Author Note: This chapter was heavily influenced by the Owl House.

I do not own Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Enjoy!

She could do it.

First she froze all those sellers accounts.

She didn't have the foresight to find out which buyer wouldn't be a mistake.

So she put up a message saying she was undergoing restructioning.

And then she moved hotels and began to buy ingredients to expand her core and add space to it.

She didn't care how painful it was, she will begin her own magical world and just so she doesn't have a repeat of her magical core forming, she took the potions under a shower head.

When she took it, words couldn't describe how painful it was but she hung in there, cletched her teeth and swallow that pain of pain.

So she endured through it and managed to succeeded.

When it was over, she stood in the shower for an hour, just letting the hot shower head wash away her pain and could envision a sappling.

A sampling of magic, that would grow with the consumption of magic.

The higher the concentration of magic, the more rapid the rate of growth was.

She could also sense magic now and her head immediantly snapped to the massive one off in a certain direction but she rightly guessed that it was the city of Magic.

Paris.

That was city was no man's land for current her because she wasn't strong enough yet not to be just a bystander in danger.

Also, what about that monk that showed up on the news?

Could he sense magic?

Could Hawk Moth?

She needed to stay away from that city.

So she decided to treasure hunt around it and her senses lead her to unexpected high contraction of magic in things nobody would think much of, such as a paticular plant or item.

The world thought only the miraculous had noteworthy magic, when it was simply not true.

The Miraculous was just the only items flashy enough to gain the world's attention.

When she found the items, not only did she experience changes in her space, but the item rehomed in it too.

It felt like she was the keeper of magical items but she didn't want to be.

She had to stop because she was running out of money and that last one, did something to her eyes that forced normal her to wear shades.

She needed a guardian for this space.

After all, what if somebody who had the means to, wanted to break in?

She thought about it but every option in the book was either too expensive for her or the price she had to pay was too damn high.

But what if she turned somebody into a guardian?

Not an adult.

A child.

A child was far easier to deal with then an adult.

Plus, she was sure the child would love it.

She would.

But what kind of child?

A sick child.

A child at the end of their life so they would have no problems paying the price for such a position.

First she had to make money first.

She made another round of low level potions that would do stuff like make your hair enviously shiny for a bit or give you amazing temporary strength.

And due to her good costumer rep and the news report, they were snapped up immediantly and another round began.

When all of the potions were on their way, she googled sick kids and saw pages and pages of family'd asking for donations and videos.

However, she did run into a low level social media account where nothing like that was happening.

It was just a sick 4 year old kid, living his best life as best as he could, weither it was only online gaming or a day out.

Not one mention of a donation, picture or family.

Not even what he had.

His name was Andy.

Oh.

Was he a orphanaged kid who was abandoned by the hospital? She thought.

She decided to message him and ask him what he thought about the world of magic.

The kid replied back instantly and this began a chain of messages.

Messages that didn't look creepy and in fact, could be regarded as role playing.

Meanwhile, the world was raving about the stuff her costumers could do.

A woman in Australia lifted her own house easy on camera and caused guys to either love or fear her.

And people still hadn't tracked her down yet.

She eventually got the kid to private text her and thats when she revealed that she was actually the maker of the health potion on tv and did potions for a living.

Of course, the boy got excited and asked if he can be healed.

She told him, she could do him one better and asked if he wanted to be the magical guardian to her magical world.

And yes.

She would be more then happy to adopt him.

The boy got excited and said yes, he would do anything to get a position.

Well, she told him how she was going to smuggle seemingly ordinary stuff to stop him and she would deliver, the final package to him in person.

So she began sending him, not suspicious looking stuff and even if the kid blabbed, only the children would believe him anyway.

Meanwhile she continue to sell and run from the uproarious world.

But she soon noticed a difference at the post office's she visited, the workers would side eye her, if they felt something like vials in her wrapped pack she presented them.

Who knows what would happen if they saw that it was indeed the products on the news.

She was sure, those potions would have never made it to the costumer.

She wondered when she would have to stop hidding?

A month later, she disguised as sweet old woman and went to the childs hospital with gifts for not just the boy but all of the children there, just so she didn't look suspicious.

And they allowed her in.

After all, who would turn away a sweet old lady bringing gifts to sick kids?

She found the boy and gave him, her last present to hjm and showed him her now red circled eyes and winked.

The kids face was priceless as he saw and then he lit up more then everybody else.

It was a very memorable day.

In the present was instructions and what rules he had to follow to be anchored to the world, along with an outfit sparkling moon wizard outfit she had made for him.

Well, she didn't expect for the kid to allow himself to die that evening or that he would find her so easily.

She was not ready to see a shadowy figure with eyes and white linework in the morning.

She screamed for a bit, scaring him before she managed to calm down and welcomed him to the world of magic.

The boy seemed in awe of his new self as he got to see cool animated things on the walls.

She said. "Let's call you...The Collector"

And he said. "The Collector? That's the coolest name I've ever heard!"

He liked it.

She said. "Okay, now for some ground rules. As people of magic, we got to look strong even if we don't feel it. It's just something people expect from us. I have to look calm and composed even though I'm on the run."

And the kid said. "Why are you on the run? The world would love to know you. You ll be a hero"

She sighed and said. "Yes, but people rely on you too much when your special." And seeing his confusion said. "One day, you'll see what I mean"

She then said. "Rule two. Stay away from Paris"

And he said. "Oh, ur... I already broke that rule."

And she said. "Wait? What?"

