Dear Mister Stone,

Once again, I must decline your project proposal. At first, I found your insistence somewhat flattering, but now I am outright refusing to work with you. You have not purchased the lot where you want the house to be built and therefore you cannot build, or even have someone else build for you in that spot. In fact, when I called the Town Welfare Center to check on the status of that land, you had not even applied for it! Until you are in possession of permission from the Gehennan government to build there, it is illegal to perform any kind construction in that area.

That is not the only problem with your proposal, however. The design that you are asking me for requires materials costing in the thousands and if I'm going to build anything for you or anyone else, those materials have to be paid for and it is not my responsibility or obligation to foot the bill for it. By agreeing to that, I would be out several thousand pounds for a house that isn't even mine! It does not matter how many times you claim that this is "no way for a business to be run" because while this may be something that you do not want to hear, that is exactly how businesses are run. You have to pay for the things and services you want in order to receive them.

That said, even if you agree to do both of these things, your proposal will still be denied, as I have no desire to work with you, given the behaviour you displayed in your previous letter. While I am sympathetic to you trying to find a place to live, I am not a charity and I won't let you abuse me any further.

Sincerely,

Logan Kendrick
