whoever was in the other cage seemed to be sound asleep)

As Don proceeded to empty his bowels he thought to himself 'Poor Girl...Been here for two whole months! If she hasn't been here as long as most of the others, how how long have those poor wretches been here?!"

While respectfully turned around Arctica's sharp canine nose caught a horrible smell! She was accustomed to the smell of the manure of the mutant prisoners but this was unlike anything she had smelled before! This smelled particurally rancid! Like manure that had gangrene! Obviously she didn't want to embaress Donatello so she quickly pinched her nose closed (Using the knuckles of her fingers to avoid slashing herself with her own claws)

Don didn't have to wait very long for the robots, he felt his side being poked as he was finishing with his business, startling him and causing him to jump.

As he turned around the robot had already collected the droppings on it's white side were the illuminated letters 'Sample Collected For Analysis' and Don immediately understood what was going on, as unpleasant as the situation was Don could see Feral was still a very throrough scientist who was clearly 'Waste Not, Want Not' before he got to vivisect a Mutant he would analyze a Mutant's bodily wastes until he could get a Mutant on his operating table.

Don could imagine his brothers' reactions to this...He could imagine Mikey being grossed out and baffled asking since Feral was feeding them all the same thing what could he possibly learn from their waste...Don knew feces was more than just food, you can learn a lot about a creature from their waste, feces is also how the body disposes of old blood cells and also you can learn a lot about a creature's microbiome that way...

Arctica was still turned around, in the darkened room Don couldn't see she was holding her nose.

"Hey." Don said quietly "How...How you doing?"

Arctica turned her head "We should probobly get to sleep," She said "It's lights out time and if we keep talking our neighbors will begin complaining and we'll probobly attract the attention of Karl and Igor..." She gestured with her head "...Those two guys."

'So that's what their names are...' Don thought to himself but he said "You're right...We should try to rest..." He sighed and as he began to lay down on the cold steel floor.

"My family's got to be worried sick about me..." He murmured to himself as he curled on his side knowing this was going to be a painful sleep.

Don's mention of family reminded Arctica of her own family, which she hadn't seen in years...Even before she came to this world...As she lay down for the night she wasn't sure how she was going to get to sleep she was so excited! She had been receiving messages in her dreams telling her that her salvation would come when she met a Mutant who believed her...

I'm a bit fasinated by digestion find it fasinating, blame it on that Magic School Bus episode where they went into Arnold's digestive system, anyway I realize that this story has what others that had failed didn't a sense of urgency that keeps the story moving
