A.N I don't own Harry Potter
In the Slytherin fourth year girls' room, Daphne was curious. "Sara, you don't have those anti-Slytherin shirts?"
"What are you talking about?"
Pansy and Millie had their suspicions where Sara was an outcast and wasn't caught dead at any quidditch game. "The ones that say what is for dinner, snake roast?"
"I don't own anything like that. I am sorry to ruin your fun but I was an outcast in Gryffindor. I didn't join in on those activities."
Tracy rolled her eyes. "You know your boyfriend is going to make you watch next year."
"Oh joy"
Everyone laughed as they went to bed. The next morning Sara was taking her morning medication with Snape. Cassius watched as his witch downed the pill.
"Is it temporary or is it permanent? "
"Unfortunately it's permanent. It was the risk my godfather took getting the tumor addressed by Wizarding means. Of course there is the muggle Healthcare system which is barbaric."
"What do they do differently in your case?"
"I most likely have to go in for surgery which would have side-lined me from classes for weeks. It would be followed up by muggle radiation which essentially burns the tumor out of you."
At breakfast, the Gryffindors were glaring daggers at Sara. Cassius decided to wrap his arm around Sara's waist.
"Are you deliberately trying to stir the hornets nest, Cassius?"
Cassius tried to look innocent but Graham agreed. "Mate, the rivalry just heated up. Sara, just let Cassius screw with their heads. Your former housemates have had it too good for far too long."
At the Head Table, Snape looked very smug after last night. Minerva was quietly seething. Thirteen years of hard work was gone. Sara may be the child of her two favorites but she has to do as she is told or else she could go dark.
Classes were surprisingly uneventful except for Sara earning thirty points for Slytherin by lunch. The Daily Prophet was delivered with an ominous letter to the public that made Sara's blood run cold. Worst of all, it was front page news.
Dear DMLE,
I am surprised you forgot about me after all, I have already been cleared. I am the one to kidnap Heiress Casandra Flint and essentially, I am the one to ensure that Heiress Potter could not be raised by her biological family.
You may figure out who I am but you will do nothing now. Don't worry, I won't touch the Potter heiress, although I would enjoy engaging the houses of Black, Flint, and Selwyn. To think, a true blood feud will emerge from three Noble and Ancient Families.
Toodles For Now
Sara was whiter than white and shaking. Cassius got Sara out of the Great Hall. At the Hit Wizards, Justinian was on the warpath.
"My sister's kidnapper wrote this."
Amelia Bones was in the office with the case file. "I have the security camera footage. It looks like Lord Wood in front of the Prophet."
"He was one of the suspects but was cleared. It's time to take a second look."
In the Puddlemere locker room, Oliver Wood and Marcus Flint were playing on the same team. Oliver smirked. "I knew my grandfather kidnapped Cassandra Flint. Besides, it was the best. It kept your aunt out of Slytherin, Flint."
Marcus slugged Oliver so hard his eye socket shattered. "I refuse to play on the same team as this piece of shit. The reason why you were signed before me Wood had nothing to do with talent. Your family are diehard Dumbledore arse kissers."
The coaching staff tried to talk him out of quitting but it wouldn't work. Of course his little cousin must be freaking out.
Later that evening, hit wizards breached Wood for questioning. He smirked in his favorite chair. "It took you long enough."
"Put your wand down where I can see it and put your hands up Wood. You are under arrest for the kidnapping of Cassandra Flint."
Liam O'Brian who graduated in 1978 with James and Lily put Augustine Wood under arrest for a crime that he committed over thirty years ago. When Marcus got home from quidditch practice, he told his mother what happened.
"Are you going to go for that law apprenticeship? You had the grades for it."
"I will. Uncle Luke said it would be no problem for me to work in his office while I work on the apprenticeship . The bloody bastards on Puddlemere didn't give a shit that Wood was smirking about the whole ordeal. That's what threw me over the edge. Let me guess, Dad and Uncle Richard will be declaring a blood feud on the Woods?"
" I would expect it. Expect Sirius to also declare blood feuds on the Wood family as Lord Black and he is voting as proxy for the Potter and Peverall seats. Afterall, if Wood didn't kidnap your aunt and your aunt and uncle were still murdered, your cousin could have been raised by your father and I instead."
Back at Hogwarts, the students were done with classes for the day. Sara had football practice and she was taking her fury out on the footballs. One of her friends, Natasha, a Ravenclaw and the girl goalie cringed.
"Someone is in a bad mood."
Professor Sinistra shook her head. "Be careful Sara, that is how you make a serious error that could cause you to get hurt."
"Sorry Professor"
Sara did ease up but everyone knew why she was in a bad mood. The day's events would do that to anyone with half of a brain. After practice, she wanted to go back t9 the common room. Cassius was waiting for her. He had two brooms.
"I want to see you fly."
"Come on, isn't flying class enough?"
"No, and I'll be near you."
"You are not taking no for an answer, are you?"
"Of course not."
Sara got on the broom and Cassius could see her getting paler as she went up. She tried to lower herself but Cassius wouldn't let her.
"Come on love, this is nothing compared to the dragon."
"Can you let me battle a dragon again? I promise to be careful."
The chaser pulled her onto his broom. He had a tight grasp of his witch. He shook his head.
"Nice try"
"Bugger"