He said. "Well, you were asleep and I felt a lot of energy and went to check it out and ended up in Paris"

And then he said, excited. "And then I met these creatures called Kwamis and they played with me. You should have seen their faces, they were so shocked to see me. I learned so much, even who their holders were just by staying around long enough and hidding"

And she said. "Wait, what? Really? Can you say?"

He said. "Those creatures can't say. But I can"

And that's how she learned the identities of each Miraculous holder, including Hawk Moth.

She freaked out of course when she learned his name.

But in that moment, she wasn't that surprised.

World famous fashion designer, Gabriel Agreste.

From what little she had seen of the man, he did feel like the type to do evil things behind closed doors and she was sure, she wasn't the only one who thought so too.

But she was not even shocked that nobody had truly pursued this thought.

The man was rich and influenctional, you needed some damn good evidence for the police to even do a well fair check on the man.

And evidence like 'The guardian of the Magical world told me' would have you laughed at.

Plus, the man had more then enough money to cover his tracks better then most people.

After the shocking revelation had passed, she said. "And third rule. This more like an ask then a rule."

She then said. "Please be my eyes when I do work. The world is not safe and I can't be aware all the time. Its exhausting"

And the kid blinked before agreeing.

Then she said. "Now go and have fun. And stay away from those who can sense you"

However, instead of running free, like his age, he didnt movie.

Huh?

The kid said, shyly. "Ur...can I call you, mom?"

Silence.

She was stunned before she smiled and said. "Yes, you can call me, mom. And I'll call you son."

She then said. "Goodbye son"

And the kid smiled wide and left.

But she soon realised letting a 4 year out there without a filter, came with several uncomfortable questions.

Like why were so many adults wrestling in the bedroom at night.

She had to explain to him where baby's come from, in the most natural way she could.

It was a very akward conversation for her but she thought she did pretty well with it.

And the kid seemed to be taking his job seriously while also enjoying watching the fights between good and evil the most.

Because unlike her, he had no problem being up close and personal to the action.

And when he missed being solid, she followed the rule and struck a deal with him so he can be solid.

Even for some time.

He used it to eat food, huge her or play videos games.

He loved his new body and she got to be greatful for the rules placed on this child, because it quickly become obvious that as the guardian, this kid had way too much power.

And this will increase, the more magic she takes in

If she wasn't careful, this child could end mankind just because he thought it would be fun to do so.

The rules on this kid was indeed the only thing keeping everybody safe from the damage this child can do.

However, he seemed very interested in her work and her ability to disguise herself.

But he was also concerned when she put herself through pain to get stronger.

But he seemed to understand after a sit down and she gave him a simplified version on why she does what she does, even using the drive he had to become the Collector as an example.

And maybe, it was what the kid had seen out there that the 4 year seemed to comprehend far more then she thought he could.

And then she hit the jack pot.

She found a Miraculous in an old store.

What was with the world putting vauled items in easy to access places?

When she found it, the aura alone made the sappling into a young tree, that's how crazy the amount of magic was.

Even the kid felt much stronger.

However, she didn't transform with it because from what the kid said, transformation meant she was wearing a magical creature like a skin suit, with or without their permission and that made her cringe.

But it was interesting meeting Yvav, the wolf kwami, as the creature understandably freaked out seeing how much magic was here.

Then the Kwami got excited when she told him, that she was starting her own magic realm and introduce the creature to the Collector.

The kwami went with the Collector to the realm and the two seemed to hit it off pretty well.

She continued on her current route and 6 months after finding the book, the Collector came to her and said.

"Hey, mom, did you lie about where babies came from?"

And she said. "Huh? Of course not."

And he said. "Well, there are babies growing out of a tree right now."

And she said. "Wait. What?"

Babies growing out of what tree?

He said. "The magical tree inside of you has babies growing out of it."

And she opened her mouth as her mind came to the slow relationship of what that actually meant.

He said. "What?"

She said, slowly. "Collector...I want you to listen to me. Those babies on the tree aren't people"

And the kid face changed.

She said. "Well, they are but not the people from here. Their born from pure magic"

And he said. "Pure magic? What does that mean?"

And she said. "It means, their born differently like the Kwamis. You wouldn't say those creatures were humans right? The same for the babies"

And he said. "Woah." Before saying. "So is this bad?"

She said, smiling. "Actually this is great. A whole group of people will grow up in a world where having magic is normal and something like being hungry doesn't exist"

And he said. "Really? That sounds like a place lots of people would want to live in."

And she said. "It should be and the quality of life depands on what I put in it. I will make sure the world is perfect. Or almost"

She then said. "As for this world, these people are a lost cause."

And the kid said. "I'll say. People ruin good things all the time here. It's like watching locus swarm. A lot of people just don't want others to be happy. It sucks but all that world peace stuff isn't happening in this world."

He had observed so much in just a short amount of time.

She said. "Well, can you keep me informed about the babies? Both of us are going to have to work together to make sure the magical world doesn't follow this world in awfuleness"

And he said. "Oh, so your going to get smart then?"

She said. "Very smart. Thankfully, my schedual isn't so full and those who rule have very public lives that I can learn from. Plus, I have magic. Maybe it's time to settle down and build my own secret place that can cut out the post office option"

And the kid said. "Oh, good idea because I can tell you. Those building are crawling with spies. It's not a good idea to go into one of those right now."

And she said. "Thanks for telling me"

She was saddened that another route had been cut from her but she had an entire world to take care of.

She really should have her own place by now with all she had gained from the book.

Then she looked down at her seemingly ordinary self.

Inside her was an entire world of magic that lives and dies if something happens to her.

That's a scary thought.

So she has to get stronger.

One day, the world will hear the word 'Witch Queen' and on that day, her and her people will be ready for them.
