"Kid, at least get some sleep first. I don't want you to say something you might regret. Let's say you go to talk to your father. What do you think the consequences might be? Either A) he stops you from going to school tomorrow, meaning you won't get your freedom, or B) he could akumatise you out of anger resulting in your father having even more power over you. Don't you want your freedom?" Plagg rambles, almost tearing up at the possibility of losing his charge.

Seeing his Kwamee in distress, Adrian lowers himself to the ground taking a deep calming breath. "Ok, Plagg. Your right. Storming into his office wouldn't help Ladybug at all."

Seeing that his charge wasn't about to go and get himself caught or worse. Switch sides. He let the tears escape and gave Adrian a hug to last centuries. 'This isn't the end. We will defeat this monster. Even if it's the last 'thing' we do.' They thought simultaneously.

About five minutes later, Adrian went to bed thinking about what was going to happen when he woke up the next day.

As his charge was falling asleep, Plagg was lost in thought ' If I go to find Nooroo, I can find out what Hawkmoth is planning, but if I do find them, then I could be caught, which leaves Adrian being defenceless. I could go to Tiki. Getting some advice from sugar cube sounds like a good idea, but that still leaves Adrian being defenceless if his father decides to send a midnight Akuma.'

Realising that both options wouldn't be as fun as he initially thought, Plagg went back to laying on the pillow out of sight of the bedroom door yet still being close to his partner in case danger should arise.

Adrian awoke with a start, all his senses on high alert. His sleep had been restless, and when Natalie opened his door to wake him, all of last night's events made his fear of losing Plagg and his freedom spike into his fight or flight reflexes.

Upon realising it was just Natalie coming to ensure he was getting ready for school, he let his body relax slightly, still on high alert in case they had found out about his secret double life.

When Natalie left to prepare breakfast, Adrian got ready for school. Using his school bag, he packed all the things he would need and didn't want to leave. So that Natalie wouldn't be suspicious, he placed all his school books and equipment on top, hiding what was packed. 'I can't come back to this prison, not anymore.'

Within forty-five minutes, Adrian was in the dining hall, ready to eat his breakfast and get to school. "Unfortunately, your father's unable to sit with you for breakfast as he is preparing for today's Akuma attack. He would like you to be at your fencing practice for precisely 3:45. So you can be safe since you refuse to stay in your room today." After Natalie revealed this information, she had breakfast wheeled in.

On the ride to school, Adrian began to think about what kind of education Natalie would have gone through and why she would be so insane as to follow his father's insanity. "Natalie, what courses did you apply for in school and college?"

"Business studies." That was all Natalie replied in her monotone voice. Seeing that Adrian was not taking that answer, she went on, "I met your father in high school. When he said he wanted to be a fashion designer, I decided I would be his secutary. I went into business studies so that I could get the qualifications and have the knowledge to better assist him. Seeing my determination, he hired me. A couple months later, he met your mother and decided that he would design clothes for her movies. I began to get to know your mother and learned her likes and dislikes. After reporting these to your father, we worked on a way for him to ask your mother out. It didn't take much, and after that first date, she fell in love with him, and your father devoted the rest of their lives to making your mother happy. So although I only did buisness studies, I accomplished more than you would think."

Adrian was shocked. Without Natalie, his parents wouldn't have met, and he wouldn't have been born 'that was not what I wanted to know. I guess it answers why she is still helping Father. She wants his respect and admiration. Although I was wrong when I brought it up with Father, she definitely likes him even if he doesn't like her the same way.' "If you only did buisness, where did my assignments come from?" Adrian questioned.

"From my childhood classes, I wrote up all the questions I had done and handed them to you. Once you were finished, I marked them. It's not like they ever changed anything. You were a quick study." She finished as the limo pulled up to the school. "Is that all, Adrian?" She questioned.

"Yes. That's all. Thank you, Natalie." He responded. 'But it did change, Maths changed, and I got an A- due to using the wrong method. I guess that just goes to show. I should never have been homeschooled'. Adrian thought to himself as he walked up the steps to go to his first class.
